View Full Version : Clomid for girl sway

JaneL

Hi ladies

This is my first post 😊

Just wanted to get a few people's opinions and experience on taking clomid for girl sway.

I have always got pregnant the first month of trying - so would be solely taking clomid for the purpose to sway to pink.

I'm anxious about taking clomid

Appreciate your time to answer

I have clomid for my sway but haven't taken it yet, will be starting to take it in a couple of weeks. I'm not going to lie I'm anxious about taking it but it seems quite a few on here have taken it for swaying purposes. Hopefully someone will come along with experience to give you advice :)

I was wondering the same thing. Doctors don't give clomid for swaying, right? I'm not sure how people are getting it. I have PCOS so I assume after a few months of saying we haven't been able to conceive they would give me a script, but how are others getting it? I know it has some nasty side effects so I'm not sure how I feel about taking it for the sole purpose of swaying. I'm hoping you get a reply from someone more knowledgable soon!

Hi EnglishDame

I am from UK also. Did doctor give you clomid? I am just anxious about taking clomid and not being monitored. Will you be monitored by a doctor?

Hi ttcbabygirls

I know some people are buying it on the internet or borrowing it from people who have a script.

Have you both been swaying for long?

Hallo all,
I will also use Clomid only for my girl sway. I've read that Clomid is quite save and is very good sway tactics.
I'm worry only about hyper ovulation! Because it stimulates ovulation in people struggle to ovulate. I conceive very quickly so I'm anxious about more eggs being released.
I had two miscarriages in row last month and I wait for first period and I will try Clomid because another doctor prescribed me it.

Not sure where you live ttcbabygirls, but in the U.K. If you can't get clomid from your doctor then there are pharmacists on line where you pay for a private consultation and prescription.

I'm taking it only for ttc purposes only and I'm too feeling rather nervous.

I take it you're not being monitored either?
I will be taking my first pill on 17th if my cycle stays the same length this month (sometimes varies by a day or so) it's not far away though it's a bit nerve wracking!
When are you girls starting to take it? Would be nice to have a wee group of us to support each other! I'm really hoping to fall quickly as I only have 2 months worth of clomid! Fingers are crossed!

No im not being monitored, not even though about that really. I was originally going to start this month but my diet has been so hit and miss that we decided to go for August. So it's going to be another four to five weeks yet! :nails:

Can you tell me where you got the clomid from. I'm in the uk too and would like to take it for swaying

ttcbabygirls

Wow! I didn't realize you could get it online. I do have pcos, but I've never had a problem ovulating. I just get ovarian cysts from time to time. I've been reading up on clomid a little bit and one of the side effects can be ovarian cysts so because of that I would be too afraid to take it without being closely monitored by a doctor.
I know i could have a pretty good girl sway without it, but I'm so awful I keep having this internal debate about whether or not to pursue taking it anyway for twins. I've always wanted them, but promised myself i wouldn't actively try for them because of the risks that go along with carrying twins. I've always hoped I'd just get lucky and naturally conceive them.
I do desperately want another girl though, so I would want clomid for that reason even if twins weren't a factor. I don't know! See what i mean? Internal debate. Ugh.

Reply to JaneL:

I haven't actually started doing anything but research so far. We just had a baby in May so we aren't going to be TTC until next year! I'm probably going to start LE diet and supplements right after Christmas and try in March! We've always conceived on the first try so I'm assuming this time will be the same! I could pretty much guaranteed get a script for clomid with my pcos if I was willing to wait longer between having my kids, but now that I've stopped to think about it, I can't really say we're having trouble conceiving when we have a 10 month old. No doctor is going to buy that. I'm sure they'd tell me to come back after we've been trying for over a year or something. Damn. I can't believe i just realized that lol.

Part of me wants to postpone our attempt too as I don't feel like my diet has been great but I'm honestly so done now with waiting and definitely ready to see how we go. I can't even imagine worrying about every thing that passes my lips for too much longer. I'm hating this diet it's so different to my usual diet, and that's me not even doing it 100% :( I may regret that if we have another boy but I feel like I've tried.

