Pbn - I'm on the 28th. Lola/Sky on the 30th. Exciting week!!

Lola - I felt amazing Tuesday, worked out so hard, think burpees and push-ups and was wondering if I was pregnant. Yes, I watch my heart rate. Then, yesterday evening/this am started feeling queasy. I'm hoping it's more to do with lack of sleep. I slept in the room with my oldest last night and didn't sleep good at all.

Atomic posted on another thread how symptoms in first trimester cannot be related to gender bc the difference in male/female fetus is so small, so don't analyze that [emoji12]

Awwww thank you xxforhubby and shannshaff!! I still cant believe it some days!! I honestly thought that I would be the one to miss out on dc3 and was really ok with it in the end! Especially after seeing so many of my fellow long term ttc'ers/mc's mommas go on to conceive and either have their babies or are well into their pregnancy! So it feels even extra special to still have you ladies around ❤ and I have such a strong connection with my group and current ttc's ❤ that I feel like I'm double dipping 😂😂

Can I tell you ladies how annoying Braxton Hicks are? I'm SO over them! I've been getting them off and on for a couple days at 12-2am! I know they are normal but at this point, I feel like she is going to fall out when she's finally ready to be born, haha!

lol....XX. I am so happy that I am not getting that yet. I get at least 2 weeks of actual contractions at the end (I have LONG early labors) and I am not looking forward to that!!! I thought the UTI I have right now was bad, but BHs for 2 hours in the middle of the night is a bit much!!!

Just got the appointment call for my nt scan! They didn't have the Friday I wanted at 11w6d but they had the 11th and I will be 12+1 even better!

Kat-that is reassuring! I was super sick with one & barely sick with the other...both boys, yet I'm still analyzing this time!!! Feeling pretty good for the most part!
Sky-that is smart to stay busy! Now that I'm on summer break, it's good & bad. Not as distracted, but trying to stay active & busy with the boys. I started to have this anxious feeling last night that made me out of breath...just thinking how sad I'll be if I don't get my girl our last baby & then feeling guilty for feeling that way!!!

Had my booking apt this morning, they took bloods but missed my vein first time so I look like a bruised pin cushion. other than that, all went as expected. Managed to get a little recording of beans heartbeat which was lovely.

Ash - I would love to believe that but Atomic responded in a post the other day that differences with nausea in the first trimester is maybe 1% higher when carrying a girl so she debunked that theory [emoji57]

Lolla- I had no ms with dd. Didn't even throw once throughout my pregnancy. I felt better than ever. So, I agree that the signs don't mean much and can be the same sometimes for both genders. I don't have any ms this time too. Just the penny taste in mouth and breathlessness and heaviness from
morning to noon. I think it may be related to the fact that I am driving dd to classes and I get a little anxious when I m about to start driving. [emoji849][emoji849]
I ate eggs when ttc as a part of blue sway and I still love eggs. [emoji12][emoji12]Dh got hungry last night as were up late after dinner and asked me to make eggs and I never eat that late but those eggs just made me drool. [emoji12][emoji12][emoji12][emoji51]So I made for myself too. [emoji52]

It's my first experience in any pregnancy group and I am feeling I am on very special place where everyone cares for each other. Love you all. Yesterday I had my first scan. Baby measured 1.7 cm at 8 weeks. After misscarriage it was great to know that everything is fine. Now my doctor gave me da ye after 4 weeks for next scan at 12 weeks.

So who is going to find out gender first? So excited.

Pbn. We have a month of Ramadan when whole day one needs to keep fasting. And after a month, we celebrate it and it's called Eid. In this day we all wear new dresses, have get togethers, lunches dinners, it's like a happy celebration like Christmas. We get three holidays for this celebration.

Pbn - I was scared I would freak out if I didn't find babes heart on the Doppler too (I have a history of losses) but thankfully I found it really easily and straight away, I think he wants me to know he's doing ok.

(Yeah he.. symptoms say girl. Instinct is screaming boy!)

Yay so many updates!! I really don't feel that bad (thank goodness) just a little nauseous from time to time! Praying it stays this minimal!! With last pregnancy it was so bad - like didn't even go away when I payed down and the only thing I wanted to eat was roman noodles, English peas, and kraft (gross) mac & cheese. If I get there again I'll be pretty sad and will definitely let y'all know! Thank you for asking [emoji3] Feel much better today bc I got good sleep and ran this AM.

Ash - I hear ya on the sex drive, mine is nonexistent [emoji51] Be kind to yourself - marriage has good phases and bad phases. I bet you'll feel better soon and you can make it up to him [emoji12]

Lolabelle - It's a Sonoline B 3MHz Doppler. I can't fault it at all, though I'd recommend watching a few YouTube videos first just to familiarise yourself with placenta sounds versus artery sounds versus baby heart to make it easier.

