*sigh* I'm still not feeling so great. I really hate the food options I have as they are all a recipe for weigh gain. All I can eat is some fruit and starches. I can manage a little fat in the form of mayo, but that's it. No vitamins, just folate 800mcg.

DH says I got slimmer from up top and he surely doesn't mind the pregnancy boobs lol. All my tights are actually tight and I'm looking into maternity ones (this early?! I think I just gained weight).

I wonder if DNA has something to do with discomfort levels in early pregnancy? I just can't believe the difference compared to my pregnancy with DD, so I just blame my husband LOL. None of the women in my family really have MS or Nausea, especially not my mom. I'm the only person in my whole family to marry outside of my race, but my ex DH is the same nationality as my current DH so maybe it is just individual.

I just want this phase to be over. I really have it much easier than most (no vomiting), but when my family already has huge dietary restrictions, my food aversions and nausea make it that much worse. I have lost interest in cooking and its affecting everyone. The fatigue really sucks. I wasn't expecting it so early on.

Cosmos - HUGS. I know the feeling. I am already tired of the constant nausea and my family is certainly suffering. I have a hard time cooking anything for dinner. We had cereal the other night. I just couldn't. Hang in there. The fatigue is supposed to get better in the second tri. I sure hope it does for you!

I misunderstood your post in the earlier thread Amelia! All of my boys implanted on the right. My DS3 was tricky- his was in the middle but a little towards the right. DS1 and DS2 their placentas were on the right, but DS3's placenta was on the left. As you can see, according to both theories he could've easily been a girl, haha!

This baby I ovulated from the left ovary, the baby implanted on the left most side of my uterus, and the placenta is still on the left side.

I wouldn't get too worked up about that and would be more interested in what the nub looks like from 12w6d-13w6d.

FX so hard for you 🤞🏻[emoji1317]!!

If we're all having different pregnancies this hopefully will be a good thing for us all :)

Butterflies- I had my blood drawn today for my NIPT (MaterniT21 Plus) and should have the results either sometime next week at the earliest or most likely the following week (the first week of April).

This is getting so exciting with some of us finding out the gender soon!

Oddly enough the only pregnancy where I didn't have many symptoms and very mild nausea until 7-8 weeks was the last triplet one. You would have thought it would be way worse. We were FLOORED to find out there were 3 in there. So you just never know.

XX - I am so happy for you. I just started crying here a my desk. BTW - this crying thing is getting out of hand. I am crying at everything these days. What the heck.

Me too Shannshaff! I can cry at the drop of a hat! I was reading the news today on my phone, and cried like a baby at a story about a high school boy doing the heimleich maneuver on another boy, saving his life! I also cry at diaper commercials and any time my boys do something sweet (which is all the time!). I can also get frustrated easily too, which I watch by taking deep breaths or waiting 30sec before I respond to something, haha!

Update on me (posted on Abundant April TWW too)

Since you ladies have been my sounding board, I am going to update on what the Dr finally said from the U/S report. I am not nearly as confident as they are. They said the Sac measured 5w4d and that since it was so early, that explains not seeing anything. Also, they did see an SCH - so that does explain the bleed. But my question is how could I have "just caught it very early" and got a BFP on 6dpo as they claim. I went in for my scan at 6w and only measured 5w4d. Not much difference, but could mean a lot. I got my fist BFP at 9dop...so there is NO WAY I am off 3 days on ovulation. They schedled a regular OB appointment and just want to go from there. UGH. That appointment is scheduled for 4/10 which puts me at 8w. If they want another scan, it would be another 2 weeks after that for me to be able to get one done without taking time off work and going in without the kids with us. I am just not sure what to do. Thoughts?

XXforhubby
March 24th, 2017, 04:58 PM
I would push for another scan at 8 weeks after your appointment. There is nothing at that appointment that could confirm a viable pregnancy without an ultrasound.

I agree with you and your thoughts on your dates. Food for thought- you could just have a "slow grower" like I did with my DS2. He's a perfectly healthy boy!

FX so hard for you!!

My friends are off visiting the shop that does their custom bows and headbands today. I'm just a little bit jealous.

My morning sickness is down to practically nothing with only a small dose of meds, which is very different than with my boys, so I'm hoping it's a good sign.

Xx So your tech actually believed and in a way encouraged the nub theory? Did you go to a private clinic or your OB/midwife just had your first u/s at 13 weeks? I have yet to meet anyone at the hospital or clinic believe in any of the "theories". That is so exciting she was willing to take a guess and it lined up with what everyone else is thinking according to this theory!! So awesome!! Excited to hear!

Cosmos I am in the exact same boat. So so so tough to cook anything. Just the thought of making a grocery list/meal planning makes me nauseous. My acid reflux has kicked up a knotch too to make things worse. I do not remember such bad nausea and food aversions with the girls. Thankfully I haven't thrown up (with any of my pregnancies) bc I just can't do it. Makes me super anxious/ so praise God for that but the constant nausea/food aversions is getting really old. Almost 10 weeks so praying it eases up so so soon.

Thanks everyone :) I would be alot more active if I didn't feel like garbage. I even lost interest in being online, which is so not like me LOL!