This diet is definitely playing with my head lol. I wasn't ever a huge eater and to be honest I didn't snack all day or eat loads of fat and protein so I'm hoping the changes I have made will be enough to sway for me, I just can't imagine it working. I keep putting my attempts off each month but I'm just gonna take the clomid this month and give it my best shot. I've been on and off this diet so long I never get it perfect. I found the le easier than the pcos diet. I'm hoping we are all lucky enough to achieve our dreams,
Where can I get clomid online I have mine from last time swaying and I don't want to pay a fortune fo a private doctor again to get some.

I was also waiting those 12 weeks on Le diet. So we TTC in April this year and I had two miscarriages in row, right now I'm 7 months on a diet! Sometimes is better try earlier. I think we will never be sure when to start.

Fiveboys what dose did you take of metformin? I'm only on 1000mg and from what I've read that's a pretty low dose. Did you feel like your diet was perfectly pcos le?

Would be interested to know if you had any side effects on clomid too? :)

It's great we can all support each other when swaying for pink on clomid! I have started the LE Diet and going to start to TTC in September.

I find the no snackinh the hardest bit of the LE diet.

Hopetoswaypink - I got my clomid from oxford pharmacy online.

What dosage and what days is everyone going to take clomid? I'm taking 50mg - and atomic recommended days CD 3-7.

hopetoswaypink
July 6th, 2017, 04:59 PM
Or maybe the online pharmacy will give you more if you aren't pregnant in 2 cycles?

EnglishDame
July 6th, 2017, 05:47 PM
I got 2 months from the online pharmacy too. I don't think Atomic thinks that 25mg is quite as good a sway but I suppose if I don't get pregnant the first month I might consider splitting the pills to give an extra month. Clomid still sways the month after so potentially 3 months of that extra sway really.

Not sure if they'd give more, it might be worth a shot I suppose!

Hi Frilly Lady metformin is prescribed by a doctor for diabetes or pcos. I'm not using it for my sway I wouldn't get prescribed it any way.
The clomid I had left over from my last sway was out of date when I checked it so I ordered more today on the online pharmacy. I didn't want to pay a fortune going to. Gynecologist and getting a private script then having to pay for scans to be monitored. I am going to take clomid days 3-7 fingers crossed it works. I will use 50 mg and then maybe split it to 25mg if I need to because I will only have two months wort. I'm not worried about twins I think it would be great to concieve twin girls my only problem would be my husband wouldn't be that happy lol!

Hi Pinkrose.
I wilk do the same as you: first month 50mg CD3-7 and then split it to 25 to have two months more.
I have had two gestational sacs one month ago but I've miscarried at 5 weeks. I was happy about twins but worry that could be two BOYS.

I'm confused ladies! I looked up the oxford pharmacies website and it said:

"Oxford Online Pharmacy provides UK approved fertility medicines at the best prices, quickly, safely and efficiently. You must have a private or NHS prescription to order these fertility medicines. Please post the prescription to us, after you have ordered, so that we can fulfill your order, to the following address:- Oxford Online Pharmacy. Hardwick Shopping Centre, Ferriston, Banbury, Oxford, OX16 1XE, England. If you live locally you can order online and collect the fertility medicines from Frosts Pharmacy at the same address, as long as you have a prescription."

Do you guys have prescriptions? Or id you just pay $25 for the consultation to get it? Are you all in the UK?

I just had a baby in May so we're not planning to try until March! I'm going to be losing weight with the atomic fertility diet until Christmas, then I'll start all of my supps and LE diet. I wish I could try sooner, but I could barely get DH to agree to starting in March! Lol

Hi! I've been doing a lot of research about this the past week and I'm really coming up empty handed. It seems like any sites we could get it from in the US are super shady and illegal. The Oxford site previous posters were taking about doesn't do consultations for the US. The online consultations are a legal (ish) way to skirt the law and get it without a script and unfortunately I have not been able to find anything like that in the states. Let me know if you have any luck! I've been looking up soy isoflavones which are supposed to work kind of like a natural clomid and you don't need a script, but it seems like its been swaying more blue because it increases your CM :( so thats a super bummer.

