I called the lab and they said that they had to use the second vial of blood and my results should be ready in 2-3 days. I'll call my doctor's office if I haven't heard from them by Friday.

For the MaterniT21 Plus test they take 2 vials of blood. It's common to need the second vial of blood for the lab to verify their results from running the initial testing.

Hey all...is anyone around the 12 week mark and still feeling absolutely exhausted? I need to work out if this is common or if it's time I need to visit my doctor.

Me! I have never been so exhausted in my life. Nevvvver experienced this with my daughter. I get winded walking up the stairs and I feel like I'm a fairly fit person to begin with so I'm not used to this at all. I got short of breath doing dishes yesterday so much so I had to lay down!! What the heck??

I have been a little worried about blood pressure.. cuz often times I feel like I'm having like a mini anxiety attack just internally. My mind is there but my body feels like my heart is pumping in over drive and so I get dizzy and my arms get numb so I have to sit down to settle myself.

Going to my 14 week appt tho today so I was just gonna mention it to her then! I'll keep you all posted :) no ultrasound tho. Just doppler and blood check

OMG! Congrats BB!!!! So so so happy for you!

XX - the wait is killing me. :) FXd we hear soon.

AFM - PLEASE tell me that you all felt your worst around the 8-9 week mark. I am so sick! It is taking everything I have not to throw up all day long. I get severe anxiety about throwing up, so I do everything to avoid it. I am at work barely functioning and that is after taking the Unisom that helped me last pg. :( I am worse if I don't take it. I am praying this will at least ease a little soon.

I too have breakouts along my jaw and chin. They are not cystic but whiteheads. I usually get cystic acne so this is different for me. I can't wear makeup, since it makes it worse. I sure hope this doesn't last all pregnancy!

I'm 14w4d and I'm STILL feeling sick at least 2-6 hours out of the day! I puke at least 1-3 times a week and I can't seem to eat more than 500 calories per meal. This is getting really old!

On a happier note, I am feeling the baby move more [emoji4]! It's usually when the baby rolls or when my bladder is full. This is my favorite part of the pregnancy [emoji4].

Well I found the culprit for my mini anxiety attacks/dizzy lightheaded spells! Apparently I have low blood pressure. So as I physically exert myself, my blood pressure drops and I feel faint like I had explained earlier. Interesting... so I was prescribed more food and caffeine lol! Here I'm trying to be healthy this pregnancy.. and she tells me to eat more and drink soda... cmon now.. [emoji23]

Well, I sure do hope that being a complete grump is a blue sign! LOL! I have yet to be emotional like I was with DD. I'm just angry all the time. :nono:

Nann3r - That's terrible advice :O I would actually suggest that you add sea salt or himalayan salt to your drinking water. Maybe make a big pitcher of lemonade or something you like and add 1/2 tsp per liter of water. That will really help out with low bp.

AFM, I apparently have a developing UTI. That's why I was getting up to pee so much and that's why I have cramps. I collected some urine 2 days ago after some discomfort and sure enough, there were little particles in it. I'm treating it and feeling a bit better now. Bleeding never came back by the way and I hope it stays like that :D

Thank u for the all the congratulations !
Yes at the beginning I had headaches and generally this pregnancy I have just felt 'unwell' like hungover exhausted and sick tummy ache head ache thirsty and hungry all at the same time !
It's the hardest pregnancy so far and thank god now I know it will be my last !

Jconger thank u and my sway is on this site unde Add Your Sway .
To be honest it wasn't the strongest and it wa only 12 weeks but the changes I made were quite dramatic my mum and brother and mum were worried about me as I did loose weight and look quite thin and not eating any of my usual boy foods and exercised everyday (almost) for 12 weeks I think that really helped . Who knows what worked but something did !!!
We went shopping yesterday it's just ridiculous the stuff u can get for baby girls just all so beautiful I bought tights and pink blankets loads of outfits and even her dress for Christmas Day!!! [emoji7]

Can't wait to see more pink on here ! I've got my Nt scan today so get to see her wriggling on the screen can't wait

does anyone else get a food aversion? I had a bad chocolate aversion with DS1 & it seems to be back this pregnancy. Not great timing with easter! DS1 I craved fruit & hated the thought of chocolate & it seems to be exactly the same this time. DS2 I wanted coke, chocolate & chips all the time - not exactly healthy! Maybe its because of such a long time on the LE diet but I am having a hard time thinking about eating or what type of food that I want & that is very unusual for me. I cant even blame it on morning sickness. I was so very sick with DS1 & a bit with DS2 but I only have the slightest nausea this time & no vomiting at all (thankgod!). Any ideas?

