I agree! I have never measured more than a week ahead. Yikes. This could be a big baby or just a growth spurt and will catch up next time they check.

I'm measuring about 2 weeks ahead this time and it started at my 20 week check-up. My DS3 did that too and came 12 days early. I'm thinking she will come early too. I just hope she comes 38 weeks or later 🤞🏻!!

Anyone else nesting? I think that must be what's going on with me. I've had an energy boost lately and have been cleaning and making my skincare stuff. I'm trying to get my formulations down so I can start my own business in 12-24mo when my DH is through with his doctorate. I'm excited! I've made body lotion, hand lotion, body oil, face oils for the oil cleansing method that rinse nicely, body balm, nipple butter (I'm excited to use!!), lip balm, cuticle oil, foaming body scrub, body polish, 2 vitamin C facial serums (one Oil based and one like a light lotion- works as a great make-up primer!!), Face brightening lotion, and a Facial wrinkle corrector. The facial line contains cosmetic actives!!

I'm working on my body lotion and my face lotion- getting them to the consistency I like. I also want to make a whipped body butter and a diaper balm with zinc oxide to round out my product line! I've had some formulations down for a couple of years now, but the body lotion and face line are new-ish. I just want to have my formulations completed before the baby comes, so I can jump into production mode when I'm ready to open up online. I already sell to family, friends, and colleagues. I'd love to have a stand next summer at our local farmers market! We will see! I want to see how our baby girl is and to have a shop on etsy first.

It sounds like a lot, but I've only been making/tweaking 7 items! My BF's love when I'm in formulation mode, because they are my guinea pigs (I do stability and microbial testing first, of course!)!

Good news over here!
Had my follow up ultrasound this morning for the "bowel issue" the ultrasound tech said she doesn't see much difference in the bowel from 4 weeks ago but then the perinatologist came in and said, looking at today's scan, he wouldn't call it echogenic bowel. He said we have a beautiful baby! He doesn't think I need ultrasounds every 4 weeks but that will be up to my OB. Baby boy is measuring 25 weeks so exactly a week ahead. He was 12oz 4 weeks ago and is now 1lb 12oz!
I did the 24 hr urine collection and had a slightly elevated amount of protein but my doctor said it was fine and it's just to get a baseline.
I feel some relief! Now on to pass the glucose test in 2 weeks [emoji51]

No real plans yet for a baby shower, but we usually just do a co-ed BBQ with all of our friends to celebrate the new baby on the way. Sometimes we do baby shower games and all. It is fun as most of the time the guys really get into it because they normally don't get to go. :)

We usually do the same thing too, Shannshaff! It's very informal and a way to get together with family and friends before the baby comes. Most people bring something for the baby, although it's not required by any means. I think most women love shopping for baby stuff! I know I do! I haven't bought much, since I have overzealous family!

28 weeks been having consistent Braxton hicks.. and my doc is trying to tell me it's just the baby moving....

I'm sorry but consistent tightening of my uterus every 7-10 mins for 20-30seconds at a time since 8am???? There's no way that's the baby moving... I know the difference between baby movements and Braxton hicks..

Needless to say I got sent home. /:

Uh oh Nann! I'm hoping that your baby stays in a while longer!

I've been having the pinching/stabbing pain that comes and goes off and on today. I get this when the baby drops and in early labor. Luckily it is not frequent like in labor. My contractions feel like this until I reach 7-9cm, then I have to breathe and focus. I have learned to pay attention to the frequency because I could easily dismiss it!

Nann, I hope the bh's simmer down for you. <3 it must be very concerning!

XX, you look so cute! <3

I finally took a belly pic, mainly for the purpose of comparing with my 25 week bump 10 years ago :D

http://i68.tinypic.com/2dvsfvp.jpg

needless to say, I'm much smaller this time around. I'd say at least 60Lbs lighter and I'm also carrying lower. I swear I felt massive before the photo but nope LOL, my bump is actually teeny. This peanut is probably gonna be small considering my diet is waaaaaaaay different.

Alright, so it is becoming difficult to walk for long periods of time. A short visit to the farmers market brought on some AF type cramps and pressure/pain at the bottom of my uterus. What is the meaning of this? I feel like a first timer. I didn't experience this with DD.

XXforhubby
July 15th, 2017, 02:52 PM
It's common in subsequent pregnancies. I was told to stay well hydrated- drink more than you think you should. It also can happen around growth spurts from the uterus expanding. It can also be due to the baby positioning lower in your uterus. I get them every time I exercise. I drink loads of water afterward and make sure to not do too much after I exercise. Easier said than done some days!

Hang in there!

Fox - glad you are seeing a good Dr, but I can understand your concerns about being so far from the hospital.

five - I have had that type of pain before and it was caused by sciatica I think and my chiropractor helped tons.

All you ladies look wonderful. Here I am at 22 weeks. I feel HUGE! and the pic is huge too for some reason. :(

Yeah it was so so so incredible!! As many of you know, I am a healthy and wellness coach with AdvoCare. They asked me to share my story at our national convention last weekend. I got to stand on stage and share and cry in front of 20000 people at the Dallas Cowboy's stadium. I am not a public speaker by any means. In fact, I'm terrified of talking in front of people and being the center of attention, but it was so so awesome! Hearing that my story touched or encouraged so many was awesome. And lots of compliments on the baby bump. I am feeling good about girl number 3.