I could have written this myself minus the meat, I don't eat it! The strange thing is I'm not normally a big eater but when I deny myself something it's all I think about. When I had my two boys many years ago I hardly ate anything so for me to eat less I would have to starve. I'm really feel I'm fighting a loosing battle and this is all just a waste of time, especially at my age.

Frilly no money taken from my account yet I'm hoping to hear back from them tomorrow if not I guess I will have to pay to see a private gynecologist here to get a script again and then they start to do scans, bloods & ends up a fortune I could do with out spending!
Frilly I'm like you I hardly ate anything when I had my boys so I feel like no matter what I do it will never work that's why I went hi tech! I feel like I'm running out of time and it causes me great anxiety & stress I almost can't cope thinking I will never have a daughter.
I'm also relaxed on the diet but trying to do the best I can and I never ate red meat.

Pink rose
July 16th, 2017, 10:19 AM
Yes I will be taking clomid this month to sway. I can't keep putting it off or I will never feel my sway is good enough. I was just reading that on the pcos diet we stay below 150g I go above that most days, the more I read the more confused and get and the more I keep putting my sway off.
I'm eating twice a day, coffee, alcohol, exercise and clomid so I need to focus on the changes I've made and start ttc. I've been on the le diet and then changed to the pcos diet so long now I feel I go with the flow and could be a lot more strict.
I look around me every day at the people who have girls and I just wonder how they got them so easy with out all this lol

EnglishDame
July 16th, 2017, 10:32 AM
I honestly feel exactly the same. I've made so many changes, massive changes to how I normally eat and I've been exercising too. I've been adding in coffee but not alcohol (I will drink alcohol this cycle but haven't been up until now). I've only been eating twice a day and having a long overnight fast. At the end of the day it comes down to luck too so even a perfect sway could fail. I just can't wait to be pregnant now so my diet can get back to normal! I also feel that we've been putting ttc off so long we could've been pregnant by now and if I keep looking for the perfect sway before we try we'll never do it!
I too look around at mums of girls and think how can people get so lucky! But then I know people with 2 or more girls who would love a boy and would think the same about us. One of my friends has 4 girls and eats all the time so I do think sometimes it comes down to your hormone make up (hopefully clomid will help us with that!)
Crossing my fingers for us both!

Frilly Lady
July 16th, 2017, 11:48 AM
That's good to hear you finally got it Pinkrose!

Good luck EnglishDame, hope you get get your bfp very soon.

I had a total meltdown this morning, this dg is getting to me big time like it never has before. My poor dh has been through so much with me these past 6 years I could never thank him enough. You'd think after 5 failed ht cycles and over two years on and off trying naturally I would have got the hang of it and mellowed a little. I think it's all just hit me big time and I feel at my age (42) I've got to somehow come to terms with never having my dg and trying to move forward. But damn it's hard, very hard emotionally and physically, and it's starting to take it's toll on me. I live in a fantastic part of the country with two great boys, well men now actually, who've been so easy to bring up, a fantastic dh who's gone along with everything without a cross word, and I have a job I love. So I know how very very lucky and blessed I am, I just need to step out of this emotional bubble I've been encased in, give myself a damn good shaking and start getting on with my life now my life is moving into its next stage.
Sorry for the rant I just needed to get it out. I'm giving myself two more tries with clomid then that's it finished! :smoke:

Well today is officially cd1, thought it would have been yesterday. So Tuesday I take the first pill, so nervous! Is it better to take it with food or just take it on its own before bed?

How are you getting on with the clomid? Any side affects?

Ok so first pill was last night before bed and I went straight to bed and slept through so that was good, woke up feeling a bit funny but part of me wonders if it's the clomid or just in my head because I'm so nervous I'm looking out for every little side effect! I definitely have a slight headache but nothing too bad so who knows if that's even to do with the clomid. Generally so far so good but it has only been one pill. I'm so nervous about this month!