I will be looking for your update Fiveboys!!!

Robin - glad all was well with your scan. One step closer.

AFM - I am feeling just how BB explained. So sick and like a hungover feeling (not that I have been hungover in so long). Just so unwell, I want to climb back into bed and just sleep it off. But I am sitting here at work trying to function. I have not found anything that I can eat that makes it better. In fact I don't really want to eat because I know I will feel worse. But if I don't eat, I get hunger pains in my belly (sometimes wake up this way too) and get heartburn and nausea from not eating. I am so so so happy this is my last pregnancy. I am too old for this. Sorry for venting and rambling. I woke up puking this morning, so not a way to start my day.

I feel the exact same way. I'm taking diclectin but it only mildly helps. I literally just threw up. My problem is I don't want to eat anything bc everything sounds gross to me. I am forcing myself to eat rice cakes and crackers at this point.

The last few days I've felt much worse- the diclectin has been taking the edge off until now but I threw up most of the day yesterday.

I'm planning to book a private scan for next month at 16 weeks. Eight more weeks sounds like an eternity to wait to find out, I certainly don't want to wait twelve until my anatomy scan! I'm feeling more sure that this is another boy, and I'm trying to be happy about it. I'm still longing for a girl with all my heart.

Everything, including all of the old wives tales were true. I ovulated from the left ovary, the placenta was (and still is) on the left side, and even the baby prefers to be on the left side of my uterus. Strange!

does anyone else get a food aversion? Any ideas?

Yes I cannot go near chocolate or coffee, anything spicy, red meat, fatty stuff (except crisps) or too much tomato. I am managing to eat more now - but tends to be quite bland stuff like a large bowl of rice with a few veg/sometimes a tiny bit of tuna stirred through. I love crisps/chips and could eat them all day. For the first few weeks I struggled to eat or drink anything.

Despite my lack of eating, the amount of carby stuff I am actually eating means I've put on quite a bit of weight. Is anybody else showing yet? I am 10 weeks and have an obvious tummy. Very annoying as I really wanted to hide it longer...but I guess it is my 4th pregnancy so probably a lot of that is my body remembering! I am also a very small person with a short torso so tend to have the hugest bumps that stick right out. With ds3 my neighbour guessed at 6 weeks!!!

CONGRATULATIONS XX!!!! I knew it was a girl - just everything sounded like a typical girl pregnancy. I know it isn't nice to think about but the two women I know who had twins early on and lost one, had girls. I think because girls are the 'stronger sex' so will hang on in there through tough times. You must be overjoyed. So happy for you and your hubby!

And Congratulations to anybody I missed - was it you Butterflies? I don't manage to get online much. So busy with the boys - getting pretty scared about adding another little one to the mix!

That's lovely news fiveboys...such a relief to see the heartbeat! Incidentally, how are you guys managing to work out which side you ovulated from? I'd never heard of this kind of thing being a potential gender predictor...so after reading it so much on here off I went along to my 12 week scan a couple of weeks ago and then asked the sonographer during the scan. He said it was impossible to know which side you ovulate from and kind of made me feel silly for asking! So it looks as though I missed out on picking up that info from the scan which kind of sucks...

Don't worry I wish I didn't know lol
My 6 weeks scan showed I ovulated from right as apparently it was that ovary that was supporting baby until placenta takes over. But there was no visible placenta on that scan. I have had a lot of cramps on my left even now at 9 weeks so maybe baby had changed sides since I was scanned lol

So i'm thinking of having a few private scans since I'm not getting the NIPT after all. May schedule one for this weekend at which point I'd be about 13 weeks 3 days according to my last scan. I've honestly never had a sonographer that understands anything about the 'nub theory' so what stuff should I be telling them to hone in on in order for me to get a good pic ? I think I know what I should be looking for...bright white lines, angle of the lines etc but is there anything specific to mention to the sonographer such that I can get a decent pic if they haven't a clue what a 'nub' is?!