My boobs are super dense and heavy and my nipples are very sore still. I sleep mostly on my left and my back to DH. He has to tell me so many times each night to face him and I just end up on my left side anyway. I didn't even pay attention until that question was asked here, haha.

Did I update you all on my chiro visit? She said that my upper back was very stiff and not flexible, which made my transitional vertebrae overcompensate plus the relaxin making everything move more. She adjusted my upper/mid back and I felt like I could breathe deeper instantly! It was soooo nice. I've been icing the painful spot once every other day. It is doing MUCH better. I went back yesterday and she adjusted my SI joints yesterday (lower back/hip area) and I just feel alot lighter overall. I'm so glad I went!

7 weeks today & still no vomiting. I started vomiting with both boys at 7weeks & I also vomited with our last pregnancy which ended in miscarriage too so who knows what this week is going to bring. I am still trying to decide about NIPT. It is so expensive in australia - between $400-900 & there are so many to choose from, I just dont know where to begin. Any suggestions? Harmony? Panorama? Nifty? Nest? genea? There are too many options! I dont know where to start. Do you have to ask for gender as a extra or is it included? Thanks!

I had my scan done in maternal fetal medicine at my hospital. They have high resolution machines for high risk pregnancies, in my case, advanced maternal age. Yes, the US tech was familiar with the theory. She said it's based on the anatomy of the tube the sex organs form from. She did say it's not 100% but would be shocked if our baby didn't end up being a girl. That being said, we are still preparing to hear boy.

Gender is included in the NIPTs. From the ones you listed, I would go with Harmony or Panaorama- those are by far the best for the genetic testing side of these tests.

That is so awesome and exciting!! I really wish we could have another at 13 weeks but I doubt it since everything looked good at 9. That just doesn't work for the placenta, skull or nub theory unfortunately. I doubt we will do any of the blood tests bc I don't think they will be covered. Anyone else sick starting around noon to bed? Napping relieves the nausea, but it hits hard around noon and dinner time til I fall asleep. Thankfully no throwing up still, but man this has been wayyy harder than the girls so feeling pretty confident in this being our last. Keep telling myself two more weeks and hopefully I'll start feeling better.

Funny you ask about which side to sleep on. I always have faced my back to hubby when it's time to fall asleep. We've just always cuddled and then turned away lol. With the pregnancy though I am finding myself definitely staying on my left side and still facing him. Is that like a thing? The side you sleep on? I know I've had a lot of pulling/twinge feelings on the right and the u/s tech said I had that cyst from ovulating on that side so perhaps that is why.

Feeling a bit down tonight. Sometimes I'm overwhelmed with the reality that I'm terrified of how I'll process the news of this little one being another boy. And the finality of never having a daughter.

I wish I could come up with some thought or mantra that I would be of comfort when I'm overwhelmed with GD. Of course what I really wish is that I'd be thrilled no matter what this baby is.
It's still such a long way off before we will know. I'm just hoping I adjust to the news better then last time.

Thanks for listening guys!

I totally hear you except in on the other side of things and am hoping to finally hear BOY! I cried when I heard girl the last two times and really don't want to ever feel that way toward one of my babies again. Such a tough place to be, and then you see everyone else getting the gender they hoped for. It can be tough and I think we can all agree that we hear and know where you are coming from. I'm feeling the same worries. I just want a girl this time around. I love my boys, but I so want a chance at my very own little girl. I want to buy new fun clothes and accessories and dolls. Not that I'm someone who won't let my boys have girly things, they just aren't interested. I want the other side. I don't really have a mother/daughter relationship with my mother or my step-mother, and I want that for myself.

I hear all of u ! I'm the same - I was explaining that I want to experience a different side of parenting - planning my daughters wedding and being at the birth of my grandchildren and hearing her stories about boys and other life troubles my mum is my best friend and I really want to have that myself - I'm so nervous about this bloodwork as it's so final - this is our final baby and if they ring and say it's a boy I just don't know how I'll feel ... crushed to be honest and devastated . I know swaying isn't 100% but that doesn't mean to say I'm not allowe to grieve for the daughter il never have I just really hope I won't be in that situation next week when they ring me ...
GD is so hard and no one really talks about it it's all so secretive thanks god we have this place and my husband is also very understanding - he's dreading my reaction if it's a boy I don't think he will know what on earth to do to comfort me !!
All we've got is hope girls ... all we can do is hope - hugs to all

This is my last shot as well and the thought of having a 4th boy really ups my anxiety levels which I have to hide from the hubby because we tried for another on the basis it could be another boy obviously and he knows I would love a daughter but I don't think this much.

Jc I read that if you ovulate on your right then your more inclined to sleep on your left which is a sign of a boy and vice versa, all old wives tales i know so who knows. Keep us guessing I suppose 😀 .. did you notice any difference with hair growth on your legs with your girls?

I can't say I've noticed any difference really in most of my hair growth although my underarms are growing a bit slower but with my boys I hardly had to shave at all which I thought was a girl sign but clearly not ! I did the baking soda test with my last boy two and that said girl and clearly was wrong I wouldn't worry about those tales although I knowin my last pregnancy I was hooked !

