You guys are so awesome to be on page #4 already!!!! Thanks for letting me be a part of it even though I am technically due early. :) Glad I got caught up again!

dancing - sorry you did not hear girl, but you have a wonderful attitude about it all and I can honestly say I love all of my boys so much! They are wonderful! Even after last night when the 2 youngest got into my laundry room (gated off) and spread about 5 lbs of baking soda ALL over the place!!! It was a huge mess, but also funny.

Welcome to all the new ladies!! So exciting! And I just can't wait to see the gender reveals soon. :D

Hi all! Well results aren't in yet and I'm kinda relieved!! I'm losing temptation to find out before birth and with results not being in and no clear nub shots I'm taking this as a sign I'm meant to stay team green 💚 here's a couple of pics my ob did to use in an announcement after nipt results in! I will ring Tuesday and inquire about the health results only😊https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170706/bf5086f75aab829639db78fc9f4ed6bb.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170706/b7277709628cae33fd43c48e42746b21.jpg

Pbn-Aww cute baby! Is that a hand waving in the 2nd pic...or maybe even thumb sucking!! Well the OB office def helped you make your decision! I'm so excited for you! [emoji172]Of course I want to know so bad, but team green is an awesome experience! It was rather humorous how others couldn't stand us not knowing, but then they're all extra excited with you on that special day!

Beautiful baby Pbn! I still remember your surprise BFP! I was so excited for you! I can't believe we are looking at the little bean already! congrats!!!

AFM I don't think I would be offered NIPT, but if I am I will definitely take it. All my last pregnancies I've done an elective ultrasound around 13 weeks to determine gender, but this time if I don't get NIPT I will probably just wait until the anatomy scan. I just want to enjoy this pregnancy as much as possible, and the uncertainty is an excitement like no other. :)

Thanks Lola and babypink! And Lola yes I reckon bub was waving 😀 during my scan on Tuesday bub had both hands fisted on either side of face and was again today so apparently likes them up there 😍😍😍

Babypink do you still get a nuchal scan between 12-14 weeks? Hope so and hope you get a clear nub shot we can study and guess from 😀 Speaking of which, what is next for you? Do you have any appts coming up?

Those are really cute looking babies. What are your thoughts on the name Adelynn for a girl and Dawson for a boy? My hubby and I both kind of like these the best out of the list we have. It always takes us forever to pick a name because we think this has to be something that we want to say for the rest of our lives.

Pbn3
July 6th, 2017, 01:31 AM
Momoffourboyz I love the name Adelynn!! It's practically the same as a girl in my son's prep class which I love 'Adaline' so sounds like 'line' instead of 'lyn' I'm very partial to both 😍 I like Dawson too but it makes me think of Dawsons Creek 😂 not that it matters of course!

Pbn. Cute baby though you didn't find nub shot. It's quite difficult to be in green team. I hope I ll get scan the same day of my appt. I am planning to apply for bed rest leave from work because it's hectic routine which is not letting me to enjoy this pregnancy. I am afraid doctor would make a bed rest certificate for me.

July 6th, 2017, 06:05 AM
4blue2pink with ds1 I had to know 'stat' lol and the sonographer actually gave me a 80 or 90% boy guess at his nuchal scan when I was only 11w6d I think so he must've been an obvious boy nub! Ds2 I didn't want to know at all. After telling the ultrasound tech we absolutely didn't want to know at our 20w scan she had me look away when she went 'downstairs' then said 'it's ok because his legs are crossed anyway'. A very long awkard silence followed with me looking at hubby like 'no she just didn't!' We never confirmed but there was certainly no surprise when he was born 😂😂 I'm going to think of a way I can nicely ask the u/s tech not to talk this time 😂

Hi pbn

Alive for the most part. On and off with abit of depression. Im trying to launch a not for profit side business to keep myself even more busy 😂

As per a few days ago DH gave the green light for this cycle but we will see (hes likely to back out 😫). Im trying to work out a BD schedule as that's where I think our greatest strength will be as I reflect over past ttc journeys.

I feel at peace for this last one and I know in my heart this is it and I am ready to accept what may be and go forward.

So we shall see what this month holds.

I am so freaking happy and excited for you!!! Your boys must be so excited.

Those are beautiful names for twin girls and they do go very well together. I agree that Dawson reminds me to of Dawson's creek but I actually use to watch that show all the time when I was younger. Also I am running out of boy names I can use because there are so many in use in our families.

pbn thats so bad of the sonographer!! if you say you dont want to know they should refer to baby as "baby" not he/she.. im sorry she kind of wrecked it for you :( fingers crossed this time they dont use any gender references

haha 37 weeks was my only scan for that pregnancy and i wasnt too fussed by that time, so when the sonographer asked if i wanted to know i just said i was happy either way but i did say if its not a clear shot where your certain then dont bother guessing.. but she got a very clear view :)

Good to see you again Sky! It took me a while to get caught up.

You all have wonderful names and it is crazy you have lists already. We have not even started. Like at all!
We already have a Steven, Samuel (Sammy), William (Will), Alexander (Alex) and we names the 2 girls we lost last pg Theresa and Joy. For a girl we have had the same names for quite some time. If by chance this is a girl (and I seriously doubt it) - We had Nicole Jackie-Lynn. They are all family names. We have ZERO boy names. UGH.