I'm 10w2d and I have a belly and this is my 3rd. Like you, I'm very short waisted and normally fairly thin. I've got a pretty constant icky/hungover feeling but I'm still able to eat most things. My diet hasn't changed much besides a few extra carbs at times just to settle my stomach and limiting the size of my meals to avoid feeling awful. I am so incredibly bloated! It's not horrible first thing in the morning but as soon as I eat I feel huge. This is definitely different from my previous pregnancies with the boys. Has anyone felt like this?
NIPT tomorrow and already nervous! It's going to be a long week!

Make sure the sonography captures an image with the baby laying on its back with legs down or away from their abdomen. Basically, a side profile of the baby.

I still have a good aversion to fruit, except bananas. At best, they taste horribly unripe, and at the worst, they taste like cough medicine! I miss my fruit [emoji22]! I'm not much of a desserts kind of girl, but to satisfy my sweet tooth I've been having a couple pieces of chocolate. It's just not the same!

I seem to have that hangover feeling as well. I already had a bump on front from my previous pregnancies, so I don't *think* I am showing. But clothing is getting a bit tighter. I have an aversion to all food right now. The only thing that sounds good and does not make me sick is candy. Ugh. Like jellybeans, or hard candies. I can eat those all day long. Seriously, this is not fun. I was sick last pregnancy, but not even this much and I was pregnant with triplets!

I love the name!

We are starting to think of names too. I still like the name I wanted for DS2, if he would've been a girl: Silvia Grace. We also like Audrey but have some friends we've fallen out of touch with that have a daughter with that name. I felt so gutted when they told us her name. She's 12 or 13 now. I also like Vera. I want to come up with a good word name, because my name is a word name. I just don't want anything crazy or Faith/Hope/Charity, because those are so super common.

Any ideas on girl word names?

You got it! I love old traditional names that are not very common anymore. I really like Silvia but it's still early yet. Typically it takes my DH and I until about somewhere until between 20-30 weeks before we have a name. At least the middle names have been decided- Elizabeth or Grace [emoji4]

You would think we would have several girl names on reserve, but we do not! We typically wait until we know what we are having or when I feel the baby to get a sense for their essence/personality. This little one is very quiet and gentle/delicate so far. It's still early yet. I'll get a better sense once she gets bigger. Maybe she is just a laid back, gentle type. Time will tell [emoji4][emoji178]!

So is there something to where you ovulated? I too have a corpus luteum cyst but I didn't think which side you ovulated from or the cyst told you really anything at all... and about aversions. I would have aversions to one or two things or cravings to things with the girls but this baby everything has been an aversion. Nothing sounds good to eat. The thought of food is nauseating. With the girls, my acid reflex just left an empty stomach feeling all the time. This baby has been straight up food aversions and nausea. Praying those are all good signs. We will hear the heartbeat next Tuesday but I doubt she will do another scan unless it is to check on the cyst.

Hello ladies! I hope this post works, I tried posting about a week ago and it wouldn't let me for some reason. Someone asked recently for a little intro/recap from everyone;
I have two boys aged 7 and 3. I am now 18 weeks pregnant with a girl after not a very good sway at all so I'm feeling incredibly blessed and constantly have to pinch myself that I am getting my girl that I have dreamed of for so long.

I just wanted to say a big congratulations to BB and XX. I have been reading all your posts and was so thrilled that you both your dream genders. I honestly had such a strong feeling that you both would though, simply based on your posts/symptoms etc!! So exciting. BB have you bought heaps of pink already? I have gone slightly nuts with the shopping!
Good luck for everyone else still waiting for their results, I'm sure we are still going to hear more pink in this thread!!

Oh and as for names, we are going to use a name that starts with E after my mother in law who passed away so we are thinking either Estelle or Eve (Evie as a nickname). But if we didn't use a name stating with E we would use Angelina after my grandmother. Otherwise I love Gisele, Vivian, Evelyn (I can't use it as my niece is Evelyn). I also think Audrey is beautiful and Everleigh/Everley.
Hmm word names... I like the suggestions of Jade.
Girl names are hard aren't they?? I find boy names so much easier!!

I could not make this up if I tried [emoji23]: While filling DS2's water bottle and brushing my teeth, I puke up my dinner into the kitchen sink. Meanwhile, DS3 opens the revolving cabinet (Lazy Susan) next to me and belly laughs while spilling the contents of Chex Mix onto the kitchen floor. Totally comical, haha!