Frilly just reading your post terrifies me because I feel exactly the same, I just don't know how to move on in life without my daughter. Coming from high tech and then trying to sway is extremely hard because I feel you want to do everything perfect to achieve your dream, I'm in the same situation.
I just hope that no matter where we end up we find peace at the end of this journey and I know no matter how good the other things in life we have are, it's hard to step to the outside and look in when you feel the desperation and longing for a daughter you want so badly.
I'm thinking of you and hoping this works out for you plenty of people in my family have had babies at 41/42 so please don't give up hope! I would love to feel the contentment of having a daughter and get rid of all this anxiety, worry, stress, desperation and longing that I've felt for so long. I just hate it.
Sticking to the diet and exercise doesn't help it can be hard at times.
I don't know weather to start my clomid this month as I'm going on holiday and I will be cheating a bit but will only be there two days when I have my attempt.

Thanks Pink rose, it's all just so hard to deal with, I thought it would get easier but it's not. I'm finding the diet really difficult this time to stick to, I think it's because I feel so down I want to be able to eat nice things to make me feel a little happier. We're going on holiday soon too so I'm starting next month, if I haven't given up by then! I hope you have a lovely holiday and get your bfp very soon. X

I think that's one of the nice things about this forum is it's a place where you can be honest about gender desire/disappointment without judgement.
I agree with the things you girls have said, I just always pictured my life with girls. My dh only wants 2 children and realistically it's a good number for us but if we have a boy I know none of the other reasons will matter and I'll want to try again. The reality is though we could have 10 kids and they could all be boys because we have no control. My dh is 100% against us going ht because although he would like a girl he doesn't feel the way I do and thinks it's far too expensive and stressful to consider.
I really hope we all get our dg, fiveboys I love your story it gives me so much hope!

Thanks fiveboys, if I wasn't too old I would definitely stick with ht as I find swaying far harder both physically and emotionally. On paper swaying looks much easier and atomic certainly makes things so easy for us to understand and follow but I just can't seem to stick to the eating this time around. I think I know in my head I'm probably not going to try again as I just can't stop eating the wrong things and I eat so much more now than I did when I was younger and had the boys. So I feel it's not likely to work as I could never go back to eating that little. I used to miss so many meals back then, sometimes only having a yogurt all day and I still managed to get boys.

Congratulations five boys you must feel like you've won the lotto having a little girl! How strict were you with your sway? Please give us some info on you feel you were successful.
I feel done from this whole thing I've have gd from I had my first son so long ago it doesn't get any easier.
I felt high tech drained everything I had I couldn't believe I give it everything I had including money and we walked away with nothing! The secrecy and everything surrounding it I found really hard I may have thought different if I'd have been lucky.
Frilly I also ate very little when I concieved my boys and did tones of cardio I'm just not sure how this is going to work for me but I can't continue on not trying, I guess I'm just looking to feel some peace and contentment from within fingers crosssed all our sways work and I've read so many perfect ones failing and more relaxing ones work out.
Try not to worry about eating treats here and there frilly I do it to but we are only human and when under pressure to achieve something so bad we mentally set ourselves up for failure to protect our emotions.

I just found this thread! I'm hoping that all of your sways are successful! After swaying and getting our beloved DS3, I believe Clomid, one attempt (via BDing E3D or E4D), and staying in the LE diet limits to be what brought us our DD. I also drank caffeinated coffee and alcohol (white wine or hard seltzer) helped too. I got pregnant the next cycle after my last Clomid dose. My RE said that Clomid takes 8-10 weeks to clear from your system.

🤞🏻so hard for all of you!!

Congratulations on your girl xx it must feel amazing for your sway to work. Were you very strict or did you take a more relaxed approach to your sway?
I'm going on holiday at the end of the month and due to ovulate a few days later, I know I will have some cheats as I will be away with family and it will be hard not to. Do you think I should keep my clomid until next month rather than take it now and cheat around the time I ovulate? Any advice girls I really want this sway to work so bad!

XXforhubby
July 22nd, 2017, 03:28 PM
Thank you! I stuck to the limits but ate whatever I wanted, which was my only compromise. I had to eat meat at times because of family events or vacations. I just made sure to stay in the limits and ate mainly vegetarian. As far as cheats, I always had whatever I wanted the first 3 days of AF. I didn't worry too much about my sway, because I didn't think I would get pregnant. My BFP came 12mo after starting to TTC! Plus, my DH took forever to warm up to having a 4th child. I also had to stop exercise the cycle prior to getting my BFP due to being under too much stress of my DS2 needing surgery.