XX, I remember reading where you feel miserable if you eat more than 500 cals at a meal. Well...I think I'm with you! I'm bloated, gassy, nauseous and miserable if I eat too much at one sitting. Eating in general makes me feel icky but I have learned eating too much is horrendous. I haven't been prescribed anything for nausea as it hasn't been too bad. The past 2 days have been significantly worse (I'm 8w5d). I looked in my medicine cabinet for Zantac but not luck so I googled and found that Pepcid was safe so I just took one. Hoping it helps. I've never tried it for icky sour stomach/nausea before. Fingers crossed!

I'm also with everyone on the anxiety of finding out gender. I want a little girl so badly and I don't know how I will handle hearing boy again. My oldest is almost 6 and I'm really enjoying him playing basketball and baseball more than I thought I would. I've got 2 very boyish little boys and I like to think I'll really enjoy adding a 3rd to that if that's the case [emoji170] I have friends struggling to just conceive. I try to think of that often to remind myself how lucky I really am. It helps sometimes.

The nipt test is not on the NHS it's around £400-500 including a scan - u can find them in lots of private clinics online . I'm going Tuesday they have a 5 working day turnaround for results you have to be min 10 weeks - they call u with the results !

Anyone heard of the test Sneak Peek? It's less than $100 and you mail it in from home with a blood sample you collect and it just tells you the gender? It's supposedly very accurate. But...

I have to say I'm starting to hate old wives tales (when they don't work in my favour lol) my baby came from right ovary and looks like planted on right too although at 6 weeks 4 days there's no placenta to determine that yet. And I sleep on my left. So in theory I won't get my girl.
Been proper sick last couple of days not ms think food poisoning god it was horrendous I started having period pains when sickness eased off, I've been on edge all day!

There have been a few ladies in here over the years and the results from this test are hit or miss. It's been right for some and wrong mostly for others. I wouldn't waste the money on this test personally. If you can't afford a NIPT like Harmony, I would get a private scan at 15-16 weeks to see the gender.

Wow, poor women online completely believe in this test. I wasn't going to get it anyway because my OB offers a free gender US at 15 weeks anyway. And my insurance actually does cover the Harmony test but I'd rather just do the scan and find out at home, rather then a phone call honestly. I'm just so convinced this is a boy.

Awe, hang in there sweetie! You have a great chance to hear girl!

I do understand how you feel though. I just have a hard time believing that my DH and I can produce a girl, haha! If we do hear girl, part of me won't believe it until the delivery! Part of me also won't be surprised if this baby turns out to be a boy. It took us 11 month to get pregnant so at this point, I'm just ecstatic that the baby appears healthy!

Hello lovely ladies. Happy Mother's Day to all the UK ladies.
I am so sorry to hear that so many of us are suffering so much anxiety about gender. I am firmly believing this is a boy. I am starting to think this might be a viable pregnancy, but will not be surprised at a mmc either. a cold today and it really sucks. I have a sore throat and it is making my MS 10 times worse. UGH. I have not actually thrown up yet, but I could at any minute. Any suggestions on what I can take to help it. I did take some tylenol because the body aches were horrendous and my fever was getting higher. Hoping I can shake this soon without throwing up.

I don't think I noticed anything about hair growth. I think I was so convinced my DD2 was a boy that I found all of those wives tales to point to boy including hair growth. I don't think it's more this time than last, but to be honest I shave less often now too. Oops. Life with two and married to a resident... it will be quite interesting with three lol. I definitely did ovulate on my right side and sleep on my left though. The tech couldn't tell me where the placenta was at at 9 w though. She said it hasn't fully developed and taken over until 10w so she couldn't tell me. I guess time will tell. This pregnancy has definitely been way different though with feeling sick and so so tired but that could just be bc I have two kids already....

I honestly think this is another boy just based on the fact that I fell far too quickly like I did with my last ds - we tried once and I fell first time that's a bad sign when swayin I think .

Bb that dream sounds wicked lol I think if sonographer tells us it's a girl I would have to remain calm on the outide to show I'm happy either way then scream outside. Some days I really think it's pink but I make myself not believe it. I'm so tired to body is heavy eyes are heavy. Where as last mc I was hyper loads energy and other boys no difference in energy.
I don't know about you ladies but I so want a girl so I can stop the need to have more kids I don't think I would of had such a big family if I'd had a girl previously sad but true, and recently I feel there's not enough of me to go round for quality time and homework etc feel a failure so tearful today! BB If my last boy was a girl I definitely would have stopped and here we are having a 4th, I never thought I would have 4 .. there goes sun holidays out the window for a while, so stretched as it is. We love our weekends away and always went abroad once a year but even with the eldest not wanting to join us now it's to expensive what with moist room only sleeping 2 adults and 1 child. Not that it's the be all and end all lol sometimes I secretly loath people with one of each ha but then again not al mine were planned so maybe I would of had a brood anyway ha
My harmony test is 13 th April I'm scared of results. I remember getting 16 weeks scan with fourth and went as far as rebooking as I felt the scanner was incompetent as I didn't see the willy (god I turned into gd crazy lady) I love him to bits tho but that doesn't take over gd until he was actually born

I haven't gained any weight yet [emoji20]. With my MS, I have to eat no more than 500 calories per meal, otherwise I throw it up. If I eat too frequently, the nausea becomes horrendous. This is completely opposite of all my other pregnancies including my two miscarriages!