LOL...Pbn3 - that is ok. I did not truly find out gender. When I was at my anatomy scan we looked away and did not find out gender. The place I went to apparently takes a pic of gender. When I got up off the table I saw on the screen a potty shot and I am 99.9% sure it is another boy. There really is no mistaking that potty shot when you have seen it as much as I have. So, it was not confirmed, and DH has no idea I know what we are having, it has been a rough couple of weeks.

Well, I know it was a small pic and just a glance, but it looked exactly like the one I have printed for DS4. So even though there is a small small chance I am wrong, I really don't believe it. The main thing that sucks is how different this pg has been to all the others. I am even carrying different. Oh well. This is def our last one.

Shan I think pbn has solved the problem. I mean if your already grieving maybe you can just book it to be certain. Or would you feel to bad not telling dh? [emoji53] I'd already probably spilled the beans that I had saw the scan pic. Maybe he will want to stay team green and you can do it alone if he'll understand you need this for you.

Hi Sky! I am good. And totally not surprised or shocked. I really felt in my heart I was meant to be a mom of boys.

With that said, I did wake up today a little extra emotional and have been battling it all day. Mostly I'm dreading telling the people who I know will make the comments. I feel so protective of my little dudes like why do people think they aren't enough!?! So that's where my grief is right now. I hate that I care what people think and say.

Dreaming your an amazing person and you are so optimistic! Just don't tell the ones who won't be excited for you or who want to rub it in your face "I told ya so" I was trying to decide how to tell my family and since we do dinner every Sunday I was going to do a cake. Hubbys parents are watching the kids while we go on Saturday then we're going to do a little reveal with them and his sisters and our boys since one of our boys will be leaving for Florida with his grandparents the next day. So my cake lady is on vacation that weekend so that fell through and hubby says "why don't you just video the one with my parents and send it to your family since your not looking forward to telling them anyhow" so maybe you can just do something with the people closest to you if that's hubs and boys so be it. And let everyone else find out themselves at least if you send a pic or recording you can ignore the face to face comments.

Dreaming-you hit the nail on the head! It frustrates me so much that I care what others think! You are going to have 3 precious little guys -human beings- and no one should make you feel inadequate!!! My OB told me that he is the 3rd boy in his family. He obviously has done great things in his life bringing babies into the world!
On another note, my coworker has decided to name one of her twins Savannah-she is due this year. Well that was my back-up favorite name if we decided not to follow through with stealing Sophia back from DH's brother. I know it's not that big of a deal, she's so sweet and we don't hang out outside of work, but I could hear my coworkers being annoying about us both having "Savannah's."

Ash I think that's what we're going to do too. Pretty much everyone who already knows are closest to us and I told them all already that we're having a boy. They're all thrilled and not a single comment. So just letting everyone else find out on their own is probably the best way.

I still think it was fun to try to sway and know I gave it my best shot. I think I would feel differently if I hadn't tried.

Lola - the name thing is so tough sometimes. Just do what you want. That's really all that matters in the end.

Truly grateful for you guys!

I would just not tell them what you are having until you have the baby. That way it postpones the comments and when the baby is in their arms they wont be able to say anything negative about that beatiful little boy andf if they do that will show their true character. And also once you see that baby it wont matter anymore that its a boy you will be so in love with that little blessing that fought hard to get here. In the mean time go out and look at cute boy clothes and start picturing him in it and buy some new ones and it will start to get you excited about his arrival.

Ash & dreaming-you both have a great attitude!
Dreaming-how wonderful that you haven't had any negative comments! That's absolutely the way it should be!
Ash-love your cake reveal plan & great idea to send the video to your family so you won't hear their comments!
Unfortunately, the ones I'm closest to (my family), are the ones that I'm afraid to tell the most. I've already been told by one family member that they would laugh at me if I had 3 boys and not because they wouldn't love him, but they'd think "poor thing, prissy with 3 wild boys-hands full." If I hear boy, I almost feel the need to say "ok, go ahead & make your jokes-what's the best you've got for me???" My family likes to poke fun at one another out of love I suppose. I'm not the only one that gets the comments. My brother used to always say "I do not want a red-headed baby." No clue why he would even say that-I think it's gorgeous. Sure enough, he had a red-headed baby, even her eyebrows and she's beautiful, looks just like Pebbles (Flintstones), but we all laugh about how he was so anti-red hair ;)
Check out my sweet boys today. They are my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Lola I don't think the video will delay any comments but I'm also thinking of skipping Sunday dinner that week [emoji23] delay them a bit and give me time to gather my thoughts. I'll get rude comments weather it's a boy or girl! I've already had one saying a girl wouldn't fit in and many more saying they bet it's a boy so I'll be in a lose lose situation. They also think they're all doing it out of love but I don't like it at all! Love the pic ❤️ it's always so crazy to me to see siblings with different colored hair I love it! I have no idea why maybe because mine are all blondies like their dad and his family and my hair is dark as night and so is my parents and brothers.

