This is my first month using Clomid. I'm taking 50mg days 3-7. Right now, I've taken my second dose.

I'm hoping some of you that have taken it before can offer some advice. I'm planning on using my opks starting CD9-10. What about temping? I've read that it works for some and doesn't for others.

Thanks!

On clomid it was really weird for me, I tried temping that month but my temps were all over the place. I didn't see a big rise even after my assumed ovulation but I FELT hot if that makes any sense... I literally felt like an oven after ovulation... Don't know if it was because it was clomid ovulation or if it's cause of conception that same cycle.. So even though temping wasn't working for me I still knew my temp had to be way higher if that makes sense.

Hope others can help you more and oh my gosh FX so hard for you!!!

I was able to temp ok with clomid. I think you need to wait 3 days to use an opk.

I feel that for most people temping just adds to the confusion (I think you commented on a couple recent threads where this was the case) BUT you are a pretty expert temper, XX, and I think you can probaby continue. Most of the time the people who are fooled are either not expert tempers, or put wayyyyyy too much stock into temping as this guaranteed thing when all it is is a computer algorithm that can be tricked.

Yes I'd wait at least 3 days after stopping Clomid, to start OPK. Clomid can cause false pos OPK and since it's really rare to O until at least 5 days after.

^^^ and if you do want to start sooner, just be aware that you may get a positive on CD 9 after stopping it on CD 7, have attempt if you want to at that point, but just realize that you 99.999% certainly are not ovulating that soon after coming off it.