I hope you all feel better soon! I still feel sick once a day and can still throw up if I eat too much [emoji20]. Medicine doesn't help me unfortunately. Hang in there! It should let up soon 🤞🏻!

Had my 12 week scan today even though i'm technically only 11 weeks and a few days. It was so beautiful to see my little bubs on the screen...it's crazy but in that instant every thing seemed real about me being pregnant. So far everything looks as it should do and for that I'm thankful.

I've had an NIPT done with my last pregnancy. My hospital has a genetic counselor call with the results. They explain upfront that should there be an abnormal result, a follow up appointment with my provider will be necessary and the office will call to set it up as well as an amino or CVS to further substantiate the results. The gender is reported at the very end before the call is disconnected. Any questions I have will be directed to my provider.

I wish they mailed the results instead, but I guess it's good for people who are not familiar with this sort of thing. I just want to know the results already! I'm worse than a kid on Christmas morning, haha!

On a side note, I've been back and forth about getting the NIPT done but after speaking to my doctor today I'm back to doubting whether I will. If all's well on the NT and blood results (which I should know in 2 weeks) then she reckons I really don't need to and should spend that money on something else for the baby instead...of course I'm anxious to know the gender too but I can't help but think that maybe I should give team green a go since this is our last baby (although I said that the last time!) and have never been team green yet. I would go team green but think sub conciously would only be doing it so I can still think it may be a girl ! Where as finding out draws a line under the hoping and praying and obsessing! I think team green or not depends on your personality. I know that I would be initially disappointed when I find out it's a boy, no matter when that happens. So I won't take the risk of going team green, because when that little man is born he deserves to have all of my love and affection without the cloud of disappointment. For me to be ready to meet him as a whole person, not as what I got instead of the girl I wanted. So I want those weeks and months to come to terms with my GD before the birth.

On the other hand, lots of moms report no GD at all once they're holding a real, healthy baby in their arms. Just overcome with love. If you think that would be you, go team green! Honestly I think I'm more selfish than that.

Hello new and old friends :) I figured id pop in and join the long wait we all have for our bebes!!!

Update on me: I'm 13 weeks today (woohoo second tri!) morning sickness isn't great, but it's def better than with my daughter! I'm only nauseous in the morning and over bad smells like rotting food or stinky feet (hubby has nasty foot stink..)
So it's been incredibly manageable! So that gives me hope it could be a boy in there! No really good aversions other than sweets. I can do a little here and there, but I immediately have to cut it with something savory. Again, point for the blue! With my daughter all I wanted was chocolate and ice cream! Lastly- my ultrasounds look polar opposite so that makes me happy at least. Ramzi guesses are nearly all boy guesses, cmon ramzi!!! :p

Other than that I'm actually very much enjoying this pregnancy thus far for the most part. I am experiencing horrible headaches however. Never had that with my DD Rowan. And I'm SO exhausted I have step foot in my gym in a month and a half ugh.. but now that I'm officially in the second tri I'm hoping I'll get some mojo back.

Butterflies that ultrasound looks IDENTICAL to my DD!! I know that doesn't really prove anything! But you would think it's the same ultrasound! Girlie guess from me!!! :)

I should add I haven't thrown up this pregnancy!!! I gagged up a little bit once but it was because hubby had juiced his breakfast the day before and didn't clean it out.. so it was fermenting in the sink. So I walked in the house and gagged up a little. But I'm not counting it as throwing up ;) I was puking hourly with Rowan! I'll take this first trimester any day!

Hey ladies! I hope everyone is doing well especially those dealing with morning sickness. I have a couple of questions (I apologize in advance for the long post) I've had the same OB for 8 years but I have been looking for another doctor because after I did some research I learned that he should have offered me a trial of labor with the DS2 but he refused to even attempt a vbac and me being younger I didn't think to find another doctor. So I found a doctor that is willing to entertain the idea of a Vba2c. So when I found out I was pregnant with this baby (currently 4 weeks and 6 days) I went to the new doctor to have blood work done because of I had a mc before DS2. He said he wasn't going to do any blood work and then I explained that I had to take prometrium with both pregnancies to sustain them so he agreed to do the blood work but that whole night I couldn't sleep because I felt as though he didn't have the same sense of urgency that I did. So I called my first OB and scheduled blood work they got me right in and took my blood work. As I was leaving the doctor's office the new doctor called (it was actually him on the phone and not his nurse) and said that my levels were 492 for hcg and 22 for progesterone. That same day my old doctor's office called (the nurse) and said that my levels were 816 for hcg and 29.2 for progesterone. They both wanted me to come back on Monday for a follow-up. My old doctor called later on that afternoon and said that my hcg level was 4651 and my progesterone was around the same at 29.33 (which she said is awesome). The new doctor just called and said that my hcg level was 34something (I can't remember the exact number) and my progesterone was 17...WTH...why did it dropped and why wasn't he concerned? I don't want to have another mc. Now my question is which result do I go with? It's not like I can tell the new doctor that I've been going to my old doctor as well and their results are way different. (I had the blood work done within 2 hours of each other). Plus, I have to choose a doctor because my insurance is not going to pay for two doctors. So I have to decided rather quickly. I would like to mention that the new doctor understood that I was concerned and said that I can come in next week for an ultrasound so they can hear a heartbeat even though he normally doesn't do them until 8 weeks gestation. Any thoughts? I'm so conflicted.

