Also what is your ladies take on the moon thing? Our moon signs say girl (Ash did you check yours) but I've heard two versions of the moon phase.
1. Between 3/4 moon and 1/4 moon is girly because its close to either side of new moon

OR

2. From 1st day of new moon to day before full moon is girly and 1st day full moon to day before new moon is blue

Okay so what you do is add how old you were when you conceived and what the year was. If the number comes out odd it's a boy if it's even it's a girl. Do it with your previous pregnancies also so we can see how much accurate it is. Mine is.

Me too!!! Here's a link to the youtube video that shows how to do it really well! And the wedding band test is using a strand of your hair pit it through your wedding band, lay down and hold the ring using your hair over your tummy. If it goes up and down or side to side it means boy and a circle means girl :) also pick up a key blindly. If you pick up by the head its boy, the base is girl and the middle is twins.

Holy cow, this thread grew :D

I've been MIA pretty much whining in a ball from hideous nausea and sickness on top of a head cold. (I have a flair for the dramatic these days!)

I'm six weeks tomorrow, it seems to be flying by. First scan is in a week, curious to play around with Ramzi theory. We won't be finding out for sure though so heck of a long wait for us. Hubby told me his prediction last night based purely on my aversions/sickness. :D

Actually, I hadn't correlated anything mostly because my brain is apparently mush lately but I've only ever been hideously sick with my girl. I tend to fly through with boys. And my aversions are coffee and anything sweet, particularly chocolate. Which again only ever happened with my girl. My head is screaming boy though so *shrug*

Ok this pencil thing is bizzare. It did indeed count my boys, then switched to a circle (for a few rotations) then boy again then moved into an up and down sway and a circle. I'm having a velociraptor aren't I? :nails: (it also should be noted that I only watched like a minute of the video so I'm probably doing it wrong! Haha!)

Pbn Mayan chart also gives a table. Is it correct?
because when I am calculating by even and odd then both are even so its a girl.
But table is saying its a boy.

Never seen the chart before Sumbal but combined with the table it gives us a 50/50 shot of either gender as this says boy for me but the table says girl 😂😂😂😂😂😂 lets call the chart bogus and go with the table 😂😂 it's not bogus at all though because it tells at least some of us what we want to hear 😂😂😉😉

I got know about my daughter by ultrasound in 22 Week scan. But I do not have idea about NIPT. I will ask my doctor for sure.
It's good to know each other. nothing is offensive. I would love to share my experiences here with you guys FX

Yeah it's expensive here in Australia too. Not sure if I'd get a pensioners discount 😂😂😂 in all seriousness though I'm going to give it a miss. We do a blood test for downs at 10 weeks then those results are combined with the 12 week scan results. I'm not finding out gender so its not worth it money wise (the nipt). Our private health and my ob and ultrasounds costs enough as it is!!!

How is everyone feeling? I wish my nausea and sore bbs would just stick around instead of coming here and there. I wake up with it but it seems to fade off during the day. Hoping once I get to 6 weeks it'll be strong and staying around. Oh no Ash!!! What it is with avocados?? I asked dh when he went out earlier to get me one then rang and changed it to a vegetable soup 😂 I'm abit miserable this morning as I'm back in my 'fat shorts' [emoji24] after putting on 6-7kgs in the last few months. Anyway he came home with soup and not one but two avocados. So now I'll have to eat both over the next couple days 😂😂 I'm trying to lose a few kilo by just eating better and not snacking. I got to my biggest after ds2 and just don't want to go there again. But for now I have two delicious avos to eat so I'll start my eating plan next week 😂

Pbn I feel the same as you. I feel great in the morning but fade fast starting at about 3:30 in the afternoon. I can't keep my eyes open and the nausea until about 6-7pm. My bbs aren't sore at all. Just heavier and feel full.
Ash - my god the amount of avocados and guacamole I've been consuming is insane. And so good!

