Today we tested my husbands ph and it was 8.0. We will start our attempt soon what is the quickest way to lower it? And where exactly should it be for the best results?

Messing with pH isn't a good idea since semen needs to be around a pH of 7-8 otherwise sperm die...and you can't get pregnant if there's no sperm!

Most women on this site who've been round swaying for a while have given up on pH. Experience seems to have shown it cuts odds of conceiving and resulted in many opposites anyway.

It seems like prettt much everything is a contradiction so what is the real key to doing this right?

This is just my opinion but when it comes to swaying I like to get my info from the one site. If you're getting info from all over the net there is so much contradictory info you'll drive yourself crazy. I like this site as the underlying principles are based on (current) scientific theories rather than old debunked science or wives tales which many other sites I've seen hang their hopes on.

I know it feels frustrating when the sites don't all agree. But it's because we base our recommendations on the newest and best, most scientifically based facts, and other sites all keep using the same old same old pH, timing, mineral stuff that most of us got boys with. I know it is super annoying at first but the thing is, I just wanted my sway to work and for as many people as possible, to get their desired genders. And I wanted that way more than keeping a bunch of stuff in the mix that didn't work and made it way harder to get pregnant. :)
I am always happy to explain the reasoning behind anything that is different between the various sites. There is always a reason.
The things that have worked for us are LE Diet plus fiber, coffee, alcohol, being sure to drop multivitamins and probiotics, cardio exercise 60 min a day, 5-7 days a week, one attempt in fertile window, smoking and/or jogging/biking for DH, and Clomid or Femara for you if you can get them. Olive Leaf and soy milk for DH may help but I feel less confident in those two than those other things. The rest has not gotten the results we want to see to justify their existence. Now that doesn't mean you can't use them if you want to, but just that you need to know in advance that they are not as successful, and thus when/if it comes time to start dropping things to boost odds of conception, you should start off dropping the things that don't work first, before dropping the things that do. That way you'll get pregnant doing the max number of effective tactics and letting go of the ineffective ones.