Shannshaff, please ask about Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy. Itching could be nothing and it could be ICP, you should really get tested now and retested if it's negative now and keeps itching. Any patterns to the itching, like times of day it's worse?

This pregnancy is dragging for me too. I'm only 22 weeks and I feel like I have been pregnant for a year now. My blood sugar isn't playing nice, I think I'm headed for insulin this time. But other than thirsty and a bit fuzzy headed when it's high, I feel great! Definitely easiest pregnancy yet so far, so I'm thankful to this little man for that.

Sent from my SM-G925W8 using Tapatalk

I totally second this!!!! I was diagnosed with ICP last week eventhough I didn't have it with past pregnancies. The doc was shocked since I was the one insisting on a blood test eventhough he thought I am just having normal pregnancy itchiness. ICP could be very serious and requires treatment right away. I am so glad I got it checked out right away eventhough I read it is a rare disease

Thank you ford for sharing. I did get the blood work to test. And I believe I am headed in that direction. Now the itching has moved to my feet and other unpleasant locations. I will probably be tested again when I have my next appointment on the 31st to see what the levels are doing. I have not heard results back yet because they take at least a week for my midwives to get the results. It is a bit terrifying to think about all that can go wrong because of it. Praying all is well for you ford!

Oh Ford, I am so sorry. Are you taking Urso? Is it helping at all? I found it brought down my bile acid levels but didn't help the itching. It really was one of the worst things I've ever experienced, so I hope the itching isn't too bad for you. Do you know what the plan is with regards to induction yet? My bile acid levels spiked dramatically right around my induction date (and the placenta was a mess and my son wasn't in great shape at first), which totally convinced me that it's important. I didn't have it with DS2, but I'm still on high alert for it this time.

Shann, isn't the delay for bloodwork the worst?

My actually started around 20 weeks! So definitely possible to get it before 3rd trimester.
Fox - the doc gave me urso right away. I am taking it 3 times a day right now. The itchiness is horrible and people are asking why I have all these scratches. It's hard to sleep at night. Not sure if ursodiol will stop the itchiness. I assume if my bile level becomes severe they will induce me by 37 weeks. Fingers crossed I can hold on until 38 weeks.

Thank you shannshaff! The one annoying thing is that sometimes symptoms can persist for weeks before the blood test will show a spike in bile acid level. Therefore if your blood test come back normal but your itchiness don't go away, then you need to pester your doctor to keep on testing you. Truly hope you don't get it.

Mine seem to be happening at the same times each day. I'm making sure to stay hydrated, rest if needed, or taking short walks (these seem to help make them stop). My body did this with my last pregnancy. As I get closer to my due date, I use these to practice breathing for when it's the real deal.

I can't believe we're all getting closer! I'm getting so excited!

I am still hanging in there! The itching has increased so it is not looking good for the ICP diagnosis for me. :( I hope to get the bw results at my appointment on the 31st. But if that is the case, I might only have 14 more weeks to go! That is crazy for me to think about. We still have ZERO names for this little one if it is indeed a boy. I am having the hardest time getting started on a boy name. We never seem to have this much trouble. Not sure what the hold back is, but it is starting to get me concerned that we will not have a name by the time this little one joins us. :(

I'm doing Ok, 8/9 weeks to go and have to have a c section which I'm not looking forward to, I've got sooo big it's crazy everyone commenting how I look full term. And I have a very low blood count so need to up my iron count just so exhausted all the time. But I am looking forward to our new addition and meeting our new little boy and on the plus side my anxiety has improved Allot, I think I've just accepted the fact I'll be a boy mum and I feel so bad for thinking all those negative thoughts when I found out. I hope negativity doesn't pass into the baby in some shape or form ... [emoji852]

Doing pretty well. I have 9 weeks left.

This is always the phase of pregnancy tho where I start to puff up I've noticed. Being only 5'1", about the time baby just fattens up, I just blow up like a ballon cuz there's just no more room.. [emoji849] so I'm still maintaining my fitness level and healthy eating. But I don't think I'm a match for the "baby fattening" phase [emoji23]oh well. I know when baby gets out it'll go back down to normal and I won't look so full and round and stout :p

I'm actually very confused with my boobs too this pregnancy.. weird I know.. but with my daughter they just got HUGE... and this time they've def changed shape a little and of course the nipple got weird as always. But I haven't had to get new bras. I'm still in regular ones. Just odd I totally expected to be in like E or F cups this go around lol!

If you could have anything knit for your little one, what would it be?

I can't figure out what to make...
(Already made her hats and booties since I'm due in late Nov).

I would knit her a super soft blanket! My grandma did that for me, and I wore that blanket out! It was falling apart, stained, and faded, haha! I still have it- I can't part with it [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]! She has arthritis super bad, and her mind is failing her, otherwise I'd have her make one for our baby girl!

15 weeks to go! Although objectively I think closer to 13.

Baby boy is still a bit big. Still don't have my blood sugar under control, so I think I'm headed for some medical help with that. But I actually feel great! Better than with either of my boys so far.

Another resurgence of GD this week. I'm excited to meet this little boy but not sure if it's feasible for us to try again for our girl.

