Ohh I'm annoyed right now over something silly! I have a great family & they mean well. We just had a 1st bday celebration for my niece today. Of course, family/friends like to ask "are you trying for the girl" or "are you having anymore" etc. Got the comments again today & I just smile & say "ohh 1 more-sometime in the future." Well my brother jokingly said "well you know you can't control the gender, right-you just can't-it's impossible." I haven't talked to my family about swaying. They just know that I'd like a girl. I don't like people telling me what I can't do...so I wish some people would just keep their "funny" comments to themselves! Now I feel like I have to prove myself or I'm going to be the butt of a joke. I'm not telling them about my swaying, but now feel more pressure on myself so I can say "seee, I CAN have a girl if I want." Ughhh-end rant....thanks for listening!!

Lola, I'm so sorry!! People honestly don't think before they say some things. Totally agree with XX to keep swaying and prove them all wrong! :)

My mom is fully in the loop with our ttc and knows that I was going to be testing over the weekend...she asked me on the phone if I had taken my test yet and I completely broke down. I know it's only 10dpo and still early, but I'm not feeling it for this cycle. After AF comes, I'll finally be able to go in for my u/s and start femera/clomid, so at least that's good. I'm the biggest believer in "everything happens for a reason", and maybe all these BFN's will make me appreciate a BFP that much more (girl or boy!).

Thanks, Ash!! Yes, I'll test again tomorrow and probably until AF comes (which I guess would be in a couple days). I just went back and looked at the tests again and opk is slightly darker and there is the faintest, faintest double line on the hcg, but not dark enough to convince me that I'm pregnant. Does that qualify as a chemical? I'm new to this and trying to understand my body and the process a bit more.

Max I had a chemical 3 months ago and had a faint line with extra days in my lp to 16 (it's normally 11-12LP) until I finally got AF on cd30 which was only slightly delayed AF for me. If the line is barely there through AF and AF is just slightly late but does come, I'd say it's likely a chemical.
But I think your lines are going to darken. Mine took 4 days to look like a recognizable BFP. You're not out til you're out.

Kat-I am ttc this cycle, but I'm not really that excited about it. I didn't get to the dr before AF, so too late to try Clomid/Femara this cycle...so I haven't done anything different to help.
Max-let's see a pic! If there's a faint line at 10dpo, then you have a great chance at it getting darker over the next couple of days!! FX!!!! My chemical stayed faint on hpt's & then AF showed 2-3 days late. I broke down in my car today after the birthday party & I haven't had a good cry in a long time. I know how you feel. I'm going to the dr in 2 days, so maybe we can try femera/Clomid together [emoji4] Hoping this will be your cycle & you won't even need it though!

Max I can see the line without adjusting anything but here is the inverted pic. Can you post a pic of this mornings test on its own? Remember that test sensitivity varies from test to test. But in saying that I would think you'd see a definate line by 2 days time. Hopefully tomorrow. Or test again today. Do a hold now. Test today. Do it!!!!!! So was the frer stark at your end? Hmmm not picking it up enough to show conclusively like the first one. I will wait for your next test instead :) and no I don't hae a million things to do and this is a good distraction for me as I woke up with no nausea and barely sore bbs so I'm freaking out abit. Have made an appt tomorrow for more bloodwork plus I'll get my ob and 7 week scan referral. Will ask gp to put a rush on the quant hcg so I'll have the results by Wednesday morning hopefully.

Sorry guys, i will catch up on your posts later tonight. Have been out with the in-law for Mother's day. I was asked on when we would have baby since we are married for couple years already lol....dh said maybe next year or so since he wants to enjoy newlywed life a bit longer. So that will help put off some pressures off of us for now.

Here is my 4pm test. Top one is wondfo, bottom is easy@home. Since i have a few of easy@home, just testing to see what is different between the 2 brands. They seem to match closely. Wondfo is a bit clearly/darker

Shinay-that was smart to say to the in-laws to keep the pressure off. I usually say "oh we'll see, maybe this summer" but don't think I bought myself enough time haha. Those OPKs look pretty much the same.
Pbn-I'm sure everything is just fine, but glad you are getting bw!! I didn't have MS until 6 weeks with DS1 and barely any MS with DS2. In fact, I was worried since I was feeling pretty good, but all was well :) Praying for you, BIG HUGS!
Max-as pbn mentioned, it's very possible that you are only 9dpo, so don't give up hope yet. Excited to see what the next couple of days bring. Fx so hard!