Seriously though, I'm almost 15 weeks and STILL throwing up! Ugh!

I've had one shopping trip so far but it's easier holidays here so I've not had much chance to get to the shops with the boys being off but I'm hoping I can soon! Plus I'm constantly looking online for stuff which is fun !

Roe-- I'm not sure but I would think that if it can be drawn from 9 weeks then you should be good.

AFM-- I had my first scan yesterday and all is well. I saw the heartbeat but I didn't hear because the sonographer did an abdominal scan instead of the vaginal one (which I'm thankful for lol). But I did see the little flutter on the screen!!! I was very excited I feel like I can breathe a bit easier now. We plan on announcing the pregnancy at Easter dinner. I didn't ask about what side I ovulated from but the baby looks like its on the left side in one picture than on the right in another one. What you ladies think?

Awe, cute baby! I won't hazard a guess, since Ramzi has been wrong on many accounts. However, it looks like the placenta maybe slightly on the left but is almost centered. My DS3's placenta was in the same position. Again, I don't put much stock into Ramzi theory as I do the nub theory. Let's wait and see what the nub looks like! It's best to have your scan from 12w6d onward.

According to my due date I conceived on the 8th of March. We DTD the 4th, 5th and 8th...so it's likely that I conceived from DTD on the 5th right?

Also, how do I add a ticker to my signature...at least I think that's what they are called.

XX - that sounds horrible about being sick still. I expect mine to last the whole time. It did last time. :( Luckily, I have only pukes a handful of times and it has been on an empty stomach, so just dry heaving. Still not fun, but better.

BB - Glad you are having fun shopping. Enjoy.

Roe - I am sure you will be fine with your test. After 10w is very accurate.

ahorn - cute baby. I don't believe Ramzi - so side does not really matter. And the tech can turn the image so that it is reversed, so you just never know what you are looking at.

AFM - still here. Still sick. and just getting very anxious about my appt on Monday. I will be gone most of the day since it is my 7 year anniversary, so I will update when I can, but it might not be until Tuesday. Sorry. I am still around reading today and possibly this weekend.

I found a beautiful, uncommon girl name that I have fallen in love with. I just hope my DH likes it as much as I do! It fits the criteria we had for our boys' names: it had to start with a vowel and have 2 of the same letters somewhere in the name (Like Isaac or example). We have an A, E, and I already. This name starts with O and has 2 N's in the name!

I also like Audrina Elizabeth or Audrina Grace. We have friends that we have sorta fallen away from that named their eldest Audrey. Audrey has been my FAV name since I was a little girl and saw Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady. I think Audrina would be nice, and we could call we Audri as a nick name.

I'm loving Olivienne though. It reminds me of the ever popular Olivia and the classic name Vivienne. However it has to pass the DH test, haha! He has naming rights since this is his long awaited DD! I remember how adamant I was about my DS1's name- I was a force to be reckoned with, haha!

This is why it is really difficult to say. It's not as reliable as the nub theory.

Lady Tara, my OB and the last tech I had for my early scan showed me how they can detect the formation of the placenta. It is the thickened area at the top right of where the baby is attached at the top of your uterus.

Yep. My DS3 was in the center, slightly on the left for the placenta, and he was on the left side of my uterus.

This time, my DD is on the left side of my uterus and so is the placenta. As you can see, it really isn't much of a theory- My DS3 should've been a girl, haha!

Olivienne is beautiful! I too love Olivia and Vivienne. If I didn't have to use an E name, Vivienne would be a top contender. What names does your hubby like?

Why do u have to year an e name?
And xx... u have to use a vowel and two letters the same lol who makes these rules up ha (no offence)
My thing is I can't use the same first letter again so I would have all my kids beginning with j for instance (like 19 kids and counting)

Ladytara - my mother in law passed away in tragic circumstances when my husband was 19 and her name was Effy. My husband and I both agreed to chose a name that starts with E in memory of her which I am more than happy to do, especially as this baby will most likely be her only granddaughter :)

Haha, you made me laugh so hard Ladytara! The pattern kind of worked out that way for our boys. With our baby girl, we don't necessarily feel like we have to do that. It's just I stumbled on the name Olivienne on a website and fell in love with it! It just so happens to fall into the pattern with our boy names. Audrina is also on our list- it is a vowel name but doesn't have the pattern as our boy names. I also like Silvia, which is different. My DH has the final say this time though, haha!

