Sorry if the weight talk bothered you. :) I'm actually obese by bmi, so managing my weight is an important consideration for me during pregnancy. I can go elsewhere to talk about that.
(eta: Sorry if that reads as abrasive! It's not supposed to be.)

Same here :) I was already obese before my sway so I have to be sure I stay the same or lose if possible in the next 6 months.

Don't feel like you have to go elsewhere! We all can talk about what is on our minds. I'm actually worried about my weight too. I was at a normal BMI prepregancy, but I lost so much weight over 14 weeks that even with my 3lbs weight gain, I'm underweight BMI wise [emoji20]. My doctor isn't worried, but I am!!

I ALWAYS gain 40 pounds while pregnant ... however for my height (5ft1) I should really only gain 25 or so my midwife says. This time around I started off 10 pounds heavier than before my daughter and I really am going to try and stick to that 25 pound mark. I don't know how people do that though? Lol
My babies are usually almost 9 pounds!

They do it by staying active (usually lots of walking) and not eating for two. In most cases, the massive weight gain comes from free for all type of eating which is instilled in our culture, mainly foods that aggravate insulin resistance, which pregnant women are prone to during 3rd tri. I didn't even bother looking at the scale with DD, I had NO idea how much I gained lol. I didn't have food aversions with her though nor did I have this yucky nausea, but I ate like crap before I got pregnant and continued doing so during pregnancy.
Speaking of different symptoms. I talked to my midwife today and she said that a different gender and/or a different partner can most definitely be the cause of my very different symptoms this time around. So yes, genes do play a role as I suspected.
Question: Did any of you experience headaches or migraines during the 12th and 13th week? I've had a migraine for 2 days now and its a killer :( it gets weaker at some point of the days, but it is there and threatening to get stronger on and off. I'm wondering if its the transfer to placenta happening?

I'm 5'2"!! So I'm super conscious about my weight cuz 10 lbs extra looks like 30 on me.. [emoji849][emoji849]
I gained 35 with my daughter and took the whole two years to take it off. I finally got down to pre-pregnancy like THE WEEK the iui worked LOL of course. But I'm happy I got down even though I didn't look the same, babies change everything..
So I'll be happy if I can keep it to 35 this time too. At most. I started at regular bmi as well which helps.

YESSSSS a million times yes I had a headache for 6 days straight. Called my doctor and they just said to drink pop... I'm like I never had caffeine before!!! It's not about caffeine!
Talked to my doc in my next appt and she just said eat more drink more water and drink caffeinated pop or coffee.. ZERO help.. [emoji849][emoji849]

Caffeine in theory helps with migraines, but in my experience to get legitimate relief I need waaaay more than is appropriate during pregnancy- more like a couple of energy drinks in quick succession.

Ok I have a dumb thing to post about... so I had my first OB appointment today and I feel like I've set myself up to maybe be disappointed... I know I have posted about this before so please humor me if you have heard this cause it's been years. I once read an article that stated the shape of your uterus at 8/9 weeks could determine the gender of baby. Now don't get me wrong, I am well aware that this sounds ridiculous and there doesn't seem to be any scientific data to back it up but I read this theory before my last failed sway and immediately felt discouraged because my uterus was shaped for the boy. Then I had my third boy. Well my uterus is shaped the same this pregnancy so I feel boy number 4 is on the way... anyway I know it's dumb, but maybe you could ease my concern? The theory says that if she shape is circle at 8/9 weeks then it's a girl and if it's more like a banana then it's a boy. Unfortunately I have seen this be true through several close friends pregnancies so that is another thing that has me worried...
Sorry if this makes no sense but can I see some of your early ultrasounds (8/9 weeks) from those of you that know gender to help ease my fears??