Shann - I agree with Pbn and others. And what Dreaming said. I bet they would already know and can tell you over the ph. Hugs.
Dreaming - I second what Lolla said. You just said something we all have been going through. I also care so much about what people say. In our families people actual show their pity if you get a girl let alone two. How bitchy is that?I don't want anyone to know. I don't want them to have that place in my life. Don't tell those who
Don't matter. Only the ones who can be happy for you.
Lolla - I missed you all too. It was fun but tiring. I am so glad to be bk home. Dd loved every minute of it. ❤️when is your next appointment?
I love the picture of the boys. They are the cutest.
Ash - Love your idea. Would you know on 11th? Or 22nd?
So, we told the friends that we went to vacation with and they were really happy for us.
Dh told his family last night over the ph and they were very Happy but the second sentence was about when we find out the gender and how they hope it's a boy. My heart just broke. They meant well but each one of them
Said the same thing. [emoji24] I really want to cry. I m so close to them and they know how badly I want to add a boy
To our family but why the added hopes and pressure? I haven't told my family yet but I have no excitement to tell them either. I know this is what we all want but hearing them
Say it out loud just crushed me. Dh tried to say something but didn't help. They are far too hopeful. I have to
tell my family today and I
Am not looking forward to that though I know they won't say nothing like this. I told mil that I don't want to
Find out. If dh does then they all
Need to keep
It to themselves.

Sure! I had my nuchal scan and my dates were 11w6d but bub is measuring 12w4d (so excellant growth as bub is definately not that gestation 😂) through out the scan I seen what looked like both boy and girl nubs but bub was flipping and flopping around so much was hard to tell which from which 😂 I wasn't planning on looking but its impossible not to see. Thankfully I'm still none the wiser and after a terrible 36 hours of indecision about finding out my nipt results weren't in anyway. So my mind is now fully committed again to staying green 💚 my nuchal scan results were great and have me in low risk for t21, 18 and 13. Just waiting on nipt to confirm all ok with those and some other syndromes they test for :) Then I can finally tell me boys and announce! Oh and here's a couple pics my ob printed off for me 😀https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170707/4bc3b1cee2dd3c9d9ea29a71aea66a03.jpg

Awww. That's music to my ears. I m soooooo Happy Pbn. Such a cute baby. This is amazing. Keep us posted whenever you get the nipt result. So relieved all other tests came back with good results. So many prayers are with this little miracle. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

My next appointment is next Friday with nurse practitioner. They told me that she will do another u/s. And then I will see the OB in 4 weeks. They didnt book the OB appointment because the lady who was booking the appointment said the np will do another u/s and if all is ok then they will book the next appointment. I was actually scared why would she say that? Are they expecting anything to go wrong? I am not overthinking because that's not going to help me in anyway. Will see what happens next Friday which is July 14th.
I also have my test results coming in which are all ok so far. The only thing is that it keeps giving me a warning box that some tests may reveal the gender and if I don't want to know that then I should call for results not check online. None of the tests showed the gender so far and the from now on dh will check the results. [emoji4]he offered since I don't want to know.

Sky-so exciting you have an appt next Friday!!! Mine is July 18th for genetics, but I don't think I'll have another U/S until Aug 4th, which seems so far away!!! I'm sorry about the comments. I'm feeling the same way so I can relate! That's all everyone seems to care about! It's either "I hope it's a girl" or "you're definitely having another boy" or just that I'm crazy for having a 3rd. I always say "yep, we're crazy & I love it!" I'm glad all of your tests are looking good! Maybe that gender disclaimer is on all of them, isn't it too early for those tests to know gender? My tests all came back normal, but my iron was low...not surprising since I was very anemic last pregnancy. That is not the best way for the booking lady to discuss making your next appt-maybe they just want the np to make the recommendation for when the next appt should be. My OB always wants to see me every 4 weeks in the beginning, but then in the past he recommended sooner based on my visit when I had high blood pressure and when I had placenta previa etc. I def wouldn't overthink it like you said! Everything is going to be great [emoji173] Wow, there's a few team greens In here now! [emoji172]I can't do it this time. The external factors are really getting to me...such as fam/co-workers using my favorite names plus I'm still on summer break, so I'd LOVE to do some girl nursery/clothes shopping while I have the time off if things go my way [emoji175]Or I could just shop for girl stuff anyway (Ashhh! 🤣) Ash, I hope & pray you get to keep all of your girl stuff! And I hope you have a dd with beautiful dark hair like yours with those gorgeous eyes like your boys!!

She asked us so many times if we are joking? ❤️❤️❤️

Pbn3 - Loving seeing all the pictures of your growing baby, and hearing all the details:bigsmile:This is our last and final night here in such an effortlessly beautiful place. It’s been so amazing! I do miss my own house and my own bed. I can’t wait to get home tomorrow even though it means getting back to reality:bigsmile:

On another note I have a question for whoever would love to chime in, but I've been on the hunt for an ObGyn. I found 2 who really sound incredible, but I'm torn. Number 1 is an amazing doctor! He’s one of the most recommended. I think its mostly because he's been around a while longer. The only down fall is people say "He's well worth the wait.” Even when you have an appointment time you will find yourself waiting at least 30 minutes more till he comes into your room. I also believe I heard he is not always at your delivery, and sometimes it's a midwife. Number 2 is also a great doctor. He isn't very popular, but he hasn't been around as long as number 1. He does have amazing reviews, just not as many as doctor 1. I think this is only because he’s new. He does deliver all his babies though. I think I'm torn because number 1 is so popular, but I don't like the fact that he doesn't attend all his births, and there is a wait even with your appointment times. Number 2 sounds pretty perfect, but his newness (not to his field, but the community) makes me a little hesitant:nails:

Great to hear from you nacire! Personally I'd be going with number 2, the one that will be there for your delivery. Especially seeing as he has just as good as reviews as the 'known' one. The thing is you could set up an appt and if he doesn't seem 'right' to you then try and see the first one? I just know I'd be pretty peeved if I seen an obgyn for all my appt's but then not have them be present for the birth when they may be really needed.

