I just read the DD list right at the top of this page and saw that you've updated my info XX. It looks so weird seeing my username and then 'having girl' next to it! I still can't believe it!

Yes, hopefully the blue swayers will come through soon with awesome news...I'm rooting for you guys, I absolutely love being a boy mom, there's something very special about raising future gentlemen!!

Well, I'm still debating on whether or not to find out. IF and when I do, it will be in 3 weeks, God willing. :car: Not sure if that makes me the first one to find out lol, but hopefully we have a blue wave coming!!

It's so hard I would be finding out next week!! [emoji31] this is the hardest point of team green so far is literally going to the scan where they would normally confirm gender (my morphology scan) and I'm opting out of gender! I HAVE TO STAY STRONG THOUGH! Haha but oh man it will be so hard [emoji24][emoji24]

Just had a great time celebrating my DD1 for her fifth birthday. Can't believe I gave birth to my first born 5 years ago. Hardest workout of my life. But natural birth and so so worth it. We had a fun Frozen party. Here is my belly pic a bit late. Almost 15 weeks but seriously looking bigger than both girls so much earlier. My diet hasn't been that much different either. Crossing fingers this is a good sign for our boy.

Wow, so many announcements since I last came on! Congratulations to All!!!

I'm in a bit of a pickle. The only time that both the scan place and I could do the 12 week scan (within the 11-13 wk window for nuchal translucency) was/is on Wednesday. So I had to get the blood test done three days before. Went to blood test place yesterday (everything is private/outsourced here, you can't just get it done with doctor or at hospital, annoyingly) and the doctor had given me the wrong form - he'd printed out the one for the glucose test at 20 weeks which involves fasting (which I hadn't done)! So they couldn't do my blood test. Now too late for NT test. Do I just risk it and assume no Downs syndrome, knowing that I wouldn't terminate anyway? Or pay a tonne of money, which I can't really afford, for the NIPT/harmony test?

Anyone have some creative ideas on how to tell our kids we are having another baby? (We have 5 kids, ages 15yo-5yo). We have a photographer who's graciously documenting our year... and I'm full on drawing blanks.

For telling gender..
We have done the box filled with balloons in the color of gender and this time we did black balloons with colored confetti. I've also seen these cool things balls (e.g. soccer balls) you can get the kids to kick and colored powder comes out! It's on etsy.
I wanted to do smoke bombs but didn't have time to order.

I scheduled another scan a week from today to ease my mind about the gender btw. [emoji1374]

I read what Atomic said about the baking soda test and it's based on what you ate/drink... but all of the tales are definitely fun!! My friend, who is a month ahead of me, and lives down the street, is pregnant with her first and just found out she's having a boy. She was so convinced it was a boy too. So excited for her and now I can't wait to hear for us!! Still trying to decide if we will find out or go team green. Decisions, decisions!! Lol

Ugh. So I fell down the stairs today- not as bad as it sounds, but I'm pretty sore. My left hip hurts from how I landed as well as my left wrist and knee. I cramped a tiny bit right afterward (from a full bladder I believe), but I have been fine since then. No spotting. My DS2 feels so badly about it. He spilled a pencil sharpener down the last half of our stairs, and I went up to get the dust pan. I slipped trying to avoid the pencil shavings as I was afraid I'd slip. I slid down 4-5 stairs instead of toppling over. I'm so glad I did that, but now of course I'm worried. I guess I wait it out. I may see if they can fit me in tomorrow just to hear her heartbeat. Just what I needed [emoji849].

I hope everyone else is doing well!

Ouch XX. Sounds like some pulled muscles and bruising.

I remember falling over when preg with ds2 and landing on the side of my belly as i twisted mid fall to avoid my stomach taking the the full brunt. I did get checked though as i was worried but all was well. He turned out to be my biggest baby 😂 .

I fell off a ladder at work while 8 months pregnant -_-

Obviously we were both fine but that was scary!

