Can I have some advice please Atomic or anyone else.. And apologies firstly as I cannot remember how to start a new thread!! So, since my initial post in April Ive had four attempts and 1 chemical. I went to see a fertility consultant who checked my AMH egg reserve (normal range at 11) and checked 21 day progesterone (normal range at 51.3). He is happy that I am ovulating on my own. he has however given me a prescription for clomid and said he would still be happy for me to take a low dose of it. My question therefore is, do we currently think clomid still sways? I have relaxed the LE diet quite a bit. In April I lost as much weight as I had room for, and stuck to the diet religiously for 3 months. Since then ive been off and on it, although been vegetarian and exercised for 10 months, and have tried to keep a broad principle of the diet. However, I am on day 3 of cycle today so by the time I ovulate I will only have strictly done the diet again for a few weeks. Is clomid likely to sway in these circumstances or do I need to have done the diet for longer? Also, given I ovulate on my own I think clomid would increase changes of multiples /number of eggs so unless we think it would sway I would leave it. Finally, my consultant said that he only advises to take on day 2-6 as it doesn't work any later.. I have read lots that earlier produces more eggs and 5-9 less but better quality - do we know if this is the case? I will probably have to start taking today /tomorrow if I am going to. Thank you all!

Clomid still appears to sway. I'm not sure why he says it doesn't work later than 2-6 as the most popular time is 3-7 on here and I have conceived 2 times with 5-9 and this pregnancy was 4-8.
Diet is important if you can do it. My first boy is a clomid baby but it wasn't enough to sway as my lifestyle was blue friendly.
This baby was convinced after 2 cycles of clomid plus I had other sway factors that helped although I wasn't doing a great job with the diet I was mostly good at avoiding snacking.
I'm not sure how true the more eggs vs better quality thing is. I would suggest taking 50mg cd 3-7 as this is the popular starting dose/timing on her and has had hood success. I was going to try 3-7 for my next cycle but got a surprise bfp (always test for pregnancy before starting clomid, even if you have a period)
Good luck!!

Yes yes yes I think Clomid is among the best pink sway tactics.
Even if you've relaxed on diet a bit, you've been at it so long that I think you should go ahead and TTC!
I also think that Clomid earlier rather than later is better odds of conception. (I generally have people take it CD 3-7, not that many are told to take it CD 2-6 but some people are.)
Good luck!!

Thank you so much. I am going to go for it!🙈 And start it tonight which will be 72 hours since period started. Thanks for helping me come to a decision.

Thank you purple. Congratulations on your bfp; well done! Is 3-7 popular on here for swaying purposes or for best conception? What other way tactics were you doing? Thank you!

I recommend 3-7 because I feel that when people were taking it from 5-9 (which is supposed to prevent twinning) we had both relatively equal numbers of twins, but also worse odds of conception than when it was taken 3-7.

Great, thank you atomic. Should I also take myo-inositol and /or aspirin? I was taking a few weeks ago for a couple of weeks as I read good for girl sway. I was also taking q10. Have dropped them and currently only doing folate, psyillium husk, vegetarian, coffee, some spearmint and raspberry leaf tea (good or bad??), exercise, LE /FGD mix (with some weeks off). Am I missing anything vital that have forgotten over the months??! Thanks again.

The only people who should take myo-inositol are those with moderate to severe PCOS. I do not recommend it for everyone (not everything in our stats is appropriate for everyone!!)
I am moving away from aspirin unless you are given it under a doctor's orders. It did not seem to help sways, it caused side effects and had more risks than we first realized, and may even CAUSE more miscarriages than it prevents.
Coq is fine, add that back if you like.
I would drop spearmint and RRLT if you go on Clomid. They may interact with it (small dietary amounts like 1-2 times a week is fine, more than that is medicinal and must be avoided)