Sky if it was something to worry about they would be doing follow up tests. The term blood count seems vague? Does it say anything else?

Srg I cant wait until you confirm gender to put these dreams to rest. I honestly dont believe at all that our dreams predict anything, I think its more what issues/impressions we have floating around in our subconscious. Hence some people have nightmares after watching a particular movie, it obviously left an impression on the mind. Or after watching TWD (the walking dead) I've had a very, very nice dream about Daryl Dixon that was cut far too short by my waking up 😭😭😭 (I'm still not over it) How long until your 20 week scan?

Pbn- I totally agree about dreams. DH and I have been talking girl names and I'm mostly okay. Then I held my 7 month old nephew last night and I think that set off my dreams. My scan will be early August sometime.

Had a lot to catch up on! It makes me sad to hear all these comments, I'm trying to prepare myself as well ☹️ I just wish we could ALL get our desired gender!! It makes me not want to find out though or find out and not tell people (except y'all) but I just hate to lie and say we don't know.

Lola - you will be naming your girl Sophia after that engagement story, Sophia is your name!! Also, don't kill me but will you put the link up again for the Doppler? I'm thinking of buying it. Have you been able to use it yet?

Oh, I am so sorry you all are getting the comment too! I get them ALL the time. People just can't believe I have 4 boys. Yes, I do. And I love them all!!!! And they are all so different.
I won't be calling the midwife or getting confirmation. Even when I had it staring me in the face last time, I had my doubts. So I will always doubt until this baby is born. I will just plan for a boy and that will be it. I have told my Mom and DH (and anyone else that asks) that I am sure this one is another boy. My Mom is the sweetest and confirms that no matter what, she is just so happy that we have a healthy little one. She has a gut feeling that this one is a boy as well and she is usually right. :)
With everything I went through just to get to this point, I know this little boy has fought hard to be with us. Now I think that I might have a mild case of intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP). This one is definitly keeping me on my toes. But if that is the case, I will have to be induced early. I am not sure how I feel about that. So I just take one day at a time.

Nacire-I would also go with ob#2. He sounds just as awesome & also will give you the attention you need! I realllly like having my OB there for all of my births. If he also has excellent reviews, I wouldn't hesitate to go with him & like others have said...see how your 1st appt goes with him!
Shann-Your mom sounds wonderful & I'm glad you have her for support! Was DH hoping for a girl or does it matter to him? My DH always said that he wanted our #3 to be a girl, but just recently he said "I wouldn't mind another boy, I love my boys." That made me feel better [emoji170]
Srg-I was freaking out b/c I had a dream I was having a girl & thought the same about dreaming opposite. XX reassured me that she dreamed she was having a girl several times & she is in fact having a girl! Well, just had another dream....this time dreaming I was having sextuplets-all boys! So I've had a dream both ways now & believe pbn is so right! Dreams are just your subconscious processing thoughts, fears, what we've seen throughout the day etc. I actually had a dream last night that all of us were in a room together partying...strange b/c I don't know what most of you look like, but I do remember seeing Ash's beautiful hair!
Kat-thanks for that! I do feel that Sophia is the name & I will be settling if we don't use it. Here's the one catch. DH's mom said that she felt like DH's brother & wife didn't seem as excited as they should be about their first arriving so soon and she worries something is wrong & they just aren't saying anything. DH & I believe that his mom is just worrying for no reason, but who knows....maybe she has some time of momma's intuition! I hope & pray there is no reason for her concern! I do think it would be unkind of us to use the name if their baby does has some type of issue(I believe baby is healthy). They are due very soon, so I will just keep them in my prayers & see how life plays out!
I tried the Doppler out, but so far I can only hear my heartbeat. I know it's early and there could be factors like location of the placenta that could be making it harder to hear. I can't wait for it to work though!!!!
Here's the link:

It comes in pink or blue & arrived quickly!

Lola - that is crazy that your MIL is worried. They could just be scared about bringing the new baby home. I know we all go through that. Even us old timers. It is a change no matter what. Praying that everything is fine with their little one.
DH was really hoping for a girl for me. I don't think he really cares one way or the other. But he has been so supportive of me and all my crazy ideas. He is awesome.

Naci - I agree and I would go with Dr #2 and see how you fell with him.