XX and BB - I am so excited for you guys. Not lang now and you will find out! BB - such a cute baby and I to am leaning girl!

Nann - Hi and welcome! So happy to see another Team Green person here!!! If all goes well with this pregnancy, we will be team green too. But I know I will be searching for a nub on my 12w scan. ;)

ahorn - I am not sure what to tell you other than go with your gut. I will say that I have read that progesterone can change throughout the day, so that may be the cause. Also, different labs can have different reading for levels, so it is gets to compare numbers from the same lab.

afm - still so sick. I actually am having a hart time brushing my teeth (gross, I know) because it is a never ending cycle. Brush teeth, puke and repeat. Poor DH was so worried about me last night as I just could not stop dry heaving in the sink and he was trying to get out of my way to the toilet if I needed it (which he was sitting on waiting for me). I am having a hard time eating breakfast at all and then when I do I am super nauseous. Then if I eat a larger lunch, I am bloated, sick and not hungry at all the rest of the day. Vicious cycle. I need to try to eat smaller meals, but I get so hungry, I can't stop till I am miserable. And the flavor of what I ate will NOT go away. This sucks. Sorry to vent. :(

I would feel better if I did not have this feeling in the back of my mind that all is not well. I don't have my appointment with my Dr till 9w (currently 7w1d). I figure she will try to find the HB with the doppler. If one is not found, I will demand another u/s that day! I am tired of the waiting. I have not told the kids, work, or anyone other than a really close friend about the pregnancy. I want to tell my boss because he is super supportive and a good friend, but I just can't yet.

Also, has anyone encountered food aversions that are sudden? I baked bread the other night because it sounded good. Ate 3 bites and that was all I could eat without puking. And now I look at it and can't even smell it without gagging. I did this last night with an apple pie. Same thing. I have a strong desire to bake something and then can't eat it. So very strange.

Also, any ideas to help the ms. I am so sick today. I have tried pickles, sour stuff, peppermint candies, cinnamon candies, small meals (large meals do make it worse), not eating, crackers, ginger ale. Nothing is helping. And it is not all nausea. I have this overall yuck feeling. I just can't shake it. My poor DH keeps asking what he can do to help and I just tell him I don't know because I can't even pin point what is the matter.

Anyone else feel that way?

Here here!! The other day I spent hours in the kitchen making sushi (cooked) and by the time I sat down I had a couple of bites and I wanted to hurl. I had been craving sushi since right after BFP lol. The only thing I can really eat for sure is fruit. Everything else is hit or miss. Very frustrating. I just downed 2 bowls of lentil soup and feel icky.

I'm also team green. I may go get a nub shot, but still debating that.

Shannshaff I will totally be looking at skulls and nubs at my next ultrasound! Though I have to wait till 20 weeks for my next US!
:( and as far as ms, are you on unisom??? It is like a godsend for me. Not only does it help me sleep, but I guess the compound in it counters the preggo hormones throughout the next day. If I miss a night, I feel HORRIBLE the next day! But when I start again the next night, immediately I feel so much better the next day!

Ahorn - I agree with shann, go with your gut. And I have read it fluctuates throughout the day, which is why they make you wait at least 24 hours to test again, to ensure its at least doubled. So I wouldn't worry about your numbers! They sound great actually! WAYYY higher than mine at 4-5 weeks! I was only at 44 at 4+6! And then 137 at 5+2! I would worry about which OB you prefer.

I am having an early scan tomorrow (7weeks+5) & I am 100% that it will be another missed miscarriage. I still have no symptoms & the only symptom that I had (sore nipples) has dissappeared. Im just not sure what I will do next. 1 M/C was bad enough. Not sure that I can face 2 in 3 months. I dont know that I can bring myself to do the LE diet again but then I will always be wondering what if.....

Why are you counting down to third trimester?? Do you usually feel sick through second tri too? I am definitely counting down the days until 2nd tri and hopefully feeling better. I just recently started having this almost gagging sensation. Like not nauseas but like something coming up in my throat (I don't think it's my acid reflux) it's just a weird sensation that happens like all of a sudden. Thankfully I'm not gagging but just curious if anyone else has experienced this.

Hello everybody, sorry I haven't posted for AGES (wow, you're 12 pages in on a second thread). I have been through a very difficult time with my narcissistic mother sending abusive emails/texts etc - so haven't slept due to butterflies in tummy/brain working overtime (I'm a typical boy mum worrier) plus the nausea which is constant.

If this isn't a girl, I'll be pretty annoyed as it is my worst pregnancy by a million miles. I wish I was on the girl diet now as so easy not to eat any healthy or nutritious foods! All I want is to sip lemonade, eat chewy sweets (haven't craved them for years), chips and the occasional rice and steamed green veg. The rest of the time I can't stomach anything. My husband is getting really fed up as he wants to eat things with tomato sauce or spicy or at least some meat! I didn't really have any cravings during my 3 boy pregnancies and nausea only lasted a couple of weeks. I hope the baby will be OK because I don't feel s/he's getting much in the way of nutrients...