Yes this theory seems a little crazy since it's hard to really know the shape of the uterus this early on. It's so low early on. I mean I'm showing now but that's just because my body remembered this business... not because my uterus is higher yet or anything... an interesting idea

Anyway I'm overweight bmi 29 and I moan a lot about it but still eat whatever I crave ha ha
I keep having horrible dreams that wake me up and I don't know if is real. Last night I dreamt a massive tarantula was crawling up my bedroom door, next minute I'm actually sitting on end of bed staring at the door. I'm waking up with damp pjs where I've sweated so much all over. I'm now 11 weeks has this happened to you or anyone? Not the tarantula obviously lol

Hi ladies, just got caught up. Carziness!
Happy Belated Easter to all those that celebrate.
I had a busy Easter weekend and then had 2 days for sitting on a Jury. Crazy!!!
I have still been sick as can be and getting really tired of it. I get a headache that starts about lunchtime and gets worse till bed. I have found that if I eat small meals often I am better, but have still had to take a Zofran once in a while just to get relief. I was supposed to have my first midwife appointment on Monday, but that got postponed a week because of the Jury Duty. I am scheduled for my NIPT test and counseling on the 8th. (I will be 13w) I am getting the testing done, but will not find out gender. I just want to make sure baby is healthy since I am "geriatric pregnancy" age. I am showing quite a bit, but already had a bit of a tummy poking out, so I am sure not many can tell. I told MIL on Sunday and she was really excited. I told my Mom yesterday and surprisingly, she was excited too. She keeps saying this is her granddaughter. I had to remind her that we don't know and she was stir crazy that we are not finding out. I think that is part of the fun for DH and I to be team green! We now just need to tell the kids. I was hoping to tell them at the midwife appointment because it is supposed to be a scan as well, but plans changed. :( We might just have to tell them without a surprise. It is a relief that all who we were going to tell know now. I was worried about the reactions because this is baby #5 for us and that is a large family for all of us.
I found out last night how much regret my Mom had with not having a 4th child. She really wanted 4 and I was the 3rd. I was born at 32w and she almost lost me. She was too afraid of what would happen because they told her she would go early again if she had another. So she understands my need to have just one more and feel complete.
Oh, btw - is anyone else just super emotional? I am crying at everything all the time. I am usually not like this. It is just crazy.

Me! I still am! I get touched up super easily! I also get frustrated/mad easily too! I also had headaches more frequently in early pregnancy. I hope you get to feeling better soon!

I'm not really sure what it's called... I just remember reading it and it stuck with me. It's supposed to be the shape on ultrasound with transvaginal. Anyway like I said, it's dumb but doesn't get out of my head! Baby looked good.... measured right on target with LMP and heart rate of 173!

I wouldn't worry about the shape on the picture this early. Remember they press on your belly to get a closer image and surely that distorts things.

I have a pregnant friend who's dying to know the gender. She's 11 weeks and had an ultrasound. To me it looks like a boy nub. . But do they all look the same at that age or can they look diff?

Just had my 9 week ultrasound. They are terrifying me bc the baby heart rate was 178 and they think that's high and can indicate something going on. I have to go back in a week.
The baby was moving around in there. So cute but now I'm scared.

Hmm. The before the latter part of 12 weeks both genders look the same because the sex organs haven't developed from the tube they form from yet. That being said, is she for certain on her dates? That to me, would be the only way it would look boyish. Anything is possible though!

Robin, the nub to me looks flat and forked, but smaller than you would expect a pink nub to be at 12.5-13 weeks. It looks exactly what I would expect any baby at 11 weeks to look like- flatter than a "boy" nub but shorter than a "girl" nub. It's just a bit too early to reliably guess, I think.

This baby is a huge mover! I had no idea they moved so much at this stage. He has a few breaks during the day, but he's at it all day! and much more right after I eat lol. I'm really enjoying this part, I didn't get much feeling with DD until about 5/6 months. I've felt this little one for 3 weeks now, the ultrasound I got confirmed it XD
Migraine seems to have left, but the nausea and queasy stomach has been around all day in its place *sigh* can't win.
Robin, I can't believe they scared you like that! SO terrible!
Alright, I wanna discuss heart rates for a bit. Who here had boys with a "high" heart rate? My little one was at 165bmp during the ultrasound on Monday. Wondering if there's anything really to that.

