I was wondering if the Harmony gender bloodwork was incorrect for anyone or anyone heard of bloodwork say one gender, and ultrasound confirm otherwise?

The harmony test is more accurate then ultrasounds I believe. If they differed I would take the accuracy of bloods over ultrasound.

My 14 weeks bloodwork confirmed boy, waiting to have anatomy scan. Was soooo praying this last baby to be the little girl I always wanted since I had my first born son 14yrs ago.

Am in a similar position, though have a dd. Am expecting my fourth child and hoped was a girl but harmony confirmed boy. I think it is highly unlikely that or is wrong but I do think there have been a few cases. The harmony test is not diagnostic and they say on there own website that results can be inaccurate if it is a case a vanishing twin. So if someone was pregnant with male and female twin and the male did not survive, it's dna would still be in the mothers blood ****** and if the find x chromosome at all they say boy. I think that is very rare. I have read one case on the Internet and the lady was told twice by harmony that it was a girl but she had a boy but just read her story, not sure how true it was.
I was desperate to find any information to say it was wrong but found little. What percentage foetal dna did they say they found? , mine was pretty high nearly 12%, so can be pretty sure of the result. The other thing I have read was that if a woman has ever had a son, the male dna stays in her blood ****** and maybe the harmony picks that up, but others have absolutely rubbished that, I think it was my in vain clutches at straws hope. Good luck but I really truly believe that the harmony test is accurate. Did you see something on your ultrasound that made you think girl? I had a scan at 13 weeks 5 days and saw nothing between the legs at all, which added greatly to my gd when I found out the result x

Thanks so much I also read all the things also, I had a miscarriage November last year and this past June. I got pregnant 2 months later, i was also thinking if it was a boy, maybe I still had the Y chromosome in my system still. Plus having 2 boys already. Going for my 20 weeks scan in a few weeks, I pray the blood gender is wrong, but I know most likely its not. At my last week OB appt I asked the Doctor about that test, He said its 100% accurate. I felt crushed, Maybe one day God will bless me with the little girl I alway wanted, I believe and trust.

Unfortunately for us I think the harmony is the one indicator that you can be sure of the results, scans, nub analysis, skull theory, lots of examples when they have been inaccurate but not the harmony. Congratulations on your boy and I hope you get a dd in the future. Keep us posted! X

The Harmony type blood tests are highly accurate and they are calibrated to detect only a high enough concentration that it has to come from a current pregnancy and not a previous one or a loss.

I'm sorry you didn't hear pink. I know it hurts so much. (((hugs))))