XX, for ds3 my sonographer definitely could tell he was a boy at the 12 week scan (I think I was 11wks 4 days). I said I was hoping for a girl and she said 'well, we can't always get what we want'. I knew then it must be another boy!

I sleep on my tummy. I can't sleep any other way and have to teach myself during the later stages of pregnancy to sleep on my side due to large bump/tender boobs. I struggle. I can't wait each time, to not be pregnant, just so I can sleep on my tummy again! This is probably the reason why two out of my three boys had anterior placentas and were back to back. I really hope this isn't the same.

I am not bothering with scan until 12 weeks (3 weeks away), as if I have a dating scan too, I have to pay for the 12 week one (cheapskate)!!!

Good luck all, sending anti-nausea, girly vibes your way!

I felt exactly like you - so so hungry needed to eat every two hours or the hunger pangs would hurt so much and make me more nauseous - like u said vicious cycle really - it goes get better but in time I'm 11weeks and the past 3 days haven't felt sick which is the longest so far I hope that's it now - so I can resume normal life !!
Sorry to hear lots of u are feeling so rubbish time is a healer !! Hang in there !! Xxx

Is light cramping normal at 5 weeks?

With my DS3, I cramped from 5 weeks until about 7 weeks. I also had a SCH that caused bleeding too. I was a nervous wreck the whole first trimester!

The cramping is totally normal, especially if you've had children before. As with other muscles in your body, the uterus has muscle memory from being pregnant before causing it to enlargen much earlier.

FX for a nice, sticky bean!!

XX - I am in the same boat. I am at work trying real hard not to throw up. I hate this overall yuck feeling and the severe nausea. I need to try some unisom if I can remember to get some. So tired I forget everything. Sadly, I am not looking forward to all of this. My last PG the ms lasted the whole time. :sigh:

I'm starting to feel a bit concerned about my lack of symptoms. A little nausea here and there, but nothing like a couple weeks ago and less tender breasts too. Hoping it's nothing, just a more pleasant first trimester than I'm used to.

Is it ok if I join you guys here? I've been kinda hesitant to say much and I haven't posted a sway just because I feel like I'm gonna jinx it and it really wasn't much of a sway by the time I got pregnant. Anyway I think I'm about 6 weeks 5 days with constant all day sickness that comes and goes. My first appointment is April 16! Honestly I feel like a lot of others here where I really don't feel like I could ever get my desired gender but then I kick myself for thinking that way cause well you know, the power of positive thinking and all [emoji15]

Congrats to all and good luck to those about to find out gender!!

Wantanother is it your intuition that's making u think boy?
It's hard not to read into symptoms relating to gender Aswell isn't it . Now my sickness is going (other than a little bit late last night ) I'm thinking boy again for me as apparently people are sicker with girls ? I def have been sicker but it's wearing off now which is nice but worrying .
I hope this month doesn't drag too much for u - try and keep yourself busy if u don't feel too rubbish xx

Heart rate was 165 & implanted on the right side, (ovulated from the left) & if Ramzi is correct that means boy again. I'm not sure how much I believe Ramzi though.

That is fantastic news KC! Now hopefully you can relax a little!

I don't believe Ramzi. I implanted on the left with DS3 and he is very much a boy! I even ovulated from the left side with him too.

I'm not sure what I'm having yet, but I ovulated from the left again this time and also implanted on the left side. The placenta is still there and hasn't moved as of my most recent scan!

Congrats KC, I'm so glad everything is ok.

I had an u/s today for an unrelated kidney condition and the tech was nice enough to take a quick peek at my baby while I was there. I'm only 6 weeks and it wasn't transvaginal, so she said that the embryo was too small to properly measure the heartrate but she could see it beating and she showed me the little white flicker on the screen that was the heart beating. I feel so much better knowing there's a heartbeat. Hopefully that means my odds of a m/c are slim now.

I have no real update other than the ms is really kicking my butt and I am so so so stinking tired. No bleeding or anything. I am pretty sure that implantation was on my right side since I have twinges and little pains in that area. I have a little hope that we see a hb at our next scan (whenever that will be), but I am bracing myself and DH for a mmc.

March 30th, 2017, 12:50 PM
Good luck for your first scans, ahorn and Robin! Shanshaff, I'm really hoping the fact that you still have bad MS and no further bleeding since your initial scare mean that you still have a healthy bean in there and you get to see a heartbeat soon.

Yes, BB. Purely intuition telling me this one is also a boy. Plus my 2 attempts 48 hours apart, with lots of ewcm. And second attempt very close to when I ovulated.
Also ramzi says boy, for whatever that's worth. I'm feeling pretty discouraged about it all really.

I've been feeling very exhausted, still nauseated from about noon to bedtime. So ready for this to let up.

I feel like our group has really grown. It might be fun to do like a little introduction? Like sharing where you are from, how many kiddos you have, what you do for work/SAH, and what team you are on... I'll start
We live in Salt Lake City, UT, USA for my husband's residency program. We have two beautiful daughters that I have the pleasure of staying at home with while I also am a personal trainer and health and wellness coach with AdvoCare. Great idea Jconger.