Srg - sorry you are having crazy dreams. I never dream of the baby so I can't help, but I agree that it does not mean anything. HUGS

Sky - glad you are back and that DD is so happy for a little sibling! It helps to remind you of the important things in life and that you def made the right decision to have another one. :)

Shann-thanks, I think you're exactly right! DH's brother & wife are prob just tired & overwhelmed at the thought of bringing home their first baby. His brother is not very talkative/expressive to begin with, so that may be part of it, but I really can't imagine there being something wrong & them not telling anyone. I pray that we will find out soon that all is well!
That is so wonderful for you to have DH's support through all of this!! Sounds like he's happy if you're happy!! [emoji173]

lol Lola that dream is funny that you remember my hair [emoji38]. I also don't think much into dreams I've had a dream we're having boy and a dream it's a girl and I don't remember dreaming anything gender with my other 4 I think it's just the pressure we're putting on ourselves.
NACIRE I'd go with #2 also the more attention the dr can give you the better in my opinion. You don't want to have to wait forever if your having a scare.
Shan I agree you mom is the best ❤️ we should all have someone special and supporting in our lives. My parents also know I swayed and they're the only ones I've told. They haven't made any comments I think they're honestly scared to [emoji1325] [emoji12]
Lola I think your conworker going with savannah is a sign you need to stick with Sophia! You'll see your co worker much more than your family member.
Sky Dd sounds wonderful if we could just all funnel ourselves to the ones closest and most excited we'd be in good shape.

Hello all,
I am trying to catch up. Welcome to all newbies.

So speaking of team green. This is my first time at it. Given my bout of depression at the BFP i am wondering if it is good for me to stay team green or not ? To elaborate; if i stay team green and hear girl (my 4th) at delivery i am afraid i will not want to hold her or look at her. I have heard of postpartum depression and how bad it can get. I wonder if i will be vunruable to it this time bcoz of just not being overall happy with this pregnancy and all. If i find out early would that give me time to adjust and get over it before baby comes i wonder.

What do u guys think ?

If you are having a hard time with bile and throwing up try eating a lot of beans and protein. Beans bind to bile so it is supposed to help minimize this build up and acid reflux and what not. It may take few days though. I started eating beans a bout 4 or 5 days ago and I haven't thrown up once since. Also if you start feeling nauseated eat a peppermint or spearmint candy it helps to soothe the stomach.

Bluebooties- I can totally understand what you mean. I keep wondering myself if not knowing is a good idea or it can backfire? I know dh will find out and he is going to tell others. So i might get a hint but we will see. It's our second and last baby so It will be hard to accept if I won't hear a boy. But I think we are stronger than we think and we will be fine. Sad but fine and thankful for the little miracle in our arms.
The reason I don't want to find out is that it's worse to know when u don't have the baby in front of you. It could just be me. Because some people think that it gives you time to
Prepare yourself. All I know is that I will be better not finding out. Not much help. Sorry.

Maybe i can do what i did last time. Have them hid the sex on a paper in an envelope and then read it at home whenever i am ready and if i am not ready then i won't read it at all.

In my experiences I always wanted to know because it always was at the back of my mind because my husband's family were very adamant that it had to be a girl this time. So I had to prepare myself for the disappointment of others around me and the comments I would hear. As a matter of fact they would make it my fault because they said I just couldn't carry a girl because I had had 3 miscarriages already. But i also never told them the sex until baby was born i just prepared myself because of this specific reason. At this point my husband even blamed me that I couldn't have a girl and actually he was upset about it. For our 3rd and 4th boy he cried he wanted a girl so bad. Our 5th child I told him this is her he just kept telling me I'll believe it when I see it but he never let go of I couldn't have a girl until she was here. But before our 5th child i prayed and prayed and cried and cried but it wasnt necessarily because i didnt have a girl it was because I felt like an invalid person because of how they treated me about the whole situation. So i believe that my daughter was really because God heard my prayers and felt the tears of pain i had because of all of this. Anyway, ever since they found out that I am pregnant again all that is said yet once again is this better be a girl. Sorry that you all have to go through all these comments because honestly for me the comments are what caused my gender depression. I was perfectly fine with all my wonderful boys. I mean sure I wanted a daughter but I loved my boys and I wanted to be happy and celebrate them like they should be but because of those comments it ruined that for me because the comments made me depressed. I don't care what others think, every life is such a miracle whether boy or girl and they should be treated that way. Sorry for rambling just thought maybe it would help someone else out.

Bluebooties I agree with sky sometimes we are stronger than we think and surprise ourselves with how we deal. But in saying that you also need to know when to accept you may need some help in dealing. When is your next ob appt? I would discuss with him/her about finding out gender after your 20w scan (agree with you very much about having it written down and opening when you're ready) and that you may descend into depression upon seeing it. Especially if you have had depression before, you'll be way more susceptible with all the hormonal changes going on in your body. Better to be prepared (both yourself and your ob) so if you do find yourself heading into depression he/she can have a plan (and script) ready for if required. I do honestly think that its better tackled now than at birth. There are far, far more hormone shifts going on at birth without adding gd right on top of it. Let us know what you decide and the important thing is to keep talking, whether with someone you trust IRL, your ob and of course us here. Don't turn inwards xxoo

Blue & Kat-It's really hard to say what is best for you. I was team green with DS2 & there was absolutely no way I could feel disappointed when I was holding this beautiful, perfect baby boy in my arms! It was love at first sight & I truly never looked back! He is a momma's boy too! This time around, knowing it's my last baby...I feel very strongly about the need to find out what direction my life is going to take sooner than later!!! I don't know how much longer I can take the gender comments/guesses. I'm so impatient this time around & the sooner I know, the sooner I can move forward...either accepting the finality of being a boy mom or preparing for a little princess. I think I will go bonkers if I spend my whole pregnancy hoping for a girl. Just my thoughts, but each person is different and may handle coming to terms with it differently. I really wish we could all get our desired genders! I always thought I'd have a girl, then a boy.