I also had read the baking soda pee test was just based on what you eat. So I did it the week I found out I conceived :) so my diet was as close to what it was prior to conception and upon conception! So I could at least tell if my diet was more alkaline or acidic. Hopefully [emoji23]

Well I finally had my first scan today (at 14wks 2 days). My EDD still the same.
I can't tell the nub at all - have absolutely no idea. Do any of you know or are legs in the way? The skull looks boyish to me :(, but then looking back on all my boys' ultrasound pic skulls - they're all different, ds1 is flatter than flat, ds2 super round, ds3 a mixture - more like this one. Gosh I so hope it's a girl, but I have big feeling of dread...

Yes, I think leg must have been in the way. I really don't understand either nub or skull theory tbh. I have googled the former and looked through a tonne of pictures and can't really see any difference! Ah well, just have to wait another few weeks to find out...

Placenta anterior again, which I really didn't want. Have had two of my three boys the same, and back to back, overdue, horrific labours. The only one who had posterior placenta was the right way around and such an easy, pleasant labour! I just feel - girl diet, bad all day sickness & another back to back - I really deserve my girl!!! I know it doesn't work that way.

My nausea has mostly gone, except in the evenings, thank goodness. I am back on the coffee and chocolate during the day. Haven't had any skin break outs and leg hair seems to be growing faster if that's possible - so don't know if that's a bad sign...

The two of you who posted bump pics, were you always that slim or did you lose a load of weight for the girl diet? My tummy is huge in comparison (too embarrassed to post), but I think it's because I'm a lot fatter than you!

Good morning ladies!

I have a big concern and I hope I can explain things well.

We recently moved to a temp place as our current place is under renovation and I wanted some peace and quiet. We had to stay at a hotel for 2 days then switched to a motel with a kitchenette and if you all know anything about that, it means it is in the smoking section :worry:

The place was not well ventilated and they tried to cover up the smell by spraying the carpet HEAVILY and I mean heavily with chemicals. I aired out the place but the air was heavy and I was very concerned for the baby :(

As if it wasn't bad enough, we finally got the place we wanted, its in a great area BUT they also house students here lol. So last night dome idiot decided it was a good idea to have pot smoking party even though the building is strictly non smoking. They were coughing and smoking all night long and it lasted about 12 hours. The air felt thick last night and again, now I'm super worried. It isn't second hand smoke per se, it is more like just the smell as we do have vents and all that, but my chest has felt very uncomfortable for the last 3 days.

I have a midwife appt tomorrow and I will have the heart rate checked, but I couldn't sleep because I was so worried (and angry!).

Ever since I got a BFP, my chest is very sensitive and the slightest scent of any chemical makes me quite ill and makes it difficult to breathe deeply. I have like a light weeze going on all the time... as if I had asthma almost. It is difficult to explain so I hope it makes sense. It is 100% triggered by pregnancy and I didn't have it with DD, so it is new to me.

The landlord sprayed this place down with fabreeze as well, so it could be just that. Maybe it is the chemicals irritating me.

Do I have a real reason to worry? I felt baby moving last night when I was awake, but his/her movements have lessened in the last few days. When we were at the hotel, he was moving non stop. He/she does go through moving spurts though. Ough, motherhood seems to be all about worrying 24-7. >_<

Thoughts?

I'm glad you have an appointment with your midwife. I would definitely have her check you and baby over. You can develop asthma in pregnancy. You may need a referral to an allergy and asthma doctor. I have asthma and it flared up in 2 out 3 pregnancies for me. I have 3 girlfriends who developed it in pregnancy. Hang in there!!

DS2's placenta was anterior and low. It moved enough by the third trimester that it wasn't any concern for delivery, and I think I felt him move more than my other anterior placenta baby because it was so low. :)

lucyandboys, I totally get your concern but I just wanted to say that both my sons had anterior placentas and my labour with DS2 was honestly a dream. Fast, smooth, no complications.

I've had an anterior placenta before with my DS3. It was in the middle and to the left, so I felt him consistently after 16 weeks.