Fox - sorry you are not able to keep your sugars under control. ((HUGS)) But glad you are feeling great! I can so relate to your GD feelings. I have been thinking "can we try for a girl one more time in a few years?"....not really likely, but I am still in that place. :(

I did and I didn't. At my anatomy scan we turned away to stay team green, but I saw a pic on the screen when I got up off the table that was the gender pic and it was unmistakable boy.

Right, well congratulations either way on a healthy baby!! How are you doing otherwise? Our families are pretty similar in terms of the amount of children we have...how do you feel about labour and delivery of number 6? I'm feeling nervous about everything right now and I'm not sure why. Fortunately I've had straight forward labours and deliveries so far and I'm panicking this time around about whether the baby will be ok, whether I'll haemorrhage this time as apparently being the 6th I'm high risk....I know I need to be positive but just wondering whether any one else is in the same boat??

I am a little nervous about delivery, but that is because if I do indeed get diagnosed with ICP, I will most likely be induced early. That scares me a bit. But if not, I have fast labors and that is a bit scary as well. DH worries we will not make it to the hospital 20 mins away. And I REALLY am not looking forward to labor. But I am really looking forward to meeting this new little one.

Me too...not looking forward to labouring but definitely am excited to meet our new addition. Have you been told you could be more likely to haemorrhage with it being your 6th? I know you could be at risk regardless of how many babies you've had but it seems the likelihood is raised with us....

On my 6th they told me the same and as soon as i went into labour i had a canula fitted and when he was delivered they put something through it that contracted my uterus quicker than normal..i needed to stay lieing down for about half hour i think..there was much more blood than before but the injection worked and for the first time i didnt even have after pains which i usually suffer terrible with...theyr doing the same thing again this time but im also not allowed a water birth so they can measure the blood loss im gutted but rather be safe x

Thanks for your input fiveboys...and congratulations on a beautiful daughter! (I bet that sounds so weird reading 'daughter'!!!). I plan to have a 4d scan soon hopefully to check on baby and confirm whether I really have a baby girl on board. It seems like ages since my gender scan at 16 weeks and if I'm honest I still don't really believe it. I'm now 29 weeks so if they tell me 'girl' at this stage I may just start to believe it then!!

Today was a hard day for me. Baby is great as am I. But we went to be nephews birthday party today. I always struggle being around my brother and sister in law and their kids. They got a girl first and then got pregnant with a boy while I was pregnant with my daughter... it was SOOO hard cuz I wanted a boy then too.. and then she just up and got one of each.. idk our family dynamic with them is rough cuz it's always a competition. But seeing my nephew have a totally boy party with trains and cars and opening all these TOTALLY boy toys with his hair spiked up like his dad and what not. It just stabs me in the gut. I'm so scared to not get a boy.. I know if it's a girl I will love her with everything in me... but I long for a boy so bad it just makes me ache to watch little boys like that and fear I may never get to experience that :( idk I'm sure a lot of you totally get that feeling too being around other babies and kids and parents with the gender you wanted etc. well that's my venting for today haha :) 31 weeks this week for me! Im very nervous about delivery as I've had a few traumatic births and especially the last one. I also hemorrhaged after my 4th but they do have a drip ready to put up the second i deliver since and thankfully no extra bleeding. I will likely be induced again with gd. I hate being induced but my hubby wont let me fight against it as i have fast labours (normally under an hour and 1 under half an hour) Im just trying not to think about it and concentrate on all labours being different and praying for a safe one.

Yes I totally get that. And it makes it worse that they didn't even have to try too ya know? Like they just wanted one and got one. And all of us over here are doing all these crazy things to get our desired gender. They just decided to have a baby, tried one month and boom surprise you got your boy...

I'm over here like busting my butt with all these sway tools and ttc for about a year and a half to get a boy with no luck then finally conceive with iui and medication. And I don't even know if it's a boy. It's like for real? Lol my in laws got pregnant the first try both times and first was a girl, then a boy. Seriously how lucky can you get?!? So frustrating..

loving the updates :) fiveboys, she is adorable! <3

I'm starting to prep things for the baby's arrival. I have a gut feeling this bub is going to arrive early and I hope I'm wrong and we make it to the 36 week mark!

Have any of you kept track of body measurements from before pregnancy until now? My neck and arms are slightly smaller than before pregnancy but my hips are super wide and I had a 3 inch increase at the bust. Waist area increased by 7 inches so far, I thought it was more LOL.

I was trying to find info on how body composition changes during pregnancy and we really have no real information available. For those of you with multiple children, how quickly did the rest of your body change (taking the focus off the belly)? Did your arms and legs get noticeably bigger as you approached birth and did it go down quickly after birth?

I hope my questions make sense lol, I find that it is more difficult to put proper sentences together these day.

I pay attention to this stuff too! I don't have actual numbers for you, but I can tell you my arms stayed the same size with my DS1. My bust, my hips, and thighs grew several inches! With DS2, my arms, bust, and hips grew a few inches. With my DS3, only my arms and bust grew maybe an inch at most, but my hips and thighs shrunk a couple of inches! This time with my DD, my arms and thighs have increased an inch so far, but my hips have decreased an 1.5! My bust has stayed the same, but my DS3 weaned when I was 19 weeks pregnant. I'm thinking my bust will increase quite a bit once my milk comes in. Usually it doesn't, but my breasts usually get larger pre-delivery.

