JUST got bfp and wondering if I need to drop anything I was doing for my sway - see list of ?s
I was doing 2 packets of green tea and 1 black a day, but went down to 1 green and 1 black. Is this ok during pregnancy? I did drink a cup of coffee with last pregnancy so I'm not really asking about the caffeine but the tea [emoji5]
Supplements:
100 mg Ubiquinol
One a day women's - not prenatal
1,600 mcg folic acid
Probiotic - says 5 billion cfu
Been taking all this 5 weeks.
Should I stop or add anything?? Blue swayers weigh in too!

Following! Fantastic question! I was wondering about the folic acid too. I'm wondering about the caffeine though? Love my Coke Zero's-don't want to give it up if I don't have to lol! I did at the beginning for both DS's.

I really have no idea but I did read a post where atomic had said do not stop taking folic acid until 12 weeks.. I think you're supposed to take the same amount folic acid that you were taking when you got your BFP until week 12, and then you gradually wean off until you're down to your prenatal.
Congratulations on your pregnancy!!!

I drank lots of caffeine the entire time I was pregnant with my girls (not saying you should, I didn't really think about the fact that I probably shouldn't, and oddly enough it was never mentioned to me) but my girls are just fine. I would maybe switch to caffeine free soda and decaf coffee :)

Huge congrats Kat!
Wean off Ubiquinol by gradually spacing doses further and further apart till down to one per week, then you can drop them.
Women's One a Day are actually superior by far to One a Day Prenatals and I"d just continue with them. I took those all three of my last pregnancies!!
Continue folic till 12 weeks gestation then gradually wean back to amount in multivitamin
Probiotic is great to carry on all thru pregnancy and may help prevent Group B strep. :)
I'd ditch green tea and replace with black or coffee but as long as you're doing the higher dose folic it is ok if you would like to continue with it. Green tea may block folic acid.
RE caffeine, I personally think that a cup of coffee or 2 cups of tea is totally fine during most pregnancies.

This is me too. EVERYONE I know had caffeine (when our moms were pregnant - well at least MY mom LOL I know you guys are all youngsters ;) they had coffee all day long) and I know very, very few people who did not have at least a cup of coffee or tea a day when preggo, if not more.
I suspect that while there may be some correllation between people who really hit it hard on caff. when pregnant, they are probably doing a lot of unhealthy things anyway, OR there are some women who start doing more caff when pregnant because they are tired in the first trimester. If you're otherwise eating good, living healthfully, not smoking, etc and you are already USED to caffeine at a certain intake I think it's fine to continue.

Folic all thru first tri then wean down to amount in prenatal or multivitamin (which you should start at BFP) Both pink and blue swayers do this!
Re coke zero - very little caff in there (compared to coffee or tea). Some would have more concern over artificial sweetener in that. FDA has approved only 2-3 servings of aspartame per day during pregnancy. No more than that

Yes, thanks Atomic! Happy to hear that caffeine in moderation is ok...as I'm already crashing without it today!!
