Hi, So we are having a girl!!! (We currently have a 1 year old girl!). However, I almost regret getting the 3d ultrasound because I am overanalyzing what I see. Does anyone have experience with cleft lip or palate?? The nose area looks funny to me. I know this is not the right place to post but I'm pretty upset. I also realize there is so much fluid and things arent what they seem. Can anyone offer insight? PS 15 week ultrasound. TY

Sorry for the sideways pic. The area i'm looking at is the nose which is the 3 white dots on the left of photo.

The ultrasound techs are experts at stuff like this. If there was something wrong they would see it and consult a doctor about that!!

Ultrasounds make babies look really weird! I rem. my sister's ultrasound her baby looked like the queen from Aliens!!

I'm not seeing any signs of a cleft lip/palate here. This is one of the first things techs look for, so I'm sure the baby is fine.

If there was something wrong that could be seen I am sure the tech would have said something. I think a lot of ultrasound pics looks weird and could make us all think there is something wrong with our babies. My niece had a cleft palate (not lip) and they didn't see anything on the ultrasound and didn't find it till 2 days after birth (she had absolutely no external signs, just no roof in her mouth so she couldn't feed).
