Hi Everybody,

I'm new and excited to be here. My husband and I (both 30) have been married for just over 2 years and we are hoping to start TTC in November/December. We really want our first to be a boy, so I'm trying to learn and prepare for swaying a little in advance. Right now I'm trying to decide between multivitamins... which of these 3 look best to you for boy-swaying?

I'm planning to take one of them along with Coq10, EPO, Fish Oil, and anything else you guys think would be a good idea! I take anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds (meeting with psych soon to try to switch to non-teratogenic options) so I really want to do whatever I can to undo the pink sway from them.

Thank you so much for any help you can offer!!!

Thanks!

I'm also considering taking these pills (nutrition info below) to try to add more fruit and veg to my diet. Would they put me at too high of a dosage for any vitamins and minerals combined with the one-a-day?

Not sure, you would have to ask Atomic about those, I am sure she will get to you. I take wheat grass pills suggested by this site. And I do banana berrie smoothies with green v8 and a little whole milk. I am going to try to put a picture of the wheat grass hope it works32548in

No problem, I know how it is when you find out about swaying and you want to do everything just right. This site has helped me out so much. And Atomic is such a blessing here. I have 4 girls and just got into the swaying in May, I am now in the 2ww wait so praying my sway worked for me. Good good luck to you.:)

Also this is everything I take. One a day women. Fish oil 500mg, wheat grass 3 pills a day although Atomic said to take 2 a day, but I don't get enough veggies in Thats why I take 3. And 2 pills of folic acid 800mcg a day. One in the morning one at night. And eating 3 meals a day and snacking in between each meal. And also my smoothies.

Hi Julie, I expanded on this more in the other spot you posted but I vote for one a day. :)

The fruit and veg pills people have asked after them before. They ~should~ be ok but i have not seen enough people use them yet to be able to definitively say yes. It's not that I think they sway pink, I don't, it's just that I prefer to have firsthand evidence where I've seen like 20 people take them and get boys before I say yay or nay.

Thanks Atomic!
I think I'll give them a miss, then. Do you think the wheat grass tablets would be good to add, like DesiG takes?

I never took them when I got boys, but I do know lots and lots of people who did take them for their sways and seemed to have success (of course we cannot know if that is down to wheatgrass or what, but at the least we know they can't be swaying pink!!) I do recommend wheatgrass tabs or juice for my sway plan ladies. :)

Is wheatgrass safe to take when breastfeeding?

And 2000 mg is what you'd recommend?

DesiG, do the tablets taste terrible or are they okay?

No I thought they would, but they are not bad at all.

Allegedly, but I would probably stick with the occasional use just to be absolutely safe. So little about any of this is known.

I don't know enough to know if there is a necessary minimum amount or not. This is one of those things that is a "more or less" thing where everyone is using wildly different amounts.
