Hi,

I'm did read a lot about swaying. We will start TTC Girl. We have 2 lovely boys and would like to add a girl to the family. We are aged 40 (DH) and 34 (me).
I'm a real snacker so I do understand why we already have two boys  (one shettles opposite and one IG opposite). I just changed my eating habits by starting the LE diet (very hard). My BMI is already a bit low (BMI 18) so I decided to skip exercise and will eat 1800 - 2000 kcal a day. When eating less, I feel very bad.

Supplements: I use folic acid and DH licorice root. I drink 2-3 times a day peppermint tea (now every day but when TTC, until a few days before my O). With the boys, I drank lots of milk and did eat lots of yoghurt so I'm skipping milk and yoghurt. I eat only vegetarian
and skip breakfast. I eat twice a day and wait eating till I feel hunger pains.

We would do one attempt at positive OPK.

I would like to have some advice: do you think this is ok to increase the change of a baby girl?

Good luck! I swayed pink as well and am 8 weeks pregnant. Won't know for a while if my sway was succesful.

Most ladies on here are trying to cut out tea and add in coffee, three serving per day. Black if you cam manage it as with milk it counts as a snack and also alcohol daily.

You sway looks pretty strong to me. It is best to be on the diet 12+ weeks, it took me a while to conceive so I was on other longer than that. I had to loosen up my sway towards the end as cycles went wacky, but I have a dd already so hoping I can make another. Most pink swayers are vegetarian, good luck and pink dust!

I think you're doing exactly what I'd recommend! Good luck!

Thanks! What is the swaying succesrate for a girl based on a LE diet like this? Normally (without) sway it's somewhere around 45% chance for a girl After two boys. Right?

It goes up and down between 70-75% for dieting 12 weeks or more, and then both coffee and alcohol have had at times higher success more like 80% (although honestly I am not quite ready to "trust" that 80% yet!!)

New to the site as starting my sway this week (12 weeks until TTC ) - can you elaborate on the coffee/alcohol I think I have missed something! Thanks in advance. This site has been immensely helpful

Atomic, is it true that tea is not allowed?
I thought tea was ok to drink?

Thanks Atomic! And one more question; how important is the exercise factor in relation to the succesrate?

It seems to be pretty important and among our best sway tactics. :)

I need some advice; I'm struggling with my weight. I'm still losing weight (eating around 2.000 kcal while i normally eat around 2.500 kcal/day). What to do? Would you suggest adding up kcal till 2.200? I'm on the dieet for 6 weeks right now (I softly changed my eating habbits to the LE dieet). I would like to add the exercise element as well for 4 times a week 45 - 60 minutes (both boys were conceived while exercise once a week). Can I add more calories to my diet while sporting to keep a solid weight? I believe the combination of exercise and changed eating habits (I was a typical grazer) will sway for me :-) but I don't have any more weight to loose.

Thanks, BBGwish

Question - are you counting the calories in low carb vegetables in this total?? If you are, stop, because they are free and unlimited. This may free up some more REAL calories for you.

At any rate, if you have no more weight to lose, you need to eat more to stop the weight loss!!!! Yes yes up to 2200. There is no magic cal range, I have the calories as a guide. Some of us have fast metabolisms and may need to eat more to keep weight on. :)

No, I didn't.. Actually, I really don't eat so much low carb vegatables ;-). I eat a lot of pasta and rice which I do count.

Thanks for your advice Atomic! You're so helpfull! I decided to 'stop' the diet for now and make sure I gain weight. After that, I will start again with swaying with more calories (I keep in mind the calories as a 'guide' and will make sure that my weight is a kind of steady), counting the swaying weeks and I will start exercise after 6 week (so 6 weeks before first attempt). I do not want to relay on a sway in which I gained weight because this is my last chance...

I'd probably have you stay vegetarian just in case it helps!!! meat is not that good at putting weight on anyway.

Thanks for your advice! I'll do that. I don't miss meat at all :-). What about fish? Skip that as well till I'm pregnant?

Some people do. It's totally up to you. If you do choose to eat it, make sure it's no more than 2x a week because more than that may be harmful to your future baby.