Cosmosis- all of my boys were below 140 and my girl has been 150-170 consistently. Usually she is between 150-165. When she is sleeping, it goes down to 137-140. She doesn't like the Doppler, and kicks/punches it causing her heart rate to go up.
I think I'm the exception though. I think plenty of others had boys with high heart rates.

My last bit had higher heart rate I remember one 158 and another 165 I obsessed wanting him to be a she lol but probs just another old wives tales.
According to old wives tales I'm literally half and half so far on the ones I've looked at and tried so surely I can't be having a boy and a girl there's only one lol

Cosmosis i dont have personal experience but can tell you all the ladies i know with boys in real life all had FAST heart rates..150-170 their whole pregnancy.
Nann3r, DD3 was always 130-140..140 when she was active 130's when she was sleepy...DD4 was 140-150 the whole pregnancy. DD1 was always 150-160 and DD2 was always 170..she used to scare me cause she never seemed to settle..it transfered to her after womb life though so at least now we know whats up with that..she has had anxiety from a very very young age. Who knows if thats why her heart rate was so high in utero but good reason to believe so now.
ps nann3r..your dd1 is GORGEOUS..what beautiful hair!!!!!

I have one in school, and my DS2 is old enough where I can set him up with a safe project to do to keep him busy for 20min. He is extremely independent, which is perfect! I nap when my DS3 goes down after lunch. When my DS2 was younger, he would take his afternoon nap when my DS3 took his second nap. I always get my youngest child to take their second nap when my older one takes their nap. It takes about 2-3 weeks postpartum to get the younger one there, but they do!

Good luck, lady Tara, hope to get a good update from you soon.
For you ladies who got the NIPT, did you get any hassle when requesting the gender? In Canada they will not reveal gender from an NIPT test unless you have a doctor's note specifically saying you need to know the gender. The purpose is to avoid selective abortion in early pregnancy, I guess. I'm wondering if any of you who needed a doctor's note had a hard time explaining why you needed to know the gender or if they will just sign off without any problem.

I'm in Quebec, yes. It might be really easy, I just noticed that if I look up prices for Harmony, all the clinics specify that they don't release gender information without a doctor's note.
I still haven't even decided if I'm going to get it or wait until the anatomy u/s. My first midwife appointment is in two weeks so I need to decide and get the requisition then if I'm doing it...

I am 12.5 weeks, feel like[emoji90], had the panorama test done because of my 'advanced maternal age', all came back low risk and after 3 boys, I'm going to have to retire my 'BOY MOM' shirts, CAUSE WERE HAVING A GIRL! I'm in a 6 hour time difference being in Hawaii. Back home, I was most nauseous starting from 5-6pm until bed time. Well, I'm not sure if my body just hasn't caught up or if it's going to stay this way for the remainder of my trip but I feel awful around lunchtime through the afternoon. It makes sense because my body thinks it's evening.
Ladies with multiple pregnancies...my MS ended at or before 12 weeks with my DS1 and lasted until 14-15 weeks with my DS2. I'm worried that this time it's going to last even longer! Anyone experience this?
I'm so over the nausea! [emoji30] I'm just past the 12 weeks mark and no relief yet.

Congrats TaraSue! How wonderful to be finally getting your girl!!!
For me the nausea has stayed longer and longer each pg. The last one It stayed till the end. :( I fully expect it that way again. If I could just get a few hours a day without having to think hard not to puke, it would be a relief. Oh well. All for a good cause. Poor DH just looks at me and always asks what he can do to help and it is tough because I have no idea what helps. I do know the afternoon headaches are making it worse. I wish I could figure those out. I have a midwife appointment on Monday and will ask to see it they have any ideas. I have my Harmony and NT scan scheduled for the 8th. I will be 13w so I hope to get a good nub shot. But we will not find out gender with our Harmony test. I am just praying for healthy since I am old!

