Hello all!
Kinda new here. I would really really really love to have a son after 2 little girl beauties. My cycles are long. I'm currently on Cycle day 25 and haven't ovulated yet! Ahh! Anyway my doctor said she would put me on clomid but I'm a little nervous about it swaying pink. I think maybe it dries you up and that's why it sways pink? I would really love twin boys!! (I know I'm crazy lol). I have read some posts here about this but haven't found anything too recent. Does anyone have any insight? Atomic I know you're the swaying god so if you have any time to post a response here that would be awesome! 😊😊

Omg that would be amazing for me! I know clomid has good chances of twins but not sure about boy twins with clomid. Anyone?

Both Clomid and Femara have seemed to sway pink, but we honestly don't know why that is.
What I do know is that if you do an otherwise blue sway (diet, lifestyle changes, boy-friendly BD patterns, and some easy things for your hubby to do) you still have a great shot at a boy even with Clomid and Femara.

Yes people do get twin boys with Clomid! For sure!
Try to remember that our results with Clomid/Femara were in women who were doing lots of other things to sway pink. In studies (in people who were NOT swaying) it only swayed pink a smidge (3-5%) and then if you sway blue too, it will help you get your little boy(s)

Bump!
Since I answer posts from oldest to newest I will get to your post faster if you give me 3-5 days before bumping. It just sends it back to my "new" posts and makes it take that much longer. Just want everyone to get their replies as quick as possilbe.

Thank you so much for your response atomic! Not sure if I really have to go on it yet but will try without clomid first and hopefully get a sticky egg. Really praying for a boy. I have a very boy friendly lifestyle anyway. My diet has changed a lot since my girls. I am also always doing some kind of exercise (I work in a greenhouse). I just can't seem to get the BD timing down. Do I have DH release every 2-4 days and then DTD 3 times as soon as positive OPK? So DTD pos. OPK twice then once the next day? Not sure.

Yes, or you could have unprotected sex with DH every 2-4 days. The hormones in semen may help make you more blue friendly. Some prefer not to do that because of Shettles timing, but it is very much like how most of us got our boys.
For the 3 attempts, have one the night of the positive OPK, again the next morning if you possibly can, and then again the next night. So 2 attempts the day after pos if possible.

Okay. Thank you so much! For some reason lately I'm not having a lot of luck with the OPKs. Im using clear blue digitalis. I'm not getting positives as I used to. I read some of the other posts and realized maybe I'm a little under weight? My BMI is 19.7 which is good but on the low end. I feel like I'm not ovulating right. What do you think? Should I add some dairy to my diet?

Are you getting you period?
I'd like you to gain a little weight, for sure. That will benefit your blue sway. Right now your weight is what I recommend for pink swayers!
I always recommend full fat dairy to my blue swayers. The evidence that dairy foods sway pink is really, really dubious and most of us on here got boys eating the high dairy diets (I have ALWAYS eaten tons of dairy and got 4 boys doing that, two of which I was also taking calcium and magnesium, then I dropped it all to get my girl finally). No skim dairy though, that actually may sway pink. Full fat dairy only.

Okay will do! Yes I am getting my period but I have long and wacky cycles. Sometimes they are short sometimes they are long depending on the month. I will say they have been weird since I stopped breastfeeding DD2 last August but then again AF has always been a little off with me. Do you think that's why I have girls cause I can't properly track O? I will add full fat dairy to my diet for sure!

No, that's not why you have girls (the day of O is irrelevant, timing doesn't work), but the irregular cycles may be. I suspect your low weight may mean you're not making much estrogen. This can make it take longer to O. I suspect a couple pounds gained and eating more animal fats, particularly dairy fat, will help.

Okay thank you so much. This has really helped. Hopefully adding the dairy works.
