so I'm swaying girl and have really irregular cycles so i decided to start temping to see if i even o.
so my dilemma is we dtd on sat night ( opk was looking close ) got a positive opk and a peak cb on Sunday and now on monday i got the most positive opk i have ever gotten ...... :( and i haven't thad a temp spike yet so I'm a bit worried if sat night is to much of a cut off and if we should do it again tonight ( which would be very close to ovulation. we would have a day in-between with no fr.
will i still have a chance with a 3-4 day cutoff to even get pregnant? feeling so annoyed at myself . I have been doing other sway factors swell as i know timing apparently has been debunked

Am sort in assimilar position. I bd in the very early hours of Saturday morning, i was doing e4d's. On Sunday morning I got a static smilie on cb digital and a peak on the cb fertility monitor. I decided not to have another attempt last night. Timing has been debunked but one attempt has been shown to sway, so in relation to this your like me still in with a shout. I just felt attempting last night would have been two attempts in my fertile window and within 48 hrs, serious blue terrority, my children were also up repeatedly and in our bed, so universe intervened to make sure I did not and I was too exhausted this morning. I will be interested in people's posts on your chances with a 3 to 4 day cut off. I think sperm can survive up to 5 days but I read somewhere that the average is 1 -2 days. I think I read a post recently from a lady who had ruled out her chances because of a long cut off but got her bfp, so anything is possible. I had intense pains last night about half 11, not sure if it was ovulation pain, if so it was right on the cusp of two days so thinking there may not have been many swimmers left. Good luck and fingers crossed, I will follow with interest, please update us!

Sorry, I only just now saw this.
Timing doesn't sway. 3-4 day cutoff is possible but not probable to conceive.
In this situation what you need to do is not what will sway best (since no one knows that, not even me) but what you personally need to do. If you absolutely have to have the best sway or you'll never forgive yourself, and you are ok with lower odds of conception, then you'd stick with the one attempt. If you are feeling like you'd rather get pregnant and are ok with a slightly lower chance of pink (possibly) for a better chance of conception, have another attempt. If you can't decide, flip a coin. There is no right or wrong answer, and it very well may be different for every person anyway (some people do get pregnant with 3 day cutoffs, others go for months/years trying it and can't) so go with your own personal best interests or even leave it up to fate to decide.

But 2 attempts is not THAT much worse than one. It was 3 that really swayed strongly blue.
The odds of getting pregnant with 4/5 day cutoff are vanishingly small (a recent study I just read said 1/10 of 1 percent got pregnant with 5 day cutoff - that is 1 person in 1000) and most of the people who think they got pregannt with 5 day cutoff, ovulated sooner than they thought they did.
O pains can come before, during, and after O so I would not put a lot of stock into that for pinning down when you ovulated.
Good luck ladies!!!

Just keep going with every 4 days in this type of scenario.