Pbn – symptoms are not something to gauge the viability of your pregnancy – I’m sure this is a sticky –I know that 1st u/s seems like it’s forever away…. eagerly waiting with you for the results –and waiting with you until that u/s!
Yep, I think I’ll get cross hairs in the next couple of days if temp stays higher – and then the waiting game truly will be on! :D It’s funny though, I’ve always known straight up when I was pregnant, like literally within days of conception, just had that feeling (even though egg might not even had implanted by then lol) but can’t shake the feeling this is not our month. I guess if not, we’ll just take this is as a “trial” month and the next will be it – let’s stay positive! :)

Thanks for your support ladies! I'm kind of at a loss here. I know I was younger when I conceived DD1/2, but I could have never imagined that it would take me this long to try unsuccessfully for a third. My sisters all got pregnant first try, as well as my mom with her 4, and so it's just strange to me. I know that we are EXTREMELY lucky, don't get me wrong...it's just strange and I'm trying to figure out what could have changed. The only two things that I can think of: 1) my husband got on celexa back in January. He has a verrrrry stressful job and it has done wonders for making him relax and think through things more clearly, so not sure that I can ask him to get off of it, but wondering if that is somehow messing with the sperm? Of course it has to be him, not me! :giggle: 2) when I was pregnant with DD2, I found out that my uterine lining was thin at 25 weeks as I started having contractions. I was monitored weekly to make sure that I wouldn't go into labor early. When I went into my u/s several months ago, the lady also mentioned thin uterine lining. Last cycle, I got a very faint line on hcg, as well as this cycle. I wonder if the sperm is meeting the egg, but just not implanting correctly due to that? If anyone knows about either of these scenarios (or atomic if you're reading this), could you please give me your 2 cents?

I'm going to call my ob tomorrow or the next day once AF starts to schedule my u/s. I'm sad, but definitely not giving up! I need to talk to DH tonight, not sure how excited he is going to be to try for another month, as well as clomid/femera, especially since we initially agreed to trying for just one month! Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks ladies! Hope everyone else is having a good morning/day!

Pbn - YAY for earlier appt!!

Max - I think you should call your OB and see what they will check. You *might* need to fib about numbers of months you've been trying if you've only been trying 1 month, did I read that right?? Usually they will want to confirm you are ovulating and make sure your tubes aren't blocked. But, ask about the lining. I had a chemical 3 years ago, lost baby at 5 1/2 weeks, as earlier as that was I was devastated and these are all the things they were going to check along with progesterone. I got pregnant before I got checked though. She also wanted to do a SA on my husband, but again we never got around to it. My OB said I need to say I had been trying for 6 months for insurance, when it had only been 2. I think my tears helped her fib [emoji12] I think you need to talk to your husband first though and see if he's on board. Im (again) are in the same situation in that my husband said this month and next because he's training super hard for a climb in July and doesn't want added pressure of TTC. I'm telling myself I'm at peace with that, but I won't really know until then.

It's so easy for others on the outside looking in to think that we already have it all. Like you said, we are sooo lucky to have our amazing kiddos!! I am thankful for what I have every single day!! Also Lola - I will say with my 2nd DD it took me 5 months to get pregnant bc we were basically getting 1 attempt in at O (girl sway). I wasn't swaying, was 50/50 on wanting girl/boy, but we just didn't have sex but once/twice a week and I didn't really want to change anything to get pregnant. But I'm wondering if that might be why it's taking you longer than normal since in the past you were doing more attempts. Don't change your BD routine though - I want you to get your girl [emoji175][emoji175][emoji175] Is your appt tomorrow about TTC or just your annual?