For me I tend to find the heartbeat about an inch left of centre and about an inch higher than my pubic line which surprised me because it's higher than I expected at this stage but I guess since I've had so many babies or something?

I'm loving seeing/reading how you're all announcing. We haven't even thought about it yet. Maybe I just won't and I'll see if anyone notices as I get bigger and bigger :shrug:

I went back & deleted after a day & hope the world didn't see...I'm a little paranoid!! You could always message all of us! I wonder if group messages are possible? Never tried! Glad you're not feeling as nauseous! Every now & then I'll feel a little queasy & light-headed a good bit when I stand up too fast.

So this is going to sound dumb, but I have 2 very active & playful boys. They jump on each other & me ugh! Today, DS2 (2 yrs) hopped up on the couch and firmly stepped on my abdomen. Lola I'm the opposite (worry wart) and would try your hardest to keep your abdomen unstepped on (lol boys!) and even restrict heavy lifting. Its such a delicate time these first few weeks! Lolla - I am also a worry wart and I try to stay safe too. Just because we have bn hearing that first 3 months are crucial so that's kind of embedded in the mind. Sky my next movements are nipt test on Monday 26th, nuchal scan (12w scan) on the 4th July and obs appt 6th July. I'm going to hold off telling the boys and anyone else until after the nipt results which I'll hopefully have back for my obs appt :) I'm feeling good! Still feel bleh late night and early morning but great during the day. My bbs are sooo sore still and quite often get bumped by the boys climbing on me 😭😭 plus I'm really tired especially by afternoon when there's no chance of resting 😂😂 I am so so so excited to tell the boys and cant wait for them to see a big tummy and see and feel baby move. It's going to be so special to share this with them ❤ Gosh I wish we could just go to sleep and wake up and yours, Lola's and Kat's dating scans!!!!! Time has just slowed to a crawl 😂 I know you were really worried about ms earlier, how are things with that? Still feeling ok?

I dreamt I saw obvious girl parts and it was a girl but dreaming usually means opposite I heard? In my DD's case I dreamt she was a boy every time...when she came out....a girl!! So hoping it's true a 2nd time round.

You could still tell her just before the ultrasound with your reading plan and then it'll be special to see the baby(babies) at the U/S!

Kat-I'm actually 6 weeks on Monday, so you're a little ahead of me! I'm feeling a little nauseous when I wake up & have an empty stomach, but other than that ok for the most party. Feel queasy & light-headed at times. I feel really tired, everything smells really strong-mostly bad & don't have any specific cravings/aversions yet, but when I went grocery shopping yesterday, everything looked good (vegetarian). Not trying to save Bambi as a vegetarian (although it's a plus), I've just always been a picky eater 🤣 The smell of meat particularly repulses me now!!

Not sure why I always have these nightmares about snakes...def don't like snakes, but don't have a fear of them (unless it's poisonous & chasing me lol). I'll go look at them up close behind glass cages [emoji12]So get this, we went to the serpentarium last week and there were over 100 snakes in an OPEN exhibit. They were up in trees & seemed like they could easily fall out of the exhibit ewww. There's was an OPEN venomous exhibit which just blew my mind! They were in a tall concrete pool like exhibit that you looked into & they couldn't slither out, but def unsettling that it was open! I won't freak you out with snake pics, but just to give you an idea of how it was set...you would have completely hated it!

Kat-that's the plan to wait until I know gender! It's going to be tough after my 1st appt since I'll prob see family on July 4th, but the end of July is not that much later if I can hold out!! Lola - my nausea is so weird. It literally comes in waves. Felt bad right after breakfast, but great from 11-3. Hit again and felt bad off and on until now. I'm definitely scared to eat a lot as I know that will make it worse. Bacon made me want to yak this AM and I've had a blt for lunch Monday-Friday. Had cheese pizza for lunch and it taste like a million dollars [emoji23] I'm definitely not eating anything that doesn't sound good. Hamburgers are my favorite and I couldn't finish mine tonight.

Me too sky-I worry every time I go to the bathroom that I'm going to see spotting ugh. I keep telling myself that knowing gender will give me some control & that I can wait. If it's a girl, I will be SO excited to tell! If it's another boy, I'll have to think about how I tell everyone so I don't hear "told ya so" or "once you have one, you usually have another" or "it's the guy's fault" or "you can't control gender" or "prissy you with 3 boys haha" or "you'll really have your hands full now" ;)
Kat-We made homemade cheese pizza & it was awesome! I've mostly been eating noodles or rice, just have that hungover feeling and nauseous when my stomach feels empty. Hope the nausea doesn't last long for you! Don't blame you for sticking with "safe" foods so you don't trigger nausea.
Also, I have to get up & pee at least once every night now, sometimes more if I'm having trouble sleeping!

