View Full Version : Swaying pink in June/July

Hello all! I just registered after stalking this site for a couple of months. I have 2 beautiful boys :bigboy: :bigboy: (1 & 2) and am a SAHM with them. My hubby and I are hoping for a girl :ballerina: this time and will start trying in June. I'm going to start my diet and vitamins now though, so that hopefully my body will be in full girl mode! I have (unknowingly) been living a full on boy sway for years lol! I may end up just doing a personalized plan to make sure I'm doing everything I can -- I really want a daughter lol. Anyway, I hope to make some other pink sway friends here and learn all I can!

Just realized I should probably put what I plan lol. And please feel open to giving feedback! I'm so new at this.
Diet - mostly low carb/low cal (1200-1300) at first and slowly lowering the amount of meat I take in. I have just stopped drinking pop. I will be drinking crystal light, some alcohol (any idea what's best for pink?), and a little coffee. I have about 40 lbs to lose over all and am hoping this will help with a girl sway additionally.
Vitamins- saw palmetto, b12, folic acid, and cinnamon. I'm debating on vitex and cal+mag, as I've read good and bad results with both. My cycles are only around 26 days long and I had low progesterone with both pregnancies, so I thought thw vitex may help that. Dh currently takes a one a day mens MV that he will not give up lol. I am also on Lexapro -- does anyone know if that sways?
Timing- dh is a truck driver, gone m-f, so timing is basically every Sat and Sun no matter where I'm at in my cycle. We have a beach trip June 9-12 that should line up with my o somewhat though!
Should I jump and dump? I'm not looking at douching though may use replens if its still recommended.
That's it, I think lol. Any advice or feedback is greatly appreciated!

Hi and welcome!
That is a VERY low cal intake. I'd have you check out this diet instead as since you do have a bit of weight to spare it may be a better fit for you. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/9052-swaying-under-special-circumstances-part-3-pcos.html
What kind of cinnamon and how much?
Why B12?
Lexapro sways pink but you'll need to have a plan in place with your doc about if, when and how to come off for pregnancy.
Vitex and SP have been underwhelming in terms of results. I do think they sway pink a little but they cause so much trouble making people's cycles go wacky I'm really no longer sure they're worth it for most people.
We have some people who use once a week BD as a kind of sway. One attempt has been a strong pink swayer for reasons we can only guess at, so I'd have you BD once unprotected (as many times as you want with protection)
My husband is a trucker too but he couldn't stand the long haul and gave it up for a local job. Your hubby is a trooper!
I'd not have you J and D with once a week BD.
I'd skip Replens, it has not gotten good odds of conception and has been neutral in the results - does not seem to be swaying pink or blue, just preventing pregnancy

Thank you so much atomic! I've not been back on here til now as hubby wanted a let's not talk about this til later break. I can be a little obsessive. I am taking your advice on the diet but was thinking about doing abstain for 7-10 then fr for 2-3 days thru o. Did I understand that correctly from the reading? I feel it would give us a better chance at conceiving quickly without allowing the sperm to rebuild. I've read more of your postings on the herbals and was thinking about cutting everything but maybe trying soy isoflavones as they can sway girl and twins (I think lol). This is our last chance at a baby d/t health reasons and I would love if we got 2 for 1 pregnancy and I could have one more fit into our forced timeline. I will be starting my cardio 6- 7 days a week soon I think as well and diet. Thank you again, you are wonderful!

Oh and i was originally looking at Saw Palmetto bc it can help lower testosterone, which from symptoms and personality I believe is higher. Avid cinnamon for insulin resistance as I am over weight by 30+. Think I should still do either of those?

