Hi, clomid has messed up my ovulation tests i think as I started testing cd 9 (after taking day 3-7). I got a high on CD10 and Peak cd11 sunday so we did it sunday night. well, I've been getting High flashing smile since cd12 on a different CB digital monitor.
Do I wait for another Peak? Or do every 4 days ( is that sunday and do it again wed or thursday?) im confused about every 4 days. I really only wanted 1 time at positive opk but now from clomid i have no idea when i will ovulate. I normally ov CD14/15
Please help! Do i do it again tonight (sunday night was first attempt) or thursday? or wait to see if i get another peak? Im CD14 today and have cervical fliud and had none on sunday.
thanks!!! Jen

Thank you! I had one more question please :)
Do you want me to wait to see if I get peak? Or do every 4 days? We did attempt Sunday and is e4d Sunday-wed or Sunday to Thursday?
Or do I just keep waiting to do it again since I've had high fertility for a couple days?

Atomic, I'm worried that my E4d was 2 attempts in my fertile period. I really wanted only 1 (as all 3 boys were from 1 attempt also). I guess what's done is done but now I'm freaking out. Don't even know if I'm pregnant yet but I'm pretty sure I am (since I dropped all the other jellies/antihistamines/timing etc).
I think I ovulated on the 15th (positive Opk on 14th)
We had sex on the 11th and 14th---is that considered 2 attempts in fertile period?
Will the sperm from the 11th last till the 15th?

No, it is one attempt. We have had very, very low odds of conception with 4 day cutoffs and that is actually beyond what I consider e4d - is actually e5d really.

Oh okay good thank you! That's the only thing I've been super worried about my sway. So the 11th and 14th is considered e5d? Is that because I ovulated the day after the 14th?
Thanks so much for easing my mind! I was upset thinking I messed up my whole sway with 2 attempts!

agh I'm sorry I thought you had an attempt on the 15th too (sorry been a long morning) You're right it is e4d because if you start counting the days, 11, 12, 13, 14 then that is the 4 day pattern. But is still one attempt. There is like a lightning strike chance of sperm from the 11th lasting all the way to the 15th.

Atomic, I didn't get pregnant on this 1st clomid cycle :( I'm super upset as these side effects of clomid have been horrible. Extreme bloating, I've gained 5-6 lbs (which is what I had lost on the diet so I weigh about 113-114 now), nausea etc. Is all this normal? I did ease up and eat more calories during the 2ww and def snacked (I thought I was pregnant and also felt like vomiting from clomid side effects without food).
I think I'll try one more and last round of clomid if you think it sways so much for girls.
What do I need to change though? Don't do jump and dump? E4d the whole cycle? I did 1 attempt at positive opk and e4d before that because I got multiple solid smiley faces. I did CD 10 and CD 14 and I ovulated on CD 15 I think. Then we did again on cd18 but I know I had already ovulated. So kinda e4d?
I need to get pregnant the 2nd round as I won't do clomid anymore after that...I've never felt so bad in my life from the clomid.
Also, I feel so bad that I haven't worked out since I started the clomid (so like 3 weeks) I was going to try to start working out again though. Have I messed up during these 2ww? Weight gain from clomid, and not being able to work out, and I can barely stomach alcohol. I'm due to start my period again June 30th.
OB did a blood test at 8dpo and negative hcg and all home pregnancy are also negative.
Please help! Don't know what to do next time! I'm so stressed :(

You did a lot to sway, though, Jenn. Can you please give me a rundown of everything, even the things like jellies and stuff like that??
If this is truly your last month on the Clomid then please do e4d plus one more attempt at pos OPK. Do e4d both before and after O to be sure you're covered and then toss in an additional attempt at that pos OPK.
NO J and D, lay flat 15-30 min at least.
I don't usually have reports of side effects like this, no. While you were taking it possibly, but not after. I suspect it made you have a nice big progesterone rise which is good for pregnancy but can cause the symptoms of pregnancy. So the good news is that just maybe this won't happen again next month. I do think it's the best of the best sway tactic there is so I do recommend it if you can tough it out.