Hope everyone in the us celebrated a happy Father's Day ! We woke up went to church then to a family fish fry and just did get home! I feel so much better today I think it's just getting out of the house and being outside that helps. Or maybe it was the grazing on food all day and not letting myself get hungry. [emoji200]! All the men were drinking today and chatting and playing games and all the kids were kinda just left to swim and play together. And here is my hubby (the odd ball) gathering up all the kids to play a football game! Ash I'm about to do mine as I'm close enough I reckon 😂😂 so drop a tablespoon or two (I used two) into a cup or container and add pee. If it fizzes like a shook up softdrink its meant to mean boy and if it does nothing then girl. I decided that I had all of the boy clothes, I'd just have fun shopping if it was a girl..no big deal! I remember going into my 16 week appt & my OB couldn't find the heartbeat right away & my heart started to sink! Knowing my anxiety, my OB took me straight to the U/S machine & there it was beating away! He said it can take some time with the doppler sometimes.

Lola how long did it take to get to you? I have not been able to hear heartbeat yet because my first app they had to use the portable u/s machine and it didn't have noise so I'm anxious! I know it's just a wives tale but I'll be able to stay up with how fast or slow it is. All my boys followed the tale of slow heart rate. Though it was fast until about 20 weeks

Sumbal I should ha e results from nipt and nuchal scan for my next ob appt on the 6th July. Even though we've opted to include gender on the testing I want to stay team green. The only way I would confirm gender if is the ultrasound tech slips again or I see an obvious nub at my scan. Going to do my very best not to see anything but bubs face as I want a surprise at birth so very much!!

Kat it seemed to work for my friend! Even her SIL who organised her baby shower knew 😕 which I'm guessing means MIL knew..... so we were playing a gender guessing game and SIL was like 'well I can't guess because I know' *giggle giggle (was abit strange 😂)

Lola not sure how the visual table doesn't line up with the written info? If both your age and month of conception were either both even numbers (eg your 34 and concieved in April 4th month) or odd (your 35 and conceived in May 5th month) then that guesses girl but if one of the them are odd and one even (eg. Your are 35 and month conceived was April (so 4) or 34 and month conceived was May 5th month then it guesses boy :)

Ash that's exactly what mine did!!!! When I did this test last year and it frothed away I was only 7/8 weeks'ish I think which is too early to do it apparently. Even though its baloney I'm pretty sure its done at 10 weeks (or after?) because gender is 'known' then? Will be interesting to see if anyone gets fizz!!!

Ok I officially have 'smell' aversions happening. Yesterday all I could smell in my kitchen and on my benchtops was yukky, damp, old chux smell even though I'd not long started a new one. So got a new one out again yesterday afternoon but by this morning the bad chux smell is even worse. So bye bye chux and from now on all surfaces will be wiped with disinfectant wipes only (I used to use both) and any dishes that don't fit in dishwasher will need to be washed with a dish scrub brush. Going shopping for one this morning and dh is going to think I'm going nuts 😂

Oh and since last night nothing is appealing food wise finally!!! I managed some toast this morning but could've easily gone without 😕 Not sick, just nothing sounds agreeable in my head lol. Cant say I'm unhappy about that because I have been eating like a horse! Looking forward to bland (by that I mean healthier 😂😂) food and less of it!

Pbn-there must be a typo on the Mayan calendar check it out. I'm 38(Even) and conceived in May(5-Odd) and that means Boy, but then look at the chart, it says girl! And smells-ugh I feel ya! Ash-also, I ordered the Doppler on Friday & got it today (Monday)!!! Pretty fast!!!
Sumbal-I hope the Doppler is safe, I'll have to research that more, but I have known others that used one without issues. I also have a retroverted uterus & discovered it with DS1. It's basically just a tilted uterus-it tilts back towards the pelvis & it didn't cause any issues with my pregnancy. It usually corrects itself as baby grows as mine did. Glad you aren't fasting b/c that would be so tough in the early stages of pregnancy! And ugh the snake dreams :( Hope we don't have anymore...they're so real & scary!

Sumbal-I researched a little about Dopplers and it says that they are regulated by the FDA & approved for use at home. It says to use it in short intervals no longer than 10 minutes. It also cautions to not use it for reassurance (which is why I want it [emoji15]) b/c it can give a false sense of security...for example, if someone has concerns that baby isn't moving much, but finds heartbeat w/Doppler & then doesn't seek help from OB when they should...

something strange is happening with me. I am quite neat and clean person but from 2-3 weeks, i am feeling very different body odor, its like medicine smell. its happening first time with me but seriously its killing me. I started using mine around 9 weeks I think.