Tarasure did you post your sway? what did you do for your sway???
I did not post a sway. We weren't trying to have another baby, this was a giant OOPS!!! I was on the pill, drinking a lot and eating minimally. I wasn't taking very good care of myself, so this baby is kind of a blessing getting me out of that unhealthy rut. I know there was only one attempt, because she and I were not getting along and only dtd about once every 2-3 weeks. There is my sway!!!

(((HUGS)))) Sorry you are feeling sad ladytara. Praying he is a healthy little boy! I know you will love him so much.
To answer your question, I will guess and have a good idea I think, but we will not get confirmation of gender until the baby is born. My DH absolutely loves to be the one to tell me what we have once the baby is born. So I will give him this gift one last time! I am wavering as to if I feel it is a girl or a boy, but with all we have been through so far I know I will love this little one no matter what and that it is definitely our last.

Baby's heart rate was 179 today so that gives a little hope if I'm putting stock in old wives tails. DS1 was always fast though.
Honestly I'm bracing myself to hear blue again. I don't know that a fourth child is a viable option for us, so I'm still looking at all the cute girly stuff just in case this is my last chance to hope.

So I just went into a baby clothing store with my oldest son and it took all my might to Not start crying while looking at baby girl clothes. I literally had tears in my eyes. I still haven't heard the gender from my panorama scan but I just have this overwhelming feeling it's a boy. Obviously i'll love him more than anything but it hit me just how hard it's going to be for me to not shop for a little girl again etc.
I needed to vent bc I know you guys can understand just how hard this is for all of us.

I can't believe I'm 17 weeks today! Time feels like it is flying by and some days I feel like it's going to be ages until I meet our last baby! Well it's official now- MS has left but has left sour stomach in its place. I have to take a Zantac once a day now in the late afternoon. I think it's because she is higher up and my stomach is squished. Normally this happens to me later on like in at the start of the third trimester. I'm still super emotional! There was a complete marathon today where we live (a full, half, and 10k like in Boston). It runs throughout our town. Well the first runners came through, and I got touched up! It was 2 gentlemen from Uganda that are using this as one of their qualifying races. It was so amazing seeing them! They looked like graceful gazelles! Can you imagine the athleticism to be able to run a full marathon at a 2min-3min/mile pace?! Sorry for rambling!
I hope everyone is doing well!

I totally understand! I am convinced this will be DS#3 & I have even picked out a name. In a way I think this will help soften the disappointment. I cant even bring myself to look at any girl things now  This pregnancy is so very different but those that do know I am pregnant are all convinced that it is a girl & that just makes the GD worse. I am having my bloods on monday but wont have the results for 2 weeks as they have to be posted to america. Ridiculous! The pamphlet even said it was done in australia but the lab confirmed that they only take the bloods on mondays as they post to america on wednesdays. Crazy that in 2017 we are still sending things overseas. FX for you both ladies.

Hi Ladies
I know a few of you are coming up to finding out gender or just have. I think acknowledging that it could be girl or boy and embracing options for both whether it be name or some gender neutral colour clothes. Maybe you want to do the nursery or something. I think this helps to prepare rather than thinking hearing boy or girl is the worst outcome. It will still be your beautiful baby in the end.
I remember clearly the anxiety and stress leading up to finding out. I wish I had someone to tell me to stop, embrace the baby what will be will be. And enjoy. Particularly if this is your last pregnancy.
I also know how hard it is to do that. I remember often the overwhelming heaviness in my chest until i found out, to the point it felt like it was all i could think about or i would stress eat. But i still carry that heaviness now as i still haven't got my dd.
I wish i focused more on the pregnancy and baby rather than work myself up over the gender. Yet i know that is ultimately why we are here for and i understand its in the forefront of our thoughts always.
Once again i know how hard that is to do. I wish we could all get our desired genders and end some of the feelings of longing or guilt that we carry.
I send luck and wishes to you all.

