Sky I meant to say before that I'm super lucky with ms. I only feel it a bit when I first wake up and sometimes at night or here and there during the day. It's worrying but my numbers are good and bbs super sore so I'm just waiting for my 7 week scan now and trying not to think about things too hard till then :)

So, I have an ultrasound scheduled for June 8th so my OB to make sure I'm ovulating etc. Depending on when I O, I'll start POAS around May 29th or 30th-deja vu...or is it Groundhog Day lol, feel like I was just POAS & staring at faint lines. I will be ecstatic when I can look at my test and without a doubt say that there are 2 lines!

Thank you Ash & Pbn. I have always been pretty good at control my stress but lots of things happened this cycle. The longest cycle i have ever had is O on cd31. Maybe this will be the same. We shall see. But i lost hope for this cycle. I wish my period would just come so i can start fresh again!

Kat, I just started vag temping this cycle and my DH hasn't caught on yet. But it IS super weird to me also... DH brought up the clomid this morning, but in a joking sweet way. He's honestly been so great throughout this process, I'm shocked! We got a babysitter tonight and will go out to dinner so I plan on getting him to agree to have me take it one cycle and "see what happens". Begging him not to call the OB on Monday. He's the sweetest, but being a prosecutor he can tend to ask questions that don't come off the best....I'm worried the OB will fire me as a patient! [emoji12]

Hiii-popping in from paradise!
Haha Max, I can just imagine the questions being asked like a prosecutor lol! Do you know what he wants to ask? My dad is an attending dr at the hospital where I always deliver. He has been there at least 38 years! I had a scheduled c-section and he wanted the head of the OB dept (his colleague) there overseeing my dr (who is my age) as well as a specific anesthesiologist. I felt bad for my OB, but I did have very good care. He handled my dad's controlling ways very well haha. I'm sure they're used to dealing with all types of people.
Kat-so I'm sure others will chime in b/c I bend the rules slightly for temping, but it has still worked as long as I take my temp around the exact same & as soon as I wake up. When I first wake up, I go straight to the bathroom without moving too much, no stops on the way, & just stick it in lol. My temps may be a little higher b/c of this, but I have found that it stays around the same temp daily & does go up when I O.
Shinay-I have to work Monday, so we had planned to drive back extra early Mon. Maybe we'll just go back Sun evening-not sure yet. They will understand since I do have to work.
Pbn-It's family-parents, brothers, their wives and 2 baby nieces. If it were friends, It wouldn't be as awkward. I will make it happen somehow though b/c I feel pretty certain I'm about to have a solid.
Shinay-sorry about your temp drop :( I thought you were on your way up. Remind me-vag or oral temps? I'm curious to see what tomorrow's temp will be!

Pbn - want to ask so you'll have all day to answer! If I get positive tomorrow (feeling usual O pains and had EW today so thinking yes), then I'll BD tomorrow night and Tuesday night. Should I really try for Tuesday AM or not stress about it?? There's a very small chance we could make it work but don't want to push it if you think the other attempts will cover me. Looking back at the last time I temped I Oed the day after positive opk the 4 months I charted. That was 3 years ago and obviously things could change but just thought I'd mention.

Oh and I'm on central time, so it's 6 pm here on Sunday. I think it's Monday morning for you which blows my mind for some reason!

Kat that's great you bded today as if your opk is pos tomorrow you already have attempt number one in 😀 so yep your plan is good. Bd tomorrow night (if opk is pos) then Tuesday as well. Honestly I'd just bd when you can Tuesday as in whatevers most convenient. It really is just a back up attempt to allow for late o. An a.m. bd has a tiny chance of being an attempt if you o that day but only if you o later that day iykwim (there's no way to pin point o to an hour but even if you happened to o that evening you wouldn't know anyway :) ) . Certainly not worth getting stressed over at all. So dtd Tuesday when it suits :) So excited you're at the bding stage 🎉🎉 and so so happy you started temping 😀

Oh and silly question – I often get up during the night for the littlies – and every time I do, without fail, I have an urge to pee – when should I collect a sample? I could have a 1 hour hold or a 6-hour one, depending on the night etc – so not sure when to get the sample – gaaah!