Re safety the main cautions are because people use them to cHeck babies heart when they have reduced movement, which is essentially like finding someone passed out on the street and deciding they're fine because they have a pulse.. Once there's movement THAT is always the best indicator of how babe is doing, any reduced movement should be checked.

I always stop using mine once I can feel regular movements anyway though.

I properly gave myself a heart attack with mine yesterday, found babe beating away about 2 inches left of belly button.. Then found him again about 2 inches RIGHT of my belly button within a minute. I had a complete 'oh crap' moment. Haha! Googling tells me it happens though so I'm less wigged out now. What an idiot! :D

Afm the past three solid days I've been having some pretty bad stomach pain which I'm sure was a build up of stomach acid or more unlikely an ulcer. I had gall bladder removed after ds1 and have never had normal digestive since. The pain has been so bad I wasn't able to lay down and sleep [emoji42] so before calling the dr I changed my diet to acid/ulcer friendly which is bland bland and more bland and small meals more often. And it worked! I slept last night for the first time in 3 nights and I feel much better and can take deep breaths today. Bonus! I lost two pounds [emoji2] so looks like being pregnant is going to possibly flare up stomach issues so I'll be eating healthier which is probably not a bad thing. Maybe I can not gain as much this way. And I haven't felt nauseous the past two days!! That's huge

I was a part of a due date group in BabyCenter then and those ladies posted a couple of trailer videos and dh and I watched the series together. It was so much fun. It's about the labor and delivery ward in a hospital and they showed a few couples in each episode who are due and going into labor and having their babies. It was hilarious and so emotional.

Sky and Lola I used to watch OBEM religiously when I was pregnant with ds2! I was fantasizing that I would experience natural birth via vbac. I stopped watching it when I learnt that was off the cards as it hits too hard in the heart knowing I wont get to experience it :) I wont bother ringing for results of nipt as my ob appt is the following weel on the 6th so I'll get them then. Sky I just ate oatmeal, subway for lunch but only ate half so I could eat the other half later for snack, and for dinner I had plain spaghetti noodles with turkey meatballs and parm. Cheese. If I ever feel like meat it's turkey breast or plain grilled chicken. No acidic foods and more live/green stuff is what I'm going for. I had eaten a lot of fresh pineapple before my stomach started acting up so I'm going to have to cut back on that. I've been craving pizza like mad so I take a whole wheat tortilla and put on no salt added tomato sauce, pineapple, mushrooms, and ham with a tad mozzarella cheese pop it in the oven for a few mins... mmmm so so yummy!

Ash - Try making a pizza on baked potato it's good too! I can't pinpoint what is causing my nausea. It's worst in the morning right when I wake up, but it's 12 hours since I've eaten so I guess that's to be expected.

I don't think my problem is acidic good bc I had balsamic vinaigrette on a salad at lunch with an orange and I felt great afterwards. I'm trying to go bland, but had a spicy beef taco for dinner that was [emoji1316] Pregnancy is so weird!!

Sky-I feel like I have no patience with my boys these day, so I know what you mean about feeling irritated easily! They have so much energy & I have no energy right now lol. DS2 likes to open all of my bathroom drawers & take everything out when I'm trying to get ready. Today he dug his fingers into my eyeshadow kit & got it all over his clothes, hands, the floors etc ugh. Within the last week, they've knocked the pottery barn fruit bowl off the table & broke that & somehow bent the poles to their new teepee & it now it won't stand up grrr! What am I going to do if I have another boy?? [emoji15]

I scanned all the updates really quick so I'm sure I missed a ton but looks like everyone is progressing beautifully. I'm so excited for you all and to see some more scans and hear gender confirmation.

So ER doc did a quick scan and I got to see babies heartbeat which looked good (he could only do a count in his head as couldn't or didn't know how to record rate on u/s machine) and bub was moving. They've ordered bw and I'll just see my ob again. I just hope the spotting doesn't increase to bleeding. I know brownish colour indicates old blood but it looks just like what I get before af starts plus the clot really got to me. I've also had dull cramping and on/off sharp stabbing pain in the lower abdomen. Probably will freak out at any little thing this whole pregnancy 😩 Anyway hope to get bw results from obs office tomorrow...

Then after they were perfectly awful in the grocery store, I was reminded that we are sooo not ready for Disney lol.

Lola we went when I was 34 weeks pregnant with ds3 [emoji23] and my older boys were 5 and 6 It was the perfect age! If trying to figure out how I can take all 5 [emoji3] it'll cost about 10k the way I like to Disney! Might have to skip a year of vacation to splurge on a big year but we're thinking of taking all 5 to Mexico next June.... I'll be regretting that before we even catch the flight lol.
