i was looking up acv bc anytime i drink it (4oz water with 2 tbspn acv) i ve been getting gassy and diarrhea. i found a couple website that said acv interferes with the absorption of potassium...i wonder if the amount suggested to drink (3x/day) will do that?
anyway i think i may stop acv bc of the stomach problems. it does say that it causes heartburn, indigestion, nausea, diarrhea...it also says it LOWERS blood sugar.

maybe i should dilute it more? or maybe my body just cant handle the bacteria in it..?

i just realized on the acv bottle it says 1-2 TEASPOONS of acv in 8oz of water whereas on IG it says 2 T (which i understood to be TABLESPOONS) with 4 oz of water. am i the only one who thought that?

I only drink 1 tsp with a little water maybe 2oz and drink some juice right after . And just twice a day.
I never use tbs I thought it said tsp on IG too. Oh and best to drink it right after you eat . Like lunch/dinner.

First of all, just a quick warning on the livestrong and ehow type websites - they do have some good info but they have a lot of crap on them...people write those articles and get paid for them, and they just copy the info from one article to another so if bad or exaggerated info gets in there, it gets reproduced in perpetuity.
The amounts of vinegar a person must consume is a HUGE amount for a LONG time to mess up their potassium - there was basically only one case of this ever occuring and it was someone who drank a lot of vinegar every day for 6 years. Whether you drink 2 T or 2 t, it is fine to take and is not going to disrupt your potassium (esp since you blue swayers are already getting so much potassium to begin with.) http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-816-APPLE%20CIDER%20VINEGAR.aspx?activeIngredientId=81 6&activeIngredientName=APPLE%20CIDER%20VINEGAR Plus ACV has potassium in it to begin with.
You may be right, anything like that with a lot of natural bacteria can upset your stomach. I used to make homemade yogurt and my son and I both got stomach infections when the healthy bacteria set up shop and overgrew in our digestive tract. We had heartburn and diarrhea just like you are describing.
ACV does lower blood sugar but that is only a concern for people who are on medication to lower their blood sugar levels to begin with (like diabetics). It is MUCH less effective than drugs are, and that's why doctors don't prescribe it instead of drugs. In a normal, healthy person eating a normal diet, let alone the HE Diet, your blood sugar will be perfectly fine drinking a little bit of ACV here and there.
