Hi
I am due to O in the next couple of days but have been feeling crampy today. Im getting a fade in on opks, but I'm worried the cramps could be early AF. Has anyone else had this? I'm currently CD 16 usually O CD 18. I'm counting from very light pinky spotting late at night (prob around 10.30pm) as cd1 that's right isn't it? Or do I count from the next day when it was proper AF(!)?
Also I'm due to have my semi permanent eyebrow topup a week from now, should I cancel and rearrange the appointment *just in case* I get a bfp? It will be too early to test so I don't know what to do!
Thanks everyone

I always count CD1 as first day of bright red flow. If you're cramping, you could O soon. I tend to get crampy around that time as well.

As for the eyebrows, I'd think it would be okay since even if you did conceive, baby likely wouldn't have implanted yet.

Good luck! Xx

It sounds to me like O pains, have you ever had those before?? I get horrible ones way worse than menstrual cramps.

IF this is AF you would count from first day of red bleeding, not the spotting.

I personally think getting your brows done is ok, but follow your gut on that!

I've never had cramps before only when AF was due. So going by red flow that would make me CD15 today. Maybe I'll O a bit earlier this time?
DH has just come home saying he feels awful and has gone to bed, trust my luck so close to O he won't be able to BD! Typical

Nope! Still hanging in there! Cd17 today and yesterday's opk was much lighter than the day before. Waiting to test today (monday) Dh feels better so hopefully I'll be in with a shot. He has a dentist appointment on Wed, is there any problems with anaesthetic and swaying? Also he took an antibiotic on Sunday (literally one pill) as he thought he needed something but then started feeling better (they were left overs from last time he got a prescription, He never finishes any course) that's ok isn't it? Only one tablet?
I'm hoping I O this month, didn't get a + opk last month so I'm worried about that too. Thanks!

Negative again today  beginning to despair
Still having cramps. Front and back, not on one side like I've heard o pains usually are tho?

Yes that sounds to me like ovulation cramps.

I wouldn't worry about him taking the antibiotics (but I will point out that not finishing his antibiotics and taking them later is not a safe practice and may cause drug resistant infections in the future)

Re the dentist appointment - I'd go for it provided he does not have X-Ray. If he does, I'd consider skipping the month just in case.

I looked back at my years of charts and although some are not very clear (I kept a book of charts handwritten) I can see that some months I didn't O until cd20 even had a cd22! This means I may have started the coconut water and guaifenesin too early but i still have hope! I think maybe i stopped testing too early last month, as well as not bd close enough to possible O (I think we bd cd17/18 but with dh's meds there may not have been enough swimmers hanging around!)

Ok. He had an xray last wed. Fml

If we've already been dtd every 2-3 days anyway should we continue just in case I O soon? I don't want to end up with one attempt resulting in pregnancy.. or do I stop now because of the x-ray last week? (We dtd late last night)

O pains are NOT only on one side. That's a misconception. I get horrible ones and they are not one sided.

Right but that was several days ago and not right before your attempt. Yes yes keep going.

coco water and guanefesin are fine to start as far in advance of sway as you like. No worries on that!

Cd19 negative. I only had a 30 day cycle last month so not hopeful.

Why are you not hopeful?

Your LP gets tacked onto whenever you ovulate. So if you got AF on CD 30 last month that doesn't matter, if you O CD 18 then you'll get AF a couple days later but it would still be in normal cycle range.

I guess I was thinking maybe my l.p. would be too short this time if i don't o til cd21 or later

OK that's what I thought. That's not how it works though. Your AF is variable. It depends on when your O occurs. Then you'll have a hormonal response after the egg is released, the hole that the egg comes from makes progesterone and then you'll have the luteal phase after that point. )
