Yesterday we had our anatomy scan at 19 weeks, our baby was being very stubborn and wouldn't uncross their legs most of the scan. The doctor believes she got the right picture to determine gender and said she is 97% sure. We had a gender reveal last night and are over the moon about the baby being a GIRL. I had a feeling it was a boy so i was in complete shock. But now that i keep looking at the picture i am very nervous it could actually be a boy and she was wrong. I don't want to start buying to much stuff if she is wrong. If anyone could please give me their thoughts it would be greatly appreciated!!!! 34691

Shy ones are often girls!

It looks girly to me. What you have to understand looking at a pic like this is that boys and girls are indistinguishable up until the 12-13 week mark - their genitals look identical. The exact same structure becomes the clitoris of a girl and the penis of a boy. So biologically those things can look very similar in ultrasounds but a doctor telling me 97% I'd be over the moon!

I can tell you that feelings don't predict gender!!! I've talked to so many women who were told one thing and just had a feeling it was wrong, but then the baby came out just what the ultrasound tech or doc told them. :)