Ok catch up time!

Lola I agree with Kat that you absolutely have use your name Sophia, your and dh's story demands it! Oh and sweet is your dh 😀 Lol about your dream and Ash's beautiful hair 😂 Ash give us all hair envy!! Also hope everything is ok with your BIL's first child. Everyone reacts and deals with things differently. I cant imagine them not reaching out if something was wrong.

Shann can you give a brief explanation as to what ICP is? Hope its nothing serious ❤
Your mum sounds amazing! Mine has barely acknowledged this pregnancy and I wish I didn't have to tell her three weeks ago (I cant lie to her 😣 and she asked point blank if we were done with 'the baby thing') I don't know if she disapproves because of my age or my mc history but she never even asked how my scan went after I asked about how her husbands follow up appt went (they were on the same day which I have no doubt she remembered or maybe she didn't bother remembering) I refuse to anything more about it to her unless she asks first as its to upsetting. She has always been my go to person for anything so feeling a little alone in that area....

Mumoffourmonkeys (MOFM) hi and welcome 😀 will add you to our ddg info on page 1 as soon as I've posted this! Sorry you didn't hear girl but happy your baby boy os healthy xxoo and thank you for your team green input. I didhave gender done in the nipt but have no intention of asking :) I was so strongly team green before my nuchal scan then went crazy for a day or so wondering if I should find out but happy to report I'm fully back on team green with no intention to leave again :)

Sky I am absolutely exhausted by the evening and have little energy for cooking. Sometimes I prepare something during the day so it just needs cooking off, or putting in the oven etc but mostly I look for super easy things to cook 😆 like Ash I've gone off meat and haven't had it for about 1.5 weeks now...
Glad your ob is on the ball and let us know how the tests go ❤

Kat if your gender desire is strong enough to make you question whether you'll be sad atbthe birth then I'd lean towards finding out. I wouldn't rely on the 'seeing baby and all your sadness will be gone' theory as everyone is different and processes things differently. It really is a tricky situation finding out vs discovering at birth and I don't envy you or anyone making that decision. Trust in yourself that whatever you do will be the right decision for you xxoo

Mumoffourboyz I'm so sorry for those horrible comments and attitudes you had to deal with especially from your own family 😠 especially with a history of losses!! It is beyond inappropriate of them to make ANY comment other then their relief that bub is doing well. Thsi just makes me want to cry, especially your comment about loving and celebrating your boys as they deserve but those stupid comments ruining it for you. SMH at those people.

What do u guys think ?

there are pro's and cons to both ways as im sure you know and i think only you can make the decision that is right for you, i wish it was simpler :( and im so sorry you are feeling all this.
just a suggestion here for if you do stay team green :) you could request that no-one announce the gender at birth, you have them put baby on you as they do and you have as much time as you need holding baby, falling in love and just taking it all in and then you look when you are ready without pressure from anyone else.
i hope that you are able to come to a decision that feels right for you and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy xx

Hi & welcome mum of four monkeys! Sorry you had mixed gender messages with the nipt results, but glad your little guy is healthy. I'm doing the materniT21 test for the first time July 18th and don't know what to expect. What type of mixed messages did you get?
Pbn-thank you, I do think that all is fine with BIL's baby, but DH did talk to him on the phone today & asked how everything is going. He said fine, but didn't elaborate much. He asked if they had done any U/S pics b/c he'd love to see. He said his bro just kind of laughed & said they did. He said he was going to e-mail, but don't think DH has received anything yet. We may just be reading into it too much after what his mom said, but the laughing response is a little curious hmm...
Blue-I think it's a great idea to have your gender written down on a paper in an envelope to open when you're ready! I am wondering how I'll hear the gender results from my blood work. I'd like to be able to read it at home by myself. I'm not going to lie, I will be so disappointed if I hear boy & nothing has seemed to prepare me for this moment. I would get over it, but I know I'd cry at first and hate feeling that way about a little person that I made!!!

Momoffourboys that's horrible that dh and family would put that kind of pressure on you. It is absolutely not your fault!
Blue I don't have anything for the ms just more natural things that I've also been neglecting. My dr isn't keen on extra meds so more than likely they'd say since I'm not vomiting up all my food and I've gained a couple lbs I'm good. And I'm ok with it I guess

Mumoffour i have had comments like urs too about not being able to carry a boy but very thankfully my DH has always been on my side and very supportive of me. And i think this is what has helped me bear with all the nasty comments. I have only told 2 coworkers and so far so good. Havent had courage to tell MIL ( she is the worse with comments) my mum has always been neutral. She wishes i get a boy but also will be ok if its a girl.

Yeah MIL is the one that was treating me that way then everyone else just joined in including my husband. She has also accused me of being bulimic and anerexic because I am not fat nor have I ever been. She has made so many rude comments and the sad part is I just have to take it because my husband does nothing. He's says she didn't mean it to be mean and I just shouldn't get offended. But how do you not get offended when someone belittles you like that?

