Hubby wasn't able to last the abstain and we are meant to attempt Friday. What does this mean now? Should we frequent release? Or is this month out?

What length of abstain was you doing? I'm not sure if abstain is even recommended, I believe there are better results with frequent release so hopefully you are actually on a better track!

We were aiming for a 8 day and were at day 5...

If I were you I would have him do frequent release 2-3xs a day before your attempt and on Friday have him release 2xs before your attempt to lower the sperm count

Here is what I replied in your other thread, reposting for others who have the same question: It's up to you - two options. One is that you just resume the abstain. It will be ok. Abstain has not proven super effective for us anyway (better than 50-50 but only just!) Or, if you prefer you can do a hurry up FR. On the day you're having your attempt, have him release once, dump it, then DTD again as soon as he's able to (preferably within 3 hours) using only that second batch for insemination.