A sample closer to morning as long as your not drinking fluid when you get up during the night. That way your sample will be concentrated. If you do need a drink during the night try and only have a few sips :)

I will indeed test at about 6 ish...tonight we were on Skype with my mum, and DD1 patted my tummy saying "mummy's got a big tummy Nanna!", because she has a baby in there...lol and once again explained that she wants two brothers and another sister..but a baby brother first :heart: gosh I love that kid! Good Morning! I think today is O day! I've gotten to know my body so well over the past 5 months & I'm seeing a pattern. My temp dropped slightly & I have the worst O pains on both sides. It's typically just in my right side, but I think it's worse on my left side this time. Maybe it's a sign that a good egg is releasing there fx!!!
We got our attempt in last night, but I'm tempted to do another attempt tonight or is that too boy-friendly??

Ladies, I'm sorry, I feel like this weekend was insane and I'm trying to go through all of the posts to get caught up, and I will, but I haven't been able to yet...haven't forgotten about you! :)

DH is supposed to call Dr today. We'll see how that goes. I asked a question on the general board to see if Atomic could help answer some of his questions....he's mostly concerned about having twins and having an egg fertilized that otherwise wouldn't be a "strong" egg, if that makes sense.

I don't think eod is best for you with such unpredictable cycles..... Next cycle I'd recommend you try and bd every 3-4 days and then go for three attempts at pos opk. Lola: if it is me, I wouldn't put in another attempt for girl sway. But again, you need to choose what you are comfortable with and won't regret doing/ not doing later. We are here to support you no matter what you choose.

Sky: i think one more day and you should get crosshair. It is just a slight drop. Let's wait till tomorrow. And it doesn't hurt to add in more BD since it is good for boy sway anyway :)
And yes, I temp orally. My usual cycle length is about 30-34 days. We have gone through a lot of sleepless nights and stress this month, so it is probably why my cycle is all messed up this month.

Kat: It looks positive to me. And awesome bd plan. I know it is kinda weird knowing we have to bd on certain days, but it is part of the game.

Pbn: My normal cycles are not too bad. Just too many things happened this month (started with unexpected dtd few days before my usual O day). Hopefully next one will go back to my usual cycle. We will most likely not have unprotected sex this cycle anymore. I will wait till af arrive so we can start fresh again. I am still checking just to make sure i am not O now or soon since our last bd was 4 days ago. Once i am clear, i won't check anymore. the line is much lighter now. Cervix is medium and firm, so i think i am safe.

As for bd plan, we actually never planned for eod. I wanted to dtd every few days and 3 attempts at pos opk but since O didn't come, our plan was switched to eod to catch that late O. For next month, we will go back to 3 attempts plan. In the meantime, i might add in weight training to help my sway.

Kat yes that's normal, you can have a pos opk for up to 3 days but could have oed before it goes negative. Depends how long your surge takes to leave your system. That's why they say always count your very first positive opk as your positive if that makes sense.

Skys chart is fine even with the open circles. You'll see that they are all pretty much below the solid ones and that is normal for temps taken earlier than usual (which is most likely why they are open plus on the lower side :) ) we should see a clear maintained shift above these latest temps which will indicate o has occured. Does that make sense? Just trying to help clear up your confusion to understand charting better :)

Maxim - this pic was when it was already dry, as I took the test, checked, saw nothing, went to have my shower, checked again, saw nothing took this pic ;)
Though admittedly my temps baffle me, they have never been this high (I don’t recall they ever were even pregnant!) – to the point I am questioning the reliability of my new thermometer… that or I am under the weather like my girls and might be getting sick?! That or I finally have a good level of progesterone naturally – which I would totally consider a win even if this was not my cycle (though would love the next one to be then, happy to not get a bfp now if I can next month, which would be sooo perfect for so many reasons!).

1st positive opk is the one you use a reference, the surge may make the following ooks you take look pos but by then you may actually be catching the end of the surge so definitely assume surge was on that 1st blazing opk and attempt accordingly – woohoo!

Sky – the show’s not over yet – (im)patiently waiting to see what happens in the next few days for you , hope O is confirmed soon! it shucks when nights are disrupted, it makes everything else so much more complicated, and our bodies are so sensitive to that too so it doens;t take much to delay O etc… so I sympathise! (I have 2 kids that are (very) poor sleepers and early risers even after a good night – 6.30 am is a massive sleep in lol).

