okay, why so close to my attempt are thinsg failing me? ever since last week ive started getting daily diarrhea. sometimes its complete water and sometimes its (TMI) cow pies/mush/oatmeal-like SORRY!!!! at least once a day ill get a normal movement solid but soft.
i realize im eating a LOT of fiber esply in the fruits and vegies. everyday i eat lettuce, tomatoes, 10 dried apricots, 1/2 cup raisins, 1 potato, 2 bananas, pineapple juice. i THOUGHT it may have been teh acv i was drinking but im still getting diarrhea gas rumblings after i eat food (and i stopped acv temporarily). i figured probably its the raisins and apricots (since they have the most fiber), and i am cutting that out temporarily to see, but i havent had any in 12 hrs and still got stomach pains (like it was having a hard time digesting something) and mushydiarrhea. i attempt on oct 13 and im SOO worried that all these loose motions (esply the watery ones) will KILL my sodium and potassium. what else am i supposed to eat if i cant eat this stuff!!!!!

if i had to do it again, id start the diet 2 montsh prior instead of 3..my body cant handle this diet for this long it seems! i was fine a month ago.,..i was farting like a pig but at least my crap was solid.
sorry. im so lady-like i know. any advice?????

or maybe its the lemon water (i use bottled..and at first it gave me diarrhea but was fine later on). its like my body is rejecting ro changing or has had enough of the stuff im eating., dh thinks its the meat.

also isnt too much fiber bad for T??

help?

Hey gizmo, I have soft poop too. I don't think it is a big deal. Watery diahrea might be, though? It seems weird that it would be the diet, since you have been eating a lot of that stuff all along... Oh, did you eat any of those poison cantaloupe? You might have listeriosis!

That doesn't sound good at all :(

I'd definately cut back on the fibre it may be too much!!

I agree with TTC5, unfortunately, this sounds bad. I think your priority now is to fix your stomach kwim, bcos you're losing minerals this way.

I would go on a diet for a few days until my stools are back to normal : toast, crackers, salty sticks and 1-2 bananas daily and that's it. Also cooked carrots without oil or any spices. Limit your fluid intake, I would drink only black tea or some other tea (green lol!).
Maybe some good probiotic capsules for few days to restore your intestinal flora. Probiotics sway pink but Imho diarrhea sways pink much more. I hope you'll feel better in a couple of days! :luck:

no listeriosis hobber i thought that too. i havent had any cantaloup at all. and besides i looked up the symptoms and one main symptom is fever which i dont have. just indigestion and gas and CRAMPS. but right (this am) im starting to feel better we'll see how it goes thru out the day thanks everyone. but what the hell could it be???

I don't know what could be bothering you, but I don't see how it could be the diet, since you have been on it so long. It seems like if it was the diet, it would have bothered you right from the start, not two months in.

Have you looked into allergies? Maybe you are having a reaction to a food in particular? Is there something on the diet that you eat that you never used to eat until recently?

I think you're still fine for your attempt. The kind of diarrhea that messes up your electrolytes is the kind where you can't eat things to replenish yourself at the same time. The first thing I'd do is buy some Gatorade and/or coconut water and have some after every loose stool (the Gatorade G2 natural also has Stevia in it :agree:)

You can try cutting back on some of the higher fiber stuff and see if it helps and you can try Immodium (it's fine for a blue sway and it really works) I have found that bananas are one of the worst for yucky stools with kids, even though they don't have a lot of fiber in them - there are other chemicals in fruits that can make your poos go bad - the fiber may not have anything to do with it. A lot of places recommend bananas but I really think they make things worse. You can also try blueberries, they actually do seem to help.

My suspicion would be a mild stomach bug - sometimes when kids are sick, the illness that adults get is a different form so it could even be that you caught what your daughters had only it went into your tummy rather than being a cold.

Allergies/food sensitivity are another possibility and yet another is that it's from the COT drink and/or BSD and high sodium - your body may just have had enough of high levels of pot/sodium and is trying to get rid of it any way that it can.

there is nothing on my diet thatis new, except beef jerky (i used to eat beef sticks). however, the cramping/diarrhea was much later after i started that and i have eaten the beef jerky and not had any probelms within 12 hrs. i THOUGHT it was acv so i cut that out. i havent done COT yet and only 3 bsd on fri and 2 saturday, none today. the probelms were before i started bsd.

i also think that it is food poisoning. i read online it can last 7-10days. anytime i had it, i d throw up and its be over within 24hrs. never had it this long. still cant imagine what it could have been..a subway salad? just never know i guess. or i also thought of my girls colds (even tho they are very gone now) may have turned into this stomach thing. so i agree with you tehre atomic. i have been extra thirsty lately (could also be weather changing, drier weatehr). so i will get that gatorade you rec'd.

i cant think of any food i may have created sensitivity to. its the same stuff everyday!!! or rotated thru out the week.

im bummed about cutting out the apricots and raisins. together they were giving me 1500mg of potassium/day. there arent that many foods that give you that amount for the little serving they require. and im bummed (a little less) on the acv. i hope to get back on track soon this week for my attempt!
sucks.
thanksfor your help guys.