This time, my DD's placenta is fully anterior in the middle. My OB said that it shouldn't pose any problem other than being annoying for feeling movement, haha!

I'm just relieved she is ok!!

This is very much off the current topic... but have any of you experienced like serious anger during your pregnancy?

I have started several fights with several people including DH. Like out of no where. I mean it's valid things that upset me but I don't normally lash out and I feel like I've been lashing out on everyone!

We are going on a climbing trip this weekend with friends and we had a group text going on and I have made it VERY clear to everyone I don't want to take 4 adults and ALL out climbing and camping gear in one sedan 5 hours there and back..

Our guy friend sent the first text and said "so I think it's silly to take 2 cars. So when should we meet up and where?"

Like wtf!?!? Just swooped in and called the shots because he decided it was stupid?!!?!? So I freaked out on everyone on the chat! What is wrong with me!

Then DH called and started lecturing me on being a diva in front of our friends and making us look bad!!! WTFUUUUHHHHHH don't you dare come at me and lecture me like a parent to a child!!!

Anyways.... anyone else experience random outbursts of rage and frustration while pregnant? Def didn't get this way with my daughter..

^^^Yep. With all of my boy pregnancies. Not to give you any false hope, but I got that way with each of them. Me and my DH would jokingly call those episodes "psycho bitch episodes", haha! It was like a train wreck, I knew I was reacting inappropriately in the moment, but I was rendered helpless to stop it. I always felt awful afterward. Except for the time my DH purposely pressed my buttons and I threw a remote at him! It was bad at times, haha! 🤞🏻it means you have a baby boy growing in there!!

This time around it's been more tears and sadness, but especially with DS2 I remember the flashes of rage.

On the other hand, I have no idea how you would fit four adults worth of gear in the trunk of most sedans. In fact, I remember trying with a friend's civic and having to send one pack with the other group who had an SUV, and that was just backpacking gear without the added bulk of climbing gear or bulkier "base camp" gear.

Wow, I don't log in for a few days and all sorts of stuff happens.
XX - glad everything is good with baby girl! Also, thank you so much for fixing the intro page with all of out information. It looks wonderful! :)
I can't wait to see what all of our upcoming gender reveals are!!

AFM - still just as sick as can be. I would probably vomit more if I did not have such a severe anxiety about it and do everything I can to NOT throw up. I still dry heave in the shower a few times a week. I am praying that the motion sickness meds that I got for our trip next week work and I am not sick the whole time. DH and I are going on a cruise to Alaska without the kids. (grandparents are coming up to watch them) We have planned this trip for the past 4 years. I pray I can enjoy it and not spend it in bed green the whole time.

All of the bump pics look beautiful. I started fluffy, so I can't tell what is baby and what is fluff.

You have every right to feel the way you do. You're pregnant for crying out loud! This is not the time to shove you in a small space! I would talk to your DH about that because not only is that not safe it's unrealistic! I mean, you're goi g to have to make a few stops along the way to pee, maneuvering around equipment every 15 or so miles is NOT gonna happen!

Good morning :)

So, about the rage. YES. TOTALLY ME. I was already quite bossy around the house but it is ridiculous now. I got in several headbutts with MIL (and she is super sweet and we've gotten along well before) and I just lose my cool so very quickly. It is very frustrating and nobody in my household understands it one bit. My husband doesn't buy the hormone thing. It doesn't help my case when I was already quite the moody cow 2 weeks out of the month, and I have never been soft spoken and a Mary Poppins type, but I don't recall every being this way with DD. I can't stand myself sometimes.

It has gotten *slightly* better since the nausea and fatigue went away, but overall, this is how DH describes me:

http://i65.tinypic.com/28k3pso.jpg

Anyway, I hope to hear a healthy heartbeat today. I'm nervous.

Lovely bump pics :) I won't share any because there is no real bump, maybe when I'm in the 3rd tri, God willing.

For those that had the headaches, when did they stop and what (if anything) did you find to help them???

