Hello everyone. My name is Rebecca, I'm married and have 9 children with my husband.... YES 9 :O!! We live in Australia in a small farming town. Out of those 9 we have 6 boys and 3 girls. We are TTC our final child and are hoping for a girl, but don't mind either way. I know there a loads of Mamas trying to have just one pink bundle, so I hope I don't come across as greedy

So, back in 2007/2008 I was around when all the hype regarding gender selection started online. BOY... have things changed and gotten technical lol. I'm lost. I've spent a few days browsing around the forums. I've gotta tell you though I'm very confused. I see a lot of conflicting advice. (Maybe some old posts mixed up with latest research?) Back in the day we were told to BD frequently through ovulation for a Girl. Is this still so? I did this for my first daughter, but maybe it was just luck that I got her that way? I also used replens back then. This time around I'm thinking about using rephresh. Is this recommended still? Whats some basic guild lines for trying for a girl?

Nice to meet you all. Please say hey :)

Hi,

I have three boys and trying to a girl. Here is what I understand we need to do:

Diet, try to loose some weight, eat low nutrition foods. No vitamins, or supplements. Avoid dairy as high minerals sway boy. Don't drink tea for a girl only peppermint tea and raspberry leaf teas are ok. Drink coffee. Try sweet and low for sweetener.

You can try vitex which is a hearb, you can try clomid or femara which are prescription. I'm trying clomid and the sperm sort Ericsson method. Ericsson had failure for people in the paset but it just makes me feel better that I'm doing something extra lol

Hope this helps!

what an amazing family <3 i love big families, i had a successful pink sway last year and im doing the same again in the hope that we can add another girl to our family, i did a very simple and easy to stick to sway last time, it does seem that the more laid back pink sways tend to give better results.

mine was LE diet for just over 12 weeks (though i did break it for 3 days at my friends wedding the month before i fell pregnant)
1 attempt at positive opk
diet coke
no exercise, coffee or alcohol, though they are all recommended

this time im doing exactly the same but i am drinking one coffee a day, ive never drank it in my life and really cant take more than one! though 3-4 per day is whats recommended.

my advice would be to do whats working best and leave out all the rest :) LE diet, coffee, alcohol, 1 attempt, exercise if you can spare the time..
good luck with your sway and i hope you get your little girl xx

Just curious, what order did your boys and girls come in? I'm sure your family is so fun with all those kids! Good luck on your sway!