Hi wantanother well I am 16 weeks this Wednesday so I could find out through a gender scan which is only 80 euro but a part of me likes the idea of not knowing and thinking for another little while longer that It might be a girl .. basically I don't want to face reality and the realisation it's another boy which I'm fairly certain it is! So I'm in no rush to find out and a little scared to be honest so going to put it off... until im ready whenever that may be! Otherwise this may be a looooong pregnancy

Unfortunately I am not enjoying this pregnancy at all - not because of GD but because I am just so afraid of losing this baby too. This baby is very much wanted regardless of gender. I would love a DD but ultimately all I would love is a baby without autism. Selfish? Probably. Autism sucks & already rules my life with DS1. We applied to do IVF with PGS & were refused as Australias laws suck big time. All I want to do is enjoy this pregnancy like I enjoyed my boys but the anxiety about another child with autism & the possibility of losing this baby too overrides any GD.

Sorry to hear that KC it's a constant worry, and your health really is your wealth! How many weeks are you now? Hope you can relax a little over time and start to enjoy it hun, you can really get hung up on the gender and loose sight of the bigger picture Xxx

Im 10weeks now but still too afraid to tell anyone im pregnant yet. Hopefully once we get the genetic tests back in 2 weeks I will be able to relax a bit more. Ive just started to pop a little so it will be hard to keep hiding from everyone. Hubby also doesnt want to tell anyone either because of last time so I think that until we can share our news we cant really enjoy anything yet - we are just too terrified! We havent even told our boys yet. It also doesnt help that our other friends have autistic kids too & think we are crazy for wanting another child - they dont think its worth the risk. The genetic counsellor told us its a 1 in 4 chance with a boy & 1 in 10 with a girl. so higher than the 1 in 80 in the normal population. How I wish I could go back to my first pregnancy & be so ignorantly blissful.

I have missed so much! So sorry lady Tara for your hurting heart. Please know we have all been there at some point or another. We care about you and are here for you. Praying for you now.
I have two beautiful girls and desire so deeply for a son, but your statistics on autism is quite interesting KC. I thought about that and am so greatdul for healthy girls all around. I did not realize how high the difference in genders that is... praying for you to have peace no matter what.
I'm 14 weeks tomorrow but man am I showing!! I have always been on the Slim side as a personal trainer, and this is our third baby... 4th pregnancy. Why did am I showing so early? I mean my uterus is still low and baby is only the size of a lemon. It's like my uterus is pushing everything up. Lol since I know that the baby is still low I'm not going to say I have a high bump yet in correlation to the Wives tales lol. Anyone else in the same boat?

Me! I too am very fit and started showing at 14 weeks! My bump is very high too so much so that it's causing me to have wicked heartburn [emoji20]. My doctor said it has to do where the baby implanted. My baby implanted high up in my uterus so as it has gotten bigger, everything is positioned higher. It's just coincidental that I'm having a girl. I haven't gained much weight- only 2-3lbs at 17 weeks so that isn't a contributing factor. I don't believe much in the OWTs. It's strange the heartbeat one was true for me, but my BF has 3 girls and her only son had the highest heartbeat all throughout her pregnancy.

At 11-12 weeks, even though the baby is tiny my doctor says the uterus is about the size of a grapefruit. I can definitely see how that would be a visible difference especially for someone who is quite thin.

Even if the baby is tiny, the uterus is bigger and by 12 weeks it is positioned above the pelvic bones. I'm showing, but because I have a good layer of fat there, it just looks like I've put on some tummy weight lol. For those of you familiar with a B shaped belly, the B is more like a D now :) That's how I know I'm popping out a bit.
Sex drive is coming back round here lol. Still picky with foods, but nausea is subsiding which is great!

