One attempt is cd 5 and 12 ok?

If we were to want one attempt in the fertile window, would the gap between cd 5 and 12 be enough? Wasn't planning on using opks and will be the first month off birth control so was going to just do every 7 days for the first month. Im sure Ive fallen pregnant (with twins!) from doing it 5 days before ovulation

If you are not using opks and just want to cover yourself, the advice is to dtd every 4 days. Every 7 is too big a gap to ensure you catch the egg.

Some people do like to start off with even longer than e4d. That is totally fine and cool with me if that's what you guys want to do. not gonna be stellar odds of conception but maybe you don't need that this first month.

Some people are ok with a lower chance of conception at first. I have occasionally had people start off with once a week sex and then narrow the gap after that.
