Are we supposed to lose a little weight on the girl diet even if we are thin already? i've started the LE diet and i just started being more active, running around at the park every evening with the kiddos etc. i am 5ft2in and weighed 118 before starting the diet and i've lost 4 lbs in 3 days. I'm assuming i must have a fast metabolism and all that eating gave me so many nutrients to make my boys when i conceived them because i snacked all day and ate big meals lol. I'm currently on birth control so i don't know if losing weight will affect my O in any way but i did buy an OPK for when we try in 6+ weeks. i know once i become pregnant i will start eating a ton like i did with my 3 boys. I'm not concerned about gaining the weight back, but is it okay to lose this weight when i am already small to begin with?

Also i know there have been good results with coffee. what kind of coffee? i like to add cream and sugar. i also drank coffee with cream and sugar every morning when i conceived my boys which makes me feel negative about drinking coffee. should i cut back or maybe take it differently. I don't eat breakfast in the morning but I was thinking the coffee with cream and sugar in the morning will get my blood sugar back up which ruins the idea of skipping breakfast and lowering blood sugar?

Any input is appreciated.

I'm no expert but I think coffee with skimmed milk (smallest amount you can cope with) and no sugar or a sugar alternative is fine
But with cream and sugar counts as breakfast!

And I'm so skinny and started the diet 3 weeks ago and have lost weight already, I think it may be affecting ovulation or could be the miscarriage I had over a month ago but no period yet
I'm the skinniest I've been in so long
So I'm upping my limits slightly and also eating loads of low carb veg
And adding more calories with sweets with my meals and wine!!! X

Thanks for your input about the coffee! I think I will switch to skim with equal. And wait til I eat lunch to have it, if I even need it. I'm only drinking coffee because there have been great girl results with it but something is telling me to just forget about it because I drank coffee morning and night when I conceived my 3 boys.

I don't drink wine normally but I might start doing a glass of wine with dinner now that you mentioned it lol. I never was much of a wine drinker but that could be something that will give me my GIRL! lol I'm wishful thinking.

No.

If you are BMI 21 or lower, do the basic tenets of diet trying to hold steady where you are and if a small amount sneaks off in the meantime then it's not a dealbreaker, just try to hold steady. If you are BMI 18.5 or below that is the cutoff, do NOT lose any weight at all, period.

You have to eat more. No more weight loss. Up cals, mostly carbs,a nd if you have to fudge a bit on protein and fat that's ok, just stop the weight loss. It is MUCH better to lose no weight than to lose too much and have to basically sway blue just to get ovulation going again.

Coffee with whatever whitener you like (even cream) is fine. In fact people with PCOS may even do better with cream (and should avoid skim milk). Exception is lattes with 1-2 cups of milk and substantial amounts of calories, those should be avoided or treated as a meal. Unsweetened or artificial sweeteneers only.

PLEASE include the coffee. The results have been spectacular. Whatever reason you got boys before I can assure you it wasn't the coffee or we woulnd't be seeing the results we have. "Doing the opposite" only works when it is something that actually swayed blue for you. When people "do the opposite" on things that were swaying pink, but just that their overall lifestyle/diet outweighed that - it only hurts your sway!! It doesn't help you at all!

Most of us have had coffee in the mornings. If that hurt a sway in any way we would 110% know that by now. I even cheated and had coffee with real sugar in the mornings and still got a girl that way (not advocating that, but my point is that I really don't want you cutting back something that is working!)

Lovell - Low carb veg do nothing to keep weight on though. They are free and unlimited, have as much as you want, but PLEASE add in real food with real, stick to your ribs kind of calories to keep weight on.

You guys do not need to use only skim and in fact some people CAN"T have skim (PCOSers) it is also a good way to smuggle in some more calories if needed, by having full fat cream in coffee since it's just fat and cals without much protein - some people have a hard time sticking in protein limits and cream in coffee is great for that. It is also full fat dairy and can be helpful when O has stopped or is delayed.
