View Full Version : I'm new and just got a BFP...praying for a GIRL!!

Hi everyone!!

I am new here and I have two beautiful sons. My husband and I have been trying to sway girl mainly using Shettles for the past 4-5 months. We were unsuccesful so I stopped doing the cutoff.

Last week I got a BFP!!! Boy or girl this is our last child so I am praying so hard for a baby girl!! I'm a little worried though, because as I mentioned we no longer did much of a cutoff since we were unsuccessful. I'm pretty sure we BD 24 hours before ovulation...give or take a few hours.

Anyway here is my sway...would love to have some comments, feedback and reassurance! Thanks!

Diet: Basically just drank lots of crystal light.
Supplements: Calcium citrate, cranberry, vitex, vitamin b6
Lube: Sylk
Timing: bd every other day from AF to 24 hours before Ovulation.

im new here aswell and just a BFP too.:)
except i never really got a chance to start my sway...
i have 4 little boys and im also hoping for a girl this time.

How exciting to get a BFP! Timing is supposed to be the least important sway factor from what I've read. FX for your little girl.

Congrats!! I've also heard timing isn't the most important so don't stress. Hope you get your girl!

Hey, that is not a bad sway at all. I've looked into timing a LOT and the best studies, done with the best technology and the best monitoring of when O actually took place (rather than just going off spotty record keeping and vague memories, like some studies have done - people know they're "supposed" to have conceived their kids of a particular gender on a certain day and that skews the results) have found an equal distribution of both boys and girls conceived every day of the cycle. PLEASE don't worry about timing in any way - you'll find plenty of gals on here who did perfect Shettles timing for both boys and girls and gotten opposites.

Just wanted to let you all know that I am having an elective ultrasound at 17 weeks on December 23. My anatomy scan isn't until January 20 and my antsy self can not wait that long. I will let you all know if my girl sway worked!

I Love hearing that atomic sagebrush. We have tried shettles for last 2 attempts and not got preg. I have been looking into 0 + 12 but stats not that good either. It seems this really is the least deciding factor. Am thinking we will just do abstaining and go for 0 ?? (Plus everything else!)
