Hi
Can you eat 3 meals on this diet and eg breakfast, lunch and dinner but have no snacks? I just cannot calorie count or my anorexia could come back. Or should I just jave a late breakfast and dinner? I worry that would only be about 1000 calories.I am not currently trying to conceive because I am pregnant.. I am just a big worrier and worrying about this diet for the future. I was told I have pcos but I do not have high testosterone. I got a blood test again and they said my hormones were all normal. If I do not eat for long periods I end up binge eating. My therapist always told me 3 meals and 2 healthy snacks. I find dieting so confusing and worried if I do not do the diet my sway will not work!

You can have up to 4 meals on LE. Can you just go vegetarian? That by itself can sway pink. Since you have a history of anorexia, I wouldn't bother counting cals, fat, etc since you might relapse.

Oh that is good to know:) Thanks. I cant go vegetarian because I need to eat dairy for my weak bones. I would only eat chicken twice a week and mince once a week. Just not sure if I can eat chocolate or anything? Just healthy eating and 3 meals a day with no snacks? Does that sway pink? Just read if u skip breakfast..it helps a girl sway but just not just how I would fit in 1500 to 1800 calories in lunch and dinner. Sorry just confused about diet! If I did not eat mearlt.. I would hardly get much protein. Can you eat eggs and cheese?
So sorry for all the questions!

hey Emz89 i ate small amounts of turkey and sausage with both my pink sways as it was part of what i had cooked that evening, 3 meals is fine! just no snacks between meals :) snacking is a huge blue factor, basically every boy mama on here got their boys snacking all day long! me included!
eggs and cheese are fine and so is chocolate, again i ate all 3 at some point during the course of my 2 sways, there are no banned foods on the LE diet just things like large frequent servings of steak are best swapped for other more LE type choices (white meat with vegetables or a salad for example) white meat is fine if you cant go veggie, dont compromise your health.
i didnt count cals/fat etc either as i honestly wouldnt know where to start and didnt want the stress of it (yes i am a lazy swayer! haha) i just stuck to 2 meals a day with no snacks. in your case stick to 3 or even 4 meals a day as ksmom said with no snacks between meals, ive seen quite a few pink swayers recently on 3 meals a day for various reasons and the results have been good! again dont risk your health counting cals or dropping down to 2 meals a day, LE is not supposed to be bad for you, Atomic is the best one to advise you on how to adjust it to fit your needs. good luck xx

Hi
Thank you so much for your detailed reply. Calmed me down! Glad to know I can take 3 meals:) I will miss having a cup of tea in the morning. I drink a lot of tea.. I am from Ireland lol. We drink a lot of tea here. How did you get enough calories with just 2 meals a day?

no worries :) this site is so helpful and supportive so ask ask ask away!! 3 meals is fine ive seen alot of posts where atomic has advised 3 meals a day, are you able to drink coffee? coffee is good for pink dont stress if you cant though! im in the UK so i totally get the tea thing haha i was making sure i ate a good sized meal at both dinner and tea time, got to admit im not a fan of eating large amounts in one go hence my previous snacking problem! if you aim for 3 sensible sized meals with no snacks then you are right where you need to be :) if you find you are starving right after eating then up the size of your meals, LE shouldnt make you miserable xx

It really is great! I will switch to coffee instead of tea.
I am the same.. I snack a lot! I think that is why I am pregnant with a boy first:) So I can have 3 good nutiritious meals a day? Maybe no avocado? I eat onions and peppers a lot because I eat a lot of curry type dishes. Are yoghurts ok and fruit with lunch etc?
I will not be trying for ages but just want to keep myself from worrying about it. Id love a little girl next . I am a excited to be having a boy as my first but I have no idea how to bring up a boy haha. Xx

I had 3 meals and had to have a 4th meal time to time. I counted calories every now and then to make sure the foods I typically ate were within the limits. I, and most ladies, use my fitness pal (there is an app you can download). It's great! You put in your target calories, and adjust the macros for fat and protein to be sure you stay within the limits. Once you track what you usually like to eat, you can stop tracking.
Remember, there is no right or wrong way! Just choose the method you can stick to easily. I had my first meal between 9-11, my second from 12-3, and my last meal from 5-7pm. Just avoid snacking. It will get easier over time! Try pushing back your first meal slowly, by 30min each day, until you reach the point where you can easily withhold eating. For me, I could delay any other meal time without feeling like I had to eat a massive amount to stave off the hunger but breakfast. I HAD to eat something within 2 hours of waking or at the latest 9-11am. Everyone is different. Find what works for you to stay in the limits and not snack.
You can do this!! 🤞🏻for you!

What I have people who have had eating disorders do USUALLY is go vegetarian. But I do not want you to do that with the PCOS (I know I gave a different answer in one of your other threads but you didn't mention the PCOS)
Instead, I want you to increase intake of fruit, vegetables (including potatoes and sweet potatoes for calories) and whole grains. Eat more full fat dairy and eggs, fish or shellfish 2x a week, and a small serving of chicken or turkey for dinner on the days you are not eating fish. (like about the size of a deck of cards) Cut back on sugar intake. Have 3 or even 4 meals a day. This is much different from all day eating which sways blue.
Do NOT count calories. Just change your eating in these ways and it will still help sway pink for you.

I eat 2 meals a day, 800 cal each, so 1600 cal per day. I am losing 1lb a week doing this so if you don't want to lose weight because of your eating disorder you need to eat more than 1600 cal per day, probably at least 2000!

Does this sound ok? Breakfast - toast and fruit, lunch- maybe eggs or a sandwich with a yoghurt and then dinner .. just seeing is it ok to have ur snacks with ur meals rather than throughout the the day? Or no treats sugary food at all?

If you really have PCOS then you may need to eat more protein and fewer carbs. (so possibly not fruit and toast for breakfast, you would need to have some protein there)
Have your snacks with meals. PCOS means you need to cut way back on sugar.
Onions and garlic, some people try to cut them out but I personally doubt they sway much if at all - too many people eat them all around the world and the gender ratio stays at 50-50 in every country!

Yes, you can still eat 3 meals a day. That is fine. All that means is to cut out things like fortified foods like cereal and power bars and stuff like that.

Emz, you are pregnant right now, yes? I am not sure it's imperative to get your breakfast for a year from now worked out LOL.
IF you even have PCOS, then you may need to cut back on carbs. You are going to have to keep somewhat of an eye on your diet overall - if you're eating lots of carbs in other areas then you may not want to have the toast, if you aren't, then you can have it. It is overall what you're eating day in and day out - for PCOS, you want less carbs overall, and the carbs that you are eating should be fruits, veg, or whole grains. But I can't tell you from here HOW MUCH of those to eat in one day. That, you have to use some of your own judgement on.

Haha yes. I always think far too ahead! I just do not know many breakfasts except toast or porridge lol. I would not want to eat a lot of eggs. All I can think of is a yoghurt and fruit!
Can you have walnuts?
Yeah I think maybe when my baby is about 1 .. I will get a custom plan lol . Might be best for me
Thanks so much x

All boy moms do!! :)
Yes, you can have walnuts on LE Diet. Yogurt and fruit is fine, we just need to watch out for the carbs if you do have PCO.
