Hey ladies !
So I'm stuck on what to do .. to ttc boy it is advised to bd every 2-4 days in the non fertile period & once you get a positive opk you should bd more frequently and aim for 3 attempts in the fertile period . Results are also showing best for those who abstained 4 days prior to the fertile window bd'ing .. so it def requires some knowledge on your cycle patterns that's for sure ! I did the best I could but am currently stuck on what to do .. dh and I have bd'd every 3 days since af.. cd 6, 9, & today (12).. after today we were gonna abstain until pos opk which I estimated to be about another 4 days , perfect ! I typically O cd14 but am sick . I was sick last month too and it delayed O by 5 days so I figured this month would be the same . Nope . This morning I had creamy cm and negative opk as expected . Tonight it's heavy stretchy ewcm and positive opk.. which is fine ! I'm just confused .. did our bd from this morning count as one of our attempts in the fertile window ? Is it safe to say we abstained for 3 days prior to our attempts ? Or was this morning considered outside the fertile window and therefore we abstained 0-1 days (basically meaning we didn't abstain lol) since we will likely be aiming for a 2-3 more attempts in the next 48 hours . 2 if this morning counted . 3 if it didn't . & when should we aim for the next attempts ? Tonight ? The morning ? Tomorrow night ? I usually have a couple days of ewcm before o so I would imagine I am going to O on Sunday (cd 14)
I'm sorry for the long post ! But so appreciative for any help !

Do not worry about 4 days of abstaining. That has never been proven at all and I can assure you I have NEVER done that with the exception of the month I got my DAUGHTER!!

There is absolutely, completely, and totally, no way you can predict 4 days before ovulation to have an abstain precisely that amount. It is stress added to something kinda nervewracking anyway.

I personally think you guys may want to skip this month because of the illness, but now I realize teh issue is you haave already had an attempt (yes, that was in the fertile window) and so you are now kind of stuck, you actually HAVE to continue now because otherwise yo'll be sticking it with one attempt!! So BD NOW (tonight) then again tomorrow morning if possible, then again the following night and then every other day if you are not certain you have ovulated already.

Thank you atomic !
The good news is I am feeling a lot better ! Nose is still pretty stuffy but it was really just a 24 hour thing . Since O wasn't delayed and fertility signs such as ewcm are very prominent , I'm hoping my body wasn't effected by the cold too bad . & actually my opk yesterday was negative . Tonight was my true positive now that I've compared them . I'm glad abstinence isn't too big of a deal because that does add more complication to the matter . We ended up bd'ing again last night since I thought it was my positive opk . Oops . But I did have ewcm if that helps . So that's twice yesterday . then we will once tonight . Do you recommend tmw morning or night or at all?
I feel bad with all of my rambling . But I appreciate you more than you know ! :)

The more BD the better if he can keep it up. :) There is no such thing as too many attempts in fertile window for TTC a boy.