I agree ladytara. For us and names we won't use the same first letter twice. I also have two names that end in "n" and one that ends in "y". I am really trying hard to not choose another name ending in "n" bc inthink that would be too much !

We're going to really struggle to name another boy. I've always preferred/found girls' names easier. I don't have any patterns to names, but don't like repetition of letters or groups of letters.

I have thought of a couple of boys' names I like (Gabriel, Jasper) but my husband says absolutely no way (but has no suggestions of his own). He thinks everything I like is too poncy/the child would get teased. I managed to trick him into agreeing to ds2's name though - I had always decided to name him something that dh hated ('poncy'), so I said that we'd see what he looked like when he was born and have that name and another couple in mind. Of course after the long labour, dh just said 'yes' when I said that he looked like my chosen name!

I have a long list of girls' names, would love to use any of them. Please, please let me do so this time, powers that be! S
XX, Audrey is on my list because of somebody very special to me with that name.

Also love Annabelle and Olivienne!

Well my ms has come to an abrupt stop since Yst and nothing since thank God, according to my dates exactly 13 weeks, feeling normal again thank God. But my nose is covered in pimples 🤔

I've giving up on this whole ramzi theory just don't know why a female baby would be attracted more to the left side then the right, it just doesn't make sense. Plus loads of people have gotten boys from the left side

I have always struggles picking boys names so I hope we dont have to decide another! I already have a Luke & a Liam so hubby says no more L names! Unfortunately for him the girls name I really want will be shortened to a L name as well! It makes it easy to label the kids things for school too - everything just has the same initials on it.

Ladytara I really would pay no heed to that prediction, there just going off the basis if the baby is on the right it's a boy and left it's a girl and there making the assumption its a mirror image which I don't know is the case or not. Plus the tech can flip the image unless you specifically asked.

Also hun if you Google it you will see loads of women have their placenta/baby positioned on the right and have had girls. This looks to me to be a money making racket and I bet there are tons of opposites. It's like going to a fortune teller it's 50/50 each time... I hope you feel a bit better about it!!!! Xxx

I mean if you look into the true Ramzi theory it's based on where the blood circulation was. They used the coloring DURING the ultrasound. I kind of can't believe these people are calling themselves experts under ramzi just from the photo shot. I know it's fun and all bc I was caught up in it. Looking at the report and study by Ramzi though it was at 6 weeks with all of the conditions right during the ultrasound... so yes I would say the nub theory makes the most sense. Just most of us won't have an ultrasound done at 13 weeks if one was done sooner.

Ugh I still feel miserable. My husband was talking last night about how fast it's been going for him, and it's been the exact opposite for me. Maybe it's because he had a big project at work that started the week we conceived and finished last week. He was working more than usual so I had more days alone with both boys from wake up to bedtime, and he missed the worst of the migraines and throwing up. Maybe it's just because I'm the miserable one obsessing every moment and he's convinced there will be no problems with this pregnancy and that it's a girl.

Who should be next to find out gender?

I know it's a bit different for me because I'm overweight, but I don't think I've ever been up at all by 15 weeks. In fact with DS1 I didn't catch back up to pre-pregnancy weight until my 3rd trimester, and he was a big baby. I wouldn't worry too much, every pregnancy is different and unless you're underweight to start I don't think it's important to gain in the first half of pregnancy at all.

I like Arlo for a boy but it's still very unheard of here in Australia for a girl (and Ryan too), I think US or UK start with the name trends and then a few years later, Australia gets them! We're still pretty behind in a lot of areas tbh...My mum visited and said it was like going back to the 1950s!

Wilder sounds very cool!

Because I have all boys, I think, like others on here, I'd have to choose something pretty girly for my only girl (If I get one).

I wouldn't trust the Ramzi stuff - sounds v unlikely to me. Have my fingers crossed that we all get our GDs! I know what you mean though, I get quite low about it all and think it's v unlikely that mine is a dd. Everyone around here seems to be having girls, and I always think - law of averages, I won't! I really don't want another boy (obviously I will if/when he's here, but now I don't). Also never been a particularly lucky person. Feel guilty feeling this way, because I know it doesn't matter what is between a child's legs and that I should be grateful to have any kids at all. And I am. But it's hard. So glad to have you lot who understand - if I voiced my opinions out loud I think I'd get a lot of flack!

