View Full Version : No sign of AF

Hi ladies,
I have been actively swaying blue for a very long time which made me gain a lot of weight and this might have affected my O :(. I am on my third month with no sign of AF and it makes me extremely sad. I find myself crying during the nights and losing hope..Hope of getting pregnant. I have lost 5 kilo's by dropping most carbs and eating mostly salads, fruits and meats, nuts, rggs daily, yoghurt, cheese, dates, sometimes organic date bars and lots of English tea with honey.
My GP told me to come back in three months. This means I should lose more weight in those months and keep trying. I have bought pre seed and a ovulation kit. But since I dont know when I O (I guess no one really knows), should I use the ovulation kit daily?
Something in me is aching and I cant wait to get pregnant. My daughter is almost 1 year and 4 months. It feels as if she is much older and I dont want her to be old when I get my second child.
I really need your advice on what to do to boost my fertility and what you guys did to boost it. I was even thinking of acupuncture for fertility. Sorry to come of desperate. I have never had issues with being fertile..

You WILL get pregnant again!
Your daughter is NOT old. She is still a baby herself. She will not be too old to enjoy the new baby when it comes and in fact, this very well may be God/the universe's way of making sure you are in good enough condition to have a baby boy.
I want you to keep doing what you're doing. Keep getting the weight off little by little. I want you exercising (especially weights). I DO NOT want you taking a bunch of stuff to "boost fertility" because I think you've got some PCO-tendencies due to the weight gain and since most things that "boost fertilility" will make those things worse, it's best to leave them alone.
You're on the right track meoab. Please keep fighting the good fight, I know it's hard to do but it actually WORKS, unlike taking a magic pill.
RE the acupuncture - proceed with caution with this as again IF it works it "boost fertility" which may end up making the PCO-tendencies worse, and it probably doesn't work anyway. Plus, the acupuncturists are very pushy with the herbs and if you go in there now, start taking a bunch of herbs, it will very likely make it take even longer for your cycle to come back. If they ARE able to fix it it will be by giving you stuff that will sway pink.
You're doing all the right things already.
Re when to BD, I'd just have regular unprotected sex every other day, every 2-3-4 days, whatever works for you guys. Then if you do notice EWCM, go to EOD if you weren't doing that already and start doing your OPK strips at that time. then if the OPK goes positive you can still be in with 2-3 more attempts then.
I'd save the Preseed to use when you need a lube (which you may since you're breastfeeding)

Thank you Atomic, this peptalk really does help. I have lost a little more weight as I can see a difference. I am doing yoga and kettle bell to lose weight, and I will start tae bo again. Taking my usual vitamine pills and after I do yoga I feel a pain in my pelvis. The same feeling I had before I got my AF.
I told the acupuncturist that I wont use any herb and she said she hardly uses it as she is an expert in pcos/infertility etc. She is specialised on that area.
I bd'ed ebery two\three days and will keep doing that. btw is it normal that the atrips dont show any line?
I must get pregnant!! It was so easy with my baby girl. We did the pull out and bd'ed just once et voila a baby girl. This baby just doesnt want to enter my world lol

Sometimes the strips don't show lines and other times they do!! You can even O and not get a line sometimes.
Baby is just waiting till the time is right. :) Keep up the good work, this will happen!

Hi Atomic, I went through 'swaying under special circumstances' and read that we need carbs to stay fertile, l'carnitine and Magnesium sways blue if taken under special circumstances (PCO tendencies or PCOS). I eat more fruit, is that ok? And should I take those pills mentioned above?
I eat meat everyday, is that fine? And should I avoid beans?

Fruit IS carbs. That is what I want you to be getting carbs from. Fruit, fresh veg, and whole grains in moderation. What that means is that I don't want people going onto the Atkins diet with NO carbs. I do not mean that everyone should now start eating tons of carbs!! That will simply aggravate PCO-tendencies for people.
NO NO NO do not add in L-carnitine. I'll have to reread that but that would simply up your testosterone and AGGRAVATE the PCO stuff that you have going on. No L-carnitine!
If you're taking a prenatal or multi you'll be getting enough magnesium.
RE beans, they are somewhat carby. I think that they're ok for you as long as you're limiting carbs to some extent and still eating meat. The people who get into trouble with beans are generally vegans who have PCOS - they don't eat any protein from anything other than nuts and beans, both of which are very carby, and they have too many carbs. For you, you are eating meat and fruit and that is GREAT. If some beans are in your diet now and then, that's ok.

