This is just an FYI to any pregnant mamas or TTC ladies that are Rh- w/ an Rh+ DH/SO.
I am Rh- and DH is Rh+ so every pregnancy I've had to get Rhogam on the chance baby is Rh+. I was recently informed by my midwife that there's a new non-invasive blood test from Sequenom (the makers of MaterniT21) called SensiGene that can tell you baby's Rh factor so you may not even need Rhogam! The test is around 99% accurate and can also tell you baby's gender! Insurance may or may not cover it (mine did not) so out-of-pocket I paid $400. We found out our baby is Rh- (yay!) and confirmed he is indeed a boy. I don't know if most doctors/midwives know about this test so if it's not offered to you, it may be worth asking about. :)