For those that don't know me. I live in Idaho, USA and I have birthed 5 boys. The first one I had when I was 19 and I gave him up for adoption. He is 22 yo now! My Oldest is 12 and from a previous marriage and lives with his Dad. I then have a 6yo, 4yo, and 21mo with my husband. The last pregnancy was a spontaneous triplet pregnancy (talk about shocker) that we sadly lost our ID twin girls at 11w. If this pregnancy is viable, (have had bleeding and non-doubling betas), it will be our last. We swayed for a girl. The 4yo is a failed IG sway and I swayed for the last pg which I consider a success because we did in fact have the girls in there too. So I hope it worked again.
I work for a highway district in the procurement office and my DH stays home with the baby. My DH has Cerebral Palsy and walks with crutches, so it is difficult for him to manage all of the kids. The older kids are in a daycare when not in school.

We swayed pink, but I don't hold out much hope. I just feel like an actual XX pregnancy isn't in the cards for me, no matter how much I want it.

A little about me: I am a high school science teacher, certified veterinary technician (animal nurse), certified pharmacy technician, medical science researcher, and environmental science researcher. I also like to make my own skin care products and hope to launch my products on Etsy in the next year or two after I have tested them.

Hi all, I live in perth, western australia. I have 2 boys - a almost 6yr old with high functioning autism & a crazy hyperactive 3yr old boy. We applied to got high tech & do gender selection due to my sons autism but it was rejected as we only had 1 boy with confirmed autism. (gender selection is illegal in australia other than for medical reasons). I ended up here after a friend told me about the group. She has has 2 successful pink sways so I am always hopeful! I work as a paediatric nurse educator & in my spare time I am a breastfeeding counsellor & girl guide(scout) leader. This will probably be our last baby regardless of gender. Hubby isnt keen for more than 3 & time isnt on my side.

I'm even working on blog to show others my triumphs and epic fails. This is probably our last but who knows, we've always wanted 4 children so we'll just see how things go. I swayed from July to January and decided to put ttc on hold until July but that didn't work out lol I'm currently 5 weeks and 1 day. I'm still hoping for pink but can't be too upset if its blue. I keep checking to see if you know yet so I imagine how impatient you are feeling!

I guess our parents / grandparents had no other option but to wait so they just had to be patient. When you know you can find out at a certain time it makes you get impatient sooner.

I'm a mostly SAHM, I also work at a rock climbing gym to keep me busy and active :) I also personal train and so photography in my other spare time!

I have one daughter who I thought for sure was a boy for no reason other than I wanted a boy [emoji23] how silly of me.. looking back it was the perfect girl sway and I had no idea cuz I'd never heard of swaying!

Currently 13+4 weeks pregnant with my second, swayed boy HARD for 4 months then slowly dropped a couple swaying tactics each month that I kept getting negatives.. 15 months went by and we finally got into a fertility clinic where we tried two IUIs and finally found success! So my sway was light, but promising. Iui sways boy slightly so that helps, I was eating much more calories. Lifting more, less cardio than ever. Bananas daily almost and alkalizing drinks. And then had a full moon the day after my iui! So all sorts of theories and myths in my favor. I'm staying positive:) team green! October can't come fast enough!!! [emoji24][emoji24]

Hey guys! What a great idea. I love reading about everyone.
We live in Ontario Canada. I am a currently a stay at home mom to 3 children. My boys are aged 9 and 6 and my daughter (successful gender sway) just turned 2. We swayed girl again for a little sister for my daughter. I love the idea of having the two older kids and the two younger kids. We are done having kids after this baby. 4 kids has always been my dream. no middle child and each have a partner to play with!
This time around took alot longer to conceive. 7 months. We were with a fertility clinic and we conceived with first round of clomid and trigger shot.
I don't feel confident this is a girl since I feel my sway was weak at the end and a psychic (same one who predicted my daughter) predicted this will be a boy.

I am a newborn photographer (part time) and it's safe to say I am obsessed with babies!

So today my Dr encouraged me to just get the Harmony test done. But at almost 12 weeks and my free gender scan in 3.5 weeks I'm like what's the point now? Many of the abnormalities would be revealed on US, except about 50% of the time for DS. So I declined for today. I'll think about it over the weekend. He said it's about 150-200 on our insurance....

What do you guys think?

I'm still feeling sick but not physically for over a week now - off on a date night tonight I hope I can make it through without feeling too rough !!

Wantanother... hmmm how do u feel about finding out early? Is it driving u that insane that u would like to know now or can u actually wait 3 weeks and save the money? How accurate is the next scan in 3 weeeks too ?

I am totally ok with waiting at this point. And the scan is April 26th so more like 3.5 weeks. At that time I'll be 15/3, so I'd feel comfortable with the results. I'd be more doing the test for the genetic components at this point, since it's so close to the gender reveal anyway.

I'm leaning towards not doing it for the reasons of the method of finding out being so not under my control. I'd rather find out at home with the info in an envelope, where I can bawl my eyes out this time rather then my last experience. Last time I was at work (in the hospital) and ran down really quickly to have them do a quick scan and ran back to work. I was so naive and didn't realize how gutted I would be to hear boy. I instantly had to reveal to all of my coworkers the news and pretend to be happy. I had to keep it together for almost 10 more hours when all I wanted to do was sob. Not again, I cannot bear it.

And the fact that I just KNOW it's a boy and I'm low risk for genetic anomalies....I'm leaning toward skipping it.

