Should we have another attempt?

Hi, we are doing the E4D method and our last attempt was on Sunday when I had quite a good amount of EWCM. I've just taken an OPK just to check if I'm about to ovulate and it is blazing positive today (tues) - should I add another attempt tomorrow (e3d) or will the attempt on Sunday have a good chance? I really want to get pregnant this month but also want to do everything possible to have a girl. Advise please!!

This is one of those situations where you have to go with what your gut says. Or flip a coin and do what it says.

If you have an attempt tomorrow and you will regret things if you end up hearing boy, then I would BD when it's time to following E4D. If you have been staying well within the limits of the LE diet with limited cheats, then I would consider having an attempt tomorrow making it E3D.

YES I want you to add in that attempt. You've been at this too long now so please go ahead and have attempt today too. Then keep going with the e4d pattern!!!

But could it ruin my sway? I do want to get pregnant but this is definitely my last baby so want the best chance of having a girl.

Unfortunately, my crystal ball is in the shop and I can't tell you if you'll get pregnant this month and/or if this is good, bad, or neutral for your sway.

What I do know is that going Sunday to Tuesday is not the greatest odds of conception and if the egg dropped on Wed. that would mean most of the new batch would not even have time to capacitate (assuming you BD on Wed, I mean)

It's too late now anyway, whatever will be will be, but based on what you've told me in other threads it is time to stop putting quite as much emphasis on the sway and put more on conceiving.

You are totally right Atomic. No chance of a girl if I can't get pregnant! Ended up with just the one attempt in the end (long story but out of my control). FF is saying I ovulated Mon (day before pos opk - I didn't test that day so may have been positive aswell) but I think it was more likely tues. Either way, my attempt not too bad timing in the end but we'll see! I've kind of given up hope of ever getting pregnant to be honest! To think it was so easy with the two boys.

I'm not sure how to post it!! It actually changed it after this morning's entry to say I ovulated Tues which I agree with (ov pain that night, strong positive opk about 2pm, EWCM lessening) - my attempt was late sun night so 48 hours. Not ideal but in with a slight chance! At least my body didn't do the try to ovulate, stop then try again thing it's been doing some months...I don't hold out a lot of hope but what will be will be!