I had no headaches with my last 3 pregnancies (all boys) and this time round really bad headaches especially in the evening/night time I've to lye down with lights off ... it's desperate!!!!

How many weeks do u have to be to do that ramzi test, I've only a scan at 9 wks so think that's to late? Probably better of treating myself to a nice lunch instead with the money 😂

I actually cried a little at the mall yesterday. I just caught a glimpse of something girly I wanted to buy so bad, I teared up. I'm really struggling with the cycle of trying not to get my hopes up and then trying to hold out hope because this might be my last chance to really hope.

I don't think travelling for PGD is really something that we can reasonably afford to do, especially not with three kids at home. We wanted a third child, but a fourth without a guarantee isn't something I want to face.

I know exactly how you feel fox. I have 5 boys and my heart aches terribly.

I would love one more. Not sure if it will happen. HT in Cyprus is alot cheaper than US. Ive read a few of others journeys. Its still a big step though either way

Sorry to hear that foxtrot... I'm in the same boat, I was in buying some maternity gear earlier with my boys and couldn't even look at all the baby girl stuff, I glimpsed over and my heart actually ached! I can't even face to look at any of it, I think this maybe a sign that I know deep down in my gut I am carrying my 4th boy 😢

And to make matters even worse I found out over the wknd that two of my best friends are expecting their 2nd girl .... I only want one!!!!! Everyone seems to be expecting girls so no doubt I'm pregnant with a boy! Such anxiety leading up to my scan on Thursday

I swear everyone I see/know is pregnant with a girl so now I'm worried I'll get a girl too lol so opposite boat for me!

I always ache looking at boy clothes or toys.. :/ from when I found out I was having a girl 2 and a half years till 11 weeks ago when we found out we were preggo! My gut says this is a boy, but I can't tell if it's just my hopes and wants getting in the way.. but it's made looking at the boy section somewhat fun for me at least for the time being.

Stay positive ladies! I have so much hope for all of us!

This is exactly how I feel. I have pretty much accepted this is a boy with all of my friends and family announcing girls lately. Really heartbroken and absolutely cannot even look at girl things. The thought of enduring the hardest part of then pregnancy (3rd trimester) and then the labor, to have another son is overwhelming to say the least. But the majority of the dread I feel centers around having to mount a happy face to family and friends about it all as well. I could barely do it last time, but to do it all over again is too much right now. It's emotionally exhausting.
After 24/7 obsessing for the last 3-4 years over planning my next pregnancy, my sway, actually swaying itself, and now enduring the pregnancy, this has been a long road. And it's devastating to realize it could all end in disappointment. And even more so now that this is our last child.

Sigh. Just trying to think of the positives. I'll find out in about 2 weeks.

How many sons have you again wantanother? I've been researching/planning this sway also for the last 2.5/3 years ... I don't think I would have gone through with it if I'd know how anxious and stressed I would feel all the time about it. I wish I just focused on the 3 sons I have and get on with my life. And here I am again going through all the motions, waking up in the middle of the night stressed out!!

I totally hear you ladies. I have wanted a son since the moment we found out we were pregnant for the first time over five years ago... I know that ache and the heartache of hearing the opposite gender two times. I so so love my girls, and sisters are amazing, as I am sure brothers are too.... it is harder when you wait years and see everyone else, or what it seems like... everyone else, getting the gender they so desire. I don't know what all of you believe, but I am trusting God knows the desires of our hearts. He is asking us to trust in the waiting, and believe that He is a Good Good Father. My oldest needed a sister and I see that now. I am asking and believing to finally have my own son. Hope you ladies have a wonderful day. Just my two cents

I admit it's the telling people it's another boy and their comments etc that upsets me more than the longing for a girl!
I'm ten weeks Thursday and apart from bloating and indegestion and sick feeling in eves I don't have symptoms now! A little worried [emoji30] but I'm getting scan on Thursday thank goodness. I also hoped I would be a lot sicker in hope it's a girl

I have one son, 3 years old. We only wanted 1-2 kids. I knew I'd be disappointed if it was a boy, but I totally underestimated the despair I felt when I found out. My pregnancy was horrible and I had very dark thoughts. It took months after his birth to feel very connected.
We have a strong bond now, but thoughts of "what if I had a daughter first" pervade my thoughts daily.
We had to think long and hard about even swaying, as the last pregnancy was traumatizing for my husband and I both. (Him just watching me go through such depression)

I really wanted to just do PGD, but my husband refused. Now he already regrets that, even though the gender of this child is still unknown. He understands more the severity of my feelings. But what can we do now.