Funnily enough yes! Im usually always in t shirt around the house and little heating on or start sweating. Now I have freezing feet, feel cold and always in jumpers! And the weather is warming up so it is strange.

I also am suffering with bloating of my up abdomen after dinner etc and loads of heart burn after sandwiches. I'm so stuffed right now, distended stomach and feel sick I could just pop!

Ive also decided against the test for similar reason like wantanother..im going to have the gender scan at 16 weeks and get them to write in down and we will read it in the car. I think seeing him or her in 3d will also help if its a boy... im also freezing aswel but do get a hot flush now and then..constant bloating and feeling sicky...cant wait for my scan thursday i would be sooo happy if there were twins lol

Good afternoon ladies :)

Checking in for XX's results lol. I guess we have to wait until next week :)

AFM, I started bleeding today. I wasn't expecting it and of course I'm worried. Yesterday I felt sharp pains in my uterus and later on I felt some lower back pain and that was it. This morning we went out and did some shopping and when I came home I found a small stain on my undies so I did an internal check and got bloody fingers with some small clots. I had some cramps afterwards but the bleeding isn't picking up.

It is similar to what happened last month, but a bit heavier this time. I've been under alot of stress this past week and I wonder if it has something to do with it.

Those of you who have miscarried, what was your experience? Those of you who have bled throughout a pregnancy and had a healthy baby, what was your experience?

I can't see a doctor just yet so my only option is the ER if bleeding gets worse. Otherwise, I'm on my own until my midwife appt.

Oh Cosmosis, my heart goes out to you! I hope everything ends up ok!

With my miscarriage between DS1 and DS2, I just felt "off". I felt something wasn't right. I had mild pregnancy symptoms. I was 10-11 weeks and started having cramping. It felt like menstrual cramps and it radiated to my lower back. I had spotting that was bright red with tiny clots. This went off and on for two days. The end of the second day, the spotting got better but the cramping got worse. I finally had contractions and miscarried in the middle of the night.

With my DS3, I started having what I would call Braxton Hicks contractions at 5 weeks. I became worried when they intensified, but my doctor when phoned said this was normal and not to worry. At 5w3d, I noticed a silver dollar sized amount of red blood on my panty liner. It lasted for 3 days but never increased in amount. I had an early scan at 7 weeks that showed I had a small SCH (subchorionic hemorrhage). This happens when the embryo implants on or next to a blood vessel that ruptures in the uterus. The bleeding occurred again about 10 days after it had stopped when the scan from the initial SCH came off as the baby and the placenta grew bigger. The spotting was only pink that turned to brown for only 2 days. I ended up having no additional issues and gave birth to a sweet, baby boy.

I'm hoping and praying that this is not a miscarriage and just a small SCH that will soon resolve itself. 🤞🏻[emoji1317][emoji170]

BB it's hard to tell, I think I was the same sickness with all 3 boys, I think I may even have been a bit worse with them and I remember it disappearing all together at 14 weeks. I'm not getting physically sick but I have that nauseous/sick feeling in my stomach all day ... uggggh hopefully tomorrow is a bit better.

Thank you ladies <3

I took an epsom salt bath and feel a bit more relaxed. I haven't had any spotting go onto my pad as of yet and no bleeding when I was in the bath.I just feel a bit of soreness in my uterus but no cramping. I would be more relaxed about it if I didn't see little clots.

I'll keep everyone updated. Hopefully it doesn't progress.

Erin514

Oh no, Cosmo I'm so sorry you're having bleeding again. FX everything is okay.

When I had bleeding with DS2 at 10 weeks, there were no cramps, but I was still very worried because it was more than just a bit of spotting. It was like a very light period, bright red, that lasted about half a day. They were never able to tell me what caused the bleeding but I had been under stress, plus I later learned I had a low-lying placenta. DS2 was totally fine and I didn't bleed again.

My third pregnancy that ended in miscarriage, the bleeding started out similar (light, bright red, no cramps), but never stopped and by about 24-36 hours later I was passing clots and having very severe cramps so it was obvious I was miscarrying. I also had very few pregnancy symptoms prior to the m/s. Not very much nausea, etc.

I hope everything is ok. Would you want to go to the ER to get a scan and ease your mind?

Shannshaff
April 1st, 2017, 05:50 PM
Sorry Cosmos. I know bleeding is scary. With DS1 I bled light spotting bright red at 4w, 5w and 7w. We never knew why.
With my last MC it started with spotting and them increased with heavy cramping.
With this pg (outcome still unknown) I had 5 days of light to medium flow with cramps. They did say I have and sch that could explain the bleeding.

I had morning sickness until week 14-16 ish with DS1 (not that bad, but I did vomit fairly regularly, and I lost weight in the 1st tri). I was really worried it would last all pregnancy but it DID finally go away. I hope you are nearing the end of this!

AFM, I didn't have anymore bleeding yesterday. It never made its way to my pad, just when I wiped and it turned brown fairly quickly. I have tons of discomfort in my lower abdomen/uterus area though. I had to take tylenol last night and even then, I could still feel it. Maybe all of this is a growth spurt? I've been starving at night and frequent urination has kicked in full force, which has me getting up at lest 4 times during the night, if not more. This started about 3 days ago.

Hope everyone had a better day!