Shinay – next cycle, if there is one, you should def temp vaginally – soooo much more reliable and precise ;) You say you wouldn’t do unprotected BD next time – you’re making me nervous about our attempts between you and Sky, both blue swayers, not keen on unprotected BD before attempt time…gah!

Lola – you have to do what you won’t have any regrets with – and only you can know what that is so go with your gut feeling my dear! FX that this is your cycle!!

Shinay when you are waking are you actually getting up or just going back to sleep? If you are staying in bed and going back to sleep then temp when you wake up and plan on getting up. Yes your temp will show as lower if you temp as 2am as opposed to 6am however because your body temp rises after o even a temp taken earlier should still be higher than pre o temps.

LMSM: i just want to clarify on what i said earlier. You have nothing to worry about. I believe more frequent sex is good for boy sway. What i meant is i will not have anymore unprotected sex this cycle. This cycle is so messed up and i dont want to test and worry and dtd eod so i will wait till this one end and i can start fresh again. Plus i will keep worrying about egg quality since it would be super late already, like cd33 or so. Next cycle, my plan is to dtd unprotected every couple days and 3 attempts at positive instead of eod which is very hard to maintain.

Pbn: thank you for explaining to me. I just wake up and fall back asleep, i didnt actually get up. But what if i get up to use restroom, then which temp i should take?

Shinay if you get up to go to the toilet but it's early enough that you'll get at least 3 more hours sleep after going back to bed then hold off temping until you wake later. However if it only a couple hours before usual get up out of bed time then take your temp then before getting up to go pee :)

I had strong O pains mostly on my left side yest & now strong O pains on my right side today-somewhat of a pinching feeling! Since it doesn't look like you've O'd yet, I'd try to get that 3rd attempt in today if you can. For your rise, it'll prob go up to the 98s.

Oh Maxim, so exciting for you to be at this stage! Which days are you going to be taking Clomid on? I think I did CD3-5 and O’d both times on CD12 – they usually say on average 7-8 days post last pill, which was true for me.
Husbands, lawyers or not (I’m the laywer in our couple here lol), tend to be protective of their wives and what they ingest/go through so I assume he wants to know this is the best avenue for you and your health etc .. I know my husband wanted to know all the side effects for me, what it could do to bubs etc… I see it as a gesture of love ;)

Lola – from your chart I’d say you O’d CD15 but will confirm once I see next temp - you do have a dip (but not huge hence my reservation until next temp ^^) then a decent rise the next day so that is def a contender!

PBN – less than a week before your u/s – so exciiiting! What gestation will you be - around 7 weeks ish? Still up at silly o’clock or did you sleep a bit longer this morning?
Haha you are a sweetie, and do have a cute face and chocolate bribes - but am quite sure they are white as white can be IRL unfortunately! I think the 1st one *may* have an indent, but no color… soooo I have plenty of FRERs at home (like a full box of 7 + a couple extras) just not wanting to waste them – I will do another IC in the am and if there is anything to be seen (11dpo tomorrow, there really should be something there by then even if very faint), then will get the FRER out, I PRO-MISE ;)
If it wasn’t for these temps I would be sure I am not pregnant – but the temps remain over 37, which is highly unusual for me – as I said, I may just have appropriate levels of progesterone for once, keeping the temp high… oh the suspense is just unbearable even if in my heart, and as much as I would love to be as positive as you guys, I just know this is not our month… (and I love all the positive energy you all get floating around, supportive and excited for each other, just love it!).

Sigh - I was just chatting to the big boss about my upcoming business trip (he just came back from Syd himself) telling him I wasn’t looking forward to my 6am flight, and having to book a cab at 4.45 (hence up even earlier) – my direct manager “made” me book a flight on the day of the conference rather than arrive the night before (budget blablabla) but he said “why the hell would you book that, you should have gone the night before, doesn’t make any sense when you have an early start” -  am fuming now but probs a bit late to make changes, I mean the big boss is the CFO so he is the one that has to be the tightest budget wise in the whole business and yet he supports a bit of extra spend in these circumstances – plain annoying, I could have had a proper night sleep without rushing – I guess the bright side is I will get to put my darlings to bed the night before as then won’t see them for 24+ hours (never have been away from my youngest)..anyhoo, morning vent lol!