Kelly, 1pink, are you trying anything in particular to reduce the risk of hemmorage?

I've hemmoraged three times now, with both my sons and the third time with a m/c at 8 weeks. I don't have a blood disorder and they can't find a cause for it, maybe I just have an atonic uterus or something. My midwife suggested I start drinking red raspberry leaf tea (like a litre a day) from 20 weeks on to try to improve uterine tone. I'm also going to try acupuncture. The rrl tea is a pretty time-honored trick so I'm hoping it helps!

Nettle and alfalfa might help with hemmorage risk too- they're both high in vitamin k which assists in clotting (and for our ICP moms, I've seen evidence that vitamin k deficiency is common with ICP).

I had Clomid. I got my RX from my RE, because he noticed my prolactin levels were 4X's higher than they should have been for nursing a 12mo old. It was a fluke really. He just ran the basic hormone panel, and we noticed it. Since I was nursing, I wasn't able to take Bromocriptine, because we didn't want my milk to dry up. Clomid lowers prolactin levels by 65% on average, which put me where my levels should be for the age of baby I was nursing. We both think me dieting too strictly and exercising so rigorously too early post delivery caused my body to compensate with such elevated prolactin to keep up nursing. I started swaying when my son was 3mo old. Probably not the smartest idea I've had [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]!

Hang in there Amelia10!

To be honest i think with my hemorrhage there was something else going on and my hospital are crap! I normally go 9 days over but on this pregnancy had been contracting from 37wks. Went to my clinic appointment at 37+6 and said i think im going into labour (i'd also had a bloody show that morning) he didnt even check me just said no its too early you probably ate something funny. Even the midwives could see something was happening i couldnt walk a couple of feet without having to stop and breathe. That night i was in my sitting room and felt a pop and there was blood running down my legs and i ran to bathroom and the only way i could describe it is a huge piece of something that looks like meat fell out. I went over to hospital they checked said i wasnt in labour but would have to stay overnight with bleeding they said the lump of "meat" was normal although ive never had anything like it before or after and it was huge so not just a blood clot. Anyway I was in too much pain to get off the bed and she was in my arms 45 minutes later. As her head was coming out so was blood and it was everywhere, everyone was panicking there was a million people in the room and my bp was through the floor. Anyway a doc ran in didnt even say anything and put his hand into my womb and took placenta out and the bleeding stopped. The midwife just said i was lucky doc was on the ward as if he was anywhere else it could of been a very different story for me. When i explained all this to my gp she reckons it sounds like that was a piece of my placenta that came out and a blood clot stopped the bleed until i delivered. I dont know if thats possible but it was all so strange it makes sense to me. Thankfully no signs of bleeding since. But my fast labours make me nervous i would deliver before the hospital and bleed out on side of road. Childcare is a major issue for us so if labour started unexpectedly its quite possible i would have to drive myself. I guess thats something to be thankful to gd for as i probably wont get far enough without induction to worry about labouring alone.

I was taking clomid when I conceived this baby. So I'm hoping I break the trend! But yes I have read that clomid sways girl.

But I also had an iui. Which is, from what I've read, supposed to negate the clomid sway since the sperm is deposited directly into the uterus. So there's no travel for the male sperm to die off from. Apparently clomid sways girl cuz it tend to dry up cervical mucous. Thus making it hard for boy sperm to travel to the egg. But like all others it's just a theory! Who knows! I have see more girls conceived tho on clomid than boys!

I'm feeling very pregnant too, Fox! I'm 32 weeks tomorrow so I'm in the home stretch! They "say" she should come sometime between 37-39 weeks based on her measuring 2 weeks ahead from 19 weeks. I always expect my babies to be late like my DS1 and get things all set and ready in case they do come early! My last two have gotten progressively early so who knows!

I'm just thankful I won't have gained a ton of weight this time! My weight has all but stopped since 28 weeks. I'm sitting at around 18-19 lbs. I'm sure I'm good for another 3-5 [emoji6]!

Oh, and I've developed a Zulily obsession! I've already bought her Christmas dress and have 5 more dresses for the colder months sitting in my cart [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]! At $8-$9 dollars each, I'm thinking that's a bargain!!

My boys were born at 36 & 38 weeks and I have GD so I'm hoping for this little man to arrive at the same time. I'd rather be induced to be honest, with my last labour being so fast.

I am feeling so pregnant too! I am only 25w 4d, but I am measuring 29! Ugh. And I have only gained 5 lbs so far. I am praying I can keep it under control this time. The heat is helping since I am never hungry. I will most likely deliver by 38w, so I only have 12-13 weeks to go. One of these days we will come up with a name for this new little one too! Oh my. It is getting so close to our group meeting these little ones!!!

I'm waddling everywhere these days lol. I started eating dates every day 4 weeks ago with hopes my cervix will be nice and soft and my waters stay intact. There's studies which say this is what happens with women who eat them consistently for the last couple of months of pregnancy. I have not weighed myself in 2 months, midwife skipped the scale last time. So I have no idea how I'm doing in that department, but based on size, I haven't gained anything. Belly is starting to stick out more and that's about it :)

Got myself an instant pot (my other one is in storage, bleh) and I'm gonna start batch cooking and freezing. I don't want any food stress with a newborn lol.

