Hi Ladies,

Would love to know of what I'm doing is right/girl friendly

*Start work at 8, have a coffee morning then don't eat until 2pm (Is this too long to wait to eat? I don't have enough time to eat till then or an appetite)

DAILY:
Hommus, white bread or rice product, dessert
I-folic

Been eating alot of spinach, cheese, pasta, savory biscuits, sweets.

Also I work in hospitality so whilst not actively exercising I'm on my feet walking all day.

AVOIDING:
Avocado, onion, egg as much as I can, red meat as much as I can, oily fish, olive oil

Should I be having alot of yoghurt? friend is TTC also and she follows a gender site that says yoghurt all day everyday

Also anything else that could help? I have lost 10 kilos in a year eating better

Thanks for your help x

you need to look at your totals overall - that matters more than the actual foods. All of those foods are very low in potassium & that is essential.

I would personally eat sooner just for your own sake but if you aren't hungry till then I guess that's up to you.

Can you please tell me the amounts of calories, fat, protein you're eating?? The foods don't mean anything without the totals. And I need to be sure you're getting ENOUGH, not just that you're not overeating.

Yes, I am aware of the "let's all eat gobs of dairy" approach. I used to be on a site like that, and I found that the women who really did eat tons of dairy got boys, and the people who were all apologetic and only had it 1-2 times a day were the ones who succeeded. I STRONGLY urge you guys to avoid the "gobs of dairy" approach and if you really want to do mineral balancing stuff, use only cal-mag supplements and do not eat lots of dairy, as it also has lots of other nutrients and nutrients sway blue.

you need to look at your totals overall - that matters more than the actual foods. All of those foods are very low in potassium & that is essential.

Everyone needs 2500-3500 mg of potatssium a day though. That's the same on all swaying diets (even the low potassium ones) because it's the minimum your body needs to function. Unfortunately people hear low potassium and don't hear the minimum limits and some people have ended up sick in the hospital because of not enough potassium.

The "gobs of dairy" mineral balancing diets have you guys limit potassium foods. This is because the dairy has tons of potassium and in order to both eat lots of dairy and yet at the same time be called "low potassium" they had to cut out all other potassium foods. But if you AREN"T eating tons of dairy, you will NEED to eat potassium foods because otherwise you'll make yourself very sick or even die from lack of potassium.

I assure you guys, potatoes, tomatoes, bananas, etc do NOT NOT NOT "make boys". They're just foods. Even IF potassium sways, it is imperative you get enough for your body to function. The reason why the limits are the same on ALL sway diets are because that is the amount you need to eat every day. 2500-3500 mg. DO NOT drop below this.

Dairy, fruit and veg, and many will use coconut water to fill in any gaps in your potassium intake. :)

Most foods do have some potassium in them, which is nice. It adds up as long as you're not actively avoiding anything with potassium in it.