No, I don't think it killed your sway! Keep taking your supps and eating well and you should be fine!!

i couldnt find the G2 natural at my stores, so i just went with gatorade performance, with the highest potassium. will the sugar (sucrose and dextrose) in it be bad for my sway. i know dextrose is what stevia is made from. now i am down to about 1-2 episodes a day. i mean i have NO idea what it is except that my body is DONE with this diet (high potassium/sodium/calories), etc. i have had issues like this before where id go thru periods of time not caring about what i ate and then gain all this non health weight then suddenly my body breaks down and i get sick in the stomach and then i start dieting and feel better.
i cut down the amount of rasisins and apricots (those are the highest fiber things im eating). i have no more of that horrible cramping (thank god), so whatever that was (probably stomach bug like you said) passed. but still have some rumbling and diarrhea. im going o try immodium today. its worked wonders for me in the past but i hope it doesnt hurt my sway. i just feel like anything unnatural will hurt it!

havings aid that i restarted BSD! but only like 4-5x/day (to make up for no acv). im not getting diarrrhea immediately after the bsd, or immediately after any meal or particular food in general. its random. so thats why its hard to distinguish what it is causing it!!!.

also i tried COT and man i dont know how you ppl drink that. i took one sip and said THATS IT. so not COT for me. i guess im not a seltzer water person.

im just really worried..all this crap last minute teh week of my attempt. everything was fine last month :-(

That kind of Gatorade is fine as long as you have it with some protein!

I don't think the Immodium sways either direction - the only concern would be that it could dry you up?!? IF that seems to happen, jsut stop taking it as O nears and do the Robitussin.

I answered you more in depth on your other thread.

I would stop the acv for sure! I'm not having it :)

Could it be stress? I have IBS, and when I am really stressed, worried, etc., I get the runs (not for days, though).

i just recently thought IBS. i did have it before yrs ago and yes iam stressed...so who knows what it is. anyway i took a dose of immodium a couple days ago and so far no diarrhea but now i am still getting cramping occasionally like 2-3 xs per day. never ending. maybe Gods tryingto tell me this isnt the month...i dont know..im still going fwd.

Honestly, the night we were supposed to have our attempt last cycle (it didn't end up happening anyway), I ended up getting stomach cramps and diahrea. I know it was because I was panicked about the whole thing. That very well could be what s happening to you, since you are getting closer to your attempt.

IBS sucks!

cramps are going away but diarrhea/softer poop comes and goes..i wonder if its from the wheat based cereal that i eat (weetabix). anyway, as long as the cramps go im ok, bc i hate being miserable. attempt is in 2 days!

atomic sagebrush
October 11th, 2011, 09:07 AM
If the cramps are gone but poo is still soft, that's ok and in fact may be good for your overall health. In countries where fiber intake is naturally high (they eat a lot of fresh fruits and veg and whole grains, like on the Blue diet) it is normal to have 5-6 BM a day and some research indicates that this prevents colon and rectal cancers.

thats good to know. i m starting to think its a combo of IBS/stress/anxiety and the increase in fiber. like my body has had enough of it. the daily oatmeal doesnt help. the last 2 days after my brkfst i get slight cramps and a very soft poop. and then i had diarrhea againg yesterday after my weetabix. its got to be fiber.

atomic sagebrush
October 16th, 2011, 10:09 AM
Oh shoot, I was hoping it was getting better. Stop the oatmeal or cut back, and focus on something else instead like meat or eggs for brekkie.

October 16th, 2011, 11:11 AM
i already eat meat AND eggs for breakfast!!! :-) i eat oatmeal to get carbs. or on wkends ill have bagels instead ofoatmeal. anyway..im in 2ww.. thx! as of now no more diarrhea but occasionally cramping now i think which may ALSO be due to not eating fast enough!! this last week before atte, mpt i went hard core with weight training so it could have been my body needed suddenly food faster than "normal." (normal meaning after being on the T/boy diet for 3 mos). i already have been eating about every 2 hrs.