Cosmo, I read that study about the dates and ate then towards the end of my pregnancy with DS2 and this one. Pro tip: if you stick a box of dates in the freezer they are amazing on a hot day. They never totally freeze solid, they just get super chewy.

I'm 32 weeks in a coups days. I'm starting to get roouuunnddd lol. But I've only gained 12-13lbs so I'm happy with that. I can just tell I've reached the "fattening" phase for baby AND mommy haha.

I hope I go early. But I doubt I will. Shouldn't have gone on my daughter's due date, I just got lucky cuz I knew the doctor on the floor when I went in for spotting. So he offered to induce me. Of course I jumped on it lol. Also- baby is measuring dead on to the day.

I have a final ultrasound on Monday to check my low placenta. Which I'm sure has moved by now. But if it hasn't then I might get more US's and get to go early! We'll see!

Nann3r- I hope your cervix has moved up! I have only gained 16-18lbs and haven't gained any in 12 weeks. She had a major growth spurt during that time and started measuring 2.5 weeks ahead [emoji51]at my 19 week scan. I doubt I'll gain more than 1-3 more lbs- This typically happens I all of my pregnancies.

I hope you go early! Just not too early [emoji6]! It's always nice to not need any interventions, although they are necessary if needed.

🤞🏻for you! I can't wait to know what you're having! I'm sure you're getting excited too! Have you thought of any names?

I will try to post a pic when I've resolved some of these issues i'm currently having with this site! Just feeling exhausted and slightly panicky that I haven't brought anything yet! I have the opposite problem Nann3r! I feel like she's getting lower. I literally feel like I'm sitting on her head! I'm pretty sure she dropped. My belly never seems to reflect that until they engage. Once that happens, my belly seems to shrink.

I love the names Nann3r! I think we've settled on Olivien Elizabeth. We also like Onnora (Oh-nora) as well.

Anyone take supplements to help ripen the cervix and prepare for labor? Even though this is my third... I can't remember when to start taking primrose oil orally and when to start drinking red raspberry leaf tea. I know vaginally for the oil isn't until like 35 weeks or so... and two teas a day until then either... but I know you can take orally and one tea a day much earlier on. Just curious if any of you have tried these tips. I didn't with my first but my second she came at 38 weeks which was awesome!

I just happened to spot this - I try to butt out of these threads usually but I have to mention that evening primrose is falling out of favor (doesn't work orally, only vaginally, and even midwives are saying that it is ineffective) and I really recommend against EPO orally because I took it and during the birth I had lots and lots of little blood clots coming from my placenta. My entire amniotic fluid was full of them. None of the nurses had ever heard of anyone taking EPO and had never seen the blood clots either. Now that I work on this site and know more about the risks of blood thinners (which are only just being realized) I suspect the EPO thinned my blood enough so I was bleeding from my placenta during the birth and since it doesn't work anyway, I really advise against taking any chances on the EPO orally.

RRLT seemed to work well for me started at 36 weeks but did cause wicked contractions when used earlier than that.

Had my 32 week checkup today. I had an US to check the placenta since it was low a while back.

Good news is that it moved. I'm in the clear.

Bad news is that baby is measuring 2 weeks behind /: I was taken back for another US to check the cord flow.

So baby is in the 24th % and the cord Doppler measured 75%. So the way she explained it to me is that if it hits 90% or higher, this is cause for concern. So she said mine is elevated enough to be monitored. As far as baby's size, it's the same kind of deal. 24th% is lower than they'd like. If I hit 10th % then that's reason for concern so for now I will be monitored. Meaning more ultrasounds and tests.

Should either number go in the wrong direction, then further action will be take of which I'm not sure. They didn't go into any detail should things not get better. She basically said as long as baby is growing even if it's slower and the cord Doppler doesn't go higher than 75% then things should continue as normal. Baby will just be small.

So needless to say I was a little stressed today! And I got a crappy US pic of the skull and it looks super girly. Even though I'm the US it looked boyish! They printed like the worst shot of all the ones I saw! But of I suppose that wasn't the point of today's scan so I can't complain too much.

Anywho- that's my update. Lol

AFM I'll be 24 weeks tomorrow and I'm having the worst round ligament pain or maybe it's gas. The right side of my stomach is killing me! I have an dr appointment tomorrow so I'll be sure to ask about it.

I've started buying a few things for him and I've crocheted two blankets and a newborn beanie for him. I still want to crochet two cocoons, a car seat cover, a pair of pants, some booties, and a couple more beanies so all that's on my to do list. I'll post some pics of his blankets when I get home.

Wow ahorn - that is a crazy amount of crocheting to me! GL. Can't wait to see pic.

Nann - sorry you are going through this. I hope and pray that your lo is safe and things stay as they are. And where are you hiding that baby bump???? You look so tiny!!!! WOW.

AFM - I had my scan yesterday and baby is looking good and measuring a week ahead. And the amniotic fluid levels were on the higher side of normal. The only concern is that the abdominal cavity was on the larger side. I suspect that I will fail my GD test in the coming weeks. As that is most of the time a sign of GD. My bile acid levels for the ICP was actually lower, so I am not sure what is going on with all of this crazy itching. But I am happy that the numbers are not in a dangerous level. The u/s tech was super nice and was not bothered that we had 3 of the boys with us. The littles had appointments earlier, so had to be with us and the 6yo was feeling left out and really wanted to see the baby. The tech knew we did not want to find out gender so she did a great job of keeping away from that area. She was funny and told us to look away as she did the bladder measurements and noticed I was still looking, so she did not give any clues away! Stinker. And she already knew what we were having because it is in our record. Have a wonderful day and I will post pics tomorrow as I forgot them at home and I am now at work, but we got some 3D pics that we have never had before. It was awesome.

