Hiya all, I'm back again after having DS1. We said we weren't going to have any more, especially since DS is now being assessed for autism but as time is going on, DH and I are throwing around the idea of *maybe* trying for another. I wasn't going to do a huge sway (too stressful!), but DH doesn't want me to sway at all. He's worried for my and baby's health. Sooo... what to do? I'm already exercising on the elliptical daily so not too worried about that. Diet? I'm not so sure how to sway but do it so it doesn't look out of place. Ideas? TIA

Hi there !

Maybe try go veggie and skip breakfast? Keep with exercise and have one attempt in your fertile window x

Hiya, thanks for your input. I used to skip breakfast but am on medication so have to eat (usually jam on white toast). Going veggie completely will raise an eyebrow - that's my problem entirely. I can have rice, iceberg lettuce, cucumber, etc as normal but the lack of meat may cause issues! I wish there was a good workaround.

Edit:. I'm also 'old' and need to recheck my medication stash to what's safe to use while TTC.

Can you just go vegetarian?? Even just part time may help. What I'd do is when you're on your own, eat vegetarian, and when around others, eat normally. It's a good compromise and will still sway pink.

Also, if you can swing it, one of the most effective things we've done is have one attempt in the fertile window so if you can swing that, it may help.

I'm sorry to hear of your little one, I hope everything turns out ok.

Also, I have a much healthier version of LE Diet called atomic fertility diet. It has been very effective for swaying and in case you need a little extra help with egg quality http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/9052-swaying-under-special-circumstances-part-3-pcos.html (5 from the top) I would actually much prefer you on this instead of the white toast, iceberg lettuce type diet because I think you may have trouble conceiving on that. :)

Thanks, AS. Ran the 'going vegetarian' by DH today, maybe a bit of chicken every so often, he says it doesn't bother him. So far, so good! I also ran past him a while ago having to take supplements if we do TTC (put it down to "being old and being better for baby") which he was fine with.

what supps were you thinking?

The obvious folic acid 1200-1600mcg, as well as CoQ10 400-600mg, fibre with meals and will try to find iodised salt here, not readily found in the supermarkets. Should I take cinnamon - will be 40 this year and need to lose weight. I use a lot on my pancakes at the moment with no ill effects so was wondering if I should use a cinnamon supplement instead of adding to food, what do you think? Thanks again for your help x

All those should be fine, let yourself get used to the Coq10 before adding any more cinnamon than dietary as both will lower blood sugar and you may get lightheaded on it.