Don't mix and match abstain + FR. It doesn't make healthy sperm because they'll still be damaged from the abstain (sperm are not made anew every day the way you're thinking of it, they develop for 72 days or so and abstain at any time can mean they kinda "back up" with more baddies than goodies). Pick one or the other (and FR needs to be 7-10 days before attempt).
You can't mix soy iso and SP. Pick one or the other, not both.
Cinnamon is great for anyone with 30 lbs or more to lose. Just be careful as it can make you super hungry and actually work so well it lowers your blood sugar to such extent it makes you woozy.

Ok we will probably do abstain with one attempt at o then and hopefully that will work quickly enough. I'll do the soy over the SP as well, as I'm hoping the diet and exercise will lower my testosterone enough. I will definitely watch the cinnamon! Thank you so much for your time and expertise!

Hello mommy2apples! Good luck to you as well, I started the diet on Tuesday this week (when I realized it was 10 weeks out from my possible O lol) and exercise on Wednesday I believe. The diet has been pretty manageable so far, I'm working on figuring out meals. I actually feel like I'm eating more than I should even though MyFitnessPal has my tally around 1500. The exercise, on the other hand, may kill me lol. I'm getting 45 minutes a day so far and can't quite seem to make it to 60. I'm hoping I'll get it over the next couple weeks as I think moderate exercise sways blue. I'm not totally sure on the difference on moderate/intense either though lol! I hope we both get our little girls! Keep me updated on your progress for sure :)

Anyone with a bit of weight to spare and possible blood sugar issues NEEDS to do exercise even if you can't get up to the 60 6-7 recommendation. the benefits to blood sugar control and weight loss are so huge they outweigh any possible risks
You're not supposed to be suffering and miserable on LE Diet. remember, most people who get girls are just going about their day, not even realizing they're eating lower calories than another person. It seems like a normal level of food intake because it IS a normal level of food intake. It's just the lower end of normal. It's not a starvation diet, it's just the lower end of a healthy pre-pregnancy food intake as defined by the World Health Organization and reproductive endocrinologists.

I've really been enjoying the meals so far, I just make my family the alternate version they will enjoy as well when I make dinner at night. The exercise hasn't been bad either. Been managing an hour every night rather it be walking or an exercise video.

Great, then I will keep my 45 everyday and work toward 60-70. No, the diet has really been pretty easy for me though I have had a cheat day for my hubbys bday. ;) I'm enjoying trying out more vegetarian recipes as well.

I'll be swaying pink starting in June too! We have one son, age 2. I'm getting so stressed with everything and trying to figure out the best route to make this happen!

Hi Elsie! I think it's so easy for us boy moms to get stressed and obsessive, especially with something so important to us. I'm still trying to figure out my best plan but plan on mellowing out a little toward may. Or trying to lol. I just want all my efforts to be the best, like I'm sure we all do. Be sure to post your sway plan as you figure it out :) Good luck with your sway and lots of pink dust!

Hey friends!! Looks like I belong in your group :) I "officially" started my diet/sway a week ago (have been mostly vegetarian and mostly skipping breakfast since January) and hoping to start trying in June. Doing the PCOS version and exercise 60 minutes per day... Going well so far although today is the first day I've really felt hungry! Kept to my calorie/protein/fat limits but I've definitely felt some hunger pains today!!! I have two amazing little guys - this will be our last baby so really hoping for a little girl!

Mommy2apples, I am starting on the regular LE as I'm not sure that I'm insulin resistant. I'm going to weigh this week and if not losing, start the PCOS.
Welcome Abc2606!! So glad we're all getting started and are here for each other! What cardio are you doing? I still hate it lol. And don't forget you can have tons of broccoli or other low carb veggies and not count it. I have 2 boys as well, and this will also be our last. I just can't imagine never having a daughter. Good luck to you and great job sticking to your limits!
Are you all sucking down the coffee too? I've basically replaced breakfast with 3-4 c and am trying to lower my creamer ratio lol. I've read in several places where Atomic highly suggests coffee for girls!

