View Full Version : Airborne or Spark on girl sway??

Got a + opk today and have come down with an awful cold. I have been doing LE and exercise for months. Would it be a horrible idea to take some airborne to help me get over this cold before the weekend? Normally I would power through, but we have a lot going on and I feel miserable (and either airborne or spark always help me recover).

I wouldn't. I unerstand you believe it works, but the evidence indicates that it doesn't and in fact Airborne had to pay a multi-million dollar settlement to people for false advertising. We don't know that a dose or two of vitamins harms a sway (especially at this point) but I personally would not take the chance for something that doesn't work anyway.
I am not familiar with Spark and getting tons of hits when I try to Google it, not sure what youre using but if it's similar to Airborne I'd skip it for the same reason.

Spark is a branch chain, vitamin and mineral drink that has caffeine. I am a coach for the company. I was hoping you'd say it was a boy sway drink. Lol I've been drinking it for the last three years. I definitely agree it makes you feel better when you're sick though. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170505/5fadfbb9470177a1b117e5773195b445.jpg

I'd hesitate using it for blue either though, since it does have sucralose (may sway pink) and that megadose of B vitamins may delay O for some people. We also don't know how the amino acids tend to sway, while we assume it's blue, we've seen quite a few girls conceived to heavy energy drink consumers (especially in guys who drink them) I think it's fine on occasion for blue swayers but I would not make a habit of it.

Oh and thanks for posting the nutrient data for all of us to see!! Appreciate that!

Hmm interesting BCAAs is definitely something I would have thought to be a boy sway since it helps build and maintain muscle. I just assumed since it was the building block it was a big boy sway. Most energy drinks don't have BCAAs. Have to get specific ones.
Does a delayed o sway? I hadn't found that one on here yet.
I usually do one Spark a day and so many of my fellow AdvoCare ladies are having boys. Perhaps it's all the other vitamins we take and the lifestyle meal plan we follow to be healthy that's been doing that. Hopefully it just helps my sway!! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

And just joking. It looks like there are a few energy drinks that have taurine but are lacking other essential BCCAs... sorry about that!

Please understand that it is impossible for me to study, in depth, every product that is on the market to find out how it sways. I am not saying how any of these things sway. I'm saying here are my concerns, here is my observation, the sucralose supposedly sways pink, etc. and if the spirit moves you, then it's totally at your discretion and keep us posted how it works for you! Not trying to start any arguments, it's just that unless I have a good feel for how something sways, if it's not necessary, then I tend to err on the side of leaving it out. :)

Re delayed O and swaying - it depends on WHY the O is delayed. If it's PCO-related it may sway blue. IF it's delayed for other reasons (such as low estrogen) it may sway pink. The real issue with delayed O is that it makes it pretty darn hard to get pregnant in a timely fashion if your cycles are 2-3 months long and you have no clue when the egg is gonna drop, and also because when O is delayed it often, not always but often, also seems to come hand in hand with a short LP that may cut odds of conception in and of itself. Hope this makes sense.

Sorry I totally wasn't trying to come off as argumentative... I was just curious since I know Arginine is often recommend for blue sway and that is one of the many BCAAs. So I was really just curious. [emoji8] and that is interesting about sucralose. I wonder why that is. Hopefully you just have to drink a LOT and everything else I did was good enough! Will find out soon enough.
Interesting on O too. I guess I have no idea why I have a delayed O. Mine has always been around cd 19-21. Is that even considered delayed since you mentioned 2-3 months? I didn't event realize that was possible. That is really tough... mine has always been O on day 19 or day 21 (exactly) and 13 days later start my period... would I be considered a late O? Can you tell about your estrogen just based off of temps?
Sorry for taking over this thread [emoji85] that was not my intention at all! Now I have all these questions lol

Suclarose kills healthy bacteria in the gut and ruining the microbiome will lower immunity and therefore have other (negative) effects on health overall. For some it is very noticeable, for others it takes a loooooong time.
The only reason I point that out is because taking probiotics tend to sway blue (and it is important to note that this promotes a healthy microbiome and this is key for good health), so this is what sticks out to me as a nutritionist :)

lol yeah I took and continue to take a great probiotic. Not for reasons of Sucralose (If you look close enough so many things including gum have it), but because it has changed my overall health and life. I believe everyone should be on a probiotic. It is so so good for your gut! And we definitely have the best one. Happy to hear probiotics help for a boy sway!

I understand and I'm just explaining that I simply can't know some of these things. :)
What you guys have to understand is that there are theories of swaying, and then there are observations that we make. The theories of swaying are 99% bullshit that sounds great on paper but have NEVER really been investigated at all. So things like "wow let's all ingest amino acids to raise our T levels and sway blue" sounds great. But we don't even KNOW that high T levels actually sway blue. It's only a theory and not at all proven, and in fact some evidence (such as, Clomid raising T levels yet swaying strongly pink) casts some doubt onto this theory. And male T levels = more boys is even LESS proven and yet everyone just totally buys into the idea.
So I tend to put at least as much stock into the things I've seen with my own two eyes - like men drinking energy drinks = girls conceived, even if, on paper, they should raise T and thus sway blue, the fact is we have no clue how any of this even works and for all we know some things have negative effects that may undermine their good effects, etc.
L-arginine, for example, was something we originally used until I saw several people (women) taking it and their cycles went berserk and they ended up conceiving girls in the end. Maybe this was because they gave up on swaying, maybe it was the effect of the l-arg...I just cannot know but I cannot recommend things unless I've seen people using them in a real world application because the theories are based on such slim and improbable data that I refuse to focus on them at the expense of keeping an open mind towards things possibly working entirely differently than we first thought.
RE sucralose it was supposed to lower pH. I do not know if it really does anything or not.

Great thanks so much Atomic for clarifying. Thank makes a lot more sense. All of this is just in theory and based on what you've seen work or not. Thanks for clarifying and your time!

No problem, thanks for bringing it all up so I have the chance to clarify.
Everyone assumes that there are studies with blood tests or some sort of hard evidence that proves this stuff but there isn't. There is speculation done by 2 researchers, one of whom doesn't even DO studies and just goes through other studies and carefully selects data to support his claims while ignoring everything else, and the other researcher bases this all off of results on a personality test. NOT a blood test, a personality test. The problem is, testosterone has been repeatedly shown to have NO effects on a woman's personality so the results she was getting with her personality test really proved nothing at all about what any of these women's testosterone levels were.