I updated the thread re the L-carnitine. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Hi Meoab I just read through this post out of curiosity as I am 5 months pp and somewhat patiently waiting for my first ppaf to show up. I get the cramps and spots and pms and I feel like she's coming and then nothing it is frustrating!
I just want to say keep doing what you are doing you have a great boy sway going on and your sweet baby wants to come to you just when the time is right for him.
I also think the bigger spacing will only sway more blue for you too.
xx big hugs xx

Thank you atomic. You are very clear and confirmed it for me. I came here across something that draw my attention. Clomid is available in Spain over the counter, and I searched online that many people go there to buy it. I have someone there that can get it for me...What do you think Atomic? Will it benefit me at this stage if I get it and take it as it is described?
Hi Kittendreams, I feel you and have the same problem. Last month I felt the pain and the pms, but not AF. I was so sad and still am :(. But everything will be fine, for both of us. Sweet of you xx

My concern with people starting Clomid when they are not regularly ovulating is that you are supposed to start the Clomid several days before ovulation. You have to either have a period, OR else have a doctor do an ultrasound on your ovaries to make sure that your eggs are in the right state, before you take the Clomid. If you take it at the wrong part of the cycle you will just make it take even longer, because you could end up forming a cyst in your ovary.
meoab
May 8th, 2017, 05:48 AM
Hmmmm too risky if cysts are involved. Better to wait I gurss. BTW what about agnus cactus, is it too girl friendly?
atomic sagebrush
May 8th, 2017, 12:34 PM
Yes it's pink friendly, and it has the same risks involved as the Clomid - if you were to start it right before you were about to O, it could delay or even stop O. And it doesn't work that great anyway quite frankly.
If you really must take something we can start with inositol. That actually works.

May 9th, 2017, 03:33 AM
Thank you Atomic. The thing is that I am now obsessed with pcos and I read so much about it even though I am not diagnosed with it yet. Thanks I looked into inositol and it seems to really work! There are different ones, which one do you require? And does it sway more girl?

I like Pregnitude simply because it's a name brand that is easy to find. (it is $$ though) Any kind of myoinositol should work though.
It may sway pink a little bit but honestly we are having the opposite problem right now and you may need to lower your hormones a bit to kickstart ovualtion.

Atomic, I have ordered it and they will deliver it within a week. But, the freaking good news is that my AF showed up today!!! I am so happy, I have missed these cramps. What would the next step will be, keep eating healthy and excercising, keep my weight steady or lose more?

Hi Meoab, I wish you success continue the right approach. Hopefully all this time will be worth waiting may you have a great blue sway Good Luck!!

Keep doing what you're doing and if some more weight sneaks off, so be it.
Don't start the Pregnitude till we figure out if you're back on track with your ovulation. IF you are, then I don't want to take the chance that it could possibly sway pink.

No, you only need to take the guanefesin up to O. Some people take it till 3 days after O.

My AF has not arrived yet and I am on day 28 now. It kind of scares that it wont arrive again for the next 3 months. I do feel cramp and a lot of pain around my cervix. Especially when I move.

Well, here's the thing. Worrying about it is not going to make it come sooner and in fact may delay it.
We are not "meant" to know we are ovulating. It's like a watched pot. Your body notices things like anxiety and may delay O accordingly (which in turn delays AF) So while I know it's hard, stressing about Oing and AF arriving on time only makes things worse!

I would like to update on this one since I got pregnant after my AF came back in May (took three months).
AF came back the 13th of May and everything was normal (bleeding part and duration). My husband and I bd'ed on cd12 and cd14 as far as I know. It makes me so sad that I did not note it down but hey I had all negative opk's. We also
bd'ed on cd 30, 31, 33 and 36 with 5 attempts in total. I had all very dark positive opk's during that week, assuming I was about to ovulate rather than being pregnant. This was the first time we ttc after my AF came back and bam got pregnant without knowing. No idea how blue friendly I am and how many attempts I really got..just praying for a healthy baby boy. I am obsessed with all this blue sways. Have anxiety as the succesful blue sways have all many attempts...and there I am. Have been working so hard on my diet and working out. All the aupps...the yogas, the accupuncture (lol). I feel like a joke...
Although I have these anxiety moments I want to thank you Atomic <3. Learned a lot from you and the other ladies. Learned about my body and how to control it, be aware of my internal surrounding and how it actually works.

Congratulations on your pregnancy Meoab! Sending lots of blue dust your way and don't worry you can still conceive a boy with those attempts especially if you were eating boy friendly- that is very similar to how my ds1 was conceived- 2 attempts a few days before o.
Fx this is your sweet boy xx

Good luck and blue dust! IF stress was delaying O anyway (or playing some part in that) for all we know that was the exact right thing to have happened for your sway and also for conceiving.

Some expert suggests that it can be infertility issue even when the test result shows it's normal. I hope it helps
