My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant now for 6 months. This is new to me because I usually have a really easy time getting pregnant, my problem is usually trying to keep the pregnancy. Anyway, the past 2 or so months I've noticed I can hardly feel my ovulation. Usually my pain is bad and lasts a few hours. The past 2 months I can hardly even tell. It wouldn't really bug me but I've also noticed that my LP is only 10-11 days long now. My temps also drop 2 days before this. I called my dr and she won't prescribe any progesterone. :( in the beginning of TTC I did take clomid (I do have some left. They were from a friend). I took it for 2 months and everything was normal but I stopped after 2 months because I wasn't sure if I wasn't getting pregnant because of my lining. I read clomid can make my lining thin. I think some months I've been having a chemical. My lines are so light and then AF comes. I'm on cd2. Do I take clomid again to help my LP or do I worry about my lining? I've heard of vitex too. Would that be something to take? How to I take it? Thank you for any help!!

I would take the Clomid.
It is VERY unusual to have poor lining on 50 mg Clomid after 1-2 months.
Can you tell me what else you're doing?
Why do you think you're having chemicals?? You're getting pos pregnancy tests?? How many have you had?
DO NOT under any circumstances take vitex in this scenario. that would be throwing gas on a fire.
You do not need progesterone anyway. It's been studied and found that it does nothing to help anyone get or stay pregnant. 10-11 day LP is enough to conceive anyway.
Being able to feel ovulation does not mean anything. This can change over time.

Thank you for getting back to me. I will start the clomid again tomorrow (day 3). I guess I just figured I would have gotten pregnant right off like usual and at least stayed pregnant. I thought maybe getting off the IUD in June was maybe why it was thin (started the 2 months of clomid in July).
I've had 3 times with very faint pink lines. The last one being this month. Then my period comes and the lines never get dark at all. They're all just barely positive. In the past, I have had 3 miscarriages and 1 ectopic.
I'm also glad you said not to take vitex. Is that because I will take the clomid?
I've taken progesterone in the past. They gave it to me when I was pregnant with my last baby. He's now 18 months. From temping, my temps seem to go down at 9dpo. Maybe I'm just worrying too much.
I haven't taken anything else. DH is 38 and has high BP so I'm scared to have him take anything. I'm 32. We will be going on to month 7 now.

Just looked at my pills(clomid). I was wrong. I took them for 3 months, not 2. I have enough for 2 more cycles left...

Were you doing anything else to sway, though??
Do you think those could be ghost lines?? sometimes the cheap ones make a very faint line but it isn't a positive test.
RE vitex, not only due to the Clomid, but because anyone who's having trouble conceiving needs to drop vitex unless they have PCOS
I know some doctors do use it but studies indicate it's only a placebo.
I want you to be eating dairy full fat every day at least one serving, and 4-6 eggs a week, and a serving of salmon if you like it, red meat if you don't. No fiber if you were taking that.
DH needs to be releasing on his own or with you, with a condom, every 2-4 days starting right away.

Nothing else to sway at this point. I was doing a diet (Atkins and dropped 20 lbs) but stopped that. I could lose the weight though, so I plan on starting that now again. Is there anything else you think I should do?
The first month we tried bd'ing once in my fertile time. The next month we tried twice. The last few have been 3-4 days in a row. Should we just stick to every 2 days? I usually ovulate on day 15 with clomid.
If we don't get pregnant with this cycle of clomid, should I try again next month for the last remaining month? I will definitely start with the red meat, dairy, and eggs. Thank you!
They could be ghost lines but i also had a positive (different month) on some First Response curved. Although I have read that they have false positives on them.

Do you ever do OPK?? I would have you BD every 4 days and then have another attempt at positive OPK.
OR, if you're just wanting to get pregnant then I'd have you go to SMEP Sperm Meets Egg Plan (http://www.pregnancyloss.info/sperm_meets_egg_plan.htm)

We always use the clear blue smiley OPK (along with temping). I usually (most of the time) ovulate the day after the solid smile. We would love a girl, but after a while of not conceiving, I tried so many different days of bd'ing and nothing helped.
Thank you for all of your help. I really do appreciate it!

Is there anything else you think I should do to help conceive a girl?

The best thing you can do is the clomid. I would do the Clomid and SMEP to hopefully boost odds of conception now.

9dpo and my temp has dropped way down. It's been dropping since 7dpo. I'm guessing it will be below coverline tomorrow with the start of AF. :( here's to one more month of clomid. I don't have my hopes up at all. :( I know you had said 10-11 day LP was okay. What about 9? I'm just seriously starting to wonder about progesterone, but, I don't even know how to get it because they won't help me until July.

It is normal for there to be a big temp dip at around 7 DPO. This is because your body releases a surge of estrogen to help sustain uterine lining for a few more days and allow a baby to implant.
9 days is short, but still possible. But it's not over yet. A temp dip does not necessarily mean AF is coming. maybe, maybe not. And even if it is 9 days this month that does not mean it will stay there. Many people have one short LP now and then.
Progesterone has not been shown in numerous studies to help anyone get or stay pregnant. A healthy pregnancy signals your body to make progesterone to sustain itself. If prog drops, the pregnancy was probably not viable, unfortunately. So please do not feel panicked that you can't get it, it is really just a placebo anyway.
If you are not doing this already, please add in a serving of full fat dairy a day, 4-6 eggs a week, and 1 serv. of salmon if you like it and red meat if you don't. This will give your body the raw materials it needs to make progesterone and estrogen (because short LP can mean low estrogen, as well). And stop fiber if you were taking it.