Max – so sorry that this doesn’t look like a bfp :( – definitely worth having a chat with your OB – if your lining is a bit thin then progesterone supplements might just do the trick for you! I have been on those for both my pregnancies until the end of the 1st trimester and am convinced that is what helped my bubs be sticky – the one pregnancy I didn’t get progesterone (as was not a medicated cycle and not seeing my fertility specialist) I lost so if your lining is thin, it may be your progesterone levels are a tad low. Did you get pregnant 1st try with both your girls? (if so, wow, am impressed, can’t imagine being so fertile one day haha).
Chin up, you’ll get that sweet girl soon - I read somewhere that baby is just not ready to meet you yet, this is just a delay, not a stop on the road to get you to meet - you will get that beautiful sister for your girls – big hugs!

Sky – thanks for asking – all good, temp continues to be high-ish so O should be confirmed on the chart tomorrow – the only bummer is that if no BFP this cycle and AF shows up, it probably will be juuust as am away for a conference in Sydney and hence have to be available all day (I have a 6am flight – will be up at 4 …gah) for 2 days – and won’t be able to do my usual take it easy, pop the pain relief pills and hot water bottle and jammies on at night (endometriosis makes my AF very painful) lol
It’s just waiting now – too early to know what the go is – in a week’s time I may be able to start feeling one way or another – and verdict time cannot come fast enough :)

Faint lines-they were def pink & noticeable-they just never got darker and AF showed :( The only person I told was DH & I did surprise him. It was the day after DS2's Birthday & I told him that there was another present for the boys. They each pulled out a "big brother" shirt and a toy car (b/c I knew they wouldn't be too excited about the shirt). They are 2 & 3 so it went over their heads, but DH caught on right away & he was so excited. I wish I could post the video somehow...

Ash-try not to worry (easier said than done I know!). You're still in the early stages & may not feel anything right now. I've mentioned this before & don't want to sound like a broken record, but I didn't feel anything until 6 weeks, then had bad MS until 15 weeks. I had terrible food aversions. For DS2, I barely had any MS at all, but everything was just fine [emoji170] Praying that all goes well with you & that this is your sweet baby girl [emoji175]Each day is getting you closer to your appt [emoji4]
For my CP, my DH was disappointed, but he's better at following the "everything happens for a reason" saying. I believe it, but doesn't seem to make it any easier for me.

I have been to the DRS. They want fasting bloods so I won't be able to get those til Thursday morning however my ultrasound is booked in tmro afternoon. As well as beta hcg she is doing a whole bunch of other tests and hormones. Pap smear is up to date too.

I said to her if it wasn't for my af id think I was pg. And would you believe it, ive had nausea start last night at work on and off and tmi those strange sharp cervix twangs you get in the early pg. Im not sure if my boys are sharing germs but none of them appear to be sick atm. Its likely some strange horrible coincidence. Im just hoping im not getting some horrid vomiting bug as i have 1 more night left.

I haven't pee'd on a stick since yesterday and it was questionable faint line. Ill just wait for all my test results

Wow! I feel like I've just spent the last hour or so in the 'Twilight Zone'....

Not sure if anyone remembers but my usual gp is away till June so another doctor wrote the request for my bloods last week. So I booked to see her today. I get in there and tell her my symtoms seem to be fading since yesterday so could she write me another set of 48 bloods as well as the initial blood screening plus the referrals. This is where things got weird..... we had just gone through my mc history and she says to me 'are you trying to have a girl?' WTF!!!!!!!!! I said I couldn't care less if the baby was genderless as long as it stuck. She had a giggle then went on to tell me about when her cousin got pregnant she only wanted a girl and flat out did not want to have a boy. When her aunty (my doc's mother) told her she looked like she was carrying a boy her cousin booked an abortion but changed her mind. Meanwhile I'm shocked at where our consult has gone 😮 and said 'well it's out of your control what gender you have' to which she replied 'actually you can choose what gender you have. It's common practice in my country (Iran) there are cleanses (I bet she's referring to douching) and foods you can eat that are scientifically proven to choose gender. So now I'm thinking to myself hmmm I wonder what your username on gd site is 😂😂😂. I said to her then well there must be opposites regardless because otherwise there'd be problems with gender ratio to which she replied she thinks it's an unethical practice anyway.....end of consult.
I got my blood taken, went out to the car and burst out laughing!!! I even pinched myself to make sure I wasn't asleep and didn't dream that whole whacky appointment 😂😂😂

I should have my results in about 3-4 hours hopefully.