I have a headache every afternoon and evening and they are getting debilitating. :( I can barely cook and eat dinner and getting the kids to bed is such a chore these day. UGH. I hate that my kids (and DH) keep trying to see what will make Mom feel better.

I got to see little girl agsin yesterday at my 11 week ultrasound. She's measuring a day ahead of my dates and heartbeat was 176.
I am unsure if I'll do the ips screening ultrasound as I already know my baby is low risk for downsyndrome. It would purely be for nub shots. Lol
However I might just hold off until my 3d gender scan in just a few weeks.

I've been having lots of headaches for over a month now. It starts at the base of my skull/neck and is around my temples too. Tylenol helps, some caffeine, massages forced from the hubby, and frequent chiropractic visits. But they still are regular. I'm attributing it to excess blood flow, allergies, etc...
I've also started claritin. Hope we get relief soon.

Alright, I went to my midwife appointment today and just came out pissed off.

The appointment was all about tests (of which most I will decline) and her telling me that my BMI made me high risk blah blah and she goes on to talk to me about nutrition (hello, I'm a nutritionist). Look lady, I know I'm overweight, but I already lost 100lbs...obviously I'm doing something right, right?

Anyway, We spent an hour on stuff and she didn't give me time to talk about what was really bothering me and my concerns. She checked my belly and said that my uterus had not popped out yet and she pressed really hard :( and now I'm worried.

I tried to tell her that I believe everything is growing towards the back (back ache and overall how I see things growing) and the baby is at the very back towards the bottome and my uterus HAS popped as it is quite firm but has a layer of fat over it. She proceeded to check for the heartbeat and she was checking too high, so I advised her to check at the very bottom, at the crease of my pubic line and press upwards because baby IS AT THE BACK >_>

Lo and behold, after reluctantly listening to me she found the heart beat within 5 seconds. Heart rate was 140! It was 165 at my(private) ultrasound 2.5 weeks ago. I'm guessing baby is much bigger now.

She asked me if I felt baby move, I said yes and I have for many weeks now. She tells me I must be much further along than I think I am as women don't feel movement so early.... again, the baby is at the bottom and back of my uterus. Gha! I have felt flutters since 8/9 weeks because the placenta is at the very top in the fundus area.

I'm really irked because a GOOD practitioner will listen to their client, even if the client isn't well educated or knows their body well. What the client says is always important as they live in their own body and whatever they say will let you in on what is going on, if you listen..... >_< this "I know better" attitude isn't gonna fly with me.

Rant over.

Oh geez I know what you mean!
Last pregnancy my third back up midwife met me for one apt. She spent the entire time talking about how everything I put in my mouth will go straight to weight gain. She then recommended going low carb/no carb diet. Like hmmmm hello I do this after baby....like heck I am doing it during my third trimester!

I honestly love my midwives but some things they do urk me the wrong way. Firstly .... bc I've had a previous c section I will not give birth at home. They really push for it. Then ECERYTIME I have to practically beg them to induce me a week after my due date. It's my baby. My body.. I want it my way. I hate the fact that they are so overly non doctorish too sometimes. They hardly check cervix unless I again beg...

They should do what the patient feels comfortable doing as this increases the chances of success and decreases chances of complications! A confident and relaxed patient is what any good practitioner should look for and encourage.

My midwives won't even give me a chance at a home birth because of my c-section TEN years ago >_< Let's switch midwives! lol aren't you in Canada?

They should do what the patient feels comfortable doing as this increases the chances of success and decreases chances of complications! A confident and relaxed patient is what any good practitioner should look for and encourage.