I'm constantly hydrating myself but the constipation this early is something else. So yea, gas in the evenings over here as well. I have a big work trip all next week. I'm hoping and praying that my nausea stays away and I keep some of my morning energy or I'm going to be in trouble!

Don't despair about weight! I put on 10lbs from being depressed about not getting pregnant before getting my BFP. Well my SIL came home for Christmas, and she is a Sommelier (wine expert). Needless to say, she kept me medicated while she was home, haha! Then I got my BFP 1.5 weeks later. At the 6 week mark, I got SO sick! I puked multiple times a day and was horribly nauseous all day long. This lasted until week 15!!! Nothing helped. No medication worked. I could only eat 300-500 calories per meal. That's it. I lost 20lbs!!! At 20 weeks, I've only gained 8-10lbs which means I'm still down from where I started. I'm ok with that, since I had that to spare anyway!

My point is- this early weight gain is GOOD! It's good to have a reserve in case your MS gets this bad! Trust me! I had a friend who had to be hospitalized for 10 days, because she got so sick and lost weight she didn't have to spare!

Sumbal try and take it easy. I've felt so many cramps and pulling and twisting. It's so hard not to worry but it could simply be the uterus responding to the bodies hormones.

I'm going to ring my obs office tomorrow to find out if I need a new referral to see her and if so will make an appt to see a gp for it the following week. Cant wait for things to get undeway! I'm 5 weeks tomorrow by o but only 4w5d by lmp.

I had my first scan already and saw the heartbeat and a little ball at 6 and a half weeks but that was just through the public xray/ultrasound places for a dating scan because of having PCOS with 6 week cycles.
This next one will be the second scan but first one with my ob in his practice.
Pbn3- I'm really annoyed because I want to know and also if I'm disappointed that it's another girl, I'll have adjusted to it rather than just be in the birthing suite. I know people say you wouldn't be disappointed with a baby right there after birth but if it isn't your sway then you would feel some slight disappoint and I'd hate to feel that when I know I would.

To be fair, most people choose to refer to their unborn baby as he or she and not "it" :p DH and I have always referred to this little bean as "he" and we don't know the gender :)

You don't have to tell you know [emoji6]. I told my DH back when I first got my BFP that I was going to find out regardless if he wanted to or not. He said he didn't want me to book a private scan, and I told him I didn't need to. I would have the tech write it down and put it in an envelop that I would open later. That is if he was able to come to my scan. He has a busy job and can't always make my appointments. Where there is a will, there is a way [emoji6]! Needless to say, he caved and wanted to know when I got my NIPT results back, haha!

Dh and I were talking about names and he's totally brushing off boy names and keeps picking girl names [emoji50] I'm a bit surprised he's doing this but maybe he has a gut feeling. He says I have 9months to pick out a boy name.
Sumbal I have a friend who has a friend who works for Exxon Mobil and they were working there. A couple of us girls went and visited and worked in an orphanage for a while. It was fun and a great experience to explore a different culture

Would they give you a scan to try and find heartbeat? I have seriously not been nauseous but a couple times and my boobs never seem sore until the end of the day. I sure hope all of us keep these babies I love sharing this experience with you all!

Pbn I understand how you feel. I haven't had nearly as much loss as you but I am so wary this time that every time I feel good, I question the viability of this pregnancy. I have been feeling good more than bad which is so far very different from my other pregnancies. So I POAS this morning just to put my mind at ease and saw my line was darker than the control line. I know it's not really an accurate assessment of how things are but made me feel a little better.
I'm thinking of you every day and hope for your peace and baby's health.

Lol near death experience I like it!
I told my parents and they told my brothers we were expecting. I told my parents we weren't telling anyone yet because I haven't been very sick or had many symptoms so I wanted to wait until my first dr visit. Well my 20 year old brother doesn't understand lol womanly things so when I talked to him today he didn't realize it was a for sure thing. I tried to explain it the best I could but he says at the end of the convo well I really hope you get your girl this time ❤️ made my day

I was only on the LE diet for 7 weeks before O day. But I did go full vegetarian with a couple cheats the week of O. So it's not as long as recommended. But because it's taken us so long to ttc this one(9mos), I didn't care and became more emotionally open to boy or girl just to get pg.

