I have two of the same gender already don't want to give away what they are yet as sometimes I feel that changes what people may guess. I'm soooo desperate for the opposite and driving myself crazy. The last imagine was at 7 weeks. The first 3 12+6 thank you

Yes I am I've got two boys already. I really have felt this was my girl but as soon as I seen these scan pics I have doubted it. I have heard girls can appear stacked too?! This wasn't a planned pregnancy and been so different from my first two. are there any particular members that are experts?! I guess I should just prepare myself for a boy

Hang in there, sweetie. I would do as Claire suggested and prepare to hear boy. My third pregnancy was very different from my other two as well. I haven't seen a girl nub appear to be stacked. Girl nubs are usually long and forked but they are flat.

I'm not sure if by "expert" you mean an ultrasound tech, but Claire and myself and several others on here have been guessing for 5+ years on this site and myself (and likely others) were on another site for a couple years before this one was around. I don't usually throw out a guess unless the scan pics make me lean one way or another. I truly hope we are proven wrong and that this is your girl. :HH:
Will you find out the gender before birth?
Kate7
January 22nd, 2017, 02:19 AM
Im really not sure. I feel I need to be prepared. Ok thanks so much for taking your time to get back to me. I guess atleast now I won't go into my 20 week scan thinking it's a girl and being totally shocked. How sure are you ladies this is a boy?! I don't really get the whole stacked thing. literelly every gender prediction test says girl and my mum is so sure it's a girl and never gets it wrong. But I guess this time she has.x

I afraid I'd also guess boy from the 3rd image.
It's not over until you've had proper gender confirmation though (it is after all a theory) but as the others have said, I'd prepare yourself for hearing boy. My second pregnancy was very different from my first and 3rd but it was a boy nonetheless, although this one has been very different again and confirmed girl. I hope you get your girl x

Ok thank you. Congrats on your girl. I don't think we're be having more as this one was very much not planned. I know it's only a theory but how often do you lot all guess one gender and it's wrong?!?! X

On this site it's pretty rare but can happen, depends how good the scan photo is and position of Bub. I hope it's your little girl, keep us updated, but I would prepare to hear boy. Are you having any more scans before the 20 week scan?

The baby was being very naughty and kept laying so it was facing towards me. Would love to see your scan that turned out a girl bigpinkwish. I don't know I'd like a early gender scan but at the same time I don't think I want to hear.

When I was pregnant with my 3rd, "everyone" was sure it was a girl and so surprised when it turned out to be a boy. I was really sick with that pregnancy, so I was hoping it might be a girl. I was devastated to hear it was a boy. It took me a long time to climb out of my black pit of despair during that pregnancy. He is now 3 years old and he is such a wonderful child, so I can't imagine ever feeling that way about him. Other people's expectations are not helpful when it comes to gender. Try to let people know that people are guessing boy on your scan, so that they shut up about the girl thing. No point in disappointing absolutely everyone else when you yourself also are disappointed. I pretended that I only wanted boys, so that people didn't know how devastated I was. I didn't want any pity, and no negative comments from people. So if you seem happy, they will hopefully shut up with their comments and expectations.

Yes I have been trying to do this. Mum isn't helping as she keeps saying it's defo a girl. I agree other people make it worse. Such a horrible feeling. I feel like this is the only last chance of imaging I'm having a girl so can't help keep thinking all these guesses are going to be wrong. But I know deep down your all right x

I would've guessed girl in your pic Bigpinkwish, simply for the lack of seeing defined stacking. Girl parts can often be swollen around this gestation giving a bulbous appearance like a smooshed hamburger.

I'm not seeing a complete nub or clear picture in any of your pics, but again of the little that is showing I would lean boy, but I would give my odds of certainty on that at about 51/49% so a random guess really:) When was the pic taken, how far are you now??

I know it only take one person to say there not that sure it's a boy and possibly a girl then I'm literally thinking yey it's a girl again what id really like which I know can't happen until a scan is for someone to just tell me 99.5% what it is. Until then I can't let go of it being a girl and I wish I could coz I don't want to get my hopes up. Would be easier if everyone just said that's defo a boy. Well my hubby doesn't want a early scan but I'm trying to convince him. X

I agree with the others that said boy nub. But nubs can be wrong so thee is always hope, but this from the lady that held out hope that the harmony test was wrong when it said boy and was further disappointed at 20 weeks scan when it was very obviously boy, now that was clutching at straws! Good luck and I hope you hear girl x

Can you book in for an early gender scan, in Australia we can get them from 16 weeks, not sure where you are but your going to go crazy waiting another month. Might be good peace of mind to just know.

Okay so.. I'm gonna give my opinion with the promise from you that if I'm wrong my comment won't be what makes you feel even worse if you hear the opposite.. you really need to prepare to hear boy just that in case BUT I am not sold on the boy nub. I see where others maybe see stacking and I do think these guessers are right most of the time.. but in other pictures your baby's nub is so FLAT in comparison to spine which is meant to be girl...I think because your baby is wiggly and turning all sorts of ways it makes it hard to tell what's stacking what's leg and what's shadow. Hell in one picture I think the stacking is chord between babies leg giving the illusion of stacking and it's really tricky so I can't full on lean one way or another but I do think you have a good shot at being surprised and hearing girl because of all of these reasons. 3 of my 4 daughters had boy nubs at 11.5 weeks- 12 weeks. The were short and appeared to stack in some shots.. I am fairly certain every single person guessed boy on DD3 and DD2.
If you can't wait and you need more time to bond with a third son then you should get an early elective scan at 16 weeks even if your husband doesn't want to know or go. Do it for you. Do your best to prepare to hear boy just in case.
Good luck and please update us when you know.. my fingers are crossed for you :)

No afraid not. I told my husband I'd booked this scan and it caused a big argument. He doesn't really want to find out as he thinks I will end up being miserable the rest of pregnancy if it's another boy like everyone has guessed. He always said he doesn't want to know as he too doesn't want to feel disappointed. Wish I hadn't even said now and just gone alone. He doesn't even want to find out at the 20 wks scan. But there is no way I can wait much longer it's driving me mad. I wish I just knew and even though I think your all right until it's set in stone I feel my head is spinning in circles.

Similar experience happened with my DS3. I left the scan thinking it was a girl because I saw a fork, even though no one ever said it was a girl. But as soon as I walked outside with my pics I clearly saw the arrow shape pointing up. It felt amazing for those first couple of minutes. I took several weeks to sink in. I'm holding DS3 right now and all I can say is I'm so in love!!! I love having 3 boys. I sometimes even wish for a fourth boy, or consider keeping my 3 boys and have no more in order to not change the all-boy dynamic in our home. It's truly special. I'm still undecided yet and I never thought I'd feel this way, but I adore my three boys. You'll get there too! Just hang in there. You're not alone!