My midwives won't even give me a chance at a home birth because of my c-section TEN years ago >_< Let's switch midwives! lol aren't you in Canada?
Hahaha! Yes!
Wow they won't let you?
I've had 2 successful vbacks since my c section 9 years ago. They told me though that id have to wear a monitor and IF my uterine scar ruptures I have 5 min before I could die to get to a hospital. That is no comfort! Lol

I had my check up today and all is well the doctor wasn't able to find the heartbeat with the doppler so I had to get an u/s (yayyy!!) So I got to see our little bean just jumping around!! It was awesome! I've nicknamed the baby "jumping bean" lol. They could barely get the heart rate because the baby was moving around so much but they were able to capture it at 165bpm. I do feel little disheartened though. I decided to go with a different doctor than my previous pregnancies bc I knew my old doctor would not even consider a vba2c so when I went in for a yearly exam with the new doctor he said he was open to discussing it. So, when I went in today I asked about it and he said that most practitioners would advise against because of the complications but I really felt like he was trying to scare me vs. giving me all the information to make an informed decision. He told me that there was a 3% percent chance of uterine rupture and then out of that 3% there is a 1 in 400 chance that the baby could die or need life long care. I just feel like this is something I would like to attempt at least. I don't like the doctor deciding what day my babies will be born. I would like to leave that up to God as to what day my baby is ready to come on. Now, I'm stuck between giving up on my finally shot at having a vba2c or just giving in and having a scheduled CS. Any thoughts? I just feel really conflicted right now...

My last c-section was 6 years ago with DS2. It was scheduled because I had a c-section with DS1 (his heart rate dropped) and the doctor wouldn't even try to do a vbac with DS2.

Umm I am not a Dr of course.. but I don't see a reason you couldn't attempt a vback. 6 years is a long time to heal. I had my first 2.5 years after mine. Also the reason for your section is very specific for your second pregnancy/baby at the time. Usually they say you'll need a section every time if you had one for reasons that occur every time with your pregnancies. E.g. small birth canal or another medical concern.
Have you thought about using a midwife instead of a Dr?
I changed after my first son and never looked back.

My friend went for her vbac (and I have had several) but this one time... this one friend had a rupture. Thankfully she was at the hospital and they were ready to take care of her. I don't think anyone has mentioned a vbac home birth but that thought has always scared me! And no midwives will let you get pain meds if you want them.
What is everyone craving these days?? Anyone else experiencing being more hungry overall??

I'm not having any real cravings consistently, and I'm not much hungrier than I was before my BFP. However, with all of my boys I was constantly hungry. Like watching the clocks for when I could eat again, haha! Waking up in the middle of the night and having a small snack!

Booked my (private) gender determination ultrasound today! Just over three weeks to go and I'm nervous as hell.

Still haven't told any family. My friends know, but I'm nervous to tell my parents (not super supportive), and I'd like to know the sex before I tell my MIL (all boys, a touch of GD herself).

I'm also hoping for vba2c
My first was emergency second was elective as was still scarred from the trauma of ds1 birth!
Now 3 yeas since my last section I have a meeting next week if they wil let me go for it but my midwife seems very optimistic even suggested water birth in delivery suite !
I've bought some hypnobirthing cds so will start them soon too hoping for a successful vba2c but u just never know!
I hope u get your vba2c too! Xx

That's what my girls looked like... you never know. I know the fret and fear though... hearing is such a for sure. And when you have only the same gender you begin wondering if you could have the other gender. That every baby you make is probably the same gender as the previous babies. I definitely get this! I have 6 boys and 1 girl. This baby was a surprise so no deliberate sway but i completely changed my lifestyle before hand not to sway girl just wanted to be fitter and thinner so when i found out i was pregnant i started wondering if that would affect if we had a boy or a girl and I found a post on here that would suggest I had swayed girl. I exercised twice a day 6 days a week, going for speed/endurance runs in the morning and doing high intensity workouts in the evening, i lost 70lbs dropping to 110lb I ate no red meat and very little protein my calorie intake was between 900 and 1100. I would finish eating at around 4-5pm and not eat again until 8am. My ewcm completely dried up as i normally ovulate on day 26 and would have tons of it and we would avoid dtd but on that particular month there was no signs of O and when day 26 came and no ewcm i decided to take a pregnancy test and it was positive. I had a scan on Wednesday where the tech is positive its a girl and one the week before with a girl nub so fingers crossed. lol

I looked more into midwifery in my state but it seems the only one is over an hour away so I'm not even sure how that will work out. I think I'm going to go to my next doc appointment and stress how important it is for me to try for a vbac and if he flat out refuses then I will have to go with another doctor.