Facebook is the devil for GD. Saw THREE baby girl announcements tonight, among other GD triggers.
Why do I even have it?! It's so true what I've read about studies saying you're overall happiness generally decreases moments after logging onto FB. I thought I was immune but I guess not. Sigh. Just a vent.
I think I'm just really apprehensive about my scan this week. I feel like I'm about to enter the GD vortex and won't be able to emerge out of that funk for months/years like last time.
Thanks for listening guys...
And Tara, I hope things are looking up and you're not feeling hopeless and alone. Reach out when you need us, please. [emoji170]

I feel like my worst trigger is hanging out with my friends. :( The people I hang out with all have girls, and all but one has a girl younger than my DS2. I love them and adore their kids, but every playdate or birthday party feels like a sea of adorable dresses, tiny ballet flats, and matching hair bows.

Oh lord, I don't know how you can bear that. Luckily most of my friends have mainly boys as well as my sisters. My SIL has girl's and it actually effects our relationship. (Well, it was not strong before we ever had kids really)
But my closest friend has only one daughter and I constantly struggle with her "I love being a girl mom only" attitude. She knows nothing of my GD and sometimes it's really hard.
GD is so draining at times, especially when parenting in and of itself is.

It is normal to feel this way, even the not wanting to log onto this group. I understand completely. I know it is too early for this, but I want you to start thinking about embracing and acceptance of what is. You have time to come to a place of empowerment, so make this your goal. If we focus on what we don't want and what we don't have, we will forever feel deprived.
Acceptance doesn't mean you negate your emotions or guilt yourself because of what you feel. I say, give yourself time to feel what you need to feel, but make it productive. Write about it on paper and then burn it up and let it go when you are ready.
Take this from a person who has faced many hardships from a young age. I may not be experiencing what you are right now, but I've been in similar shoes. There WILL be better days if you allow for them to come to you.
I hope this is helpful some how hun. :hug2:

Ladytara, I'm so sorry you're having a hard time. I really wish everyone could get their DG every time. My heart is breaking for you.
I'm worried that I'm letting myself get my hopes up. I'm trying so hard to focus on how I'll cope with all boys, but I'm finding myself picturing the baby as a girl. It doesn't help that we have a girl's name picked out that we love but no boy's name yet.
Oh lord, I don't know how you can bear that. Luckily most of my friends have mainly boys as well as my sisters. My SIL has girl's and it actually effects our relationship. (Well, it was not strong before we ever had kids really)

I think it helps that I really do adore my friends, but it bothers me more than I like to admit. It feels like a cruel game of chance. A few of us have been hanging out since our 2.5-3 year old's were babies, and they're an even split. But everyone who has been added in since then has happened to have a girl, and the babies born since then have all been girls. All of my nearby family has girls, PPs, or split families. I have a few acquaintances with two boys, but I don't know anyone IRL (other than in laws) with three or more and only boys.
Okay, whine time over. How is everyone feeling? I woke up with more morning sickness than I've felt in weeks at 11w+3d. I feel like I've been pregnant forever and I'm not even through with the first trimester.

I'm the opposite. Everyone thinks I'm having a girl, even DH (but I think people are just saying that because I already have 2 boys) but I feel that is probably a boy but to be honest I just want a healthy baby. DH and I carry the sickle cell trait and DS1 has sickle cell disease but DS2 doesn't (he doesn't even have the trait so that's a blessing) so I'm just praying for a healthy baby that doesn't have sickle cell or the trait.