Hello Hun, sorry to barge in but it's worth noting that after your hug levels get to a certain number (which could be as low as the 1000's) the doubling time can then take longer than 48hrs, and you are still all good! :) good luck for your scan (are you having it at 6 or 7 weeks gestation?) x

Hi thanks kittybear! The numbers usually slow once they reach 6000 apparently :) I'll be getting my scan at 7 weeks gestation in hope of seeing a strong heartbeat. One of my mc's I had a scan at 6w4d and heartbeat was 102 which I initially thought was low but the u/s tech and my ob both said its fine. Turned out it wasn't in that case so really hoping for the reassurance of a strong hb this time :) Thank you for your message and feel free to drop in anytime!

I think this cycle is another cp. stick above is dried 10dpo, below is the 12dpo test I just took. 10 has a very faint double line, 12 does not. Calling my dr early this am for my clomid/femera and u/s.

Maxim you may want to ask for amh, fsh and lh testing done usually on cd3. As you probably know, progesterone is tested 7-9dpo (alot of people call it cd21 testing but that is assuming you have a 28 day cycle and o cd14). When is you appt?

So I just left my appt & I haven't read all the updates yet, but will def come back to read later! It was great to see my OB-he delivered both babies & I feel he is very knowledgeable. I think very highly of him & I told him every little thing that was going on. I had bw done today and scheduled a CD21 bw appt and an ultrasound to see if I'm ovulating, which he feels I am based on me mentioned my temps & pos OPKs. We discussed meds & he only recommends Clomid or Femara for anovulation, so I didn't get my hands on Plan B wahh :( He said that in studies, it didn't really help if unknown fertility was the issue. He believes that I will get pregnant in the next few months. He mentioned that he could refer me to a fertility specialist now or wait & see. I didn't discuss my swaying plans at all, but funny thing is...he has 2 girls same age as my boys and wants a boy haha. Anyway, I'm not especially excited about this next cycle, but I'm going to continue moving forward & give it my best shot! If not, I already have plan C in the works ;)
I'll check in on updates as soon as I get my boys home & settled!

This morning, my cat woke me up at 4:30am so i took temp and it was 96.4 and i fell back asleep and woke up again at 6am, took temp again and it is 97.1. Shinay that does look pos but your likely right at the beggining of your peak surge. I think tomorrow's will be darker and pos on the digi (maybe even later today as Ash mentioned) the beauty of it is you're swaying blue so just go for it!!! You'll be easily covered for attempts regardless whether you o tomorrow or the following day. So if you dtd tonight and again tomorrow night you'll either have 3-o, 2-o and 1-o attempts or 2-o, 1-o and o days attempts, that's just a suggestion though, chuck in an a.m bd somewhere there instead if thats your plan! It's a win win!!!! So so so happy to see this!!!! Vj vaca coming up!!!!!

Well, temp is up this am – so got cross hairs which confirm O on CD13 (earliest this has ever happened to me without Clomid!) – but last night was baaaad, and was up a fair bit (thanks kiddies for being a pain and calling for no valid reason , I love you more than anything in the world but grrr) – have kept the temp though as got about 2.30-3hrs sleep after I got up the last time during the night…. Hopefully can actually manage to stay awake and get through my work day, though I feel like crashing on my desk for a big snooze lol I have got myself a massive cuppa (tea and milk – ooooh how I would love a coffee) so hopefully that will help me gear up ^^

Shinay back to your question regarding late ovulation being linked to miscarriage. So there's no definate answer, some doctors or studies seem to indicate there may be a link, the reasoning being the egg has started to die off or is too mature before being released. BUT on the other hand there's also the belief that sometimes the egg isn't ready earlier and needs more time than normal to be ready to be released. Some people just naturally o late. There are people who have ovulated cd28/29 (just as an example) that go on to have a perfectly normal pregnancy and baby.

I like to think your body just needed that extra little time to perfect your egg and its now ready and waiting to be fertilised when it releases within the next 48 hours :)

If it is a concern for you though and this cycle doesn't result in a bfp (but it will!!) then maybe create a thread asking atomic on her suggestions to bring o forward naturally. I think vitex can help but I also think she's steering away from its use (I may be wrong here just something is niggling my memory) plus I'm not sure if vitex is said to sway pink or blue or any way at all.