Yes I did with every one of them. It was different with all some I just felt nauseous all the time. One I threw up every morning then I was fine. One I was nauseous all the time and never had any relief. This time. Nothing. Hardly ever

Ash, I was the same as you and just nauseas throughout both of my boy pregnancies with no relief. So this is foreign. I'm finding I crash at 3pm everyday though and have to sleep. It's a feeling of being uncomfortable more than just nausea.

Ash I'm just leaving now for appt. Its 9.45am. Appt is at 10.30. Bbs even less sore this morning, no nausea again and I'm starting to not feel pregnant anymore. Going to ask for 48 hours bloods again and I'll get my referral for ob and 7 week scan just in case things turn out ok. Wow! I feel like I've just spent the last hour or so in the 'Twilight Zone'....

Not sure if anyone remembers but my usual gp is away till June so another doctor wrote the request for my bloods last week. So I booked to see her today. I get in there and tell her my symtoms seem to be fading since yesterday so could she write me another set of 48 bloods as well as the initial blood screening plus the referrals. This is where things got weird..... we had just gone through my mc history and she says to me 'are you trying to have a girl?' WTF!!!!!!!!! I said I couldn't care less if the baby was genderless as long as it stuck. She had a giggle then went on to tell me about when her cousin got pregnant she only wanted a girl and flat out did not want to have a boy. When her aunty (my doc's mother) told her she looked like she was carrying a boy her cousin booked an abortion but changed her mind. Meanwhile I'm shocked at where our consult has gone 😮 and said 'well it's out of your control what gender you have' to which she replied 'actually you can choose what gender you have. It's common practice in my country (Iran) there are cleanses (I bet she's referring to douching) and foods you can eat that are scientifically proven to choose gender. So now I'm thinking to myself hmmm I wonder what your username on gd site is 😂😂😂. I said to her then well there must be opposites regardless because otherwise there'd be problems with gender ratio to which she replied she thinks it's an unethical practice anyway.....end of consult.
I got my blood taken, went out to the car and burst out laughing!!! I even pinched myself to make sure I wasn't asleep and didn't dream that whole whacky appointment 😂😂😂

I should have my results in about 3-4 hours hopefully.

Ash I have no idea!! Maybe because I have two boys? I still cant believe she asked that right after we discussed my miscarriages!!!!! So inappropriate! I may have started this two years ago wanting a girl but after what's happened I just want a healthy bub.

Yes, I completely understand! I'd absolutely love a girl but I'll be perfectly happy with a healthy baby #5. But I think you have a fantastic chance at your girl!

Ugh, I forgot the pics at the office. But all looked good! We just scheduled one of my daughters for tonsil surgery day after tomorrow, and I was distracted.

So glad to hear your scan went well srg!! And sorry to hear about your daughters upcoming surgery. Xxforhubby went through this with one of her ds's a little while ago. I'm sure she'd be happy to chat if you have any questions :) There's also another lady whose child had this done recently but I'm not sure she's told anyone so I won't mention her name but if she sees this she may mention it :)

How old is your dd srg? My son had his taken out when he was 5 it was rough for about 4 days but then he was ok after that. The medicine is the worst trying to get them to take it! He didn't understand it's hard going down but it makes the pain go away for a while. I'll be thinking of you! Sleep is hard for a few days for you and the little one [emoji20]

My daughter is 5, and she understood enough of the appointment to have her worried face on the rest of the evening. We suspected she would be scheduled for surgery but didn't expect such a quick date!

Did she have tonsillitis a lot? My son had it around 5x one winter! We had them removed and now he gets it still but only once a year! It is scary but my only advice is stay on top of the pain medicine even if she says she doesn't hurt you don't want it to get to the point of hurting before giving it. Good luck to your family