She's absolutely over the moon as this is just what she wanted...I'm so happy for her too but I feel pressure and I'm not sure where it's coming from...
I know I'm truly happy with whatever I'm blessed with...at this point I'm good either way...so not sure where this pressure is coming from and just wanted to have a little moan about it. Thank you for listening...have a great day*

So had an app today and the doc scanned me (didn't think he would) to show me the heartbeat which he said is around 160 and I'm 16 Weeks, no mention of gender from either of us but I saw what looked like 3 lines, don't know does this mean anything!!! Hello everyone, took a while to get caught up. Sorry for all that are fighting GD! It sucks!!! For some reason, I am not real worried about it right now. I am just happy to still be pregnant I think.
Had my first midwife appointment and I LOVE her. She is wonderful. Even though I had to wait for 2 hours to see her because someone was having a baby, it was a great appointment. She took the time to answer my questions and get a feel for us. She also did an u/s and we got to see the baby again. Measuring right on track and HB of 165. I have pics, but my DH has them on his phone as I was driving to get our boys. We were lucky a friend was able to get them from school for us since the appointment was so late.
I will post a pic once I get one to see if anyone has any guesses. I go for my Harmony test on the 8th and I am super scared. I am just praying for a healthy little bean.

The first few weeks, I was eating whole lemons. I couldn't get enough sourness. I ate pickles and drank the brine LOL. The nausea was so bad, this stuff really helped. Corn chips were huge for me the first few weeks. DH got me a few bags of Organic blue corn chips and I made salsa at home. That's all I ate for a couple of weeks as nothing else tasted good.
I've also had a thing for watermelon. Dh got me a big seedless one today and I already ate half... and I had a whole personal sized one 2 days ago. I also got a big craving for jasmine tea at around 10 weeks as well as Ramen (I make my own). Mexican fruit salad has also been a craving as of recently.
I didn't realize how many phases I've gone through already! haha, this is cute. I never craved anything with DD.

I get an awful metallic/sour taste in my mouth after eating or drinking anything besides water. It seems to get worse as the day goes on. Brushing my teeth doesn't help because the toothpaste leaves the same taste. Chewing gum helps while the gum is in my mouth but I can't chew gum constantly. Anyone have any suggestions?
Anyway, the only thing that doesn't leave the taste in my mouth is a whole grain English muffin, smothered in peanut butter with sliced banana on top. I eat it almost every night for dinner. Hoping this awful symptom fades as the first trimester ends...13 weeks tomorrow!

Try not to let them get to you. All of my boys were correctly predicted at above 12w5d. My DD was predicted at 12w6d and was measuring at 13w3d. Trust the tech knows a lot more based on what they saw at your scan. Everyone else only had one pic to go off of.

I had an ultrasound today, I'm 15.2 today but I ovulated at least 4 days late so I'm thinking I'm more like late 14 weeks.
I'm shocked to find they believe it's a girl. I attached a picture. What do you guys think? I can't even believe it could be true.
I also think a girl and my daughter was visible via potty at about 14 weeks. In fact that is what the tech used to double check herself after seeing the girly nub (and getting very excited even though she wasn't allowed to tell me LOL)

So now I wait to make sure I don't have Lyme disease!! And then I have another draw in 4 weeks just to make sure it didn't show up later in my blood ******. I'm sure I'm find tho I feel fine. And no rashes. We'll see!

Wow congrats to everyone getting there DG! I hope there is still some room for me to get mine!
I am almost feeling human again... the medication seems to help with the nausea but I feel like it gives me headaches? I dunno. What's really making me crazy is with all the food aversions and nausea, I am almost managing a better LE diet than I could before I got pregnant!
I did get my blood work back and all looks good. Baby is low risk for any health issues so yay! I denied to get the gender from my panorama. I'm just too terrified to feel what I felt with DS3. I also heard that my thyroid levels are low so I'm starting to worry that could have affected my sway... oh well the wait continues!

Hey all...woke up this morning had a quick chat with the hubby about confirming gender (we've latterly started thinking about going team green...again!)...anyway we just decided to go right ahead and book a scan before we change our minds again...and I have one booked for this afternoon!
I'm excited and nervous at the same time, but at least I'll hopefully have closure today and can get ready for my 6th boy or 1st girl...eeek!