Just do what you can that gets the best results: LE diet with sticking to the limits, exercise (if you can manage it), one attempt either way, coffee, alcohol, and of course Clomid. This is a fab sway!

Well in trying to do the pcos diet (trying my best) but need treats to keep me going chocolate is my down fall, exercise 5 days a week 60 mins on a stationary bike, switched from tea to coffe with milk, fiber, wine some nights with dinner and clomid. Just not sure if I should start clomid tomorrow night or wait until I come back from holiday it means I will have to cheat around ovulation I'm a bit unsure about it. Thanks

You can have chocolate! I always had a square or two of Dove milk chocolate! Milk chocolate is best. Your sway sounds great! Just to make sure, Clomid needs to be taken CD3-7 or CD5-9 (CD- cycle days). It can't be taken at any other time in your cycle.

I am on cycle day 3 tomorrow which is when I would start it but I go away at the end of this month on holiday which is when I will ovulate and I will have to cheat right around ovulation on my diet because I family with me. Only you can decide that one! All I would think is to do a boy sway you'd need to do a lot more than a couple of days of cheating on an already le diet that you've been doing. If that makes sense! It sounds like you're doing great!
Let us know what you decide to do about clomid. I've just taken my last pill, first attempt tonight and every 4th day from now on. Nervous but trying to keep positive!

Glad you have started English Dame, I wouldn't say I'm doing great on the diet, I'm doing my best but could be doing better. I've spoke with my husband today who would wants this over as soon as possible lol! But he thinks I should wait until August. I have been really down lately too with all this but I do feel the diet and the ttc business and do the perfect sway can make us feel crap.

When I was swaying on my last holiday I had breakfast in the hotel which was usually yogurt and fruit (because we were bed and breakfast). Then just drank water and iced frappes all day. Then at dinner in the evenings I had the most amazing salads with all sorts of fruits, cheeses and breads but made sure I didn't overdo the cheese! It was some of the best meals abroad I'd ever had and would probably never had tried if I wasn't sticking to limits. On the odd day I just had a small sushi salad I allowed myself a pudding. I always went for a long hours walk after my meal, and with the heat it was a good workout. A couple of days I stayed in the pool and swam around for an hour! Have a fab time x

Thanks frilly I think I will do the fruit and yogurts at lunch time as i have always gone without breakfast believe it or not and it isn't a problem for me. I love fresh fruit! I will try salads for dinner but I'm not that fussed on salad but love the different breads and love desserts! I'm really going to have to try my best here as I would usually do tea and pastries, pizza all the nice we treats when I'm on holiday.

Imama we're at the exact same point then. I haven't had any real symptoms I don't think, we dtd on sat and will do again tonight and continue e4d pattern.
I started opks yesterday so will see what happens, really hoping for a positive today but I'm thinking it'll be later on for some reason. I hate doing opks because I have this fear that I won't get a positive at all. Hopefully e4d is covering our bases anyway.

Hi girls

Just a quick question to see what you guys think?

I had planned to start ttc with clomid in September - because my youngest will be 9months then and also because of the Chinese gender calendar. It has been correct for my two kids (both boys) and I thought it couldn't hurt to try on a month that predicts girl.

However - I have lost weight with month, dropped big protein amount from my diet and down to my lowest adult weight - so wondering if I should try this month?

What's your thoughts? Thanks for help in advance xx

atomic sagebrush
August 9th, 2017, 03:08 PM
Anything longer than 12 weeks on diet has been very successful, 6-8 weeks also good but not quite as high as 12 weeks +. If you're losing gobs of weight then try sooner rather than later. Plus, with Clomid on your team, that makes up a lot of ground so if you did only have 6 weeks on diet then it would still do a lot of the heavy lifting.

The Chinese Calendar does not work. If it did, there would not be orphanages full of unwanted Chinese baby girls.

