Hi all!
Considering that my sway has not been very good (I have completely failed the LE diet and I snak all the time) should I add another attempt at positive OPK?
We BD on wednesday and I got a faint opk line on thursday and a dark one on friday (today). DH is going away in the weekend so we have maybe a chance of one more attempt saturday morning. This would be 3 days after last BD, lowering the chances of pink, right?
Cheers!

If you're not sticking to LE diet, then I wouldn't add an extra attempt.

If you're not in a huge rush the recommendation is only one attempt in your fertile window. If you're got +opk Friday you'll likely O Saturday so the Wednesday attempt probably covers you. Assuming he's back Sunday night you could BD then which is e4d and will cover you incase of delayed O.

Thanks for the replies girls!
Oh, DH will be gone for 5 days, so no chance of another attempt later on :( If we keep it on one attempt wednesday, isnt this the same as Shettlers? As I can read in the forums Shettlers has failed most people.

One attempt is what sways, and it is possible to get pregnant with one attempt 3 days before O so since you're not solid on diet I'd probably just stick with that this month

Just because Shettles doesn't work, doesn't mean that doing Shettles therefore sways blue. It just doesn't do anything, people who are more set for girls will have more girls, people more set for boys will have more boys. The day you DTD just doesn't matter.

Thanks for the reply atomic!
I did not want to miss this month, so we ended up with another attempt today (saturday). I am 39 and have been ttc for 8 months, this was the first time I got an opk! (and the first time I tested at night). I gave up on the LE diet a while ago, at least the 2-meals-per-day part, else Iam vegeterian and on metformin. I also read somewhere that 4 weeks on LE does not get great results? (Thats when I found you guys)
I hope I didn't ruin my chances for a girl with the extra attempt. I have been obsessing a bit about o-dates and frewuency, and this sways also blue unfortunatelly.
Atomic, may I ask why you dont recommend visualization?

At 39 and having been TTC for 8 months, you needed to have another attempt, sorry I didn't catch your age and the length of time you'd been TTC.

LE Diet is NOT 2 meals a day. You can have 2 or 3 meals a day, whichever works better for you. I always had 3, just pushed back breakfast a few hours but still had 3 meals in the remaining time.

I do not recommend visualization because it doesn't work and in fact it undermines your sway because the more people sit around thinking about swaying and their baby girls, it does something to your body chemistry (the mental element) to sway blue. I find again and again that the people who upend their entire life and think about swaying all the time get opposites, and the people who treat swaying as a lifestyle change but don't dwell on it all day, day in and out, are more likely to have successful sways.