Me too...not looking forward to labouring but definitely am excited to meet our new addition. Have you been told you could be more likely to haemorrhage with it being your 6th? I know you could be at risk regardless of how many babies you've had but it seems the likelihood is raised with us....

You can do some things ahead of time to reduce your risk no matter what baby it is. I have had 6, no hemorrhages, but I really concentrate on things to do to not.

(Organic alfalfa capsules, good iron store levels, good quality pregnancy tea daily (a quart of it), keeping baby on/with me, etc).

Just checking in as it's been a while! My pregnancy is going well but we've had a family crisis. My SIL was just diagnosed with a rare leukemia. She's only 40 and it's been completely emotionally exhausting for everyone. We are all sick with anguish watching her endure this horrible chemo and the reality that she will possibly not live through this. But we are trying to remain positive and take it a day at a time.

As far as the pregnancies go, ahorn have you tried a maternity belt? It has saved me both pregnancies!
And Naan, when is your follow up US for Doppler flow? I'll be thinking of you.
Hope all is well with the rest of our group, and those still struggling with GD are doing as well as possible.

I am feeling ok. Still itchy hands and feet. It is getting a bit worse, but my bile acid levels actually went down. :/ So confused. Not that I want to have anything wrong, but I also want some relieve from the itching. It is not all the time, but still super annoying.
At my last appointment, I was measuring 4 weeks ahead (again), so I had another u/s last Monday. Baby was measuring 1 week ahead, but the baby's abdomen was in the 89%, so it was a bit disturbing. The Dr was not too concerned, but I may end up with another u/s to check on baby. I have my glucose test on the 28th and I have a sneaking suspicion I will not pass. We shall see. My fluid levels were high, but still within range.
Other than that I am chugging along. Always tired, but happy to be in the 3rd tri!!!

On another note - has anyone ever had feeling that their pregnancy will end in a still birth. I know how morbid and horrible this sounds. I have had this nagging feeling that something is going to go wrong right in the end. I have never felt like this before. It is really quite upsetting. But even more upsetting is that I have a calm set over me that this will happen, but it will be ok. I may not have described that correctly, but I am disturbed that I feel there is a problem and that I am at peace with it.
Does that make any sense at all? This pregnancy has been really weird for me this time. And I still cannot get anything ready for the baby (no motivation) and no name.

Does that make any sense at all? This pregnancy has been really weird for me this time. And I still cannot get anything ready for the baby (no motivation) and no name.

I know I don't belong in here, but I couldn't read this without responding to say I have the same fears that something will go wrong, especially towards the end, and I will feel if they'd just have taken baby a bit early it all could've been avoided. And I've also had that wash of calm, like something will happen and I know it and know I can't prevent it. It's strange. It is difficult to be fairly out of control with what is going on inside our bodies. But yet, here we are. Can't do much other than take care of ourselves as best we can, keep up with doctor appointments and pray for the best. It is hard. I just wanted you to know you aren't alone.

Starting two nights ago, Around 4:00am I feel so uncomfortable. I get up to go to the bathroom and drink some water. I feel a sharp, pulling/stretching sensation in my cervix. It reminds me of my contractions during labor leading up to 7cm. I'm wondering if I'm starting to dilate and efface. Ugh. Why at 4:00am?!? I can't help but get a bit excited though! I just want her to stay put until at least 37 weeks!

How is everyone else feeling?

*TMI Alert*

Ugh. 6 full bowel movements in one day!!! Not loose, thank goodness, but I'm also having Braxton Hicks too! Let me tell ya, going to the loo is no fun while having contractions at the same time!! There is nothing like going to the pharmacy to pick up hemorrhoid ointment in your nightgown because the thought of laying in bed with a broken butt doesn't sound pleasant!

It must be my body getting prepared because I haven't been constipated (I'm regular still), no chance of food borne illness, or illness of any kind. I hope this doesn't last long!!

XX, you are getting close! wow! :D

I'm officially 30 weeks as of yesterday and I cannot believe it lol.

So I waited all this time to tell my mom, I wanted her to be the first to know and we live very far away from each other. I took the kids for a short photo shoot (I'm a photographer) and I made a wonderful announcement just for my mom. I had it printed and shipped and she got it. Of course she was super surprised and kind of mad at me for waiting so long lol, but my surprise was ruined because the company I used cropped off my eldest which is my mom's biological grandchild. I ended up having to send her a digital image via text, which I could have done in the first place, weeks ago (because it took me a whole month to edit one image lol).

I'm so angry :( I will definitely file a complaint and probably have them ship out the complete image, but the initial surprise was ruined. I would have preferred to tell her in person so I went out of my way to make it a bit special for her. She thought she had random photos being shipped to her (she isn't into digital) so I can only imagine her surprised face. I still remember when I told her about DD (DD was her first grandchild and my grandmother's first great grandchild).