LMSM: i wanted to quit so many times, but i am afraid of doing that and O few days later and end up in pink sway. I would feel disappointed in myself for quitting too early and not try harder. So i try to have positive thoughts to keep me going. Seriously though, i am this close to drop the whole thing.

Pbn: i normally O on cd14 or 15 but since i started taking prenatals and folic acid, my O is pushed back to cd 18 or 19. I think lack of sleep and stress from moving delayed O. So i feel like this is not about egg need more time to get ready but more like it is getting old from waiting for my body to be ready so it could be released. I kinda hope i dont get a bfp this cycle. Some members in my family have miscarriage recently, and i already feel so sad and painful to think about it. Big hugs shinay xxoo. I understand but also think what is meant to be will be. People miscarry even when o is at considered normal cd. You need to put that fear aside not just now but any future cycles, try and think positively instead. Your brain has an amazing influence over your body. The truth is 1 in 3 pregnancies will result in miscarriage either a chemical (many times these happen unknown as people get their period on time or just assume their af is late if they're not ttc) or early/mid/late into the pregnancy. Fearing a miscarriage is normal but should not devour your thoughts. I am very sorry to hear of your family members losses, it can be very traumatic for all involved. I guess I'm trying to say that sometimes life sucks, is not fair and can bring you to your knees but you have to get up, get moving and believe there are better things to come. I'm completely rambling now and not even sure if I'm saying what I'm trying to say 😂😂 so I'll leave it at this. Put all your worries aside for now, at least until you see if this cycle is a bfp or bfn. You'll have plenty of time to worry (or not) about it then.

I agree with Pbn Shinay. I can tell u that everyone here has the same worries as u. I can't even imagine how emotional and worried I am going to be after a bfp. I m sorry about the mc in your family. I understand how upsetting it must be but don't let your mind go there. All of us are here for you. I have become stronger being with these wonderful ladies. Knowing their stories and seeing their courage,seeing them going above and beyond to help us. I have learnt to not fuss over things which are beyond my control and try to do the best for the ones that I can. You just try your best and come here and share your worries and vent all u can and then put up that game face on. U r not allowed to be sad alone. As Pbn would say, End of Novel. Kat – I’m just happy I seem to have O’d naturally , full stop I usually need Clomid for that (and the few times I O’d naturally never have I had O so early! even with Clomid I O on Cd12 – earliest evvvveeer I have had without drugs is CD14-15 but that was only since starting HE so diet must doing me good ^^)

GL with your move! We moved in Jan, so I def understand the chaos!! Your digi & dip stick look the way mine do! Dark on the stick, light on the digi. For me, the test line will be much darker than the control line to be positive. It looks like you're getting super close though!!
Kat-yay for OPK's! My OB didn't have an answer for the dark OPKs, but did say that he didn't believe I had PCOS since I've had regular cycle lengths. Maybe my bw or ultrasound will have some answers, but not even sure the possibilities?
Sky-we're in this together...we may not be so confident about this cycle, but we can try to give it 110%!! Fx!!

Ok I'm baaaack! That seems a little early for me to O-that's not really a good thing right? My wondfo test line usually gets really dark when I have the flashing smiley, so we'll see tomorr AM.
LMSM-Happy 2WW! Next to test yayyyy! I'm going to see what happens this cycle & just might take you up on that. That may be a little tricky though and I was leaning toward Femara. I do appreciate you thinking about me!

Ash & LMSM-so I've had several versions of my plans. Plan B was to visit OB for answers & get a Femara prescription if this cycle doesn't work. That was a fail, so B2 was praying this cycle miraculously works! Plan C1 may be to visit the fertility specialist or maybe C2 will need to be developed...all kinds of ideas are popping through my head Haha

Maxim: thank you. That makes me feel better. Can i ask what the lp is for your daughters? Like delayed O with same lp days or delayed O and lp was cut short?

Pbn: you are right. I can relax and get freaked out later if bfp or dont have to worry at all if i get bfn. It has been a worry of mine since it happened a lot in my family lately. 3 aunties had miscarriages. 1 tried for more than 10 years (normal and ivf and other solutions). I was hoping for a smooth cycle, so it kinda threw me off a bit with all the up and down this cycle. Thank you for helping me feel better. Time to test again soon.