Srg - I don't believe much in gender dreams but in my experience it was true. I always dreamed DD was a boy (and really vivid dreams that made me absolutely sure) never dreamed she was a girl. However my mum said she only dreamed that DD was a girl and never a boy.
This pregnancy I've only had one dream and this baby was a girl at the 20 week ultrasound even though we're actually team green. So maybe it means the opposite for me like last time. In saying that my mum had a dream when I was about 8-9 weeks pregnant that I was having a boy this pregnancy and told my atepdad I was having a boy and she was right last time but who knows!!

MOFM - I got so sad when I read what all you went through with the family and even dh joining in. Just broke my heart. ❤️❤️❤️❤️to you. You are giving birth and that's the biggest joy n miracle. I would really love to give your mil a piece of my mind [emoji849][emoji849][emoji849].
You are such a strong person. Hugs and a lot of respect for you.
Ash - I am sorry you aren't feeling good. Hope it gets better soon and also it may be a sign for a girl in there. ❤️❤️
I havebn feeling blah today. No throwing up but everything tastes bitter. [emoji51][emoji51]
Blue - I really like the idea of writing on the paper and then opening it when you feel ready and with no one around. You can msg here and we will be right here for you. I promise. ❤️❤️
And I also love the idea of holding the baby without anyone telling u the gender but I think that will be tricky to ask given the excitement.
Lolla- It's all each of us is thinking right now and no one can understand us better than each other. I really hope u hear a girl. Either way we are all here for each other and will be thankful for a healthy baby. I guess everyone is going to be sad if hear opposite and then mad for being sad and then ok with the whole thing. ❤️🤞🤞

Momoffourboyz-gosh, I'm sorry you're treated that way by MIL. That's absolutely ridiculous & I'm so sorry that DH does nothing about it ugh! Maybe she's the jealous type?! Sky is so right, you are growing the biggest miracle inside of you...it's meant to be a happy time & she treats you this way?? Smh [emoji20]
Sky-I'm so glad we have each other here! You are spot on...sad to hear opposite, then mad for being sad I guess there's no sense in me getting all worked up until I know gender, but so many emotions getting to that point & I know you can relate.
Kat-You are so sweet ...and funny! Thank you, hope we all hear what we want in a few weeks eeeeek!!! I think that's a great idea to tell when you're ready. Others don't even have to know when you're supposed to find out. Unfortunately, I've told family when my next appt is, but I said I didn't know how long it would take to get results back...so that gives me a little time to keep it to myself if I wanted.

Sometimes I feel guilty for wanting this so bad when I know there are others going through tough times in life. I feel very blessed with all I do have, 2 healthy, wonderful boys & a lot to be thankful for. I can't help, but wonder why some get their desired genders so easily though...maybe they don't put a lot of thought into it & obsess the way I do?? Maybe they're just happy either way & it just works out that way for them & have the perfect pair (as they say). Here's what I don't get...on my mom's side...my grandmother was 1 of 2 girls, my grandmother had 2 girls, my aunt had 2 girls, my mom had a girl (me) & boy, one cousin had 1 girl, one cousin had 2 boys & 2 girls, my brother had 1 girl, then ME (2 boys)...where's my girl?? lol. Is it all DH's fault??lol. He is one of 4 kids (boy, boy, girl, boy).

Ash - unfortunately just taking the unisom/b6 combo at night doesn't help me in the late afternoon the next day. So I take it around the clock, only 15mg unisom is in 1 diclegis pill though. I actually set my alarm for 3 am and take a pill. Then I take 1 at 10am, 4pm and 8pm. To be most effective you are suppose to take when you haven't eaten for an hour so I feel like I'm constantly watching the clock to schedule food/meds, but honestly I feel like that's how the first year with a baby is (feeding all the time) so might as well get use to it. Anyways, that schedule has made 180 difference for me so I'll stay on it until I feel I can ween down. It does make me drowsy, hello unison all day long, but I couldn't function with how bad the nausea was. I can function tired, again hello all next year with a baby [emoji23] Hope that helps anyone interested. And it's class A drug so I feel safe and I took it last pregnancy with no complications.

Hiya Lola belle, and thank you. X
Ok so we did the verify test and the sonographer scanned me first saying she would bet money on it that I was having a girl! Then the blood results came back a week later saying I was in fact, having a boy when I queried this with them they said it was not 100% and could still be wrong and only confirmed at my anomaly scan (20 weeks scan) to be honest hubby and I were only really concerned if baby was a carrier for cystic fibrosis and some other disorders, if it wasn't for hubby caving in and asking me to find out the gender I wouldn't as it caused me more trouble than worth x

Good luck with yours I don't want you to be put off if you do intend to find out the gender. Wishing you a healthy baby and pregnancy x

Okay I'm taking the plunge and joining. I was actually one of the first members in this group, but we found out in May it was a blighted ovum so I had a D&C.
This was my first proper cycle post surgery and I was on clomid again.
I have two boys aged 6 & 4 and we swayed pink. My sway wasn't that great as I let go a bit after our loss. Either way, I'm glad to be pregnant again and we plan on having 4 so if it's blue, I can be more focused next time.
I'm due March 18 and I'm 4 weeks today. Test lines are getting darker each day and I'm feeling crappy already.