I'm her only daughter and even though we are not close at all, she still cherishes my children and pregnancies more ,so, for her it was a big deal.

Just had to vent, I'm very very irritated!

Now I finally get to tell everyone else before the baby is born LOL! I'm getting to a point where its hard to turn in bed, my snoogle has saved my back, but I'm stuck in 1 or 2 positions all night which has hurt my shoulders. I'm afraid I will break my waters like I did with DD while turning in bed!

Oh man a massage sounds AWESOME. I'm starting to just really have my feet hurt if I'm standing a lot in the day. And my hips are starting to complain. Ah the fun. :)

We leave for a week's vacation on Tues. (I had booked it when I had my early loss because I was tired of waiting around to be pregnant and it just wasn't working out and time was moving and we haven't gone in years). It's a week of leave from work, but I'm ready to wind down some... this has been a very very intense 2 years and time away where the ocean is sounds glorious.

Now just to survive the car trip with 7 of us. [emoji1]

Had my appt today. Baby is about the same. Measuring behind, cord flow hasn't improved nor has it gotten better so I'm pretty much at the same place as before! Growth scan in the next two weeks then I go to weekly appts. So ready for September to be here cuz it'll go fast from there I bet. I'm just impatient sitting at 34 weeks. I wanna meet my baby and I wanna know if it's a boy or girl haha

My sleep patterns are terrible i spend half the night awake up and down constantly to the toliet :running: Im so ready for this to be over , iam exhausted im struggling to add stay awake through the day no energy.. cant wait to have all my energy back.Braxton hicks are full on .:hair: and to top it off she keeps turning my last appt was told she head down so hopefully she stays there cause its getting painful when she turns . No room left.
I hope all u ladies are well not long for many of us too go. Nann3r hang in there and all my blue dust too u.

I just started doing/feeling the same as you FIP! I know it's nesting because I can't even nap during the day if I have a chance, because I have so much energy!

I hope she stays put! My baby girl has no room to change positions and is stuck head down now. She does rotate from side to side and back to front. She prefers to be face down which is good. My DS2 was face up and I had horrible back labor with him!

So excited you're getting close! I can't wait for your update on how labor went and to see pics of her!!

XX - a massage sounds wonderful and 90 minutes is heaven!

Nann - glad at least all is the same and not getting worse. Praying for you and your lo!!! That pic is so cute!!!

FIP - Wow, you are so close! Can't wai to see pics.

AFM - This was a rough weekend. DS4 was sick throwing up all night Friday night and Sat. He was better Sat night and Sunday morning, so took the kids to the fair for the day. It was a long hot day for me, but the kids had fun. I was feeling quite faint at one point from the heat and not drinking enough. Then as soon as we got home, DS4 had a relapse and was throwing up all night again. I ended up taking him to the ER for some Zofran because he could not keep even sips of water down and with him being so little (2yo) I did not want to mess around. They gave us the dis-solvable Zofran that worked wonderful for him! He seems to be on the mend now and we pray no one else gets it as school starts this week! Yikes!!! I have been feeling sick for a few days now, but I have no idea if it is tummy bug or pregnancy related. After spending so much time not eating or sleeping while on "vomit watch" it could be either. I pray that I can feel better after a few days of sleeping at night and less stress.
The kids did get to watch the eclipse yesterday. It was lots of fun. We did not go anywhere, but we were close to totality at 99.8%. It did not get super dark here, but the temp dropped 15-10 degrees.

kelly2017
August 23rd, 2017, 02:35 AM
shanshaff there is nothing i dread more than kids vomiting! its the only time where i think i have too many kids lol.
xx ive never had a massage but it sounds amazing i bet i would love it with all the back pain ive had in this pregnancy. I cant wait for nesting to kick in! although im not sure it will with this baby. Hubby is gone 15 hours a day and our nearly 2 year old is still wakening a lot at night so i think exhaustion is just something i need to get used to lol
Naan you are so close im super jealous, glad things haven't gotten any worse and it sounds like they are keeping a close eye on you which is great.
FIP i just cant wait to be 2 weeks away from giving birth! Its 9 weeks away for me and it feels like it might as well be 9 years lol

AFM My scan yesterday was absolutely amazing. She wouldnt take her arm away from her face no matter what we did so the pics arent as good as they could be but i still love them. Oh and of course i had them look at gender and literally held my breath with nerves but still all girl lol. Her measurements for most are a little lower than the 50th percentile which is fab with gd but the fluid is at the very high side of normal and after all the drama with my last birth that does make me nervous but not a lot i can do about it.374123741337414374153741637417374183741937420

Hello ladies,
I'm very drugged up but wanted to send a quick message to say my baby girl is here!! Had my c section today at 37 weeks + 5 days (early c section due to uterine rupture risk). I'm crap with technology but I'll try and upload a pic when I'm up to it.
Her name is Eve and oh my god I am on cloud 9. I can't believe she is safely here and she is all mine. She weighs 3.39 kg (sorry I'm from Australia but I think that's about 7 pound 4).
I'm so excited for you all to meet your bundles. The newborn joy is indescribable as you all know!