Re O time, since we only temp once a day, it’s harder to pin point exactly (dip and rise could not be exactly aligned with actual surge and O but should be within a pretty tight window) given your surge was on Cd14, you can be pretty sure O is on Cd15 or 16 anyways – so FX now!
Am not leaving until Wednesday next week (31/05) so will either clearly have AF or a BFP by then ;) I just hope if it is the former that it arrives over the WE and not later otherwise I will be in a world of pain when travelling.. oh well, no need hypothesising at this stage, will just adapt to what comes ^^

Ash – I told myself I would be healthy with DD2, somehow the urges for junk got the better of me haha
At the end of it. I think do whatever it takes for you to enjoy your pregnancy – the weight is only that, and will come off eventually – the main thing is happy mummy and baby ;)

Im going to be talking with DH this afternoon and move forward whichever way that is.

My pain and overall symptoms with pelvic congestion syndrome is becoming worse by the day, i think i may be getting renal colic from the swollen ovarian veins. I feel like im in the 3rd trimester the pressure is wayyyy toooo much. I want to see what my options are but I feel a hysterectomy would be the best solution seeing as my previous treatments have not lasted and had risks.

My heart breaks even thinking of that but I gotta do what i gotta do.

My opk is way lighter this morning so it was definitely the peak last night. Cramping from both sides too 😁

Has anyone had experience with the dipstick frer's. It keeps giving me evap lines though to me, most look faint that come up in the timeframe. I wonder if its picking up LH but only lightly.

I got rid of all my others. This is the one from this morning, small hold whilst i used the opk. The line can be seen at arms length its just hard to capture. Thats why im thinking an evap as it doesn't seem to have colour or much of in the line itself but its definitely there. I have pregnosis left only.

Hi pbn. The pages have moved so fast it is easy to miss haha. This is what i wrote before

Pbn: My normal cycles are not too bad. Just too many things happened this month (started with unexpected dtd few days before my usual O day). Hopefully next one will go back to my usual cycle. We will most likely not have unprotected sex this cycle anymore. I will wait till af arrive so we can start fresh again. I am still checking just to make sure i am not O now or soon since our last bd was 4 days ago. Once i am clear, i won't check anymore. the line is much lighter now. Cervix is medium and firm, so i think i am safe.

As for bd plan, we actually never planned for eod. I wanted to dtd every few days and 3 attempts at pos opk but since O didn't come, our plan was switched to eod to catch that late O. For next month, we will go back to 3 attempts plan. In the meantime, i might add in weight training to help my sway.

Thanks Shinay and I do remember reading that now! Is a high firm cervix your norm prior to af? As for bringing on af naturally you could try ginger or parsley tea morning and night until af arrives? Don't know if it works or not though and you may be drinking something that sounds (and I bet tastes) awful for nothing 😂

Just an update – just had some light pink spotting – so with the AF pain I got last night, am pretty sure I am out – I had the same last month and it took another 2 days before AF rocked up – so hope the next ones up for POAS are luckier! ;)

Pbn i had my blood test last Thursday. Ive read reviews on the first response dip tests and they've been quite a few false positive stories and some that did turn into BFPs. Pregnosis wasn't showing anything when i tested the other day.

Not much indication of why false positives happen i didn't fit the criteria of why they would be showing up. I might just stay clear of them from now on.

@Lolabelle I definately think you oed prior to temping on cd16 and caught temp on its way up. If you look at last cycle your temp jumped by .5 degree, you seem to have a very clear shift and if you combine cd16 and cd17 spike this cycle it is also .5 degree, so it makes sense that you likely caught it the temp rise in the middle of rising if that makes sense?? Not at all saying you'd have the same degree rise every cycle lol, just in a general sense. Pretty sure ff will allocate crosshairs tomorrow to cd15 :) can't wait to see!!! And by then you'll already be 3dpo 😮😁 and only 5 days from testing eeeeekkk!!!!!

