Hi Ladies,
So after swaying for 6 months and BFNs.. I found out I had endometriosis and had to have a laparoscopy procedure. After that hubby and I both dropped swaying. I did keep some stuff. But one month later surprise BFP!! We are both very excited but I can't get out my head that I didn't track ovulation and if I conceived when I think I did we had 4 attempts =\ how important is one attempt when trying to conceive a girl??
THANKS FOR ANY INPUT LADIES :)

It's helpful but lots of people conceive girls without it! You always have a chance.

Congrats on your BFP!!! One attempt is just one part of the picture. Were you doing anything else like LE diet or cardio?

Thank you ladies for your reply!
I stopped cardio but was doing it previously 4 times a week for 60-90 mins. I was doing the PCOS diet, skipping breakfast, skipping all the no nos like red meat, bananas, garlic, onions, etc. and I was also drinking peppermint tea, pregnitude , folic acid, baby aspirin, magnesium, taking fiber when I remembered, and a small amount of cinnamon. Maybe I didn't drop as much as I thought before typing it out. But I'm still just so nervous.

Jasiahsmommy, this is exactly what happened to me this month! After trying for about 9 months we finally got a BFP and had 4 attempts as well. Now I am terrified that it ruined my sway! At that point we just wanted to get pregnant but now I worry that we will end up with another boy. I hope that having more than one attempt didn't ruin our sway! [emoji16][emoji120][emoji178] Congrats on your BFP!!!

We actually had better results with 4 attempts than three. I think this is because when people are having trouble conceiving, this may indicate they are possibly more "set" for pink and actually need more attempts in order to get pregnant. I am so excited for you JM!!!

Oh ok nice! We can be due date buddies :) I'm due April 18th... I've been feeling pretty good for the most part. Just a little queasy in the mornings but nothing too bad. How have you been feeling?

I have felt great! I will be 8 weeks tomorrow and so far just occasional nausea but absolutely no other symptoms. If I hadn't been able to do a quick sono at work and seen a baby I wouldn't have believed I was pregnant! Will you find out the gender?

Lissa, I have been following some of your posts (I do a lot of looking and not a lot of posting lol) and I think you still have a great shot at a girl!!! Once I got to thinking about it I am not entirely sure that I had 4 attempts either. According to my temps I ovulated on day 14, which would give me O-4, O-1, O day, and O+1. I'm not sure if I should count the O+1 since the chances at that point are not good. If not, then I only had 3 attempts. If I ovulated on day 15 then O-4 wouldn't count either which would still give me only 3 attempts. So I'm prob actually in the same boat as you.

Please understand this does not mean that 4 is "better" than 3. How would sperm "know" that there was 4 rounds instead of 3?? I am mentioning this to make someone feel good about their sway, not to make someone else feel worse about theirs.
All we know in the here and now, is that fewer attempts seems better. 1 is better than 2, 2 is better than 3. You already knew that. Then, there is a small reversal when it comes to 4. I think it's kinda silly to assume that "oh, therefore that means 4 is somehow magically delicious" and look instead at other explanations why, such as that many people who have 4 attempts probably have some of them before the fertile window opened, or maybe they'd been swaying a long time so just wanted to get pregnant, or maybe they were on Clomid, or whatever. The point is simply that people do still get girls with 4 attempts and so no one needs to beat themselves up over it.

:agree: exactly this x 1,000,000
A lot of people who have "four" attempts have O-5, O-4, or an O+12 that probably doesn't count. I think that the trend is just so undeniable with the 1 vs. 3 attempts that we can't ignore that, but at the same time this does not mean then that anyone who had 3 or 4 attempts is therefore doomed.

Hi Atomic
Just wondering, is it thought then that, if one conceives fairly quickly, (and one attempt) that they/we are more "set" for blue?

I wasn't saying you were trying to make me feel bad about my sway... :worry:
No one could make me feel bad about it. Only me.
As always, thanks for clarifying.

There is a trend this direction (and I can go into why I believe that if you'd like) but it's by no means a magic bullet at all with an equal amount of time in our stats, to successful sways, and opposites for pink swayers. For blue swayers, this is not currently being tracked to my satisfaction due to too few people but I see a definite trend that the gals who aren't getting pregnant inexplicably for months are having overwhelmingly opposites.

I know, but I don't want you making yourself feel bad on behalf of a comment that I made that I didn't explain good enough. :)