Thanks so much everyone! Yes I'm pretty sure I had the earliest due date of September 8th but had to deliver a couple of weeks earlier.
My last c section was a classical c section which basically is like the "old school" vertical incision (internally) one. If that makes sense. So on the outside I had the regular lower uterine scar but internally I have one longways as well. When they delivered Eve the old longest incision just opened up like a zip. He took forever to put me all back together. He even said my lower uterine/normal c section scar was really thin and that I just have a very difficult uterus and very uncommon.
He strongly advised no more kids which is totally fine as I only wanted three but I just feel so relieved and incredibly blessed to have somehow managed to get my girl before my uterus gave up on me!
I can't believe she is here, I am on such a high and seeing the boys and my husband with her is out of this world. I can't wait to hear about all of your births!

Beautiful pic Mama!!

Nann - how are you still so small??? Crazy!

XX - sounds like she will be here before we know it! Can't wait to start seeing more baby pics.

AFM - My blood work is still all good, so we have no explanation for the itching I am still having (and is getting worse) and I passed my glucose test. Baby was still looking good and is now mostly head down. I am now measuring 5.5 weeks ahead instead of 4. Have no idea what is going on with that.

Yay for passing your glucose test, Shannshaff! I'm glad baby is doing ok!

I'm. So. Tired. Like extremely exhausted. I don't remember ever feeling this way in my other pregnancies. I'm so taking a nap today! My iron levels are great and so are my Vitamin D levels. Maybe this is nature's way of making sure I get plenty of rest before baby comes! I mean, I could so go to bed right now! 12:30pm cannot come soon enough (nap time for my DS3!)!

How is everyone else doing/feeling?

Feeling the same XX. I have no energy and no desire to do anything. UGH. I was not like this last time. I think my age (41) is catching up to me. And I really need to get on more unpacking from our move and getting some of the baby stuff out and ready!!!

I hear ya! I have a huge desire to get stuff done, but I think I'm going to have to pace myself. I need to get some cleaning done for my DS1's birthday party on Sunday. I have a few things left to do, but I'm simply not going to be able to do it all at once. My DH is going to help out on Saturday, but I should have the cleaning done except mopping upstairs. For some reason, vacuuming and mopping seem to put a huge strain on my hips.

I'll get it all done somehow- I always do! Plus, my house will be ready for the baby!

Here here! Soooo tired. I still have to set up everything and I feel overwhelmed.

I got to peek at the baby yesterday. Had amniotic fluid measured because I felt very wet. I really didn't want a lengthy ultrasound , but the tech took 20 mins.

Good news is, baby's spine is complete (was a worry of mine) baby is head down, facing inwards and placenta at the back. No more harassment about baby's size I hope lol.

Ugh! Napping didn't help [emoji30]! I guess this is my lot until she comes. I sure hope I get the burst of energy. I fear I already had that [emoji20]. I guess I better get used to it- it's not going to be much better nursing a newborn 🤣🤣🤣! I'm reminding myself that I asked, hoped, and prayed for this [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]! Oh the irony is not lost on me!

Ah my house is a disaster and no one is helping other than keeping our kitchen clean. I am so afraid I can't dig out of all the stuff before the baby arrives. It's chaotic and driving me CRAZY!!!

11.5w before our due date, I'm way behind most of us all here on this thread. [emoji177]27w in this picture but I'm 28.5 now.

You look great Birthfree and Cosmos!

I am right there with thinking I am not going to have everything ready when this little one decides to visit! UGH. Maybe this weekend I can manage to dig out the NB clothing at least!

Aw thanks guys!
You're all getting close now! Yep I was exhausted too by the end.. I was having terrible nights' sleep and was so uncomfortable.
We are slowly adjusting... I had a complicated c section due to my uterus being an abnormal shape. My previous c section was a T bone incision, so an internal vertical incision was made to get the baby out. This c section the baby basically tore that old incision open like a zip when they were pulling her out. It was very difficult to stitch back together and I've been told I can't have any more kids so I'm feeling very blessed to have gotten my 3 precious kids here safely and can't believe that I finally got my daughter before my uterus gave up! Lol.
Needless to say it's a tough recovery. I'm day 9 today and just starting to find the pain manageable but she is so worth it. She's everything I dreamed she would be and more.
Glad to hear everyone is travelling well. Even though I don't post often I'm always checking this thread to see how everyone is.

I had my Prenatal massage today and it was awesome! I highly recommend you ladies get one!

I'm now getting my house ready for my DS1's birthday party tomorrow and for baby's arrival. I can't believe I have 1-4 weeks left! Crazy! I will have everything finished by the end of this weekend including packing my hospital bag. Eek! I'm getting so excited!

How is everyone else doing/feeling? I can't wait to have more babies arrive! We should be having some more real soon!

I'm hitting the "I'm over it" phase. Starting to waddle, have to lean back a bit to counter the weight... breathing is tough lol. And I'm just so tired.

I worked my last shift at my part time job yesterday. So that helps cuz I have a lot to get done at my house for baby. Removing the bathroom, putting in a fence and painting the kitchen as well as the nursery. So it'll be nice to have the rest of the month off to focus..

I'm just ready to get this kid out though.. lol I'm drained

I hear ya, Nann3r! I'm SO tired and impatiently waiting for the burst of energy! I hope we both get one 🤞🏻! I literally could sleep all day, if only I could! There is always something to do and sometimes my mind can't turn off all I still want to get done. I'm hoping after this weekend things will settle down!
