Mucus plug?? Tmi

I am 30 weeks today and I seen this and when I wiped I seen this.. not sure if this could be part of the mucus plug or just discharge.. help https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170626/83a3eaf43c14d6189b3f93095a16a75b.jpg

It is normal to have a lot of vaginal discharge and that looks like discharge to me. The plug is thicker than that and is often accompanied by some blood (and is also often weirdly colored). I always found it to be obviously something strange I'd never seen before, no question in my mind what it was. The good news is, even if it was the plug or part of it, it can regrow, and the important thing is that you aren't having any other symptoms (bleeding, cramping, fever, your water breaking, etc)

If you're really concerned with it then you can always call the doc and get in to be checked for any changes in your cervix BUT the risk is that the more you check stuff, the higher the risk that your water could actually break or that microorganisms could sneak in and cause infection.

Personally I'd take a wait and see approach but you have to do what will give you the most peace of mind.

It *could* be part of your plug but like Atomic said, it can regrow. I kept losing bits of mine when pregnant with DS2 and DS3 starting around 20ish weeks. It wasn't until the week or so before DS2 was born that I lost a huge chunk of it. It looks like a big blob of white or pink jelly. With DS3 I didn't lose a lot of it until my water had already broken. So don't freak out, it's more than likely normal. :)