Or will you wait until the 20 week scan now? Also just to check what's the go in different countries but here in Aus we're given a cd of our 12w scan. Do they not do that where you are Sumbal? Do the images get sent straight to your ob? I imagine you'll have an appt soomn to discuss your latest scan and maybe you can get a pic of bub then? Doesn't have to be a nub shot or anything, just one that shows a baby and not a blob :)

In US it depends on place to place each clinic is different. I got a dating scan with my dd3 with only a few pics printed right off the machine and now with this pregnancy didnt even get that offered. For my 20 w i got pictures of potty shot and a CD with the rest of the images.

Pbn I've never gotten a cd of my scans with my regular ob I only get them to an elective scan. I wished they did it for us I'd have some awesome nubs to decipher next week if so. Mine only does dating and 20week and the last couple babies one more towards the end to get an idea on weight

Iwant4-I'm so happy you're back [emoji322]So excited for you!!!! DS2 was born March 11th, March babies are pretty awesome, but I'm not biased or anything [emoji12] Maybe you'll get a 2 for 1 deal? Any chance there could be twins?? Lol, think I'm obsessed with wanting someone to have twins here to live vicariously through 🤣
Pbn-I won't get a cd of pics until my 20 week U/S, just a few print outs at my 12 week. Awesome that you get a cd!!
Ash-can't wait until your appt in a few days....so hoping you get a good nub shot!
Kat-that look delish & with ice cream...sounds heavenly!

Mum of four monkeys-wow the sonographer shouldn't have guessed unless she was really confident...that really plays with your emotion thinking girl from that guess, then hearing boy a week later! I do plan on finding out as soon as possible! I'll have my results before my 12 week scan so luckily I won't have any guesses before then!

Thanks for the welcome messages and for adding me to the front page :)
I had HCG tested today and will get results tomorrow FX
Lola - My hubby has twins on his Mum's side (his uncles), but I don't think there's a genetic link?
My tests are no darker than with my boys, so I think it's just one. Plus I'm not feeling that unwell or anything. FX though!!

Had an older lady friend at church run my belly this am and say "ahhh there's my girl" [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24] I can't deal with these emotions lol I'm crying my eyes out every time I think about what we could be having. I feel so bad for the ultrasound tech I get for the gender scan. I'm so afraid if she says boy I'm going to make myself feel like an ass in front of her

NACIRE what a great long vacation I'm sure it was so relaxing!
I've found another ultrasound facility that guarantees the correct sex or your money back at 14 weeks and it is in my husbands work territory so fingers crossed he will be willing to travel this weekend a couple hours away on Saturday 🤞

Thanks Pbn3!! I’m very excited for my upcoming appointment.. I will be making a 12 week scan, but I’m also doing the early blood work and should find out gender that way. My doctor will do an ultrasound every appointment which will be nice to see baby grow. I’m 6 weeks :)

I know how u feel Ash. I felt that same way for dd3 and the night i read her gender i literally woke up in terror with the thought of "thats it, i am never getting a boy again".
In my wildest dreams at that time i would not have considered going for a 4th but here I am !

Ash - What are the chances of finding out the gender at Nuchal? And if any then in how long? I really have everything crossed that you hear girl. Will be counting down days for your tests. ❤️❤️
Pbn - You are expecting your results on Tuesday. Is that right? Is it from the nipt? Sorry I missed out on a lot.
I have an appointment this Friday. They said they will be doing an u/s again. Don't know why. And will
Be talking about genetic screening.

Sky yes tomorrow! I've set a reminder in my phone to ring 😂 might even ring today as I'm wondering if I should be taking iron supplements while I'm not eating meat. I *think* my fingernails are looking a little pale and I've read that can mean an iron deficiency?

Did you ask why they want to do another u/s? I think at this early gestation things are so small and even a millimeter is massive measurement wise so they could just be double checking numbers :)

Remember I told you the lady who was booking my appointment with NP didn't book my next appointment with OB because she said the Np will do another u/s at 10 weeks which is coming Friday and if all goes well, she will book my next OB appointment. That's why I came home freaked out and mad at such stupid comment to
Someone who is already so emotional.
I know I am 35 and being pregnant comes with its own risk, the last thing I need is a reminder from the people who are supposed to be helping.
I get all worked up when I think about her comment but just praying for things to be ok because there isn't anything I could do atm anyway.
I m still feeling run down and have horrible taste in my mouth so I think all is ok and praying that it is.
My OB sent me a msg that all my prenatal scans are looking good. So I am just holding on to that.

Sky I've never gotten a good nub shot at my nt scans and the last time I asked they just simply said " it's to early" so I'm not looking for them to cooperate with my craziness and I'm not that good at nub guessing. I think the only thing I could see for sure was clear boy stacking. I'll def. be on the lookout

Ny nipt results are in! My obs office rang during school drop off and everything came back normal and no abnormalities detected 😀😀🎉🎉🎉🎉 meaning we can tell the boys tonight!!! So excited! I asked her (my obs nurse who rang and who I adore ❤) if she had seen the papers and she said 'I'm looking right at them!' I laughed and said well you know the gender then (she remembered I didn't want to know 😉) I've told dh he's going to have to deal with being team green!