As a doula, even if he was hesitant I would take that as a no. When it comes to VBAC, a doctor bait/switch their tune is really super common. Sadly. If someone is not really supportive now, it only gets worse. Most providers know mamas don't charge care last minute.

(I did at 32w and it was the best decision I made in re: to having my babies. But that's very uncommon).

Wow, I didn't log in for a while and I think I missed the entire third thread! Congrats to everyone who heard the gender, seems like there were a ton of successful sways!

I had my first appointment with my midwife yesterday, and she heard a nice heartbeat of 164. But she says that she might not be able to follow my pregnancy because I've hemmoraged in my previous births and that makes me too "high risk". Argh. This sucks because I went to a hematologist who tested me for blood disorders and concluded I had nothing wrong, it was just a coincidence. I'm perfectly happy to give birth in a hospital with a midwife, but I don't want an OB! She is going to discuss and let me know in a few weeks.

Well I didn't... we did one attempt... 5 days before O (verified by chart, and OPK). We were not trying that month, taking a stress break. And it had been 6m of all sorts of timing, etc (one chemical) that were waaaaaay closer to the egg. It was 'meant to be' in a very ironic way...

Also have y'all started to think of names? I have always struggled with names but I am like 75% sure I have her name picked out already. Is this crazy?!
I am not going to tell anyone on social media except very select close friends bc I am scared of other people stealing it 😂
Pathetic I know... but it's happened where they had the baby first and used my name I had told them.

Both of my boys go by a "C" name, and the girl's name we have picked out is a C name too. I feel a little weird doing a totally different letter for a third boy, although the C's weren't intentional, just the names we liked.

I'm kind of overall worried about this baby being left out since my boys are about 20 months apart and this baby will be 3.5 years younger than DS2. I worry that DS1 and DS2 will continue doing the same activities, sharing friends, etc and this baby (especially if it's a boy) will get left out a lot.

Ive had HG in this pregnancy and had a bout of relief and then have very strong MS and am still sick up to this day. There was a lot of cord in the way in the first scan anx the second scan there was still cord but then I had a wriggle around and a cold glass of water and it moved the cord away. She did say 98% boy but told me not to be painting my nursery blue yet.. hmmm I dont know .... i thought i saw three lines in the first scan but the second when bub opened its legs it looked like there was something there .

so still early enough for a decent margin of error. Although on my last pregnancy i was told boy at 13+6 and really hoped they were wrong and it was just too early. I wish i could honestly say that i dont mind which gender we get in pregnancy but that would be a lie, however even with him being our 6th boy once he was born i fell head over heels in love and couldnt imagine life without him.

I have even called in sick to work tomorrow as I dont think I will be handle being at work & getting the call. Its midnight here & I am still awake so that doesnt help either! At least I can take the boys to school & have a nap after lunch. Wish me luck!

Re: early or late babies... I usually do 38.5w-39w with the boys, my daughter was born on her due date and the surrogate baby I carried (a girl) was 6 days over her very exact due date - so with this being a girl I bet I go all the way to my due date, or over maybe.

I am scared to death that something will be wrong. I am a mess. And even though I usually don't work on Mondays, I had to go in this week because of our trip next week. This is the same place that we went to that we had the scan that we found out we lost our girls last time, so I am scared. Wish me luck ladies. Right now I don't care about gender, I am just praying for healthy.

kc - HUGS - praying that you start to feel better about your new little man and I am so happy that he is healthy for you! I understand the fear of autism all too well. Thank you guys for the support! Baby looked good. Still had a hb at 161 and the NT scan looked perfect. Did the blood draw and they had to stick me twice. :/ She lost the vein the first time. Ugh.