In some ways I'm better prepared to deal with the reality of not hearing girl, but in others I will feel even more despair since I know the horrors of my feelings to come, the many announcements I have to choke through, the slow bonding, the shame and guilt. And of course the finality of it all, this being our last child.

I honestly don't know how so many of you have suffered through GD with so many pregnancies. I feel for you and hope you get your dream genders!

Don't fret! I know it's easier said than done! My friend has 3 girls and apart from having a strong sense of smell that would make her sick/throw up at times, she never had MS with them. She was hospitalized though with her DS with HG. My grandma had 3 girls and was never sick with them except for bouts of sour stomach.

FX so hard you see a very healthy baby with a strong heartbeat on Thursday! I'm also Xing everything this is your girl!

I wasn't nearly as sick with the girls as I have been this pregnancy. I swore my second daughter was a boy bc the sickness was barely there. Mostly just hungry and an empty stomach feeling that wouldn't go away. I never felt just nauseated like I have with this one. Who knows though. I hear every pregnancy and every body is totally different. Don't let your symptoms make you think otherwise!!

I'm with all of you ladies! I've been nervous since I got the BFP but my nerves went through the roof since Friday when I had my blood drawn for the Panorama. I want them to tell me girl so bad! I feel like the only reason I have a slight feeling it's a girl is because I hope so badly that it is.
I honestly think my bloat has improved (I'm 10w6d), my boobs are still pretty sore and I have some very mild (hungover type) nausea off and on all day but it gets horrible about 5 or 6pm until I go to bed.
Seeing this on the Panorama tracking site gave me a panic attack!

I had so many dark thoughts.. it was horrendous and I look back and I'm so ashamed.. but I totally agree with PP that god knows the desires of our hearts so he know what's best for me. Even though I soooo hope I don't hear girl again ugh... /: that's why I'm going team green. I don't want to be in such a dark place during pregnancy like I was with my DD.

I'm looking forward to hearing what you are having all of u - I know how hard it is not knowing and the constant anxiety that's why I just had to have that blood test so I could get on with parenting and sleep better at night . Saying that if I was having a boy I don't know how I would feel as this is definately our last child as now we won't have to move etc 3 will be enough kids for us .

I think u all have a great chance of hearing pink listening to how long and hard u have all been swaying amazes me I think u should be proud that u have given ur all - I so hope u all get your desired gender imagine how amazing this due date group would be then ! Surely we'd make history on here !

I'm 13 weeks now - ages until my next scan (June) so now just wait until I feel the kicks I can't wait for that part!
I've popped out a little bIt now too it must be because of it's my 3rd pregnancy xx

I'm finding it stressful hiding everything as I haven't told a soul apart from my hubby bf and u guys obviously that I'm even pregnant. I'm already avoiding the comments !!!!!
Last time I pretended I was team green even tho I found out at 16 weeks lol
I was at a farm today and looking at all families. And so many had girls and I'm not being funny but I'm sure a lot of them didn't even brush their hair. I imagine if I had a girl I would make sure it's always tidy and make the most of having a girl lol

It is comforting to have you girls as my due date group. I have been stressed out none stop since I found out I am preg with my third. I kept on thinking I should have gone all vegetarian on my LE diet and questioning did i truly give it my best shot. Deep in my heart I feel I am having a third boy because my symptoms are exactly the same as the last two. My 6 weeks ultrasound also looked exactly like the one for my older son. I feel like I am slowly driving myself insane. Two more weeks until my blood test and on one hand I can't wait for the results...but on the other hand I don't know if I can deal with the blow of hearing another boy considering this is our last child. My heart is broken. A friend that was due when I was just told me the baby died. They found out this morning and they had only seen the hb 10 days ago! Makes me so nervous since I've had a mc and have been fretting every apt for that news. Tomorrow I'll be 12 weeks and we will listen for the hb. It doesn't look like my hubby can get off for the apt. I would love prayers that baby is still beating away.