Hi Everyone! We are also swaying in June/July. I started loosely following the LE Diet at the end of last year to kinda prepare myself. About a month or so ago I went all the way Vegetarian. I'm still nursing my 20 month old son. I haven't added in the cardio yet, but I plan on starting this week. I was definitely a couch potato with all 3 of my boys, and want to switch that up. Im also normally a red wine drinker, and plan on switching to white wine instead. I haven't added any supplements, but if Atomic recommends them when I purchase the sway plan I will. I have been drinking coffee at least 3 times a day and I drink it black :) Anyone notice a change in cycle since starting the diet? My cycle came a whole week early, and before it actually started I spotted for 3 days. My period lasted 2 days followed by 2 days of spotting.. I hope this is a good sign that my body is changing :)

Yup - I'm drinking lots of coffee but I'm a big coffee drinker normally so that's no change for me :) I use half and half & sugar free flavored syrup.... Yum!!
As far as cardio I'm doing an hour of fast walking on the treadmills at the gym, sometimes I do the exercise bike. I hate exercise too but I try to distract myself as much as possible - watching whatever is on the gym TVs, music, looking at my phone, sometimes I'll watch a Netflix show on my Kindle. The more I can distract myself the faster it goes!
Good reminder about low carb veggies - I need to be eating more of these to fill up!

NACIREMADREAM I just asked Atomic about this yesterday - my last period I just finished was 3 days long and much, much lighter than normal! She confirmed it can be a side effect of the diet & is probably a good sign!!

We are also starting in June! I have slowly made changes since January, but I was stricter with the diet this month. I started my period today, but it came in the afternoon! I've ALWAYS started in the morning...literally have never in the afternoon. I tried to find a thread that I read a while back about this, but couldn't. So interesting! I hope this means the changes are working!

Welcome naciremaddream & blessedmama! I tried the Netflix while cycling today ABC and totally could have done 60 if my babies hadn't had a meltdown 😌 I went over my calories a little though, closer to 1900, after dinner with my family. So maybe more exercise tonight. I have lost 1-2 lbs over the last week so the LE is working!!!! Yay!! Expecting my period in the next week and interested to see if it's different like your all's. Naciremaddream I am trying to slowly switch to vegetarian meals, any suggested substitutions?? Pink dust to everyone!! ❤❤❤

Hi Cnerwin! I need to start my cardio soon, but my little one really won't let me do anything. If he's bored or if I'm just trying to do anything he wants to nurse. I'm scared of being a couch potato, because I wasn't very active before. I'm trying my best to do opposite of what I did to get all my little boys :) Please keep us updated with your upcoming cycle. I was so shocked it was not only a little over a week early, but it was super light. I think it really is a sign that our bodies are changing. All the hard work and dedication to the LE diet, and working out. I honestly went cold turkey with the vegetarian. I bought these freezer fake chicken. They are completely meatless, soy and gluten free. So today I made a fake chicken Cesar salad. I only add it if I have the craving, and feel I might cheat lol Pink dust to you to :)

Fridays and Saturdays my husband and I usually feed the kids, get them to bed and then eat on our own (in front of the tv, in peace, without small children throwing food at us, whining, etc!! It's amazing) Usually one of us goes and picks up food from somewhere so I eat a bit bigger meal on these two nights, but nowadays I'm being way more careful about my choices. Tonight he went to a Mexican fast food-type of place we like and I got a vegetarian salad w/ rice, black beans, pico de gallo, lettuce, and a salsa type of dressing... I added a bit of cheese to it.... It's a pretty good size portion so I feel a little guilty about that, but I'm still under my protein, fat and calorie limits for the day, so oh well (also had two glasses of wine - best part of the meal!!). I was SO tired when I got to the gym today that I thought I wouldn't manage the 60 minutes but surprisingly I squeaked it out. And between the good workout, meal and wine I think I'll sleep good tonight :)

If you're in your limits, DO NOT feel guilty! LE Diet is meant to be easy to stick to and if you're starving and miserable you're not doing something right. :)
