I have three beautiful little boys, and are planning to have our last baby. Sense finding this forum it makes totally sense as to why I have three boys! I live and eat a total boy lifestyle. I've read comments in the "how I conceived a girl" thread. I still have a few more questions. I'm eating low fat yogurt, that's about all the dairy I'm getting. I've been sticking to the LE diet for six days. Sense Ive been skipping breakfast, at the end of the day I'm still under 300-400 calories. Is that ok? Or should I eat something before bed to get me up to 1500? By time I ovulate next month it'll be close to 7 weeks being on the diet. I had a question about timing, does that play a factor in girl swaying? DH is working 2 1/2 hours from home. So I can easily travel to him for a quickie lol. Just wasn't sure how close I should time it to O. Also I saw a few women say KY sways girl. Should we use some to help sway? Another thing I've been thinking about it migraine medication or Ibuprofen. I get frequent headaches. Is taking either going to sway boy? I also want to add DH is 36. Does have to abstain or FR? Sorry for the all over the place questions! I've found such comfort in your advice. I greatly appreciate your help ❤

Here is what I have learned from being on these boards for quite some time.
First of all, YES, you need to be sure to be getting enough calories. Either increase your meals or add in another meal. 1100 calories could stop you from ovulating at all.
Time on the die has had the best results at 12weeks or more. This is totally up to you if you want to have your attempts earlier.
Timing doe not sway at all, but number of times that you BD in the fertile period does seem to sway. One attempt is best for a girl sway. Most do it at positive OPK. If that does not work for you, Atomic usually suggests BDing every 4 days (E4D) to get that one attempt in the fertile window.
KY - I have not heard that it sways one way or the other, but I believe it will hinder conception, so I would avoid it unless you absolutely need it for lubrication. Honestly, I would use something else other than KY.
I don't know about the Ibuprofen other than it should not be taken when PG.
As far as DH, I would just let him do his own thing as he usually does and concentrate on the BDing when needed.

These are just my thoughts. Hope someone else chimes in too. Congrats and GL in your attempts.

If you want other support duing your TTC adventure, try talking on the 2WW groups. They are great and very talkative and have tons of info for boy and girl sways!

You need to be up to the 1500. Very few people should be below that.

You can still have 3 meals on LE Diet. Either 2 or 3 is fine, both equally acceptable. So you just push your first meal back by a bit. Still eat 3 meals in the remaing time. That will help you get more cals.

12 weeks or more on diet has gotten best results but anything longer than 6 has been decent. Many people don't get preggo that first month out anyway since most do want to start off using quite a few sway tactics.

Timing has been about as debunked as anything in science ever is. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/7691-trouble-timing.html Most of us on here have several timing opposites. It is fine if people want to use it, but no longer than 2-3 day cutoff (do NOT do O+12 please) and drop it if you get more than 2-3 BFN.

Ky probably sways a little bit pink but we don't track it in our results (too much other stuff to track) Even the low pH sway jellies have gotten neutral results, do not seem to be swaying pink or blue at all and are really cutting odds of conception. So again, something to try at the start if you feel the need but should be among first things dropped.

Painkillers and ibuprofen seem to sway pink.

Men over 35 generally do FR or nothing - the frequency patterns have been disappointing in our results and have caused SO much trouble for people that more and more people are just leving them out and having hubby do either regular release every 2-4 days with the one attempt, or else let him "do what he does" with the one attempt. The one attempt is the important part; for reasons we can only guess at one attempt has been quite pink friendly (and is probably the only reason anyone ever thought timing worked to begin with!)