I didn't do anything other than the j&d after about 6 minutes. I really thought I was pregnant which is why I upped my calories in the 2ww because I was certain I was pregnant from the side effects. I felt fine while taking it but after---I've never felt so bad in my life (I actually felt great, all 3 pregnancies).
I'll def tough it out if you think it sways the best for girl.
Do you think it sways more fit girl even by adding in attempts?
Wondering if I should do the e4d but just don't j&d like you said and maybe elevate my hips?
Won't adding in another attempt at opk sway big for boy? Or I can just pray that the day I ovulate is our e4d attempt [emoji51]

Clomid sways more than adding that one attempt does, though. So it pays off to add the attempt if this is really the only Clomid month.
Now, if it was up to me (which it isn't, only you know how miserable you are) then yes, I'd keep the Clomid and do just that this next month - e4d plus extend J and D to 15-30 min, no propping hips though.

I'm really worried about taking the clomid too long....like that it will thin my uterus and raise my chances of a miscarriage. My dr said only 3 months on clomid and this will be my second. It scares me to do more than that. Is this a legit worry or am I freaking myself out?

Atomic, I forgot to add that my hubby has been drinking a lot of whisky (I've been making him) which he did not do when we conceived the other boys. Should I have him quit or decrease that? Does that mess up his sperm or just lower it? Thanks :)

Oh gosh sorry I wrote this yesterday and then it must not have gone through. Thank goodness for autosave!
YOu're freaking yourself out.
Most people who take Clomid suffer no ill effects (the kind of side effect you're talking about are one thing, but I mean in terms of your overall fertility) and of the minority that do it is only after 3 months and usually more like 5-6. I know literally ONE person who had a thin lining on Clomid and she was starving herself (against my wishes of course). Most often, if you would have had a thin lining on Clomid, you also won't O on it
I get questions like this all the time from my Clomid mamas - people who are 110% sure their linings are bad or they'll have no EWCM and will be infertile and then end up getting pregnant the next month anyway! :)

Re whiskey, it can over time but I doubt that's what is going on here. I'd still cut it back though.

Hi Atomic, I'm on my 2nd round of clomid and today will be my last pill...do I start the e4d now and go through when I'm sure I ovulated? My first round of clomid I got my peak the evening of CD13 so I'm assuming I ovulated the evening of CD14...should I time the e4d to be on the day of my Peak ovulation test (which would be CD13?) or does it even matter how close to ovulation with ed?
Also, I have not done the cardio for this whole cycle :( have I messed up the sway? Will it raise my testosterone if I start exercising for this week until my ovulation in about 8 days? OR should i just cont with no cardio this cycle? I also weigh about 2 pounds more this cycle than the previous....should I try to lose those 2 pounds by cutting out some carbs and more salads? I've been living primarily on lots of white carbs.
Is it more beneficial to eat less during Ovul weeK
thanks again!Jenn

Yes! Even if that means going all the way through till NEXT AF!!!
Do not try to time your BD to come out on a certain day. Just try to put it out of your mind as much as possible. We oftentimes outsmart ourselves trying to BD on a day we imagine will be the best odds of conception when in reality we may have been better off the day before or the day after and keeping that element of luck involved prevents that from happening.
I honestly don't know if skipping the cardio or starting it now is better. It is just one of those crystal ball questions that I can't say for sure. What I do know is that exercise has had such consistently good results that I do tend to have people err on the side of starting it instead of skipping it any more, just because it's been so good for so long that it totally outweighs the (entirely imaginary, never proven at all) idea that short bursts of cardio raise testosterone and sway blue. Honestly, we don't even know that testosterone sways blue anyway!
If your BMI is 21 or below then I'd hold steady. If it's more than that I'd try to drop the 2 lbs just because. Don't go overboard though as dieting right before O may delay it.
No, it's not beneficial to eat less before O and in fact may harm your sway by delaing or stopping ovulation. If doing anything for a week before could do anything, we'd only do diet for a week!! Plus, we know for a fact that people who dieted (even when very very strict) for only 2-4 weeks before conception had much lower results than those who dieted much less intensely for 12 weeks or more and this would not be the case if there was any benefit to last minute strictness!
