Do you do the diet for months prior to conceiving, just from AF to O, or just when you start conceiving? Trying to figure out when I should start the diet. Also, how do you feed your kids? I like to have beef for the kids and don't want them on this diet. It's too much for them, most likely.

For at least 6 weeks before ttc, and all through the cycle not just before ov

Oops missed the 2nd part of your post. My DH eats this along with me some nights but other nights my cooks his own.

Sometimes I cook some meat separate and add that to food he has. My ds only occasionally shares our meals... but if he was older I'd cook for the family and then prepare my own meal as well

You need to be on whatever diet you choose for at least 6 weeks prior to ttc longer if you can.The only issue is if you start the diet too soon it is easy to get burnt out and give up on the diet which is not what you want to do....diet is very if not the most important part of your sway. You will need to feed your children as you always have, the diets for them are too extreme but of course they can eat some of the things you do.

That is really up to you. The "mineral" diets say to be on them for 6 weeks minimum, but some people choose to be on them for 3 months which is the full life cycle of the egg. For my LE Diet, I like people to be on them for however long they feel comfortable with, although I do like them to give up meat and start eating lower fat as far in advance as they can because testosterone levels take some time to drop You don't have to start skipping breakfast or losing weight too far in advance though because you'll lose too much weight that way.

Blood sugar levels and pH can drop from dieting in only a week or two.

When I was dieting, I made stuff for my kids separately - mostly things that I don't like so I wasn't tempted!! ;)