I will upload pics when I can. I did not see a nub the whole time. The scan was over a half hour because the baby just would not cooperate and be in the right position. I had to move all over for her to get the few measurements she did. I will try to upload pics to see if anyone will guess in the u/s forum.

This is the only good skull photo I got. I'll post a profile shortly. But it wasn't a centered profile.. baby was turned away slightly and wouldn't cooperate.

They didn't slip up and say anything about gender for me! HOWEVER... she panned down the spine for us and I'm 90% sure I saw a perfectly vertical nub! And I know it wasn't the cord cuz I saw the cord along WITH the nub!

It was also awkward cuz the nurse explained everything she was measuring and why and what everything was and he second she hit the low spine and that nub was sticking straight up, she quickly measured something on the low spine and move away and was silent while she did it lol!

Called DH after and was like "did you see anything by chance" he was like "...I mean maybe.." I was like no really I'm trying to see if we saw the same thing.. he's like "ok yes I did... when she went down the spine and you could see tummy, cord, leg and then I saw something sticking up but I just kind thought it was the other leg.." I was like HA I know second legs and I know nubs.. I'm 99% sure that was a bright white nub!

So happy for everyone's scan today looking great!
I got another one today for reassurance at 17 weeks exactly. Immediately you could tell it was a girl. I'm relieved! But honestly not allowing myself to get super excited! I imagined this moment for so long and it's crazy how calm I am. The tech asked, "are you excited??" Ha, I was thinking, lady you have NO IDEA. I think she actually thought I was sad it was a girl I was so silent!
I think once the baby is here I'll actually let myself believe I'm getting my girl.
I feel guilty for receiving this gift when I know the pain others are experiencing.
And I also feel like as soon as I get excited it will be taken away. I know those thoughts aren't necessarily healthy but it is what it is.

Either way, I'm so grateful for you ladies. I'm excited to follow our pregnancy journeys together and hope we all have happy, healthy babies!

I can feel an occasional tapping feeling at night when I'm lying down and still. The tech told me I should be feeling them any day with my posterior placenta.
And she also said she completely believes in the nub theory but not Ramzi, just thought that was interesting!

Anyone have a low laying placenta? I did discover that yesterday. About half a cm away from my cervix. So we are waiting to hear back from the radiologist

I've heard a lot of medical professionals say they believe nub theory but not ramzi. Ramzi is basically conjecture, but nub theory is based on the actual process of the development of external genitalia. Of course, I was silly and opted out of the NT this time so I don't get a nub shot. :( less than three weeks until my gender ultrasound!

Nann3r, I had a low lying placenta with DS1 but it moved up when they rescanned to check on it.

Good morning :) lovely scan photos everyone! <3 looking forward to mine... I think lol. I've been feeling my little one since 8/9 weeks. I know for sure it was the baby all along and not gas lol because the flutters are the same now, just much much stronger than before and when I saw him/her via ultrasound jumping away, I was like YEP, that's what I have been feeling.

I guess it really just depends where the bean implants. With DD I felt nothing until I was about 20 weeks along so I'm pleasantly surprised. I really needed it this way this time around though. Things have been so crazy an tough in my family and sometimes I wonder why I even chose to get pregnant in midst of this chaos and then I feel a big flutter and it is very comforting. Sometimes it is the only thing that helps me refocus on moving forward. There is definitely a bond there. One I didn't get with DD, so regardless, this little one is something special.

My good friend had the same issue in her pregnancy and it continued to grow upwards and it's fine now. Hope yours does the same!

I was hoping to feel obvious movement earlier this time (although I remember flutters around 15-16 weeks), but I think I have an anterior placenta again, although I haven't had an ultrasound recently. Third time in a row, if I'm right.

Not that I'm not enjoying the heck out of it but remember, until we've had these kind of results for another year or two, stick with the 66% overall success rates of the site when deciding to sway! I don't want anyone deciding to sway on what could possibly be a run of good luck - only HT is a guarantee. :)
