Hi all,

We are officially attempting this month! Yay!

I'm CD12 and we last Bd on CD9 and are planning to bd tonight.

My opks today are getting significantly darker but not yet positive. Should we bd tonight and if opk positive tomorrow bd 3 times as well?

Also what should we do if opk is dark but not positive tomorrow? Skip tomorrow & do 3 attempts once positive is confirmed?

My guess would be wait and do 3 attempts when its positive if you are bding today. I am also swaying blue and still learning a lot. I bet someone else will clarify soon. Good luck.

So excited for you! Tons of blue dust headed your way!

I think I answered this in a different post already but since you have not BD since CD 9 my inclination is for you to BD tonight in case you miss your OPK, and then keep testing. If you still don't get positive OPK tomorrow, you may want to do every other day or so (IF you think your hubby can keep up with it, that is) or every 2 days and then keep testing with the OPK trying to get in the 3 attempts still if you can. If you do get the pos oPK, and you have to miss out on one of the attempts that's all still ok since you've been BD regularly.

I'm pretty sure I'm out - looks like AF has just started [emoji26] I'm starting to believe something is wrong with my LP phase - previous months has been 8-9 days with + opk on d17. This month I had +opk d13 so thought my LP would be longer but nope! Going to chat to GP about getting progesterone I think.

If anyone else has any advice im all ears

Oh, I'm sorry boywish! So still same total CD but with a short LP?

Are you taking B6 at all? I know lots of people have good luck with it lengthening their LPs (myself included), but I know atomic has been iffy on it before (though I can't recall offhand why -- it might alter things too much, maybe?)

Thanks TP :-)

No its made my cycle only 21 days (which happened the cycle before last).

No b6 other than what's in my prenatal - may be worth looking into (might see if I can find some of Atomic s posts on it)

Thanks for the suggestion!

Taking high doses of B6 really made people's cycles go nutty and didn't help with their LP anyway (what I find is that B6 "fixes" people's LP in 3-6 months, and then people who don't take it find their LP gets better in 3-6 months without it!) So you can very easily end up with a delayed O and still a short LP, and in fact this is what happens the majority of the time!!

The amount of B6 in a prenatal is enough. you don't need more. If you want to play with it that's fine, but no more than 50 mg max and WEAN OFF after BFP, do not just stop taking it as that may cause miscarriage.

RE prog supps, the unfortunate truth is that they're a placebo. They aren't really doing anything to help people get and stay pregnant (and this has been pretty definitively proven in studies). So you can go onto them of course but it may not change anything. To be honest, the best fix for a short LP is Clomid. I know people swaying blue are scared of Clomid since it may swya pink, but if you're doing tons of other things to sway blue I do think it's something to consider.

Thanks Atomic for the guidance!

I'm not sure what's happening the bleeding has fizzled out to nothing - could it have been implantation bleeding?

I guess will find out soon enough - AF is technically due Wed. If it's a BFN I'll visit my GP to discuss options re clomid

So I think I spoke too soon - took a hpt this morning and we have a BFP!!! [emoji15]
The bleeding does worry me somewhat - hoping it was implantation bleeding - will see GP for bloods after Easter break here - AF due Wed fingers crossed she stays away!

Happy Easter to those who celebrate!