I am exactly the same. I gave up my sway in the 2ww, I didn't plan to I was just at the end of what I felt I could manage and I really put all my eggs in one basket hoping to be pregnant that first month :(

Now I don't know whether to take the clomid and try this month or skip a month (really don't want to do that) but I feel like we'll have a boy if I fall pregnant when I've been so bad with diet the last 2 weeks. I've started again back on pcos le so just need to see. My cycle hasn't actually started yet I've just been spotting.

I'm back from holiday and back to the every day feelings of gd, I just can't move past this. I'm just going to go ahead this month because I've been on this diet forever and I'm sick of eating the same things and worrying about what I'm eating.
I have had loads of cheats I had lots of pizzas and desserts when on holidays but I also has vegetarian fajitas and salads to I tried to do my best and being away with family that don't know about this diet or me ttc was hard. I did eat twice a day and had tones of Coke Zero hope this helped.
If you started the diet again you should ttc this month because it could be lucky for you.
We should start posting meal ideas again to help us stay on track. Good luck

Hey guys! Anyone doing the diets but not actually ttc yet?
I've been doing a mostly pcos diet, but not eating chicken or red meat. Lost about 10 lbs, which is significant for my 5'2" frame. Have had a few cheats here and there (pizza etc).
I have clomid in hand but dh is on the fence right now about ttc...a few months ago he was all for it. Waiting for him to come around (think he will, this has happened in the past). So in the meantime I'm still doing the diet (2-3 months now). Anyone else in the same boat? Feeling a bit anxious since I'm no spring chicken lol.

Doing the diet with (fingers crossed) hopes to do it in November or December. I was two weeks in but a family member from Houston and her two kids stayed with us and my diet went out the window with stress. So! I'm starting over and getting back to the gym. Any foods that you've regularly ate and enjoyed? I'm sticking to mostly a vegan diet.

Oh Jane I'm so happy for you! Good luck with your pregnancy!
How are you doing pink rose? When will you find out if you've got your bfp this month?

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkI've been eating the foods Atomic suggests in the pcos LE diet sticky thread, but not eating poultry or beef. For protein I've been eating small amounts of tuna, shrimp, or crab. Baked potato w veggies. Soup. Hummus and multigrain crackers or cucumbers, that sort of thing. I don't officially have pcos but I think I have tendencies, plus I did standard LE with DS4. I've stopped eating all sweets, although I did have frozen yogurt a few times this summer and I do eat a little fruit. I'm also drinking lots of coffee, which is really part of the LE diet, not pcos diet, but doing sort of a hybrid? I'm eating only multigrain carbs, except when I have rice, or when I cheated and had pizza. And my carb intake is low overall. I have lost a little over 10 lbs, possibly 15. I stopped taking prenatals a few months ago bc it sways blue, but just ordered folate. Oh, also not exercising, except for a walk once in a while. Hmm I think that's it?
I really feel like I want to ttc by Nov or Dec as well....hoping dh comes back around by then.

So dh said we can ttc in Nov. Question... he travels every weekend for his job. While using clomid, how can I make sure the timing works out??? :(

Sent from my SM-G900V using TapatalkIf you dtd every 4 days so that you bd just before he goes and when he returns i would think that you'd be covered, see if someone else can give you any advice. Good luck! [emoji5]

Hi ladies, this thread seems to be very quiet but I need some urgent advice.
Getting ready to start clomid in a couple days. My AF just started tonight but just spotting, will be full on tomorrow morning.
Do I start clomid on Fri? Sat? Tomorrow? I take it for 4 days right? And then wait 3 days to start opk after last pill?

I'm excited but nervous. Worried about overstimulation, cysts, side effects like my lining. Please some words to calm me lol? I'm in my late 30's and this is my last shot so pulling out all the stops.

I've done a really good sway, even lost 15 pounds to the point that my clothes are literally falling off me. I just hope I can conceive quickly, I only have 2.5 months worth. I normally conceive quickly but worried everything I've done will mess that up?

Where did you get the clomid? Did they not tell you what cycle days to take it?
Spotting doesn't count as the start of your cycle so cd1 is the first day of proper bleeding. Most people on here take clomid cd 3-7. (At night seems to be best to avoid most side effects) you take it for 5 days, not 4.
