I am looking into ivf with pgd to conceive a girl. I have two beautiful boys already. I am wondering if anyone on here has gone through the process and could give me some info. I am specifically wondering about any Edmonton clinics that can help with the process on this end ( monitoring, tests etc). The U.S. Clinics I have contacted said they didn't have any contacts of clinics that would cooperate with them where I live. Thanks !

Hi Blueblues,

I am from Canada as well and am looking into IVF for a boy. I have 2 daughters. What I did is research fertility clinics in my area and called them asking if they offer satellite monitoring. So far in my area a few clinics offer this service for a cost around $2000. I am from the Toronto area so there's a lot more options here in terms of Clinics. I would definitely start by calling some local clinics as some do not offer this service. Your best bet is to look for a clinic yourself rather than relying on the US clinic for contacts.

Hi anne.d,

We live close to Toronto Canada. My husband and I are looking into IVF with PGD for a boy). We have 3 daughters. We saw your post here so thought to ask for you suggestion as you are looking for a boy as well using IVF technique

We were hoping to get some assistance with any of the following;
(1). Clinic suggestions (clinics with high success rates)?
(2). What can we expect for costs?
(3). Both husband and I have never had a problem conceiving (if this matters at all)

Thank you in advance for the assistance.

Maria

BB - I know it's pretty far but there is a clinic in Spokane that had pretty good results. I know that's not quite what you were hoping for but it is an overlooked option since its results were up there with the larger cities (at least as of last year, anyway).