So sorry to hear about a tick. That is very scary!
And those with thyroid issues, I have to get my blood drawn every 4 weeks this pregnancy just like with my last DD thanks to pregnancy induced hypothyroidism. So ladies with low thyroid or on the borderline I hear you! Not sure why this happened with DD2 and now. Hoping there is no correlation to gender and it's just me and pregnancy.

Tick bites are tricky, hope no rash develops and the lab draw comes back negative!
I'll be waiting on the scan result!! FX!
I'm a little down today and both my sister and mother are convinced my scan shows a scrotum and not a labia on my US from yesterday. Totally has me second guessing and now waiting until the very end of May for any resolution. That's my next scan.
Bummed, but relieved things looked healthy.
Hope everyone is getting closer to feeling better with the MS and all!

Wantanother that definitely looks like labia to me. In my experience, the scrotum doesn't look like two distinct sections and if you're at an angle where you can see scrotum, you can see the penis too.

Hey ladies - I've had some time away from here as I've been so so emotional this pregnancy purely I think due to feeling an overwhelming responsibility to grow this baby girl which I still cannot believe is really happening to me after such a short sway ... I am 16 weeks now with a new due date of 16th October - hoping for a VBA2C but have been told have a low anterior placenta so hoping it shifts out the way in time as not had this before [emoji53]
Like I said I've been very emotional so I hope u can welcome me back to the forum I've missed it sometimes not clicking on everyday when it's been my life since my ds2 was born 3 Years ago !
I've managed to catch up congrats to wantanother2017!! Can't believe all that worrying u had (we all have it but I know u only want two kids so was so keen for this to be your girl!) amazing congratulations !! I think we're due similar time??
1pinkplease I didn't realise u had 5 boys (have I got that right?!) so this must be a dream come true congratulations !!
Xx how are u feeling now?
I feel so different to how I did 3 weeks ago I feel almost normal which is amazing no sick less tired more energy enjoying some walks in the sun when my back isn't playing up but so far so good
Heard her heart beat this morning and me and hubby cried we still can't believe it , it sounded just beautiful and different to my boys too much more gentle sounding heartbeat than their boisterous one haha !

I didn't sleep last night. After the move, my knees and legs ached all night and then I was hungry so I snuck a banana while everyone was asleep. We're at a hotel for a couple of days while we sort our new place out.
In spite of getting just one sleep cycle of sleep, I was up and ready to go at the usual time I was before BFP! could this be my energy coming back? I sure do hope so lol. I'm gonna relax today, that's for sure.
All of you and your gender reveals are making me crack.... I may book a gender scan at 17 weeks. I don't want anymore scans after baby's hearing is developed.

I also bought giant balloons that spell out "girl" . We have a Photoshoot next week that I'll be using for social media.

how many weeks along are you? 11/12? I had that also and I think it is related to hormone changes as the placenta is starting to take over. I've concluded that this probably happens because we have an excess flooding of hormones that needs to be processed and no longer needed when the placenta is starting to produce its own. I had this for about 3 days or so and nothing helped. It does go away though :)

^^^I had this too. I figured it to be due to the same as Cosmosis mentioned. It should get better soon. If it persists longer than 2-3 days, gets worse, or you develop new symptoms go in right away.

Wow congrats everyone! 1pink - I cried here at work when I read your news! that is so wonderful that you heard pink!!!! Give all of us 5+ boys moms some hope!!!
Yesterday was Bring Your Kid to Work Day and my work goes all out. I work for a highway district, so they bring out all of the Heavy Equipment for the kids to play on and honk horns. It was a LONG day and I actually took a 3 hour nap when we got home. The boys really loved it though!!!
I am happy to hear that some of you are feeling better (welcome back BB). I have been super emotional all the time and the MS is starting to drain me. I am so tired of feeling like I am going to puke all day long. I usually don't actually vomit, but I do dry heave in the shower some days. Praying it gets better soon. I am doing on a trip to Alaska in 2 weeks without the kids (First time ever) and I got a motion sickness patch for the trip. I hope that it at least helps me enough so that I can enjoy the cruise!