Of COURSE on my most critical temping day my youngest woke me up at 4 crying. I usually temp around 4:30/5 and go back to sleep off and on until time to get up. So, I had to let her cry until I could get my temp taken [emoji51] I honestly don't even know if it beeped/was done when I took it out, but it was high enough so I just went with it.

Lola/Sky - I'm a day behind y'all! Yay!

Lola - I love your O-1 attempt that's how I got preggo with my 2nd. I read (not sure how true) that O-2 and O-1 are usually the best attempts so sperm will be waiting on egg.

So all I have test wise is the dip tests that came with Wondfos. Any have an idea how sensitive?? I think that's what you used Ash. I'm fine testing early, but I've never got a BFP before 11 DPO.

LSMS - I hope you are out!! Keep us posted.

Love it Kat, enjoy it b/c you'll be holding that pee again before too long for your hpts! Fx for a BFP!! I'd say the Wondfo's are more sensitive than I originally thought! I've never had a BFP before 11dpo either! Last cycle, I got a faint line at 10dpo on the wondfo, but of course...didn't pan out. I'm ready this time with old style straight frer's, a few ICs, left over cb digs with weeks estimator & a box of OSOM...just b/c I wanted to try it haha. I'd say I'm stocked up. So ready to have an unmistakable line!!!!
Can't wait for all of us to POAS!!!!

Kat yes at 9dpo I used wondfo and frer and the line was much more noticeable on the wondfo than the frer and it doesn't seem to me that wondfo give as bad evap lines as frer. BUT I started poa opk at 5dpo and it started darkening at 8dpo and was very obviously darker at 9dpo much more clear to see that opk had a darker line than it was to see a line on hpt and since your opk are super light lines like mine are maybe that'll work for you also

Okay well, DH just spoke with my OB and I have goods news and bad news. Bad news first, he doesn't want me to start the clomid tomorrow. He feels that we haven't been trying long enough to start medications. He's also hyper concerned about twins. So he wants to just keep trying this month as usual. Have to say I'm bummed, but the fact that he's willing to keep trying is more than I thought he would give me a few months ago... The good news is that he's not completely shutting the door on it, said that we will sit down tonight to talk about how many months we are going to keep trying and possibly try it on our last cycle. I guess I actually have to take his point of view into consideration (boooo lol), but I'm not going to lie that I'm super disappointed.

Max - Ash made such a good point to me when I thought I was out this cycle. She reminded me that if it's taking a longer time to conceive that means my girl sway is really good. So I want to pass that on to you. Even without the Clomid, you're doing everything so well. Maybe this is what you need, for you hubby to be on point more than ever so you can relax into the process. I swear this last cycle I was my most relaxed and boom. You've got this!

That is sooooo true! In fact, I was talking to a good friend yesterday that had been trying for over a year. They stopped trying and she got pregnant the next cycle while she was waiting for an appt to get her IUD put in. I am going to try to just chill as much as I can this cycle...it certainly helped last cycle in moving my O date up a few days. But the Type A girl in me can't help but stress when things don't go as I thought they were planned... That said, I have a saline u/s tomorrow and hoping that it will somehow help conception odds this coming month. :)

Max I think with everything coming together this month good things will be coming and it will feel a lot less stressful having dh fully on board to keep trying for now rather than feel you have a time limit in place. I'm curious regarding the saline u/s though? I thought your period had to be finished or down to super light bleeding when it's done? Your getting it done to check lining etc? Hi everyone, I've not had chance to read through all the posts yet, it's been so crazy here! DH has now had his op but still in hospital so not had chance to breathe between work, boys, visiting him etc. Just giving a quick update on me, I'm sure AF will be here very soon, I have all the usual cramps, I feel exactly the same as every other cycle. Anyway, hope everyone else is doing ok, I'm going to have to catch up when I get a minute. Also, on a completely different note, I live in Manchester, England where the terror attack killed 22 on Monday. So many children hurt and killed. It's made me hug mine a little bit tighter these past two days x

Thanks ladies. Yeah I agree completely. There are just no words to describe how vile they are. Our city is pulling together though and there are so many strangers being kind and helping one another through.
I will probably test tomorrow if it hasn't started by then, not got my hopes up though. I just like to pee on sticks [emoji23]

All these attacks honestly does pull a community together and I'm sure that's the opposite of what the attackers want