I O’d pretty early and on CD my opk was neg (1st I did) but by next day it was very positive – so you may really not be far away – what’s your BD plan? Not overly familiair with the pink sway – is it e4d BD until O or something like that?
I will tell you what though – when TTC for my 1st, we were like 22 months of TTC at the time, I was not happy with my doctor and was looking at changing fertility specialists – so booked an appointment with a new one: I was on my 1st cycle of Clomid (with old Dr) and wanted to have a back-up in case it failed as I didn’t feel “it” with the then current Dr. The new Dr was planning on us doing IUI (and only then not IVF only because at the time there was no way we could afford it as didn’t have Medicare) straight up – but little did I know that I was already pregnant when I went for that 1st apt (like 7 dpo lol) – I think having a plan to take action upon what would come gave me a bit of confidence and allowed me to relax…so you go and plan away! :D

Ash – I used to eat well, yes, calorie wise no issues, but I used to have a very girl mom diet (not very good nutrient wise – I would eat a lot of fruit & veg yes, but very little protein (especially animal) – so would fill myself up with lots of empty carby stuff and go for extended periods without proper food – i.e. snacking on junk) … when you add Clomid to the mix, no wonder I had 2 girls lol
Haha, now I have multiple stalkers – love it! I stand no chance of sneaking in a test without you guys knowing :D

Netti – sorry I can’t see too much admittedly, but I am not a great eye squinter (is that even a thing? lol) – FX for your u/s – and that you at least get some answers very soon!

Lola: you have done so well and it sucks not to catch that egg. I am sorry to hear. Maybe your stress has delayed O after the surge so you might have missed it by a few says?. I am not so familiar with pink sway. But i think with you have some backup plans and doctor visit, that might help you feel more relaxed this cycle and bam! BFP! :)

Thanks pbn really hard to capture. I think i see it easier on the pregnosis. I should add af finished Sunday night.
The calendar is my af pattern. 4 days of spotting (unusual), 1 day medium, 1day heavy, 1 day medium then 3 days light. The triangle on the 6th May is a definite session with DH as I thought af was imminent. The other time for a potential day (pull out method) was the 29th April. Can't confirm O except the strongest positive was on the 24th April but im actually wondering if I ovulated later in the week based on CM.

Still a few hours. When i took them i definitely seen something come up in the timeframe on both. I just hate the little windows on the tests and wanted a clearer look. Can't wait to have this us. Im hoping they can actually see something... otherwise more waiting for bloodwork.

Now Waiting for an internal ultrasound. Thank heavens my bladder is empty!!! I had to partially empty twice on the way and after 5 babies happy to say my pelvic floor is still strong 🤣🤣

Shinay - my usual luteal phase is between 12-14 days, even after a delayed O! I had a cycle where I O'd on CD38 and still had to wait 12 more days after that for AF to start!

Afm, temp went down a tiny today, but is still high. IC shows another super faint line, too hard to even get in a pic, so doesn't look good for me. I'm sure AF will start in next few days, maybe even today. Booooo....

Maxim how frustrating!! That's barely a drop in temp, its still following that 'maintenance' pattern as is very small temp variance over quite a period of days. When your ob rings (hopefully today) can you ask him for a bw request for quant hcg to be left at reception so you can pick up and get it done today? Just in case?

Oh and I love hanging out here still and will continue until you are all in a ddg or I get asked to leave. Nicely. 😂😂😂😂

Max-I'm sorry! I wish this could be an easier process for us! Hope you hear from your dr this AM! My OB is young (my age) and quite funny. He says it like it is. He thinks that I'm stressing myself out with the OPKs and not enjoying the process. He said that in women 35 and older the chances of getting pregnant each cycle drops to 15%. I didn't mention my swaying plans, but in knowing that-it probably doesn't help that I'm doing things to reduce fertility as a party of my sway-e4d etc. This may be the case for you too max. Getting older stinks haha! Hope this means we're in girl territory though!!

Before taking prenatals and folic acid, my cycle was 30 days with O on cd15 or so. After, it was extended to 34-36 days and O is on cd 18-19. I had one odd cycle (44 days) like this before where i didnt O till cd 31. But it is not usual though.
