View Full Version : To attempt or to not attempt?!

Need advice.!

I want to have a summer baby to complete our family.
Specifically a June or July baby only. I will only be TTC for Sept and Oct. Possibly November. So 3 attempts only.

I am about 9+ weeks or so on the LE diet. I was going to make my first attempt in September after my AF. Unfortunately for some reason AF arrived VERY early this month. Which means it threw off my first attempts timing.
Question is...
Do I attempt right after AF this month which would not be ideal timing (we are moving etc) and therefore give me a late may due date.
Or
Do I wait until after my next AF (which I have no idea when that will be?) Just to give me a late June baby?
This second option gives me more time on diet and it's better for our own timing with moving etc..
But only gives me 2 total attempts.

Thoughts?
Do I try early Sept to give me a may baby with 3 attempts total or wait and only have 2 attempts?

While I always cheer for a new baby Gemini to come into the world, I think the timing and everything indicates to me that waiting is best.

Question - how sold are you on only trying for 2 months??

I would go ahead and try if you only have a short window. I tried this too and it didn't work for me as I never fell pregnant during any of those attempts, so things could take longer. I started the diet in May 15 to have my first attempt in Oct 15 and too this day, I am still trying and I never had a problem falling pregnant with my first 2 boys, although I am 38 now, so age could be a factor for me. Best of luck to you

Well the thing is that we were going to have our first attempt after this AF originally anyway. The only difference is that it's been pushed up by 9 days... creating a may baby not June. I think the biggest thing now is the fact that I don't feel like I have lost enough weight on the diet. As of today I have lost a total of 5 pounds.
And last pregnancy I got very sick from 6 weeks until 14. If I give it a go this month that leaves me super sick for October and I have a lot on the go for October so it isn't ideal.
However I do agree that it probably will not happen the first month anyhow.
I am so torn.

What does hubby think?? I would let someone else make the decision instead of spending a lot of time debating with yourself about it.
